I used to love this art store and hope to go back but the fact that they still enforce a muzzle policy is quite disturbing. i noticed most of towson was set in some sort of scientific stone age where common sense need not apply. a shame.

Always very kind and helpful, I can always count on the people at Plaza Artist Materials to help me out. They go out of their way to answer my questions and find the items I need when I call in advance or when I’m in the store. Truly very accommodating, I recommend them for all of your art supplies and framing needs. Yes, art supplies is extremely expensive, but that’s true no matter where you go. I’ve been buying my art supplies here for as long as I can remember and there’s a reason I keep coming back, even though it’s completely out of my way... when you expect the best, you have to go to the best. They have high quality materials and high quality staff. I’m always grateful for the excellent service I receive every time I walk in.

Theyre pretty good. Got what you need and more. However, its sad to say theyre being outpaced by the same materials online. I get it, its the store mark up but damn. Its like 2/3rds mark up from online.

The staff has done a great job creating a safe environment that limits the number of customers and includes safety barriers at checkout. The store was well stocked and I found everything I needed for a project. They offered to help find items and there is curbside pick up too!

Plaza has a good range of materials for artists, and everything Ive bought within the last year has worked great for me. The location is perfect if youre a student at Towson University, since its walking distance from campus (maybe 15-20 minutes). There are always sales going on and there are plenty of coupons you can get if youre a student! The staff is always very nice and helpful, and they know the store well. Definitely my go-to store as an art major at TU.

They also offer a good selection of higher quality craft tools. Be sure to sign up for the mailing list so you get the coupons(which are awesome, like 50 percent off an unlimited number of any one item. My daughter got a set three different palette sets of PrismaColor brush pens, 72 in total, for $160 between the coupon and a sale, theyre usually over $5 each) and the sale notifications.

Love to be able to see, touch, and try out the materials. Great, personalized service, award-winning instructors teaching workshops, fantastic selection, and competitive prices. A gem in the art community. I have been a customer for nearly twenty years.

Had another good experience here this afternoon. Friendly staff. Very helpful with information about the various products I was looking for to explore the elements of art and a new medium. Im looking forward to taking some fall workshops there too.

I hate the layout with a burning passion. But the staff is nice and theres a pretty good selection of high quality materials, a bit pricey compared to where I usually go which was another down side.

As someone who actively uses a lot of the materials they sell, its a wonderful place to shop for top-notch equipment. They also have employees who know what theyre talking about when trying to help you find what you need.

Best art store around. Dont waste your time with the high end chain stores when you can literally get everything here for a fraction of the price youd pay at ArchAngels or DCMorr. Once again, I am blown away by the customer service and commitment to helping me find the best solution in my price range. I thought Id be told I needed to spend a few hundred dollars to frame an odd shaped certificate but Cindy worked with me to find a beautiful frame on sale that worked just fine, for under $50.
