The clerk I spoke to a couple years ago was very rude and I stopped by today and he was still rude. How did he manage to get such good reviews? I will not return for a third visit.

Greg has repaired a variety of footwear for me: Replacing medium-quality factory soles with high-quality while maintaining the aesthetic of the shoes(Gordon Rush), Narrowing the uppers of some tall (Frye) boots, Reconditioning some older hand-sewn (Red Wing) shoes, and Intensive repairs when a shank broke. In each case he has been patient with my curious discussion, open with stating his expected results, and communicated clearly over the phone and email. Consistent quality results that let me get more enjoyment and use out of my shoes! If you need some shoe work, dont procrastinate, just stop in to discuss it so you can wear them again.

Can I give more than 5 stars? Not only did he restore my 30 year old purse to like new condition, (ladies know about the favorite purse) he recommended shoe inserts that completely alleviated my foot pain. I work 12 hr shifts, 60+ hr a week. I was about to order new shoes at the tune of 175$ . I took a chance and asked about the inserts and he was so knowlagble about my foot condition (Mortons Nuroma) that he was able to recommend an insert that I can use in all my shoes and be pain free no matter which shoes I wear. Cant praise him enough.

My sister has custom made shoes, molded to fit her feet. They cost a mint. This is the only place she will go to get them repaired. Greg does an excellent job at a fair price. We’ve been coming to him for at least 15 years, and we will keep coming as long as he’s in business.

I took a pair of my wife’s Louboutins in to Greg back in Aug. 2019 to have a protective rubberized sole put on the bottom. Not only did he do the protective sole, but he even had the rubber in a color matched red that matched perfect with the rest of the sole.Aside from the color match, his workmanship is second to none. He kept me updated on progress, and had them done quickly. When I picked them up, I couldn’t believe how great they looked and my wife was ecstatic too that she could wear her shoes without fear of completely destroying the bottoms.I don’t have the need for a ton of shoe work, but when I do, I won’t take any of my stuff to anyone but Greg.

Greg is amazing! I needed the heels of my ankle boots fixed FAST as I was leaving for a work trip this afternoon. I found Cobblestone online and decided to give them a try based on their excellent reviews. I know what the 1-star reviewer Rob Spahr was talking about. The guy at the one on Manchester Rd in the Home Depot shopping center is a mixture of about 90% sarcasm and 10% rude. If that isnt your style, youll be put off by it, but I love it! Its a refreshing break from the fake bubbly customer service that is everywhere else, and is entertaining at the least. But he truly is a good guy. Very honest and has probably forgotten more about shoe repair and shoe care than most cobblers will ever learn. He knows his stuff and I wont go anywhere else.

Greg is a rock star! I was surprised to see one of my shoes with the build up featured on the photo page. Let me just say that finding a shop that can put a 2 build up on a variety of shoe types and not have them weigh a ton and in most cases can strip the original sole and put it back on the bottom of the build up is rare. Add to it the personal touch that Greg adds to his business and you have a winning combination. Moved to Ballwin from South County. Needed a cobbler for a heel repair on Italian leather shoes. We have used this Cobblestone center since we moved into the area, from day-one of Gregs management. That was many years ago. He is a great proprietor. He really knows his customers--by name--and does his very best to meet our needs. We use him primarily for the easy and excellent dry cleaning drop off and pick up service he provides. Ive been in his shop when clients ahead of me had shoe dying or repair needs and other concerns such as proper shoe fitting, and it is so great to observe how he serves all clients with the same professional effort. How rare and reassuring, in a suburban world, to find a shop with top of the world service and a small town community feeling about it. Shop has a great selection of shoe and foot comfort accessories. People wont be disappointed coming here.

I have been going to Greg at Cobblestone for some time. He has done great work on repairing my shoes over the years> He also repaired the fancy (to me anyway) heels on my daughters dress boats to near new after she wore them down well past the point of new return. He did a major repair on my sons shoes (My son sent them to us from New York to have the repair done). About two months ago Greg repaired the leather seat cushion from our sons 40+ year old mid century modern Westnofa chair (also sent by my son from NY). Greg went to extra work to apply a special leather conditioner and the cushion looks great should last a good bit longer. Greg is a great person also

I had a pair of riding boots repaired and a pair of heels repaired. The boots needed new zippers and soles. The heels needed a new heel cap. He did a fantastic job!!!! I will definitely be bringing all my shoes here for repairs from now on

He was a snide, sullen, impatient little man. He acted like he didnt care if I was there or not. I tried to have 3 shoes stretched twice and even after the second time he supposedly stretched them they were exactly the same as when I originally brought them in. I guess he just didnt have time for merely stretching shoes. He did end up giving me my money back but I would never consider going there again or recommending this place to anybody. It was a very unpleasant experience and I cant even imagine how this guy has such a good rating.

I have been using Cobblestone for over 8 years now and wouldnt trust anyone else with any of my shoes. I have quite a shoe addiction and Greg has probably seen them all!! Hes able to fix anything from heel tips to the big jobs - from a partial resole to a full job! He even was able to completely repair a pair of my beloved boots where the liner had ripped on the inside. He told me it was going to be difficult and maybe couldnt be fixed, but two weeks later he called me and told me hed done it! And you cant even tell any of the modifications he had to make to fix them. Greg is also top notch when it comes to customer service. This is the only place you should go to get your shoes repaired or buy shoe supplies. Greg provides the best customer service (which is hard to find these days). He loves what he does, knows how to repair shoes, fixes problems and follows through on what he promises to do. He cares about his customers and wants you to be happy with his service. I have kinda funky feet and he is able to tweak my shoes to make them fit better, resole shoes perfectly and even carries a few brands of shoes in his store for purchase. If you are looking for shoes to dye for a wedding, he carries several styles of shoes for you to pick from. This place is a rare find these days when everything is so impersonal and outsourced. Greg is an artisan of his craft.

My shoes came back better than new...he put on Vibram half soles and heals and vastly better than original leather (Bass Weejuns) which are thin. Im so happy with the results, attention to detail, very fine quality and price too! He is a nice guy!!!

Greg is the best. Very quick to respond and very friendly. Brought some Black Suede booties in I bought my wife (Stuart Weitzman Kilgore) they had scuffs all over the heal and marks on the suede. Greg quoted me on a price before seeing the shoes (what it generally cost to clean and repair suede). When I took them in he said he could do it for cheaper and would make them look almost like new. The guy that runs cobblestone shoe repair, which is in the strip mall near home depot, behind verizon wireless, is a real class act nice guy. My cat clawed up my dress shoes and he fixed the leather for me in less than a day for a great price. He also does key copying! Cant reccommend this place enough.

Greg did an amazing job on my Prada bag! my dog had chewed up part of one strap and i needed it sewn back into place but my dog had ate some so the strap was shorter than the other side so greg cleaned up the chewed side and then shortened up the other side and it looks amazing! it is useable which is amazing i thought it wouldnt be useable for me bc of the straps being shorter but nope its perfect!!
