Food is cheap, but you have to be carefull what you buy. Personally I wont buy their meat. but brand named stuff is great. Fruits are priced nicely but sometimes not the greatest taste- its a hit or miss on anything fresh. I used feed my hobby fish the frozen fish from here till I seen how many worms are in it once defrosted.

This location has great produce. The price always amazes me. I pay a fraction of the cost here up against S&S, BigY, etc. Great store - thanks for existing.

Great fruit & produce section! What we bought was fresh with good flavor!

They have a great produce section and the stores prices are the best in town. Granted the selection is sometimes limited, it pays to stop here before going to other major chain super markets.

Place is dirty. Smells like somethings rotten in the entrance vestibule. Store doesnt have a thorough clean policy.Staff is friendly and MOST are helpful...theres maybe a couple bad associates but most part a few have gone out of their way to serve the customers and get products in the sales floor.

Almost always am able to take advantage of the deals. Produce always better here than Aldi because you can pick your own and not have to buy a package

Good prices good produce. I had an employee go out of his way to find me something. I dont know his name but he stocks shelves. The rest of the employees should take note and step up.

They should more concern about the Expiry Date I bought a pack of cheese from them once headed to my place only realized it was expired 2 days before from the purchase date. So disappointed

Big space to spread out, name brand foods, price rite store brand is cheap and delicious, usually great produce, and self check out (my favorite) .The only cons are sometimes its not always stocked and there is usually only 1 cashier working the lines, that causes a long wait.

Shelves were empty, a lot of items were pricey for being in a pricerite, more brand named items than I expected to find here and that was a pleasant surprise. The bathroom was compelled destroyed though. It made the poop actually go back inside me for a while.

Everything is very affordable and easy to find in the store.

I bought saltines PriceRite brandI buy saltines from Walmart, targets, stop n shopAnd I have a picture but no where to post.There are 8 less in the shop rite bag then the stop n shop both saying 16 oz. but 8 crackers time four packs = 32 crackers short. Will not shop here again.

Great store an if its marked that price on the shelf thats what I pay... No issues or complaints here ... Plus they honor the fact of if a price is wrongly marked they readjust it at the register and give you your free one....

I dont like this store at all. It is not departmental at all and the self check out is a joke!! I will never go back to this store again!

Much cheaper than regular grocery store & you can find the same items just not always name brand hence the soup..although they did also have cambells but at a much higher price. The produce dept. Is very large as is the meat dept. I spent roughly $300. Which would have cost me easily 450 in a brand name store. They do sell brand name items as well. Cereals, snacks, chips, yogurts, rice, its just higher priced. They also started taking coupons which is a double plus. Highly recommend.

Ive been going here since I was little to shop. They always have what I need and theyre always respectful.

Youre typical grocery store. The prices are pretty good compared to other chains like BigY and Market 32. The store is fairly clean and the staff are okay.

The prices are very reasonable. The store itself is not very clean, the produce and meat selection never looks edible. The store usually smells pretty gross. But, for non perishable foods, its pretty good considering the low prices. Dont ever try to use their self checkouts as they barely work and are just a general annoyance.

Workers at Torrington Price Rite are very courteous and helpful. Today àn employee went out of his way to get me hand wipes because the package at the door was empty. He told me to wait while he replenished the supply because he felt it was important due to the ongoing virus.

I couldnt find half the stuff I was looking for. Then I used to self scanner and it kept messing up. Its just not worth it the prices arent much better than stop & shop.

Price Rite has always been decent with food, prices, and choices... but their decision to force customers to self check out or wait 45 minutes in line because there is only one actual cashier during busy holiday season is a deal breaker. The self check out was not working correctly anyway. Automation is killing jobs.... I will not be back soon... I sure hope you actually hire more folks

They recently remodeled this store. Its so much better. Everything is orderly and neat, good selection of items, especially ethnic food items you cant find in an average food store. And by golly, it is impossible to beat their prices.

I shopped here once. Prices were much lower than traditional grocery stores although the variety is lacking. I had to stop at another store to supplement, but what I could find was very good and very reasonably priced.Bring a quarter to shop here; youll need it to get a cart.

Great staff that are always helpful.Good selection...Always missing something in the prepackaged coldcut cooler, ether yesterday there was no sliced cheese. Week before no sliced turkey.I dislike having to finish my shopping at Big Y because things are not stocked.

I love to shop at Price Rite especially for produce. They always have a great variety to choose from. The employees go out of their way to help you find what you need. The cashier s are usually very courteous and friendly.

The prices are still awesome alot to chose from & takes coupons unlike some other discount stores. The store looks so good since they opened it up,thats right nomore giant wall where you had to walk around to get out of that section.. customer service is still as GREAT as ever.. The layout of the store makes zero sense. Say I want a certain brand of taco shells. They have one brand in one aisle and another brand in a totally different aisle. And its impossible to find an employee to help you. When you do find an employee, however, they are all very nice. They just take FOREVER to checkout.

Love this place! They have a great selection of ethnic products that you usually wouldnt find in a stop and shop or Aldis. The staff is definitely better than the Aldis further down the street.

Great selection and very reasonable prices. Downside is you should bring bags. Theres a charge that encourages to bring your own. Youre not really borrowing if you arent then go for the boxes and allow that if someone else had packed it that you should again. Works out most every time in season! Ill check in but.......

Great store always clean and people are friendly. The one set back is never have enough registers open a d the lines are super long. I had to just leave a couple of times when I only had a few things. I dont like doing that but it was necessary. The store is always busy so more register operators is warranted. Lots of people on the floor working, need to better use the resources you have. Still like shopping at price rite and go every week.

PR of Torr. Is clean, well stocked,the produce turns over quickly and staff are always helpful. Special items seasonally are a treat to find. My only negative comments are that not enough organic products are available.

From what was once a dingy, downtrodden mess of a store, Price Rite has picked itself up. It is commonplace among the lower class to shop here, and anyone with brains. You can buy name brand cereals and more at half the price of other grocery stores. Now that they remodeled, I wouldnt be surprised if the prices go up, but that would be expected. I think they did a great job. Looks a lot better now.

Price Rite is a good place to shop if you dont have the money to shop at places like Stop and Shop. Though they may not have everything you need, they have almost everything and their cashiers are usually quite friendly. The one thing I wouldnt count on buying there is certain kinds of fruit. Usually their strawberries and oranges have reached their exp date.

Price Rite is pretty great. Used to shop them, but started going to Aldi. Aldi is okay, but produce is better (and much bigger selection) at Price Rite, as is selection and availability of larger quantities (like a half-gallon of olive oil, or 20 lbs of basmati rice). Price Rite also has more vegetarian/vegan items than Aldi. And Aldi is frequently out of stock on things. So Im back to shopping Price Rite regularly, and Aldi rarely.
