I used this place about 7 months ago when my BMW needed new brake pads. They did a great job for reasonable price. I really appreciated the owners straight forward approach, honestly and flexibility. Since I had such a great expreience, I decided I would return this past week because my check engine light was on. He ran the diagnostic for me and found out what the problem was, but he suggested I go to BMW instead because he did the research and found that the parts I needed replaced were still under warranty for my car. He could have easily charged me for diagnostics and repair, instead he told me to take my car back free of charge. Ill be sure to use him for other repairs that arent covered by BMW in the future.
The whole staff (Lydia, Munaj, Mahida) South Bay Euro Car have been wonderful as they’ve serviced my wife’s mini and my car as well. They are very responsive and explain exactly what they propose to do for our issues. They also give me options and honest up front pricing estimates. I know they are doing the right thing for my car at a reasonable cost.

Im staying im California for a week and needed an oil change as well as wiper blades for my BMW X-3. I found this establishment on google and was impressed with the reviews. Now, I can now share my own experience. Mahiba and his son were excellent. They ensured that the services needed were done and completed a safety inspection so that i can make it back home safe. Great work, customer service is great, would definitely recommend to another person. I came here after I had hit a curb really hard and felt like my car’s alignment was off. After I pulled in, I was instantly greeted by the owner, Mahida. One of the technicians took my car and began to work on it, it seemed like a slower morning so my car was done within an hour, very fast service! The technician showed me a printout of the specs and I was able to visually see how bad my car was off. After departing I enjoy driving a lot more than before. Would highly recommend giving them a try, you won’t regret it.
First time visiting Southbay - didn’t know what to expect but happy to say I was treated well. The dealerships tend to be untruthful and withhold a lot of information when it comes to services, so I decided to try out an independent shop. Really happy that I did - i was even mistakenly quoted for a lower price for a Service A and they still honored it even after informing me about the error which was really nice. They even offered some valuable insight about the car itself and things to watch out for. I’ll definitely be returning! I do recommend giving them a chance, friendly knowledgeable and most importantly they’d rather develop a relationship than a one time deal. 👍

I needed to get my flat tire repaired at short notice. They were very nice and helpful!! Fixed my tire within 20 minutes and for a good price and even took the time to explain to me how they fixed my tire. Would highly recommend going here.
Ive been going to South Bay Euro Car for a few years now and have become a regular, I seriously dont go anywhere else! Both Monica and Mahida are excellent with their customer service, they truly do their best to give you the best quotes out there! I have compared to other places in the place but nothing beats their prices!They really do their best to be accommodating and at times even offered me rides to my work/home while they work on my car. Great experience. Dealer suggest that i replace my tires but South Bay Euro save me the replacement cost a saving of $300. Also I replace my BMW battery and xenon headlight here and saved $500 then the dealer.
Mahida has been my mechanic for over 17 years and I wouldnt trust anyone else to work on my cars. He is a trustworthy, honest, and ethical person. He does not over charge nor mislead you, simply he is a darn good honest mechanic. And I would also say that his staff of mechanics are friendly and cordial.
I bought a LEMON from Carson Honda (DO NOT EVER GO TO CARSON HONDA) and Mehida helped me out so much. he explained everything that needed to be fixed in detail, actually cared about my situation, and tried to help me out as much as possible. If you are close enough to his location he will provide a one way ride to your destination. while i have this car i will only trust Southbay Euro car with it. i completely trust them with my car.
I called in to ask about alignment service, and Mahida, the owner, was the one answered the phone. He was able to put me on the schedule for the same day service. On top of their fast sevice, they were honest for what is needed for the car. Overall, I had genuine serives here from everyone that was working there.
I never thought I would have a great experience with anything to do with cars, but this company is really the exception to the rule. They are courteous, knowledgable, honest and totally fair. I had a 40k mile service on my Mercedes which the dealership wanted to charge $1300 for, and Southbay did it for nearly half that. I felt the service was equal quality, and they even refund you back if your car uses less synthetic oil, etc. than expected. I will be going back here for a long time.

I have dropped my 06 BMW M5 with SMG problem, after several shops tried to fix it including BMW dealership. Mahida took it in and figured it out. Super courteous, called me to give me updates on the progress he was making and guess what, He Fricking fixed it. I recomend his shop 100% for any one with SMG problems.
I have an older model mercedes in which the soft assist trunk mechanism would not allow closure causing an error message. Mahida had the part in stock and was able to get it fixed quickly. He was thorough in his expalnation and went out of his way to ensure satisfaction. I would use them again!
My car is the love of my life. It has been with me through thick and thin in the past 4 years. It was my first car and something i brought right out of college with my own hard earned money. Out of all the current car maintenance programs, BMW stands out. Their 4 year or 50,000 mi (whichever is earlier) is unmatchable. My car was covered for everything from general maintenance, to component replacement incase something went wrong for the last four years. But, alas all fairy tales have to come to an end, and so did ours. My first major service was to change brakes pads and brake rotors and I took it to the dealership who quoted an insanely high price to replace them. I was anticipating the costs, but it definitely took me by surprise when i looked at the numbers. With thorough research (on Yelp), I decided to drop by South Bay Euro Car and wanted to hear what they had to say! I dropped by the car and they called me back a few hours later with a price quote much lower than the dealership, but the pessimist i was, i doubted if their service or parts would be a compromise. But decided to trust my gut and go ahead with the repairs. Needless to say, they did an outstanding job.My dad always told me, there are three people in your life you got to find that are absolutely trustworthy, your mechanic, your doctor and your lawyer. I think I found the mechanic(Mahida) and the mechanic shop in South Bay Euro Car (also the doctor in a different story) and hopefully never have to deal with a lawyer. Good job you guys! You won a customer with your honest and good work!

Ive been taking my car to him since my very first BMW and have had no reason to look elsewhere. Mr. Mahida has been the only person I take my Mercedes to for the past 12 years and he has kept my car in great running shape. He is honest and always finishes the work in a timely manner, even when Im in a rush. He always does his best to make it easy for me to understand the problems with the car. A couple of weeks ago, I went to South Bay BMW to have my car serviced and upon inspection, they found that my rear differential, upper strut mounts and rear shock mounts were all cracked. They claimed that if I continued to drive my car that it would be a danger to me and my family. They quoted me over $3200 to get the repairs done.I thought this was all a bunch of B.S. so I searched online for a reputable BMW Master Technician in the area. Mahida and the people over at South Bay Euro Car are very honest and courteous. They did a FREE inspection of my car.Mahida pointed out that there was nothing wrong with my car. He could not find any of the supposed cracks. His technician even put a crowbar under my rear differential to show me that its solid and that it does not need to be replaced. He suggested that my front struts do need to be replaced but not anytime soon and that my car is not a danger to anyone. If I did want to replace the parts that the dealer suggested, he gave me a quote and it was less than 1/3 than what the dealer was charging.I plan on having my car serviced at South Bay Euro Car from now on!

After purchasing my Pre Owned Volvo Xc90 it had suddenly stopped running dead in its tracks a week later of ownership. I am new to owning a foreign car so I was not familiar with repair shops. After finding two different nearby auto shops online which both claimed to be Highly Trained Volvo Specialist I had them each take a look at it. I have a 2011 bmw m6 that I just took to South Bay Euro Car where they installed an after market exhaust system and air intake system and pulleys for me. They were better priced then where I usually go. From now on this is my new shop. Ask for Mihida he is the best!
I have a 2012 MBZ E 350 Convertible and I have been struggling with a driver seat problem that even dealerships like MBZ Beverly Hills were not sure about and quoted me hundreds of $$$ to just diagnose the problem. But Mahida saw the car and within minutes said he will have it fixed in a couple of hours. Best service, know how and expertise on these German cars. They can be quite a problem sometimes. Me and my husband have a 2011 BMW 5 Series that we love. South Bay EuroCar is the only place we trust its truely a blessing in disguise. Everyone who works there is knowledgeable and stay up to date on training. And for this first class service its really budget friendly. This is no ordinary mechnanic shop these people r specialist and are passionate about the cars they work on.We recently took our car for repairs which our warranty covered although my warranty company only wanted to pay for after market parts. South Bay called me right away to tell me. I spoke with Mahida who said he would much rather put genuine parts and that he was going to call the warranty company personally. I dont know how he did it but he got my cheapskate warranty company to approve some better parts. They truely care about thier customers and life of their cars. They even made sure to wash my car before my husband picked it up. 5 stars all the way!!

Honest business, good price, and very best work!I brought my 328i to that shop two days ago due to a check engine light just pop-up last Sunday, my engine was running weird, and super unstable rpms before the repair work.A day later, the manager told me that the check engine light is off, and they are doing the test drive, see if its gonna pop on again.heres the best part, meantime, they also found out and solved an old & nasty engine vibration issue (which has been on for two years, and most ppl suggest that there got be something wrong with the engine, if so, thats gonna cost me quite a small fortune! ). The manager told me that, it was due to my engine mount & transmission mount were both dangerously worn out, and ask me if I would authorize them to fix that, after I agreed to give it a try, by this afternoon, the very moment I started up my car, it was a big WOW!That terribly annoying engine vibration was completely GONE, which even made me double-checked if I had started up my car or not...Now its running super smooth, idles super quiet, almost like a new one!If you are reading this review, trust its rate, I found this shop because of the same reason.
My 2003 Volvo S40s engine was miss firing and the check engine light was on. The power on the compression was really low and I could not safely drive on the freeway. I took my Volvo in at ten in the morning and Mahida (the owner) told me he would check it out and call me by 1PM.At 1PM he called and told me that the spark plugs and the wiring harness need to be changed. He gave me an 90% chance that this would solve my problems. Mahida advised that he would call back at 5PM and give me an update.At 5PM he called and gave me the good news. My 2003 Volvo S40 was back to fully operational. A big problem taken care of in less than a day and at nominal cost. Most importantly I found Mahida to be an honest mechanic and his promise on the follow up was spot on. Thanks! I wish you good business and a prosperous 2013. Thanks!!!

I know Mahida of Southbay Euro Car since my 1990 Volvo DL station wagon days. For a while I turned to Japanese cars and did not have much contact with Mahida, but for the last 10 years I went back to European cars, now I still own a Mercedes C-class, an E-class and a S-class. My relationship with Mahida had always been cordial. I had a car problem or maintenance needs to be done, I went to Southbay Euro Car and Mahida gets the problem solved and the maintenance done for me. Mahida gave me the impression of an honest and knowledgeable owner mechanic and I feel I can trust him. Mahida also employs some very good people in the industry from the receptionist to the junior mechanic. They are all friendly; all seem capable and happy of what they are doing. The work performed by Southbay Euro Car was always good as I think it should be. I took it for granted and thats why it never crossed my mind that I need to write a review for them. A late incident made me think that they deserve my accolade. A couple months ago, my 2007 S class s check engine light was on. I took it to Mahida thinking it was a simple fix. Mahida did a diagnostic on the car and suggested me taking the car to a Mercedes dealer because it could be an engine problem and since my car only have 30,000 miles on it. I should be able to get some financial aid for it. The Mercedes dealer charged me $700 for the diagnostic and confirmed a well-known and well-documented problem of that years car (I found that out from the internet while the car is in their shop). In fact, there was a class lawsuit judgment against Mercedes on that years S-class on the same problem. Mercedes have to fix the problem free of charge. However, the pay out period had expired 6 months ago and the Mercedes of North America refused to help for that same reason. They claimed that they had fulfilled the lawsuit requirement. I dont think that is fair that the dealer should charge me $700 to diagnose a problem they are well aware of and that Mercedes of North America refused even partial help for a problem that they are fully responsible for. The total repair bill will be more than $7,000 including the $700 I already paid them. I cannot reward the unjust. The only recourse I have is to take my business somewhere else. I talked to Mahida and he is kind enough to take up the job despite a busy schedule. He gave me a big discount on what the Mercedes dealer was asking. Although it was still a lot of money but I think it was a fair and good deal for me because the task did take many days and expertise to complete. I got my car back a week ago and the car is running better than before. I cannot thank Mahida and the people in the Southbay Euro Car enough. I hope they will accept my friendship for a long and prosperous relationship to come.I highly recommend Southbay Euro Car to anyone who need their car care. I often told people money is one thing, when you take your car to the shop the most important thing is to get the problem fixed. Based on my over 20 years experience with Mahida and the people in Southbay Euro Car, I can trust them for a job well done and a fair price. I think you should be able to too.
Mahida is a very good at what he does and I have been through many Volvo mechanics. The fact the he stays up on changing technology with automobiles and passes this information on to his employees to do it corrrectly is the stuff not good but excellent mechanics are made of. I live in Compton and I will drive to Torrance with all my Volvos. I look to purchase my next vehicle from him and of course, have them service it. I have sent several freinds with foreign cars to him and he was consistently good with their cars also. I would recommend anyone with a BMW, Volvo, Mercedes, or Mini to go to South Bay Euro Car
Mahida is the best mechanic I have found. He is extremely honest and does great work. He takes pride is his business and it shows. As others have stated, Mahida will never pressure you to get any work done unless he feels it is an immediate need for safety reasons.The customer service they provide is wonderful. Mahida and his staff take the time to talk to you about your concerns with your car and clearly explain the work needed. Mahida also knows all of his customers by name which I find incredible. OMG! let me start out by saying that I am a pretty neutral/positive person with an adequate dose of reasoning. My first visit for an oil change several months ago went exceptionally well from beginning to end. I had done a bit of research and felt assured that I had made the right choice. Now, upon my second visit to deal with my dash warning light to address my batteries (320 E Class Benz); I contact company, drop my car off overnight to address the issue. That issue was taken care of. Upon returning home from repair shop I notice that my steering column/wheel is not automatically adjusting according to memory as it has always done and was doing so when I dropped my car off for repairs. I immediately called the owner whose name escapes me for good reason...he says to bring back on next day. The next day he was not there so I had a conversation with Monica who was suddenly no longer pleasant and informative but was defensive and shying away from any possibility that it was possible due to her self-admitted technician whom, as she puts it is Taller than the average guy who tried to manually adjust my steering column to accommodate him driving the car. I was simply asking that whatever small maneuver this technician did maybe he could just reverse it and I would be a happy camper. I was met with hostility from Monica beyond necessary. I was told to come back (day 3 and 483.00$ later) to see the Owner. I arrived Sat morning and greeted the staff of which I could clearly see that they were waiting for my visit with fangs showing.That is not of concern to me because I am a professional and only want working that which was working upon my visit for repair. The owner (whats his name), swiftly arouse and began ruminating something under his breath as we walked toward my car. I explained my position therein, and he stated that it was broken when I arrived to his shop and that his technician could not have possible caused this mechanism to malfunction (Im paraphrasing of course) because this man speaks in parables which work for him bus is condescending to the general public with at least average intelligence. Nonetheless, this mans mannerism was hostile, rude, unethical and unreasonable. I attempted to calmly ask if we could split the diagnostic cost (he adamantly stated that he would charge me 101$ to diagnose the problem) given the circumstances. He said no, I will not. I asked if this is worth loosing a customer over; he vehemently raised his hands and said: I dont need the business. Wow...Southern California consumers/customers...did you know that this person has such a dismissive sentiment toward his customers? I surely found out that he does. I find that to be a pompous disposition.I then stated that I would most certainly be documenting my experience on Yelp and he, at that point lost what was left of his composure completely and grabbed my door and prevented me from entering my car and closing my door. I told him that I would call the police if he did not unhand my door and that is when he released my door. I remained calm and calmly told this man that this was not good business ethics and to go to H#$%. He yelled out. I will sue you. Funny...he is not only unprofessional and hostile with women customers...he is uninformed of tenants of the US Constitution and the 1st Amendment.Yelpers...take this review for what it is worth, this is a horrible business and as stated by the owner he does not need the business anyway, then why give it to him when you have a choice of other reputable companies that will stand by their service and treat customers with respect and poses the ability to solve problems without hostility, yelling and physical aggression. Perhaps this person could benefit from some Mindfulness skill-building, not to mention practicing basic respect with the public.Go where your dollars are appreciated in the exchange of currency for service.
As she sensed that I might need a drink, some meds, or even a doctor after giving me the bad news, Monica recommended that I check with the dealer to see if the companys low-emissions vehicle warrantee applied to my low-e E350. Whew! The warrantee covered the job! Just paid for SBECs diagnosis and had to get it to the dealer.The estimate she had conveyed to me for replacing the fuel pump and the CONNECTED gas tank (sinister technology) plus labour was 3100.00!!!Its been a minute, but I called today to thank her but she was busy. So to do one better, this review is my sincere thanks to her, boss hog Mahida and company for the information and solution. Good people. Ever since my dad first got our used Volvo, and now (between us both), 5 used euro cars later, we still go to Mahidas shop to get them serviced. My dads current Benz (99) is still running great at 185k miles under Mahida and Johns care. My last Benz (95) was well over 160k before I decided to update to my current ride (also taking it to Mahidas).The service here is always top notch! They will first give you a quote before starting any work, so there are always communication and no surprises when the bill comes. They go above and beyond for inspection, and only advise servicing when you absolutely need to. You can also ask to look at parts that they replace, and they will explain all the procedure & logic behind whats wrong with the car.Ive had the dealer service experience before and that ended with a bad experience (lots of up-sells and high price quotes). Ive happy to have a reliable mechanic to go to with South Bay Euro Car!
Worst service experience of my long life. Brought my car in Dec 28th to Brian, he didnt even bother call me as adviced. He didnt return any of my calls ever. Terrible.
Recently, South Bay Euro Car solved a long time electrical mystery with my older 1994 Volvo 940 [red] wagon. I bought it 18 months ago, and it would not start when the engine was hot. Because something in the electrical system overheated. [not the cooling system]. Mahida, the owner of SBEC, told me it was one of several possible reasons and that he would do his best to find it and fix it. He was the best investigator I have ever seen...very calm [when I was not], patient [with me and the car] and committed to find the problem. He did and he fixed it. Now I have the coolest red Volvo station wagon that starts and runs dependably. Go see South Bay Euro Car. They will work hard and smart to earn your trust and business. Update.........I just wanted to give an update b/c once again I had exceptional service at South Bay Euro Car! The shop moved down the street a short distance to a bigger location, which makes it even easier to get to. Same great people and same great service! I think it is always difficult to find a business you can trust in such a large city as Los Angeles. Mahida, and his team, provide both excellent customer service and excellent pricing!Previous review -I have been going to Southbay Euro since I got my Volvo in 2006 and I wouldnt trust my car to anyone else (not even the Volvo dealer). Mahida, John and the whole team have always maintenanced my car and solved any issues that I was having in a timely and cost effective manner. In fact, one of the reasons I love it here is b/c they never try to sell me on repairs that I do not need. I trust them and I have always had a wonderful experience. In addition, they explain things to me when I have questions (I am a question asker....just ask my husband). There isnt a better repair shop anywhere in Southern California. Every single person who works there is warm and welcoming as well. There is a reason why everyone in the neighborhood goes here for car services. The customer service and expert repairs are unmatched. Thanks guys!
Have been going to Southbay Euro Car for over 10 years. They have serviced the following cars for my family: 87 740 T volvo; 91 740T volvo; 94 500sl Mercedes, 99 320e Mercedes, 2001 Honda Odyssey and 2004 Honda CRV. I have always been treated with respect. They have always explained my issues and prices before repairs. They have reviewed my kids cars before long trips to make sure they are fine. Great trust in the team. We are totally comfortable sending our daughters to the shop to get repairs--know they will not be taken advantage of. We drive from West LA, a good 30 minutes without traffic. Yes, we tried more local companies but all ended in uncomfortable and unsatisfying experiences. Southbay Euro Car is the way to go. I am a definite supporter and patron!

My dad has known and taken his cars to Mahida for over 20 years...before Mahida even took over the business. I am the second generation of our family to repair our cars at South Bay Euro Car and between 4 Volvos and 2 BMWs we are very happy with Mahida and his team. It is refreshing to take our cars to a repair shop that is so honest, hardworking, and reliable. I would definitely recommend South Bay Euro Car to any European car owners.
There arent enough stars to award this business - they should have TEN stars!!I have been a faithful customer of South Bay Euro Car since 1993. Mahida was first the lead mechanic of the shop, and then becoming the owner. South Bay Euro serviced my 1987 Volvo superbly, with the lead mechanic, John, assigned to it. That car lasted 21 years, thanks to South Bay Euro Car. When parts were then hard to find, I sadly drove it to the salvage yard in 2008.When shopping for a new vehicle, I only wanted to buy a Volvo, Mercedes Benz, BMW, or Mini Coop because I wanted vehicle that could still be serviced by Mahida and his staff. Mahida is honest, fair, TRUSTWORTHY and very reasonable. He stands behind the work done at his shop. Mahida will provide you with any worn out parts that has been replaced in your service, as proof. Best of all, Mahida will inform you of service that should be completed immediately or if it can wait until the next maintenance service. You cant ask for anything better than that.A few years ago, Mahida purchased a tire shop and combined the auto repair service to provide a more cohesive service for his customers. Just purchased a new set of tires last month from them. Munajj even completed my rebate certificate for me!!The new location is perfect; parking is never a problem (former location); and comfortable for customers while waiting for service.The mechanics and office staff are friendly, neat in appearance, and respectful. Some even know me by name - I guess after 20+ years, they have come to know me. Mahida, John, Munajj, Eddy and others make a great team.I recommend South Bay Euro Car to everyone!! All customers are treated well; like family.
This Guyz Momad or Madi i dont really know how to say it try to say how good they are and how cheap they are from the dealer. I had my lights fixed and after six months they were not working I took it back and was told that they need to change this and that and it will cost me $2000.00. I told them that they just fixed this 6 months a ago and why i need all this new stuff. I got the run a round and mombo jambo I dont know anything about cars. Took it another bmw guy and all it was a wire and a fuse that needed to be fixed. STAY AWAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!update July 2013, not a fake review Bro. im real and i was at your business and you did a bad job on my car.

THEY USED ORIGINAL EQIPMENT WICH COST A FORTUNE AT THE DEALER. ITS THE BEST REPAIR SHOP FOR BMW AND MERCEDEZ I EVER BEEN TOO. WILL DEFENETLLY RETURN.
I was referred to them and was told that they are cheaper then the dealer. I called this place and was put on hold for a while. then I get some guy which quoted me $250.00 for oil change. Give me a break, i know when you hear a womans voice you just jack up the price of oil change.
