Nice ambience and coffee was good. But I went before the mask lift I went and no one wore masks, people making my food were breathing all over it. No hygiene or cleanliness, and definitely not covid conscious to anyone who wanted to stay safe. Staff not friendly to me probably because I was wearing a mask but it was my first time there. I went to eat outside and had to wipe all the pollen off my own seat and table. Poor service.

An interesting little shop. It is not a fast food, quick in and out store like Dunkin or Starbucks, but the coffee is good.

I want to start off by saying their coffee is very very good and it’s such a cute spot with a very unique menu. The owner is super friendly and has always been so nice and welcoming. However, I always get the same thing and always seem to get charged a different price. All I usually get is espresso and got charged $6.50 today for a few shots and nothing else in it. I also tried to go on a random weekday once and they were closed, which was very disappointing because I was really looking forward to their coffee. The coffee itself is great but as a whole they are very inconsistent.

Breakfast was great. Nice and clean establishment. Waffle was great and so was the Peppermint Mocha. Will return. I did not rate 5 because the coffee mugs were extremely worn and need to be replaced.

Love the vibe and the theme. Their bacon n chipotle Apple slaw sandwich is awesome. Speciality drinks are great especially “ the perfect drug”! Very nice and patient to this first time and definitely repeat customer. Everyone nearby needs to come in, look around and enjoy!!

Ive been wanting to try their coffee for over a year since I found them on Instagram but never found my way over there. My boyfriend and I got their Cold as Ice and Slipknot coffees and we were beyond impressed. Well definitely be coming back for more!

This is easily the best coffee place in Toms River, and possibly the best one in Ocean County. I recently returned to the area from the Pacific Northwest, and Ive missed the high quality coffee that was abundant out there. Bubbys has a great selection of roasts, and all of their coffee is prepared using the pour-over method. They also do their own flavored creamers, but I encourage you to try the coffee without them first.Bubbys is part of a new wave of businesses in downtown Toms River, and I strongly recommend giving them a try!

OMG where do I begin! First things first. They have so much coffee, so many flavors and they also have fresh baked items. I got a 16 oz ice coffee for only 3.50. The music and decor is awesome and it is great!

Best coffee in Toms River! All of their coffees are brewed fresh to order with their own roasted beans. Theyre all so flavorful! They have a really cool atmosphere too, full of band merch, vinyl, and more! The owner is a great guy and the whole staff is always friendly. The music and friendly faces definitely give Downtown TR a much needed uplift in good vibes.

A friend of mine said this place had a chilled out sexy vibe. It does, plus awesome coffee, and drinks. Caffeine Johnny really knows how to hand brew a Cup o Joe. His blend of subtle spices and flavors make the big guys in the coffee world seem like amateurs. Plus, if you love Rock and Roll, or music in general, you will love the atmosphere! You can browse through music memorabilia and vinyl records that you can purchase. Love that Vampire couch!

Bubbys Beanery easily has the best coffee and the most character out of all other businesses in Downtown Toms River! Their coffee and tea is organic and is basically an explosion of flavor in your mouth! I literally go in there everyday to order some tea and just to enjoy the place. I am super happy they are in business and I can literally spend hours upon hours talking to the extremely friendly staff, flipping through the vinyl records they sell, and seamlessly endless amount of music memorabilia they sell. If y’all love coffee, music, or just want to check out an amazing up-and-coming local store then this place is an absolute MUST!!!

Small but very nostalgic. They have a large selection of super high quality teas and they are amazing iced. They didnt have as many options to eat as I thought they would but what they had was good and super high quality. No where to really sit because its so small. Its a takeout place in my opinion but they are very into helping musicians in the area with exposure and they sell vintage music records and local artisans work which is cool . I was expecting to be able to get a sandwich or something light to go with my drink but I guess I got there after lunch time and they didnt have much food but they did have baked items available. Ive also bought the caraffes of coffee for a large group of people and everyone loved it.

Hands down the best coffee spot in Toms River, and probably my favorite in NJ. The coffee is outstanding, the baked goods are always fresh and delicious, and the atmosphere is super chill. The Chocolate Jesus was incredible with the house made Nutella whipped cream. Service is always stellar. I stop in every time Im in Toms River for work!

Best coffee shop! The owner is awesome. Great music and coffee. Try Purple Haze coffee with the homemade coconut creamer. It is excellent! Their teas are full of flavor too if coffee isnt your thing.

Easily the best coffee Ive had around. They have many unique and varied coffee flavors, along with different kinds of hot chocolate and tea. I have not yet tried their food, with the exception of their baked goods, which are delicious. I would definitely recommend.

Really cool place especially if you are a music lover. You can stop in buy a record and enjoy great coffee. The coffee is probably the best in the area. Its a small place, but there is a couch and some chairs, and a record player. I wish they were opened later, but thats a TR problem.

You walk up to the counter to order and your food gets delivered. It was pretty busy and we felt rushed but the food was good and priced well. Id go back.

This review is almost 2 months too late, but the one time I stopped by was a fantastic little surprise. Great coffee, cool people, cozy atmosphere. If I didnt move to the other side of the country, I would make it a regular stop.

Bubbys is my go-to coffee spot! Literally every single coffee on the menu is BEYOND. They are so flavorful, bold, and really just a treat. My go-to is literally any of the coffees (Ive tried them all) iced, with a homemade cream. Perfect drink. Great spot to stop in and chat - baristas and owner are down to earth, chill people and you can obviously tell that the owner loves his store and what he is doing. Every drink is made to order, and if you order a croissant or bagel it is toasted for you if you would like. Awesome spot - highly recommend.

My wife and I spotted this place while walking into the library. They opened about two weeks ago. We are very excited to get a cool coffee spot walking distance from our house. We got the Joes Garage iced coffee and it really was delicious. They also carry Obcos Donuts. The owner was incredibly personable and I hope they do well. We will absolutely be back.

This place is fantastic. They offer several different coffee blends and offer them hot or cold as well as a selection of iced tea. They also have bagels, cakes and other snacks to compliment your beverage of choice. There is always classic rock playing on the speakers and vinyl LPs decorating the walls. Most if not all of the vinyl is for sale as well as a few cassette tapes I spied on my last trip there. Also for sale you will find a small selection of used books, some jewelry, essential oils, and CDs from a couple of local artists. Definitely a great place to take five and hang out a bit.

I love this new coffee shop! The owner is extremely friendly and the coffee is unique. The front of the shop offers a good selection of used records. I came for the coffee and left with that plus 10 records and an Ob-Co donut. Very happy to have them in town!

Quant little cafe in downtown Toms River. Enjoy specialty house coffee and tea drinks while surrounded by musical nostalgia. You get a feel of the late 60s, early 70s in this cafe. Only complaint is its too small. Hopefully they expand some day soon. Spread the word.

Me and my husband decided to stop here impromptu (just mins off parkway exit 81) enroute to cape May. So worth it! Coffee was absolutely delicious, staff was super personable and welcoming (and not pretentious at all! It was totally cool that i was putting cream and sugar in my coffee! Ha!). Shop had tons of character. Overall the type of establishment you want to support and see succeed!

Bubbys Beanery is a small rock themed coffee shop that serves a variety of regular but also single origin coffees as well as bagels and baked goods. They also have rock memorabilia and tchochkes for sale. The coffee is good and I appreciate the specialty coffee variety. Reasonable prices, as well. The only drawback is the space, theres a small couch and thats about it for seating so it can feel cramped, and definitely more of a to go place. A great addition to downtown TR.

Best coffee ever. This is my usual coffee shop that I go to. My favorite is cold brew with coconut cream. It tastes amazing.Every coffee is good and has a good flavor. But if you don’t even like coffee they have the best baked goods. There is a little wait so I recommend spending around 30 mins or more! But it’s worth it. Employees/baristas are nice and kind.

I got the peppermint iced hot chocolate and omg it was soooo good like really, really good. highly recommend!

I went in and purchased a record (pink Floyd dark side of the Moon) and when I went home to test it out, on my new unopened record player, I put the needle on the record and it played this really eerie creepy scratching sound, it sounded like scratching and screaming rolled into one. Also one of the employees asked me if I could afford the album (why would I pick it up if I cant but it)

Was out Downtown today with my gf. We came across a small hole in the wall “coffee shop” if you wanna call it that. First off, we got the drink of the month “Brass Monkey” thing and it tasted horrible, there was way too much of the vanilla that you couldn’t even taste the banana and chocolate. Second off, my gf got a cinnamon bun and it was hard and stale. I got the Walking Tacos and it was literally just Doritos with beef, cheese and lettuce... Absolutely DISGUSTING!!! We ended up throwing everything in the trash, that’s how bad it was. Would never recommend this place to anyone. I normally don’t write bad reviews but this place was that bad.
