Went on a Saturday afternoon and there was no crowd, so I was able to walk around freely and enjoy the artworks in peace. Saw Rodin, Picasso, Andy Warhol, and Van Gogh. It took me about 1.5 hours to go through both wings of the museum. Staff members are very friendly. Parking lot is spacious & has designated spots for electric cars.

The Toledo Museum of Art has a wonderful collection of art. It is very accessible with convenient access and parking. The art covers a large genre of art: from print, painting, sculpture along with works in aesthetic art expressed in furniture, carves stone and glass. It is an excellent mix of modern, impressionist and traditional expressions of art.Our visit to the museum with our grandchildren today was an introduction to the protocols, the beauty and necessity of fine art in a cultured world. I knew that I would enjoy the museum. I am well pleased that they each found their own points of pleasure which piqued an interest in the arts.

I wrongfully believed that an art museum in Toledo would have what would be considered a laughable collection at best. Im pleased to have been proven utterly incorrect, and pleasantly surprised at the variety and scope of pieces on display. We also got to visit during the Paranormal exhibit, which was amazing! I had barely gotten past the first few pieces when we unfortunately ran out time, so I wasnt able to spend nearly as much time there as I would have liked. All in all, it was a more than satisfying experience that I will definitely look forward to having again.

My son took the Art in the Dark class and he loved it! He wants to take more classes there. I really like how, not only is it a specific class, but they also got to visit parts of the museum and learn about different exhibits too. He worked on several pieces of art over a week. Definitely recommend!

What a treat! This is one of the best destinations on our trip. What a bargain! I believe its 30,000 pieces of Art and a $0 admission fee! Only $8 for parking and you get the likes of Picasso, Van Gogh, Monet and Egyptian art and more things than I could possibly name. It would take probably several days to get through this Museum and we plan to return next month.

Enjoyed the wonderful selection of art at this museum. Super friendly staff and it was free!! $8 to park and their cafe looked wonderful, we packed our lunch and had a picnic but next time we will eat there. A super cool Super natural exhibit is there right now. Easy to walk through all the different exhibits without getting turned around, dont forget the sculpture garden outside, so beautiful!

Admission was free for the museum, $25 total for two adults and three kids under the age of 8 for the special exhibit, and $8 for parking. The docents were all very pleasant, helpful, and knowledgeable. One of them alerted me to the existence of a wellness room for nursing mothers (sink and very comfy chair, but no changing table - thats in the bathroom around the corner). The family center was great, as was its staff. The kids wanted to keep making their own art and didnt want to leave to explore the museum - but we managed to coax them out and get them wandering. A lot of great art by well-known artists, and even more by people Id never heard of. I particularly enjoyed the room set up to encourage mindfulness, and the exhibit of Egyptian and Greco-Roman antiquities. The kids liked the special exhibit on knights and armor, as well as the medieval weapons demonstration. And we all enjoyed the outdoor sculptures. We look forward to returning and exploring some more!

First visit to Toledo and the museum. Was quite impressed with our tour. Plenty to see in each gallery. The guides were quite helpful, providing background info on so many pieces and answering questions. The food in the cafe is a but pricy, but it was about how much wed pay at our local Panera (and far better), plus we had a museum visit! Id say that the parking fee plus meal cost was worth it! (I ate the veggie sandwich on whole-grain bread and it was fantastic!)

The Toledo Museum of Art is probably the best place to go to in Toledo, Ohio, despite the cranky and very old guards. What is their secret of longevity? Those guards have all been there since I was a kid in the 70s and they were old back then. However, they do seem to be dedicated to their jobs. Either way, just go to the art museum and absorb some culture. For crying out loud, its free!
