Initially, we shopped Gross Electric and Buehler to humor our builder as he encouraged us to just go there. With our build, we were planning on saving money via the internet and big box stores but went as a courtesy. Ive never been more wrong! They exceed our expectations in both service and price. Laurie, Pete, and staff went above and beyond for our lighting and decorative hardware needs. We had so many great experiences there; from the creative sales to looking through catalogs for the perfect fixtures and hardware. The prices are great but its the local service and expertise that keeps us coming back. Give them an opportunity for your business as buying local is more than just a trend its worth your time.

As a contractor, Gross electric is the most reasonable and reliable source for all my electrical needs in the greater Toledo area, not only do they carry my basic needs at all locations and are always in stock and ready for pick-up with just one phone call to Jacob or Rick, but also the showroom associates Natalie and Pete Buehler always get me the necessary materials for my job promptly and with ease. Whenever as problem arises with material or fixtures the team at gross electric goes out of their way to get me replacement parts in an urgent manner with professionalism and class. It is a PLEASURE doing business with them!

Husband and I went into showroom to purchase knobs for our kitchen cabinets. The salesman was very arrogant, tried to sell me something I did not like or even close to what I was looking at, he became very argumentative. I then asked for the price per knob that I originally went in to look at and he said well you are lucky, someone else just placed an order so you wont have to pay for shipping. I never once indicated I was placing an ordered, I simply asked the price per knob. I then said, you do not stock these, he rudely said no. I told him, I would order them myself. Husband and I walked away. He yelled through the showroom you wont find them cheaper anywhere else, I turned around and said then that means your price is below $2.00 per knob? He very rudely yelled back you wont get the same quality. Well Mr Arrogant, I have placed my order with a different company for the exact knob and brand for $1.88 per knob. I also know that, today was my first time coming in your store and was my last.

They had the oddball fuses i needed in stock and the staff was super helpful. Great experience.

Ive always had good experiences with Gross Electric. Sales associates, especially Samantha, keep me informed about sales and special promotions. The merchandise is unique and high quality. Advice from employees about placement of merchandise is truly valued.

Update to original review: I have now changed my review from 1 star to 5 stars. When the owner saw my review she contacted me. After hearing my story she made things right. In addition, she spoke with her employees about handling an unhappy customer. Now if I have other lighting needs, I will happily use Gross Electric again. Knowing that a company will stand behind their products is important. This has been a learning experience for almost everyone, including me.Original review: Bought fixtures for over our vanities. Went in to buy 6 expensive ceiling fans. I wanted to shop local and not online. Sales person seemed initially helpful and fairly knowledge, but then abruptly ditched me for a couple. She stated she did not have any appointments and had plenty of time to help me. What a joke. Will be going elsewhere.

I love this store. They are lighting problem solvers. Im not an electrician but they share all the little tips and techniques to help me solve my problems and answer my problems.

Lots of fun stuff to look at. I went to get a specialty bulb and found what I was looking for.

Slow service and condescending attitude from Frank. The other sales person in the back warehouse was better, and thats the only reason Im giving three stars. Otherwise it would be one star. The pricing can be somewhat better on specialty items but mostly overpriced.

I walked around the entire store and despite the fact that 6 people were working and there were hardly any other customers no one approached me or asked to help me. Finally I went to the front to ask a question and the employee seemed surprised and annoyed at having to answer my question.

Best place in town for all your lighting needs

Sometimes the service is good and sometimes its sooty. Prices tend to be on the high side unless somethings on sale.

Over priced and unless you want to spend a lot of money with them the service is very poor. This is the last place I will do business for lighting or electrical needs.
