Wow! I had Matt service my garage door today. Before he came the remotes were not working right and the door would often stop half way up when opening. The opener unit was well over 20 years old and I was expecting him to tell me it needed to be replaced. I was ready for a BIG bill.As he dug into the details, he also found that the capacitor was dry-rotted, the main springs were loose, the limiter switch not in the ideal spot, and the wiring to one of the sensors was bad. He replaced the capacitor with one he had in his truck. (old capacitor is in the picture) He lubed all of the hinges, springs and the drive. He reprogrammed the remotes and showed me how to do it myself. He cleaned out some jury-rigged wiring to prevent any future mishaps. Total time: well over an hour.OK. I was still expecting a $200+ bill for all the time, wire and capacitor. Nope. Only $127.97 after tax!! And there was no pressure to buy anything. I doubt you’ll find a better deal or a more thorough & honest service experience.

Our thirteen year old 2-car garage door broke a cable on one side just as I was leaving for work in the morning. I closed the garage as best as I could manually and my husband called to see if someone could come out to fix it. We had a 4-hour window during the time of day that worked best for us and were given a courtesy call 20 minutes before arriving - so helpful!! Matt 273 came, introduced himself to me and immediately got to work after seeing the problem. He was very personable and even knew that I had to go run a quick errand but would be back. He was just finishing up in the 1/2 an hour that I was gone and explained everything and showed me what he did to fix my husbands side of the garage. He replaced not just the one broken cable, but both cables as he said he inspected the other side and saw the rust and the fraying on that cable and that it would only be a matter of time before that one broke too. He then greased everything that needed to be (its so quiet now!) as well as adjusted the chain because it was loose too. Being that the 2-car garage door is the most used door on the garage because of the key pad entry, I didnt expect the full inspection on the unit - just the one cable to be replaced. What great service and very affordable! He was extremely professional, efficient and reliable. I am so happy that he was able to come out when he did and repair it so quickly! Thank you, Matt!

Had an quote done in November they still honored in January. They had a cancellation and were able to get my door in a week and half early. They installed no problems no hassle. The worst experience I have ever had buying something and having it installed. Salesman Ryan was rude.took like 8 trips to finally get it right. Out of everybody Dave was the most helpful. This place had the part in stock that I needed for my overhead door garage door opener. Friendly staff, they help me out over the phone and in person. Nice to have the part immediately instead of having to wait to have something shipped from the internet. I had done business with another door and window company for over 25 years. We recently purchased a home and called Overhead Door of Toledo to come out and service our garage door before winter. The day before they were scheduled to come out, the operator stopped working. Upon arrival, they thoroughly checked everything out and due to the age of the current operator, it was discovered parts were going to be difficult to get. The current operator was so loud, everyone could hear the door whenever it opened or closed. We agreed it was time to replace the operator. Taylor was wonderful! He had the new operator installed, door, springs, etc. all inspected/serviced/lubricated in no time at all. He showed us the new keypad/openers and answered any questions we had. We are amazed at how quiet the new operator is! You barely hear it open/close. Thank you Overhead Door of Toledo! We are looking forward to you being out next week to service the gas fireplace.

Called in last week to see if i could get help finding out what was wrong with my opener, I was transferred to Cole I had very little knowledge on the specs of the opener just knew the brand and what the door was doing. He seemed to be very knowledgeable on my issues and was able to supply me with a new logic board and told me how to install it. Went just as he explained. Overall great company, staff was very helpful.

We have been in our home for 22 years and have only used Overhead Door for service which has included a new opener, new cables, a new spring and today a new remote keypad. We have been very pleased with the quality, professionalism and promptness for service. Today, Matt did a great job on installing the keypad. Matt called to let me know he was on his way and arrived when he said he would.

We have used the Overhead Door Company on many new, high end houses that we have constructed. They have a nice selection of doors, fireplaces, grills, windows, etc. I feel they have nice customer service and the employees are really helpful. Their installers are paid employees so you have a more consistent install and level of service vs some other companies who subcontract the installs. If youre looking for a new door, repair to an existing one or any other services they offer, I would suggest checking them out!

I have worked with them on my garage doors, outdoor kitchen, a fire pit, outdoor furniture, windows for my entire house (probably 30 windows), referred for roofs and will probably soon buy an awning. They will not be the cheapest, but they are the best I have worked with in terms of quality and service. I have not yet needed to repurchase any of the items. Come to think of it, I should probably get some sort of award for the amount of business given and referred!!! Staff is great!!!

Sales team is extremely responsive, returning phone calls and emails quickly. They sent out a representative in short order to provide a quote and they walked through my home inspecting all of my doors and giving great feedback of how to improve the seal and protect my home. I felt very comfortable with the service provided, so I put my 50% down payment on two exterior doors and a storm door in September with an expected installation date late October/early November.Because of a ThermaTru material defect on the front door, my install date did not take place in early November as expected, which is not Overhead Doors fault. However, the information on the defect was not communicated to me until after I called 3 business days after the door had arrived. I believe the information could have been better communicated, but I was happy with their response that they were in contact with ThermaTru to understand the issue and to get it resolved as soon as possible.Because of the front door defect, they offered to install the patio and storm door while waiting. With the cold weather coming, I reorganized my schedule in short order to work from home to make it happen. The old door was removed and new door installed when the installer called me in to confirm the door was supposed to have a new transom, which it was. The door delivered to my home did not have the new transom as discussed due to an order submitting error, so they put together the new door with old transom, apologized for mix up and said they were get the transom ordered/installed as soon as possible. Also, the storm door was not installed (separate door from the patio door).I was thrown on the schedule for 12/30, to install the new transom, the storm door and the front door and I again rearranged my schedule to work from home. After confirming the shipment arrived in proper order, they called to clarify that the transom did not arrive when expected and the install would only be the storm door and front door. Today, they removed the old door taking the pieces out to their truck. For an hour, I had a giant hole in the front of my home before they brought the old door pieces back to the house and re-installed my old door. When it was all sealed up, they told me the ThermaTru prefinishing on the door was not up to standard, they should have caught it in the warehouse, and that they would not install the new door until the issue was resolved. On the bright side, the storm door was installed and Im happy with it.This is an incomplete review, as Im still waiting for the two door installations to be completed and Im still waiting to hear back from Overhead Door regarding how a piece was delivered to my home that wasnt up to their standards let alone removing my front door before discovering it. I will modify my review and rating accordingly.

They do not have good Customer Service. Had a new door put in September, my husband passed away in November so I have no idea about garage doors. It didnt work one day later in the month in November so I called, they came and said it was locked by someone. Im the only one here and they charged me $138 for service call. After talking to the owner and many people they would only refund $50.

My installer Matt went over and above to make sure I was satisfied with the job, even when unexpected problems occurred. I would recommend to anyone! Sales staff was great too!
