This is a convenient shop, as its close to my house but I find it difficult to go in sometimes. Most of the employees are very cold and are not interested in engaging in conversation, or any pleasantries really. My hot drinks are regularly too hot. I bring my toddler in to get hot chocolate and if I dont specify kids temp the drink is well over the standard 140 degrees for a latte. Id like to enjoy doing business here but I rarely feel welcome and often get sub par quality drinks.

A parents treat. Whenever we go to Toledo to visit the zoo I first stop by Plate 21 to get one of the seasonal lattes. They are a perfect balance of everything I want in a specialty drink!

Cannot go wrong with a matcha, a dirty chai, or a breakfast wrap - all lovingly made to order! enjoy a magazine or book in stock & relax on the couch when your work is done. also good place for aunties to take their littles on auntie dates.

The dishes are delicious, the staff is friendly, and the environment is peaceful. They serve kombucha, alcohol (local beer included), and have longer hours than most in the area!

This is THE best coffee in the area.Also, they have a great selection of teas and pastries.

I adore their cappuccino (better than Starbucks😌), breakfast wrap and its sauce is the most amazing food that I’ve tried in US😋

High end feel with inexpensive price tags. The coffee was perfectly crafted with an artesian flair. Extremely polite and attentive staff. A wonderful hidden gem in the South side!

The best coffee shop in the area ( believe me, I looked long and hard). The garden vegetable wrap and the breakfast wrap are both 10/10 in my book. Definitely recommended.

Plate 21 had some of the best food and coffee Ive had from a coffee shop. With the help of the associates, they suggested the perfect pairing for my tastes. I would definitely suggest the wraps with the Cranberry sauce on the side, oh amazing.

Vegan Blast is a bit of heaven!! My nephew loved the breakfast wrap with sausage and fruit smoothie w/ banana. ❤️Will be back. They have books and some couches in the back of you want to hang around awhile ❤️

Plate 21 is a wonderful local coffee shop with great ambiance. I love their assortment of loose leaf teas, their steel-cut oatmeal (with various toppings!) and their edamame kale salad. They really do have a wonderful selection of food and beverages - and they are all so friendly to boot. Highly recommend.

I dont know if it was covid season related but wasnt much to enjoy while being there. Hoping when things improve that I will have a better experience drinking here. Enjoyed my latte. Very good setting for a quiet place. I love how their shields match the decor. Hopefully next time I can enjoy their food selections.

I was surprised to find this little gem of a coffeeshop nestled in the corner of the Arcade. The vibe inside is downtown hip with eclectic furnishings. And the coffee delivered on expectations. Smooth, rich, and satisfying. I got the mocha and it wasnt overly sweet; the full-body espresso shone through. This would be a fun place to work when downtown.

Came here on their anniversary and the staff was extremely helpful and kind. The pastries and coffee were delicious and I can not wait to visit again! The location is also really cute as well. I would highly recommended giving this place a try! You wont be disappointed :)

Nice atmosphere, staff was very nice. I had two different muffins, cinnamon and butter rum. Both amazing. Also had a smoothie that was delightful. It is a little pricey though.

Clean inside, courteous staff. EXCELLENT latte. The espresso is a little weak for my personal preference, but it was smooth, not too sweet, perfect microfoam. I really enjoyed probably the best grilled cheese sandwich Ive ever had. Worth a stop.

A great coffee stop in Toledo. While Toledo seems to have exploded with craft breweries- it also has some great coffee! We stop by Plate 21 at least once a week. First, I always go for ice coffee, I recommend having it brewed and then poured over ice.

Ive patronized this business alot and theyve become rude due to the virus. I have a medical condition where I cannot where a mask, and have a doctors note verifying, but they refused my business and said I could not be in their business. I will never patronize this establishment again and will not recommend this place to anyone.

In my attempt to determine who has the best Mocha in town I visited plate 21. Absolutely the best Mocha and fantastic service. Kind, knowledgeable staff can answer all your coffee questions - and wont act slanted when you ask very specific questions about their brew, methods etc. You cant go wrong here!

Always love time at Plate 21. Mango smoothie, peppermint mocha (yum!!), And the Shannon Soup are my top 3. However, you cannot go wrong with the grilled cheese or breakfast sandwich. So much to love.

It was pretty good but my friend wanted a refill on his coffee and for some reason couldnt get one. That left a bad taste in my mouth so to speak. Otherwise I liked the decor and music. It had a good atmosphere. I wish it would have been there when I lived in Beverly.

My matcha was heaven in a cup (lightly sweet, warm but not scalding, lushly creamy, with the slightest touch of bitter for complexity.)The barista was quick and courteous and I sensed no disgust from me being in my work clothes like I would with some. (I just got off work from a rather dusty factory).I will definitely be a repeat customer.

Plate 21 is a hidden gem within Toledo. I discovered it today after meeting a friend for coffee. Smooth and quiet jazz plays in the background, filling the large dining area with a calming tempo.The vintage hardwood floors, bright colors, and comfortable seating make this an attractive and welcoming place for people to relax, study, or just have a cup of joe.

I am so lucky to now live close enough to walk here from my house. Love this place. Great lattes and breakfast food, along with healthier options which I love.

I love this place. The staff really try to get to know you and remember you when you return. One time they let me taste the soup before I decided to buy it. They make designs with your coffee/creamer/mocha. They have great seating options, with table, high tops, and comfy chairs near the back. The decor is awesome, I love the paint scheme, its in a great location. The only thing I would change is the parking options, the only place available is street and its really not that much.

Literally every time that I have been here, I have never been acknowledged with a hello, a smile, an asking if I had any questions or even if Im ready to order. There is an arrogance about the baristas. The muffin I had was delicious and I love the atmosphere but the staff is lacking in personality and hospitality skills. I have friends that like to meet here. Unfortunately, Im not looking forward to my next visit.

This is one of the cutest and cleanest shops in Toledo I have ever seen. The customer service is great and the barista had such a good recommendation for a quick after work bite. Try the tiramisu when youre there, it was so delicious! 😋

I went in this place Saturday June 4, 2016, the service was great. The coffee was fine, what upset me the most was the attitude of thre owner Sandy. She came into the shop and walked right by me without saying hello or anything. I asked one of the workers to tell her i said hello and can i speak with her for a minute. Sandy told the worker she was busy she then got her lunch walked by me still without saying a word then she set down to eat her food. I never met Sandy before i was just a customer coming in to try the shop out and find out when her shop was going to open up downtown Toledo. I wont be going back to this coffee shop nor will i go to her shop when it opens up downtown Toledo.
