I recently dropped my guitar off and asked for new guitar strings to be put on. The guitar was ready to be picked up the next day. I was pleasantly surprised to find that they not only put the new strings on but completely cleaned it too. It had been in storage for several years so it had a lot of dust. I am so happy with my experience at this business and would highly recommend their services. The people are very knowledgeable and nice. Also, the price I paid was extremely reasonable.

Mostly appears to be a guitar shop but, due deal with band type of instruments like violins, flutes, clarinets, trumpets and, the like. Just think they need to have those on display as well as their impressive display of guitars.

2nd time Ive rented an instrument. First time was 25 years ago for my son, and now for my grandson. We do rent to own which Universal is amazing about. Their violins grow with them and they get a full sized one when the violin is paid off. They also service the instruments. Nice people, explain everything well, work with you. Only place Ill go.

I recently visited to have my guitar restringed. Was a great experience. Everyone inside the shop is super friendly and very knowledgeable on guitars. Came back the next day and the work with done with excellence. They even adjusted the neck for me. 10/10 def would recommend to a friend.

Friendly staff. But went in looking for drum heads, as they were close and I wasnt feeling like making the drive to another shop that I usually go to. Prices on heads were DOUBLE that of any store in the metro area, big or small. Disappointed as they have been around forever and although I dont mind paying a couple extra bucks to support a local business, I cant justify that.

Great people, great all-around shop. Theyve worked several of my guitars for prices that all but demand I tip them well. We are moving soon and I will be sad to be farther from them but will still drive 30-45 minutes to them over much closer places on their various merits.

We went in for guitar strings for my daughters acoustic guitar and while we were there I decided to have her look at the electric guitars that they had. The sales people are very knowledgeable and very attentive. They have a great selection of instruments.

Around 2 weeks ago(beginning of February 2020), I brought in my brand new guitar into this shop to have a pro setup done. I trusted this company would do good work and was really excited being this is the first setup I have ever done. Unfortunately I had to call in to get my own updates when the guitar would be ready and would be even more disappointed upon picking up my brand new guitar up. I received the guitar back damaged. There was a chip by the tuning pegs and a crack on the back of the body of the guitar. I was very upset and the shop did not offer anything to make the situation better. I had to go through the manufacturer (thank goodness for warranties)to get my guitar replaced and now I’m out $65. I would not recommend. Enter at your own risk.....

I have added to my guitar gear over the last four years. I also buy drum supplies. The newly organized drum shop looks great. Full of mid to high end drum kits plus drum supplies. Nice to have a very good drum shop in the north area. Staff is wonderful and helpful. The guitar gear is top end quality. I love the customer service and hospitality of this place.I went in and was immediately helped. Despite disclosing that I wasnt looking to purchase today, they still helped me and educated me on what is the best bang for the buck.The staff are very knowledgeable and friendly--just the way a place should be when you are gonna spend 1000 dollars. This is compared to Guitar Center, where the staff was very rude to me.I will go back in the future to buy an amplifier and maybe some pedals.

They treat me like family.I would recommend shopping there.Also I have played about half of Stairway to Heaven in their Guitar Room before they give me that look.

This is a great place to go pick up what you need, be it an instrument, accessories, sound stuff, or music. They are competitively priced and the staff is always so helpful and friendly, and honest too. If they dont have it they tell you and reccomend something else but dont pressure you to buy it.

Came here to rent a trumpet for my son. Good service. The people were friendly and seemed to be knowledgeable. We had a problem with the trumpet and when we took it in (a week after we got it) the quickly fixed it. My son had placed the valves in backward.I also have stopped to by reeds for my daughters clarinet. Again, the people were helpful and the prices beat the competition for reeds!!Would return and recommend.

This store has great service and every time but once they have had what I wanted.

I used to take lessons here when I was a child, and now as an adult I stop by occasionally for piano books or gifts. The staff is always so helpful and will always answer your questions, no matter how silly you think they may be.

I had to get my youngster a cello for the summer. I figured with this one so close Id try them. They let her try it a second, and went off while she was testing. She liked it. So I said yes. Sale made. Heres the kicker. I came in and was looking at a guitar for my house, a drum, she needs sheet music (we couldnt find anything other than xmas music and was just pointed in that direcrion) she needs a tuner, and a sheet music stand. I WOULD HAVE BOUGHT HER ANYRHING, if someone had sold it to me! I have 3 other children who play either play or want to play, stand up base, and viola and one wants to play drums. But without help, I rented a cello, bought her some rosin and we will find another place for our music haven.As for the cello.... one of her strings wont stay in tune and is driving her a little crazy!

What a find. Ive gotten back into playing guitar after I was given my first yamaha acoustic guitar when I was 12. My daughter has started violin lessons and i called one of the big box guitar stores in Westminster to see if they could help. One of them recommended Universal Music. What they probably didnt realize is they just sent me to my new favorite music store in Denver and Ill be buying all my strings and other gear from these guys from now on. I was totally blown away when I walked in at the overall breadth of musical instruments they carry. Not only did I get the rosin I needed for my daughter, but I found THE source for all my guitar needs. They have pretty much everything. amps, guitars, bass, ukes, mics and all audio equipment and a HUGE drum shop. Seriously, this place is a hidden gem. Ive told all my musician friends about it. Check them out, they are like 2 minutes off i25 and 104th.

Universal Music Company has been part of my family for two generations. When my brothers wanted to play an instrument and needed music, my parents turned to Universal Music Company at the former Garland Shopping Center in Northglenn, Colorado. Then, many years later,when my son was in third grade, I received a call from his school saying he had picked up a trumpet and began playing it. Of course, they wanted to know if he ever had a lesson. No, he had not. The school wanted my son to begin playing in their school band, they recommended I obtain an instrument and books from Universal Music Company, now located at 1200 E. 104th Ave, Denver. It just so happened, my sons birthday was the next day, so on my way home from work, I stopped by Universal Music Company and found a very helpful staff. I rented a B flat trumpet and bought my sons first books for his birthday. Universal Music Company became part of my family once again, and saw my son through elementary school, jazz bands, middle school, high school and college. When my son became a senior in high school, I purchased a silver trumpet for him (it was his wish) from Universal Music. I have rented several different types of instruments, such as trumpets, saxophones, flutes,clarinets, and a violin. I purchased trumpets, saxophones, accordions, and a violin from them. They are all excellent instruments. Universal Music has a wide selection of music, and necessary supplies for each instrument. The staff and teachers have been professional, helpful and friendly. If ever there was a problem with an instrument (rarely), they repaired it in a timely manner. Over the years, my son has played in the CU band, Denver Tuba Brass Band and the Orchestral Band at the Arvada Arts and Culture Center, as well as a Jazz group.He continues to enjoy playing his silver trumpet and hopes to pass music on to his son. I am so pleased to have been a part of the Universal Music Companys family, receiving their excellent services, it has given me and my son precious memories and a lifetime of music enjoyment. Thank You from the bottom of my heart.
