Skylar was so helpful and knowledgeable. He was light-hearted and he made us laugh. He was such a pleasure to work with and his rapport-building skills were on point. I hope Big 5 knows how much of an asset he is to their company. We were incredibly impressed with his friendly, yet professional demeanor! I’d give him 10 stars if I could.

What great customer service!!! Ive never been in one before, and always drive by this location. Always wondered how they can be in business with these massive big box places. Im glad I went in. Although smaller and not this gigantic selection, its a very drilled down cost effective curated collection. Every one had product knowledge, which is very hard to come by. As a 15 year retail veteran I recognize real service. Its knowing not just where, but what it is, and knowing product knowledge!!! I will be back for sure!!!!

I scored a great deal on two pairs SickAzz KicKs as well as 1Set of Kustom lacesAll for $65 including Tax.All the staff was no pressure easygoing & super friendly while being very helpful indeed.I will definitely come here for shoes again thank you everyone at Big 5 sincerely..

I called and spoke to Derek at the Thornton location to see if some volleyball gear I needed for my kids was available... He was very helpful and kind:). He checked to see if they offered the size kneepads I needed... While he was looking, I found some online that I was interested in and he went above and beyond to not only check on this item, but he also explained to me the difference sizing/uses/options available for these type knee pads. Is he single? Asking for a friend. Jkjk... But for real - very impressive customer service.

Thats the best Big 5 store Ive been to the one on Wadsworth those people just arent customer-friendly the manager over at the one on 120th name is Cody and he went over backwards just to help me shop for what I was looking for five stars all the way

This place rocks!! they are conveniently located near the Thornton Creek shopping center. They sell a wide range of sports gear as well as camping equipment, shoes, athletic wear and firearms. its not as big as the other retail chailins that have moved in the area but they have great items at very good prices. They always have sales on shoes. bargains throughout the store and very friendly and knowledgeable sales associates. Ive never had a bad experience when shopping here.

The staff here is extremely helpful, going above and beyond for their customers. I was in a sticky situation and without hesitation they provided me with a solution. These guys are awesome!

Pretty good spot to buy a pair of boots. But theyre rather small store. They have limited selection. But the representatives I work with were all really nice. And there was a friendly cashier.

I like spending local. This is a well stocked neighborhood store. not a Big Box, but I normally find what I need. Good Selection, competitive prices, and employees say hi when you drop in. Nice.

They carry a wide variety of tennis balls, besides just the usual Penn.Whomever does the purchasing, however, must not be a tennis player as many of the balls on the shelves are for playing tennis at low altitude. In Colorado, low altitude tennis balls behave like super balls, bouncing way too high. The different tennis ball manufacturers make high altitude tennis balls for a reason!!

To the woke employee who made my toddler wear a face mask that she wouldn’t keep up and was too big for her anyway I just wanted to say good job contributing to the micro plastic pollution issue we are now facing. Also the guy employee dodging us by the shoes was a nice touch to our shopping experience.

Always had the necessities of what Im looking for and always a decent selection. Perfect for finding things in a pinch like when youre between games or last minute purchases. Not a huge warehouse store so things are easier to find and service people are really helpful. Never been disappointed so far.

A little hidden gem for getting good deals on shoes. For work or for dress casual. Of course they have plenty of Sporting Goods items that you can purchase for yourself but I mostly come here for the killer shoe deals

Rode my bike here at dusk with a faulty flashlight I purchased a week ago. They sent me out at dark on my bike with no light refusing an exchange for one that works due to not having a receipt. “Hardline store policy” superseded common sense and customer safety. The assistant manager was the man responsible for this decision.

Good place to get equipment

EXCELLENT. One pretty young lady was extremely helpful, as i am a public safety officer and she was very insistent that despite an ammo shortage i could reach out and shed help if need be.

Shelves seemed stocked pretty well. Fishing area was under stocked like most sporting good locations. Staff was friendly and helpful.

Always enjoy coming in here, good selection of most common sports and camping stuff. Not super busy which makes it nice to shop around. Staff is always nice and helpful. Price is always less expensive than your bigger camping/sports stores. Found really nice hiking boots discounted to $50.00

My favorite place to get athletic gear

Big 5 Sporting Goods is a hodgepodge of items with loads of selection. The section I find the most exceptional is the shoe selection. Great selection with constant sales and markdowns. Our cashier, whos name was Brandon, was totally chill and one of the best cashiers I have come across in a long while, being both efficient and putting the customer absolutely first. Though the store is not meticulously cleaned with each item in its exact spot the store is clean and makes for a great shopping experience. I would certainly recommend the store to anyone looking for outdoors supplies, etc

Went into the one on 120th near our apartment building today. What a dump. There was trash all over the store, we went to buy a hand weight set for the wife and all the had was one 10 lbs and a handful of 1lbs.The entire staff was just standing at the front of the building talking instead of maybe picking up the store and making it look presentable.So long story short here we find ourselves going to walmart instead of spending any money in that store.Truly disappointing.

Found what I needed...

A store associate gave me a discount off of an expensive glove that was improperly priced. That was a cool thing to do or I would have paid the full price and wouldve gone out the door with no gloves for the Winter X Games. The price for boots was evenly matched. The snow goggles didnt even fit me. The goggles would tend to fog up so I had to take them off and wipe them off with a piece of cloth. Ill be returning to the snow goggles when I get back.

Was looking for out of season art project materials (pool noodle). They first of all, had them. Secondly, it actually took some effort from the staff to locate this item in their inventory. They went the extra mile to get the sale. Good job big 5!

This place had a double edged sword with its employees. Jason was excellent with my shoe selection and difficulty in picking a pair so I definitely recommend the shoe section part of the store to those looking.However I have a irritating experience with the gal at the counter who just didnt lead to a pleasant experience worthy of 5 stars. She just refused to be helpful on a return despite her co-workers explaining that it was fine.

I am not an athlete, just an old guy trying to stay in shape. I always get my shoes here for past 8 years. I can always find a good pair at a good price. My foot doctor told me to turn shoe over and if i cant bend it, it is a good shoe to support me. After about 8 months I can bend it and it is time for a new shoe. I also can always find helpful things or gifts and the staff although changing, is helpful.

Great prices on shoes! The staff was a little standoffish, and one employee seemed to imply that I might steal a pair of shoes or something, which was very rude. But its a decent store.

Fair pricing. Fun arrangement of 22cal, pellet and air rifles, some pistols. Not much on apparel but for the comparably small store, there is a decent assortment of shooting/fishing and all around sports equiptment. Worth checking out for sure

Prices are not clearly marked on everything. I am not sure I got the best price on the shoes. Original price wasnt even posted. Had a coupon and it was not accepted for everything even thought the price was not marked as clearance.

Wanted to give them a zero . Went in and a girl asked she could help me and I said I am going to the shoes . After looking and waiting for 10 minutes ( maybe shorter seemed longer ) I put the shoe away and walked out . 2 boys were standing by the registers, said nothing to me just standing there . I said as I was walking out guess you don’t want my service . They said nothing . I can’t believe they just stood there . I have no clue where the nice girl that first approached me went . It’s a shame I shop there a lot, guess they don’t need money .

Check the sales ad for all the good prices. Also, this store is smaller than other locations so the selection is limited. Still, you will find good value and fine customer service.

I typically like big 5 but this one is like a miniature version of what the store is supposed to be like. I went to look for camping gear and there was a very small selection.

They have their procedures in place and always have pretty decent prices.

Just walked out of the store because I asked about fitted hats and 3 employees were standing around talking. One pointed and said over there behind the glass. And went back to talking. Went over to the hats and waited, but no one came over. How can I find a hat my size if they are behind glass. Horrible customer service.

Derek was the one working with my mom and me and had terrible customer service. We asked where KT tape was and he pointed in the most lazy way like we were going to find it🙄. Then we tried and couldn’t find it again. Finally we asked can you show us and he didn’t even make an attempt. So my mom said can you actually show us instead of just pointing because if you want a sale usually you do everything you can to make the customer happy. Not the case
