This place has a lot of miscellaneous affordable goods. I get wood pellets here for a good price. I get to take my pup into the store and they give her a treat at the register. They have great dog food and toys. Plus tools. Love exploring this place! 😅

My husband and I have been shopping here for all of our feed for our chicken and ducks feed and bedding...but their loyalty program they unroll you in makes no sense, it’s only for dog and cat food (I even bought my firearm here!) and earned no points. Besides the loyalty program most of the employees are usually wonderful except for the female manager, she is rude, has a rude demeanor, and is not friendly at all. Great prices, rude manager and loyalty program sucks.

Bought a saw asked about return they said we could they also said they tested it in the back I even have video of me attempting to to make it work. It didnt work came back same day they said to bad cant return

Erika, the manager was extremely rude to us. She decided to walk away and ignore us after being asked a question. Never have had a bad experience here before but with someone like that in management it’s hard to come back and shop here again.

Ordered an item online that said it was in stock. Received email that my order was ready, and headed to the store. When I walked into the store we were greeted, and asked how they could help me. I told them I was there to pick up my order. The store manager instantly became argumentative and told us she has no idea why the website said my item was instock but that they have not had the item for months. I then inquired for a different item, and the store manager then refused to sell me anything. I have never been treated so poorly, and have been a retail manager before. I will never go to this store again, and will do 100% of my shopping at other local farm supply stores.

I didnt know this store existed but its very nice. They have Taste of the Wild dog/puppy food. I would only yet this food at petco.

This is by far the best ranch supply store I have ever been to! Not only do they have pretty much everything Ive ever needed for my ranch but also the staff is extremely helpful and friendly. Id like to point out that they know that happy medium between helpful and pestering that a lot of other stores have a hard time understanding. Id definitely like to point out their store is always well organized and clean, especially the pets and feed section. Overall Id highly recommend this store over all the other ranch supply stores in the area and would like the staff to all know that they are greatly appreciated.

(First visit) I was in the market for a nice chainsaw and Big R was one of a few dealers who sell Stihl products. I looked on Big Rs website and observed they had 3 Stihl MS 391 25 Chainsaws which were store pickup only. I headed to the store and went back to their Stihl chainsaw area, but did not find the model I wanted displayed. We saw a woman and asked for help. She went in the back to find out where they were as she confirmed the store should have 3 in stock. She came back out to say they didnt have the 3 in stock. I asked why they showed three in inventory if they didnt have them. The woman then explained she had them but no way to sell them as there was an issue with Stihl and the skews with the 25 blades. I stated that the body and the blade are two separate items and asked if she could sell me the unit with a 20 blade. She became very irritated and started treating me unprofessionally. She reluctantly went in the back again, came back and forcefully dropped the blade and chain on the desk and left again to the back. She then returned again stating that she was wrong and could sell me the 25 unit. She passed me on to another Associate to complete the purchase. This woman I later found was the manager of the store.(Second visit) A few days later I took the chainsaw to our property to cut down tree limbs and bushes but was unable to get the chainsaw started. I read the manual thoroughly and did the startup process step by step and still couldnt get the chainsaw started. I took the chainsaw back to Big R today to see if they could get the unit to start and they also could not get the unit to start. I asked if they could exchange the unit for one that was not defective and was told I would have to go through Stihl to have warranty repair the issue. I explained that I havent even been able to use the chainsaw once and asked why I would have to go through warranty if I was sold a defective unit. I was told it was Big Rs policy. I requested to talk to the manager. I was told that he manager wasnt in until 10am so I would have to come back at that time. I came back to the store at 10am and yes I had to speak to the same lady/manager who treated me poorly last time. She tried to explain again that I would have to go through warranty. I explained my position of being sold a defective unit and once again she started treating me unprofessionally making me feel like I was the problem. She called her manager who approved a refund. I asked if I could just get a new unit that worked and she immediately stated no. As she was processing the refund I quickly looked on their website which stated they had more in stock. So the manager was lying to me. I asked why she was treating me poorly and she stated that shes just trying to get me a refund. That was not a good answer so I asked for her managers number which she willingly gave me Calebs phone number. I called Caleb upon leaving the store so I could give my experience of both trips, but got his voicemail. I have yet to hear back from him.Bir R has poor customer service and policies that product them and not the customers. I will not shop with Big R.

This is the MOST HORRIBLE place in all of Thornton to work. They have ABSOLUTELY No concern for their employees. Making them work through this blizzard with no concern for them to try and drive in these conditions. I have begged my husband to please quit working here when management allows non masked customers in due to the almighty dollar. Again no concern for the health and welfare of their employees. SHAME ON THIS COMPANY

The Big R company, should seek to hire more people like Mr. Al or his name in Spanish Alvaro, I called today 5 stores of this company in Colorado and he was the only one who helped me solve my problem, he was very attentive and I try to do everything possible to be able to guarantee the purchase, people like him make companies great.Again Al, thank you very much

Very disappointed! We had thrown away our ad and could not remember if the Real Tree dog beds were still on sale. I called the store the gal confirmed they were on sale for $22.49 until November 30th. When we arrived at the store the beds were STILL marked as on sale but they would not honor the price. The response we received from management and girl at register was pretty much “oops🤷‍♀️Sorry it happens.” It’s very unfortunate because we do a ton of shopping at Big R but will not be returning. Stores need to honor prices as marked. It is not the customers issue that the sign was not taken down.

I just had an amazing experience at Big R. Marjorie P. Not only answered all the questions I had but walked me through the whole process from start to finish. 10/10 would recommend and ill definitely be back

It seems the employees are more interested in their conversations then helping customers. I looked around for an employee to help me and finally found three ladies in the front chatting. They looked shocked when I interrupted their conversation to ask for help and then they told me to go look around again because there should be someone else in the department. I walked out empty-handed, will never return!

I just shopped Big R for the first time today. The staff was excellent. I didnt catch his name, but the Australian manager was extremely helpful. I was looking for tools for my husband that I had no idea what they were, but he was able to figure them out. The assistant manager Stephen went up and beyond to help me, I needed information on a certain product and he took the time to research it and give me accurate feedback on it. I felt so welcome in the store, Jeff the cashier greeted me like a person, not a robot. He was genuine and I felt like my business was actually appreciated. I needed help to my car and they had the Asst. Manager Stephen help me. I felt extremely appreciated in the store. They have a great variety of womens clothing for all of us labourers who work in the cold. I highly recommend that you check them out. The customer service is second to none

The employees here are very helpful. I shopped the whole store and was helped in every department and was help by multiple employees. Stephen the Assistant Manager was extremely helpful in sporting goods. I am getting ready for a hunting trip he is very knowledgeable in firearms and he helped me find everything I needed and gave me a few suggestions. I went to their pet department and Big Al was very nice helped me find a new food for my dog that has special needs. Jeff the hardware guy was very proactive in helping me find a heater for me. Regan the manager was very polite and gave me lots of information on generators. Lauren the cashier is very cheerful, she is very kind greeted me with a smile when I walked in the door and was very kind and and I checked out. Stephen and Regan both thanked me for coming in as I left. I will definitely be back and tell everyone about Big R.

Purchased a gun through palmetto that was shipped to big r went for my background on Tuesday around 4pm was told they are about 21hrs out called the next day around 5 and was told it was not ready and they would contact me when it was. Waited till 7:06 and called back and was told yes it came back but they were to busy to give me a call I asked if I could head in and finish up the transfer was told no see you tomorrow at 7:06 and they dont not close until 8pm I am super annoyed and they will be getting a hear full tomorrow ship to cabelas or anywhere else very poor customer service

They have everything you need, but when it comes to customer service they are lacking. My husband and I were treated really rude by a cashier; called in to speak with a manager who sounded like she was 12, and was basically told that I didn’t have to shop there mmmmmmm k..... she was absolutely right.....Signed, I don’t shop there anymore....

Came in for some hardware and some other small items. Walked and every single employee at the front of the store he masks on but sadly only around their necks including Steve the manager who actively was helping customers. It’s sad to see a business such as this that brings good jobs to Thornton completely ignore government recommendations and fail to do their part to stop the spread of COVID-19.

Great store, they have pretty much everything you could ever need to take care of land and livestock. Everyone is always nice and will help you find anything. Its also just a cool store to go walk around in and see all the interesting products they have.

Wow wow WOW!I walked in and I had 4 employees great me!I walked thru the store and every employee made sure I found what I was looking for or rather asked! Every employee!I am so impressed with the cleanliness and polite employees and I found what I needed and more! Strolled by the cat food and they carry the brand we use for our cats and at a cheaper price than the other big name pet stores!I will return and also recommend this store to everyone I meet!Thank you for a very pleasant experience and thank you to all the employees that greeted me at the door and throughout the store!

Came to look at firearms. Was greeted and helped right away. I got alot of help and had all my questions answered clearly. Marge, Gary, and Andi were very helpful. Cant thank them enough.

Horrible experience. Called in advance to check if the item is available for purchase. Provided an SKU number and was told that they have two boxes in stock. Got there in 15 minutes to find out they havent had any. The store assistant manager provided me some poor excuses and was blaming everything on coronavirus. I dont see how the pandemic is responsible for the employees and management incompetence, laziness, absence of accountability and responsibility. The way you do little things is the way you do big things. I would highly encourage people to avoid shopping at this place.

Bait and switch. We drove 20 miles to pick up a 40 x 60 heavy duty tarp shown as in stock on their website. Once in store, we find the tarp is actually economy weight. They dont even have the same tarp that is shown on their website. An employee told us, with his mask pulled down, that their website is always wrong.

I want to give a shout out to the crew at the Thornton store on 120th.After ordering the items I needed online, they brought the items out to the curb and loaded them into my car so I could avoid going into the store during the pandemic as I am high risk. This store is great, very nice store. We had just spent the day looking at every Home Depot and Lowes to try and find pipe for our sprinkling system. The people here were a very nice and knowledgeable, they knew exactly what we needed and helped us get it all. Prices were great, we will go back again. It was so nice to have service like that, they came and asked us what can we help you with. At the other place you sometimes feel like they see you coming and they RUN AWAY. Thank you Big R

Wish I could give negative stars, I visited this location on Thursday inquiring about three guns. The VR 80 from rock island, a savage axis chambered in 6.5 creedmoor and a 9mm Walther pps. Had a good experience with the gentleman there who was bald I did not catch his name but there was a older lady who was extremely rude. We left and than came back today only two days later and the same older lady was at the counter and she was so rude that my wife and I couldn’t even stand to do business with big r. She tried to correct my pronunciation of Walther ( which is not pronounced with the h being a German brand name) and said the name has an L. She was so uneducated and ignorant I don’t believe she should be behind the gun counter. She had absolutely no knowledge of guns was very sassy the entire time and completely turned us off to purchasing the guns. I came in with 2 thousand dollars cash to purchase all three guns today and now big r has lost our business. I will be emailing corporate and filing a formal complaint. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE WOULD NOT RECOMMEND TO ANYONE. BUYER BEWARE

This place has great service. My dog didnt like a certain flavor of food, they let me exchange an open bag for a brand new bag! Also, they have great prices on spices (conveniently located next to a respectable selection of ammunition). And great clearance prices on fancy jeans. I simply cant say enough good things about this place.

Great staff. Fast and friendly. I went in for ammo and they had plenty of what I needed. There prices are very good and comparable.

They always have gloves in my size for a great price. Associates at this location were friendly and helpful. The store was clean and well stocked.

Great store, great products and items

Great ranch store with plenty to offer from animal feed, tools, appeal, footwear even guns and ammo.Opening day was very nice, staff was great and very friendly. Prices appear to be a little on the high side but if you are in a bind theyre worth checking out.

I have shopped at this store several times for a variety of products from clothing (they carry many Carhartt items including coats), to electrical supplies and welding accessories. The staff that I have interacted with have all been friendly and helpful. Prices can be a tad high, but they are conveniently located and carry some items that you can’t get at smaller hardware stores. They also allow dogs in the story, which my husky greatly appreciates.

I purchase my dog food here versus the other two well known “P” chains. The staff is always welcoming when you walk in and makes sure you find what you’re looking for.

This is absolutely the best Big R location in my opinion. I live nearest to the Pueblo stores, yet I prefer this store. Regen, the store manager is very helpful and knowledgeable. He gos out of his way, I never feel rushed when dealing with him.

Super friendly and knowledgeable staff. The guy helping me at the gun department was very helpful! I wish I could remember the guys name to give credit where credit is due!

I was in the store today and I was followed around the by the manager Tom, who kept staring/following me. This was complete racial profiling as I was only trying to purchase a Gerber camping set. I was then stopped by the other manager Andy and was requested to follow her into the back. I left immediately. Never coming again.

Great service ! Knowledgeable salesman Jeff. I needed a new chainsaw after the windstorm took out 3 40 pine trees. He was able to help with all questions and provided information on new saw as I had not owned this brand before. Even though there price was $20 higher, they matched the national brand sale price.

Lots of horse stuff and good quality clothes! They mostly have ranch and western horse stuff so if you are an english rider you wont find tack and clothes here. They do have a large selection of healthy chicks of all sorts of breeds!

LIVID. Walked into the store and was told I could not bring my sons diaper bag into the store. This is not okay. I am not a teenager little kid who is going to steal. There are items in that bag that my son needs. What if he threw up and needed a baby wipe? Needed a new diaper? Needed a change of clothes? This store is not family friendly.

Nice store and friendly people except the gentleman who delivered a bale of hay to my car. Every other time, the attendant placed it in the car for me except this time when he just pushed it to the end of the cart with the expectation for me to do it. Dont mind it but he didnt seem very happy with his job.

Here it is january i have not recieved 1 call from the manager. I have gone into the store 3 times, and ledt my number 3 times with different people! Its frusturating.
