I went for the first time today and went into the inferred sauna and have a 90min hot stone massage and I LOVED it! They were super friendly and the service was amazing. Everything was clean and I will definitely be back for more services!

My mother and I booked facials as well as massages. This was my first experience and her second at the spa. I absolutely loved my facial and was probably one of the best Ive had.As for the hour long swedish massage, sadly it was a miss. Christine was very sweet and asked what kind of pressure I liked as well as if I had any problem areas. I thought it was a great start as she was trying to grasp my wants and needs as a client.However, getting into the massage, I could not relax for a few reasons. First they were doing laundry while I was there and it was fairly loud in the room I was in. Im sure it was a necessity but it distracted from the beautiful, peaceful environment that was promoted.Second I consistently had to ask her to be more firm. She would for a few moments then back off. Sadly she was so light at times, it felt like someone was simply moisturizing my skin.I think part of the issue was that she was using too much oil and could not massage my body properly. She also did not have the best technique that I have experienced. The best way to describe it is that she pinched my skin as opposed to working the muscle tissue.I know she could tell I was not entirely pleased. Her only response was that I should have booked a deep tissue massage and then she could have been more firm. Honestly I did not appreciate that response as one can be firm with both styles and felt extremely uncomfortable at that point.The reason I decided to write this post wasnt because of the bad experience. It happens and I wouldnt judge a whole place off of one experience. I probably would have just tried the masseuse my mother used. However Christines almost dismissive attitude reemerged when she emailed us. I expressed my concern about the massage and again she stated I should have booked a deep tissue. I feel as almost I was being told I didnt pay enough for a quality massage.

It is a nice facility, but my manicure started to chip after 2 days. It wasnt the gel, but still I was disappointed. I feel it should have lasted longer than that. A nice experience otherwise. Friendly staff and very clean! Ill go with the gel next time. 😉

Ive been getting massages by Christine for a few years now. She is the absolute best! She offers a variety of massage and stays on top of trends and techniques. She is amazing! The sauna they have available is amazing as well!

The staff is very friendly and attentive! They have a great selection of treatments from messages to skin care. I always feel very welcomed and that it was worth my time.

On Thanksgiving my 12 year old niece walked in the door with maroon lipstick not just covering her lips but bleeding across her face like The Joker from Batman. She likes the goth aesthetic and wants to go heavy dark lipstick and eye makeup. Today I called and made a makeup consultation appointment for her. I explained she needed a simple instruction so she only looks like a clown if that is indeed the look she is going for. The consultant, Jeremy Logsdon, was really accommodating and kind. He explained to her the importance of washing her face and why she shouldnt sleep in eye makeup. He showed her how to apply a little dark eye makeup and complimented her on her long lashes and lips (which I think really boosted her self esteem) and I think he might have converted her a little to a smarter application of makeup. I was worried about a pushy sale but he was more educator than salesperson. He gave us a sheet with the items he used and their prices and, though they are higher than my drug store brands, they werent outlandish. We bought a lip polish and I would consider buying more makeup or taking other people in for consultations. Thank you for your help.

I have been having a massage with Christine every month for over a year now. I have experienced every type of massage that is offered. My most favorite is the Bamboo massage. I have experienced different massages from other masseuses in this area. Christine is by far the best I have experienced !! She has always taken care of every ache and pain I may have complained about ( especially my right shoulder !!) Christine is worth your time and she will definitely leave you relaxed !! Absolutely LOVE Merle Norman Day Spa! I really enjoy the specialty pedicures like the pumpkin and chocolate. Wonderful staff. Beautiful atmosphere! Recommend to everyone!

I honestly have to say that this was one of the worst pedicures that Ive had. When the front staff asked how my pedicure was as I was leaving and I expressed my concerns by stating that I was disappointed that the nail technician hardly worked on my calluses at all, did not remove my dead skin and cuticles around the nails, and that she didnt even paint my toenails correctly. I was rather upset that she got dark purple nail polish on my new NIKE flipflops and had polish all over my skin but also managed to miss parts of my toe nails that actually needed that polish. The front desk asked me if I would like her to work on my feet some more in which I politely told him No Thank You, due to her obviously not knowing what she was doing. He then immediately asked for my payment. There was no apology involved. They apparently just wanted the money and then for me to leave. And I almost forgot this part....She didnt even bother to file my toenails down or get underneath where I have 2 potential in grown toe nails. This is my very first time leaving a review on Google so hopefully this should tell you what a terrible experience that I just had. If you are in need of a pedicure you would be better off giving yourself one than having Merle Norman do it.

I arranged a spa day for 2 friends who were celebrating their birthdays on the same day. The staff at Merle Norman went above and beyond to insure they had a great day. The day included a massage, facial, sauna, mani, pedi & a makeover. They could not have been happier with all the services provided. Their favorites were the massage & the facial. The staff at Merle Norman truly helped make this a special day. Thank You to all the staff at Merle Norman Day Spa for providing incredible service and taking such good care of my friends.

I had an awful experience with someone who called themselves a Licensed Esthetician and Makeup Artist.I have a skin condition (rosacea) and told Emily Richards that I was prescribed Rozex. I went in to Merle Norman looking for a foundation and powder that would give me tone balancing and coverage, but Emily was intent criticizing the advice of my dermatologist and tried several times to sell an entire cleansing and makeup line to me.It was obvious that Emily was not going to help me and only wanted to argue that she, a Licensed Esthetician, was obviously smarter than my Doctor with an actual medical degree. So, I left. And I am not coming back.
