The selection here is fantastic! They have tons of options for decks, shoes, wheels, etc. The staff is also very helpful and friendly. After helping me find my next pair of shoes, one of the guys there just chatted with me for a bit about some new skate videos he was excited about. Really awesome shop, Id highly recommend anyone check it out!

First time visiting the shop since moving to the area from the SF Bay Area. Staff was super nice, informative, had their knowledge of not just the skate goods, but also about the culture. The walls are literally riddled with boards all the way onto the floors. And I love the blend of classic and modern memorabilia throughout the shop.

Excellent shopping experience - although I decided to stick with paddleboarding. :-) Falling onto water instead of asphalt and all that [not a genertional thing, but an age thing ha-ha). Very cool stickers too!

The guys working here are so friendly and knowledgeable. This shop is very far from our house but we make the drive for the selection of boards. They put my sons new board together for no charge and grandma loves shopping from the website so my son gets exactaly what he wants for Christmas. Prefer this skate shop to zoomies.

Took my kiddo to pick out a deck for her birthday. Great selection but the employee said they could place a deck on hold for us till the 28th. Took my name and number placed a note on it.. Went in there to pick up the board earlier than noted and some grip tape and a gift cert so she could pick out trucks and wheels ... They sold the deck.. No call to notice and was told in store they only hold decks for 24 hours.. Kids super bummed. Poor customer service experience but again big selection.

We Went In to get my daughter her first board on her birthday. We dealt with a young man named zack. He treated my daughter with the upmost respect. He called her by name and asked alot of good questions and was very knowledgeable when answering any that we had. In the end she got a deck that fit her needs and we got some amazing service in the process. I highly recommend this shop. Skate on!!

These guys are awesome. Went in today with myself and my 6yo daughter and they helped us get set up with complete decks.Didnt upsell me or push any brands, i didnt feel judged at all, and the guys were super friendly and awesome. Ill definitely go back. It was absolutely worth the drive across town for.

The staff had great recommendations on cruiser wheels and they were super helpful with re-threading a stripped truck axle. Well stocked and very welcoming. Cowtown has been my go-to skate shop since 2000 and I definitely dont see that changing.

I came in today with very little knowledge on how to build a skateboard . They took care of me very well. They took their time explaining the difference between things and even put my brand new board setup together! Awesome customer service and I’m so stoked on my new setup .

Their blank decks are low quality and break in one night. And they really overcharged me for bones bushings, thought you guys were hooking me up. Guess not.

The Cowtown staff in Tempe are amazing. Wasnt aware they were only doing curbside pickup and showed up to buy my grandson a board. I placed the order outside and he was able to get his board the same day.

The employees are always super nice and helpful. Always leave feeling mad appreciated, love these guys.

The grip had air bubbles. If you want proper grip. Do it yourself.. oh and they will profile you if you buy items with sandles.

I went in knowing a bare minimum about skateboarding. The staff was super friendly and helped me pick out exactly what I needed for a skateboard that would do what I wanted. They even put it together for me! Great place to go for every experience level.Im not going to deduct a star for this, but beware its not cheap because its not cheap product.

Came in with a friend today, absolutely clueless on what I was going to get. The guys who were working, were extremely helpful and friendly. They told us they could make a cruiser with the skateboard decks so if we saw a design we liked, they would help us out. So overall, I got a pretty sick board now. The price for it was cheaper than what I expected and better quality than going to zumiez, overall a good time and will cone again

I was happy to find my skateboard grip at this shop for a fairly decent price. I was greeted upon entry, as the guy was cutting my grip I clearly asked him “how much will it be”? He kept on going as if I hadn’t said anything so I asked again in a louder tone then he answered. When I was paying he started having a conversation with the 2 guys idling by the counter about what they were watching on tv and hardly even looked at me. I could feel a weird vive from the other guys and the guy behind the counter, so who works here and who is just standing around ? Places like this could provide a great experience if they would train their employees on customer service and make sure everyone who walks through that door feels appreciated for their business and not like their being a nuisance for wanting to buy something here.

I cannot express how extremely happy and satisfied I am leaving the Tempe Cowtown with my kids. Jhett helped us out today and I have to say, Jhett, thank you. Thank you for being you and helping my son get the board he wanted. Sometimes all it takes to make someones day go from okay to the best day EVER is treating them like they matter.My son is autistic. Most of the time he is misunderstood, treated like he doesnt belong or just ignored by sales associates all the time. It happens more often than I would like to admit. You took the time to help him customize a new board he wasnt expecting today and helped make his Birthday even better by just listening. Jhett, my son left your store feeling like he was on top of the world, like he could do anything... then he tried.... and failed. He always gets back up though.I wanted you to know, its always harder for him to get back up after being treated like he doesnt exist, like he doesnt belong or made to feel like he cant do something. So something as simple as being yourself and helping another customer put together a skateboard could actually be the greatest gift you could give.

Best shop hands down! The crew is super friendly and usually down to chat if theyre not busy. Staff will help you with anything in store. They have a solid deck,shoe and apparel selection. All of it is relevant too. Many shops will cool guy you or just have lames who are just kooks behind the counter. Cowtown is not that..cool people, cool vibes and stellar service! Kind, knowledgeable, supportive & professional would be my short description of This location. Im a single father on a very limited budget trying to support my 11 yr old sons skateboarding hobby. He is learning to skate & Cowtown has made my experience superb. Even when I come in with questions and make no purchase they share a wealth of knowledge without making me feel guilty that i didnt spend any money, and when i do buy they make every purchase worth every penny. As long as they continue to conduct business in this way my son and I will be a long-term client as well as everyone I know that skates.

The customer service is so amazing here.. really amazing. So impressed with the staff here. My six year old skates, and we our on our 4th board built and bought at Cowtown. The guys talk to him and teach him things every time we have been there.We will continue to shop here SUPER IMPRESSED.

Just went in thinking that I needed new trucks, but Rashad showed me that all I needed was some proper maintenance and he even showed me how to do it! He hung around and gave valuable pointers while I cleaned my axle/bearings (without being condescending). Could have easily sold me a $50-$100 pair of trucks, but opted to be a decent human being instead. Instead of just selling me a fish at a steep markup, Rashad taught me to fish. In doing so, he has earned a loyal customer! Great shop!! When I do eventually do need new trucks/bearings, I will certainly be going back.

Nice spot. Nice vibe. Seems like they offer everything you need as far as safety gear and clothing. Tino was a nice guy. Humble dude. My son chose his board quickly. I took a while. I had my gaze set on two boards. I asked Tino to make the choice for me. He refused. I felt like Avatar Jake choosing his Ikran! All and all I had a good experience.
