Nice place, lots of Hi-Tech products, Didnt have what I needed but helped me find out on where to find it.
Great shop and service, had just what I needed for my camp stove. Good price too. Will go back.
Excellent customer service, and they have some awesome products. Definetlyove supporting this small business!
Excellent customer service, very informative and so helpful.
They were very helpful & informative.
Friendly and helpful!
I had been looking for kayak parts and found Nomad Ventures in Temecula. This little store had the parts I needed at a good price but also had several kayaks and all types of accessories. They also had climbing gear, ropes, shoes, maps, lightweight camping equipment tents and hammocks. Good quality with a decent range of prices. Service was great with well informed friendly staff helping both novices and experienced get what they need to safely enjoy the outdoors.
Top Notch, First Class, customer service will keep me coming back for sure. Thank you guys so much for making sure my daughter had the most comfy rock climbing shoe. After she tried on 10 or so pairs (1hr) they had a couple pairs sent the next day from another store and they fit perfect. Cant get that kind of service online. Thanks
--- NON-WHITE PEOPLE BEWARE --- Employees profile based on race:I am half-white, half-Mexican, but my appearance is more brown than white.Last week, I walked in the store after with my brother after purchasing some guitar strings at Petes Music. We were greeted by a YOUNG WHITE WOMAN who was behind the counter toward the back half of the store. She asked if we needed help and I politely declined, telling her nicely that I was just browsing the climbing equipment. As I was telling her that, she came from behind the counter, positioned herself 10 feet directly behind me, took a wide stance, AND SAID NOTHING. It was awkward but I continued to browse in my same spot. I turned around 30 SECONDS LATER AND SHE WAS STILL IN THE EXACT SAME SPOT, STARING AT ME WITH A WIDE STANCE.My brother and I became very uncomfortable, so we moved spots, but the employee continued to follow us around the store until another customer beckoned for help.I really did not want to think about race, but upon seeing everyone else who was in the store, as well as those who entered the store, it was obvious that this treatment was only being given to me and my brother, the only non-white people in the store.Overall, an extremely awkward, tense, and disappointing experience. I hope that upper management will address this in the near future. Until then, my friends and I will be staying away from Nomad.
Place is the best, great gear prices the same as REI
They gave us a referral
Awesome service as always. All your climbing and hiking needs in one place.
Small but exceptionally well stocked and curated store. Better brands and products even than REI, but right here in Temecula. The staff are extremely nice and very knowledgeable and experienced. I’ve had some great conversations with them!
Update 7/21/21 -- still the most helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable staff anywhere within 100+ miles. While prices are definitely not the lowest possible, you get what you pay for. I highly recommend getting your outdoor gear here.Best place around for serious backpackers, climbers and outdoor enthusiast. Smaller than an REI, but also more knowledgeable. If they dont have it here, they can probably get it for you!! Just ask.
Great customer service! Chris helped me out and helped me pick out my first set of shoes. He walked me through every part of the process and was super friendly. Ill definitely come back for my future purchases!
This place is amazing. Has alot of gear for camping, climbing, hiking, and kayaking. Has top end clothing and gear for moderate price. If they dont have it at this store, they probably have it at one of the other stores and will bring it over for you to see with no obligation to buy it. The people working there are pretty awesome.
Kevin was very helpful in helping me find new gear at a great price. Me, a novice that knows nothing about climbing? I have just a will and a little might left in my life. Thats considering am pushing the big 50.The store is a Disneyland of gear and Contraptions from hanging to floating for all your vertical and horizontal activities and in between. The location is perfect in between Corona and San Diego just right in the middle, The Sweet Spot.I highly recommend and suggest when purchasing gear for climbing and kayaking put this store on a must list to visit? On a Saturday or Sunday at the Temecula Beer and Wine Garden or after a day at the Farmers Market. Just located on the south end of downtown. Check it out and hang out Kevin will be sure to give you his advice and knowledge which I found to be very helpful.
Smaller shop than it used to be, but always a pleasure to shop there. They have a good selection despite their smaller size.
Very helpful and knowledgeable staff. Although, the gear is quite expensive, its definitely worth the buy, because they sell backpacking gear thats designed well. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for some quality backpacking gear.
My favorite shop to go to when I need to buy gear/supplies before heading into the backcountry. The lady behind the counter was very friendly and helped me find what I needed.
Great staff, very friendly and knowledgeable. We need to support small businesses like these, there are not many of them left. There is value in holding the product and trying it on!
Best outdoor gear shop around. Highest quality equipment, great customer service.
Sally was very courteous and worked with us very hard on what we needed. Great place. We are used to going to the store in Idyllwild but the Temecula store is great too
Sales clerks are informational and very helpful. Very nice store.
Got the Gators I needed for my sandy run coming up. Very helpful!
Awesome place with a ton of gear and really friendly staff!
Full of useful needed things for the outdoors!
Awesome store! they took the time to answer all of my questions, gave me honest feedback about what i was going to purchase.
The best climbing store within 50 miles. Any other sports store has little to none in climbing gear. This place has tons of options for any type of climbing gear. The staff is knowledgeable and helpful, too, if you need help or have questions.
Didnt have what we were looking for but very helpful and sent us in the right direction. Small but well equipped shop with staff that seem to know there stuff.
Great gear at great prices. Friendly staff.
Great store with quality products and expert staff
Super friendly and knowledgeable staff...we will be back!
With the collapse of Sport Chalet at Sports Authority, this will be my new go to place for sporting equipment. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly too.
This Nomad Ventures location is a little tricky to find, but worth it. They have a much smaller selection of clothing than Escondido and Joshua Tree and a slightly smaller selection of everything else due to floor space. For outdoor equipment this is the place to be. Hiking, kayaking, camping, climbing. I didnt see mountain biking gear, but honestly that stuff wouldnt fit and I can understand why they dont carry it. They only carry quality products, but dont have the return policy like REI. Their staff is a little more honest in that they probably dont just shop at their store, but being a fan of the outdoors doesnt limit yourself to where you shop at. I bought some vibram 5 fingers and injinji socks for retail. Neither of those items are much lower on sale anywhere and they had the color/size combo I was looking for that most everywhere was out, even online.
Like a mini REI!
Not a huge selection but a helpful staff led to the right purchase!
Felt profiled upon entry to the store
