Frankly, most reviews here are outdated. It seems like the new owners had big shoes to fill, and you know what? They DID. Here’s my review:This was my first time in the area. I went to the Starbucks next door to study. The door of Citrus and Moss was wide open, and I couldn’t help but feel an inviting and warm energy pulling me in. Hmm hard to describe. It felt like home away from home, and I had to walk in.Mind you, I’m a 27 year-old dude who has no business in being in a cute, rustic boutique shop thingy, but I guess my wife’s interests have rubbed off on me over the years. I gravitated towards the awesome smelling candles all the way in the back. I don’t know if these candles are poured in-house (homemade) or if they’re sourced from elsewhere, but they’re not your average scented candles. You know what I’m talking about….those HomeGoods candles that you thought were top-notch?Nope, these are different. I had a hard time picking one I liked, so I bought two! Fast forward to when I picked up my wife from her hospital shift: she immediately took notice of the “sweet and yummy” aroma in the car. The lids were closed, and jars were tightly wrapped in paper. Yet, they unleashed a very subtle yet potent aroma that just makes you feel….happy.You pay roughly twice as much as you would at a brick and mortar store, but this family-run shop knows how to differentiate itself with amazingly good products and extra friendly service. I would much rather spend my money here than elsewhere. We’ll burn through these candles quick, and I promise we’ll be back!
Very cute store with interesting merchandise assortment from candles, vintage soups and home accessories to clothing and jewelry. You are definitely not leaving without buying something unique. Staff is great, very helpful and not pushy. Will Definitely visit again when in Temecula.
The farmers wife is a uniquely styled retail store, decorated with memorabilia from the last century and new merchandise that fits that style. For 15 years, this store has kept true to its Western desert heritage. Youll find a farmhouse sink, wash pans, kitchen utensils and blankets, sweaters, and desert clothing.Street parking. No bathrooms. The nearest bathroom is at Starbucks, down the block.
I just discovered this store and absolutely LOVE it!!!! It is similar to the old Crows Hollow. They have really fun, stylishly, upscale rustic things, as well as perfume, candles, books, clothes and jewelry...all very unique. They carry a large stock of Brighton Jewelry. Their gift wrap is absolutely darling!!! This is a really great store!!! :) Its easy to get to because its at the far end of Old Town, close to Rancho CA Road. Parking can be tricky.
My mom spotted this store when we stopped in Temecula on our way somewhere.. and from the moment we stepped in, she was in love. Her love for the store has gotten me hooked. I too love The Farmers Wife! We visited today and they have a whole slew of new items designed by Katie Daisy, one of my most FAVORITE artists! No matter what you buy here, or receive from here, you are sure to love and treasure it for years to come. The gifts and items sold here are curated with love and care.
Guys, come in here to get that one-off gift for your wife or loved one. The gifts are unique and hard to find. If you missed your anniversary or Valentines Day, come here to make up for it!!
