I got a pug from here and he is loveable, energetic and healthy. The only thing I have to complain about is that I called the shop multiple times trying to get a copy of his pedigree and no one answered. Pretty disappointing since we spent so much money on him. Our uhual was stolen when we moved back down to socal and now I need another copy but they dont seem to care about the families they serve after theyve bought there pup.
We got a puppy here. It had kennel cough, pneumonia, parasites, worms, emotional issues like biting itself and other people and dogs,, eating its own poo nonstop, eating chunks of grass nonstop, etc.... The papers showed the pet store got it from a rescue in Missouri which when Googled is actually a pet mill. We paid thousands for our puppy from this pet store and then because of all the issues we had to pay thousands and thousands more for vet costs. Do not get your animal from this store. Trust me. Stay far away.
This place is great! It was my first visit, and I came away impressed. A very nice selection of pooches and other animals to choose from and lots of supplies. For the size of store, its packed, but in a good way. Not over cluttered, but lots of selection. Plenty of space for customers to view and play with their potential pet. The store itself is somewhat hidden off the beaten path; youll have to drive into the little plaza to find it. Plenty of parking in front and nearby the other storefronts. Ooh! Youre gonna love the big beautiful parrot who greets you coming and going. He was awesome, loud, but awesome! 😄 Id definitely recommend coming here if your in search for your families next pet.
Our dogs are so beautiful and this is the best place in the area! Today it was full and they had about four people in the front working along with what I assume was the manager. The first dog I saw was the black french bulldog adorable AF but I knew my husband hates that breed. Immediately beneath her was the Australian cattledog (one that Ive seen online). I asked for her and they gave us the Australian shepord easy mixup. Luckily for us; my husband instantly fell in love with him. However, I already knew what I wanted... named her and everything (Australian cattledog). We couldnt choose between the two so we bought both. There services here are greate and they go through every step with you. Also, the prices are what you will see in the surrounding areas since there are only a few pet shops that sell or adopt puppies (I only found three). Also, I suggest saveing at least $1,000 before going with your family and getting attached to something you cannot buy.The websites will not give you prices, I can only guess its because the three places in the area will compete with each other (none of them show prices). If not that then I dont know.
Awesome place. A real parrot greets you when you walk in by saying things like hello or good bye. People are encouraged to pet and play with the animals inside the store. They offer financing if you dont have the money right now for a pet. They also sell snakes, lizards, frogs and chickens.
I really like this pet store but.... Unfortunately we bought a puppy from them a year ago and was told he was not neutered, come to find out he was. And now he also has hip dysplasia. We paid a lot of money for him and they basically said, sorry 🤷🏼♀️. Definitely felt we should have received a discount but I guess you live and learn.
I stopped into this store to buy food for my cat. I was excited to see the sign out front advertising animals available for adoption. Once inside, it was very clear that this is a scam, if not outright fraud. All of the dogs available have signs reading Adopt! but when asked, the clerk stated there was no paperwork to support this. I followed up with a phone call and, according to the person on the line, very few of the dogs are, in fact, classified as rescues. Of the few dogs that were supposedly from a rescue, there was little information regarding where they came from. The clerk said they are not given this information and that Id have to try to speak with the owner but she wasnt aware of how to do that. I would be very surprised if these pets were not all from puppy mills. If they are rescues, why not share with the adopter some basic information about the rescue group? The local animal shelter has so many dogs and cats that truly need to be rescued. You will find many breeds of dogs. If you want to go to a breeder, find a reputable one where you can see the conditions of the mother to ensure that you arent supporting a puppy mill.
I went there it’s a lovely place and has beautiful dogs there. The dog I think was cute was Gidget. Sadly I could not adopt her but would recommend getting her. She is so energetic an playful and a family would love her. I do hope one day she would get adopted and have the best family ever.
I have gotten 4 puppies from the owner of this pet store, my puppies have grown into amazing family members, if and when I am ready for another animal I will purchase here! If you dont follow instructions when first bringing a puppy into a new home and over feed or neglect your animal you will get a sick animal. This is the best place to get your animal!
We had an amazing experience with Villagio’s. They gave us a beautiful baby boy that we feel blessed to have! Great service and experience!!!
This owner is under investigation for obtaining dogs from puppy mills. See some of the comments that these animals have medical issues. Absurd prices!!!Do not support these deceptive pet stores.
Everybody is very knowledgeable here and has a great attitude. My girl loves going here and they are very clean and well oriented ... 5 stars!
Our newest family member is GREAT! He was well taken care of and has through records. Robbie is awesome. I know people frown on purchasing but when you find the one you will know. I wish the prices where a little more balanced (aka lower) but it is what it is.
Worst place ever to adopt a dog or any animal in fact. They had the dogs locked in tiny enclosures no water bowls or food bowls, just those water bottle things that hamsters drink out of and they charge out the butt for a dog! Definitely dealing with puppy mill dogs. If they didnt charge so much for a dog I might believe that they work with animal rescues but they definitely do not. Highly disappointed with this place and they should be shut down.
The kindest people on the planet for pets! They do adoptions as well as sales if you want a certain breed. I went behind scenes with their staff on a tour with my daughter to see the Vets that come in and check up on the dogs, we got to meet the breeders and learn about their natural breeding program and exercise program they have for the puppies! It was unlike any pet store. They also have a great donation program for service animals for veterans! Thank you for what you do in our community Villaggio Family Pets!
Love this pet shop! the employees in the store when i went were very nice. the crickets only cost $1 for 40! Also, they will let you hold a dog of your request. They have a variety of pets you can choose from. very awesome place.
I went here with a few friends to see some animals. We noticed that people were playing with dogs and asked if we could play with a dog as well. We ended up waiting almost 40 minutes to play with one as the worker who was supposed to help us with our dog was helping other customers with their dog when they hadnt been waiting nearly as long as we had. We ended having to leave without getting to play at all.
DO NOT DO NOT GO HERE! I wish this place was shut down! Everything negative you read in their reviews is true. They are NOT RESCUE dogs and this place only cares about MONEY! I don’t wish to go into detail because my heart is broken after loosing our one year old Husky we got at this facility. Just know the minute we brought her home she was sick and started having seizures too... She eventually went blind and is now no longer with us only one year later!!! I hope this place gets shut down! My heart hurts for the animals they have in their facility right now.
All of the workers were really kind and helpful! If your looking for a new pet, I 100% recommended going to them’
Don’t support businesses that work with puppy mills (and boldface lie to you claiming they are “rescues”). The dogs here do not have adequate water or care, and two poor puppies were audibly coughing. Kennel cough in a puppy can cost upwards of 1k to treat if left for too long, and can spread to your other pets. When I asked where the dogs were from, they said state-registered breeders. Even if that were true, none of the puppies have any mention of the breeder they came from, making this totally unverifiable information. I would encourage you to think twice about if you want to support a company that’s selling sick animals for thousands of dollars and making a huge profit. Save yourself the disappointment and cost of a sick puppy mill puppy and check out your local rescue or AKC certified breeder.
I just got my dog groomed here and he looks amazing! I definitely recommend their groomer Joe, he treats my dog so good every time and definitely takes his time to make sure he looks great! I will definitely be coming here more and Fridays its only $10 for a bath and brush! 😊
I really liked it there 4 of my family members were there and we purchased a Saint Bernard. Very pleased because the dog was healthy and happy. I wished they had signs pointing to the back so that way we can see the bigger dogs. The only reason why we even got that dog was because my friend and I were trying to find birds and I just happened to find two saints.
Look up PUPPYMILLS. Them and the rest of the puppy stores come up. Ive done my research after they SCAMMED us and tricked us. And they truly do get their dogs from puppymills. Please dont be deceived by them. They will say they dont and that they care for the puppies but they dont. They Only care about money and the poor parents that are stuck in the puppymill day in and day out in a small cage, never let out in filthy scum.. go to a place that doesnt lie about rescuing.
We love this store! My family and I come here to play with all of the animals. They look well taken care of and all of the staff are very knowledgeable & friendly. Thumbs up!
First, I have to vent about how I feel about Pet Stores in general! My gal and I have been frequenting Villaggio because she loves animals. Eventually she talked me into adopting a puppy. Although it was against my belief, this pet store has proven me wrong. They stand behind their health warranty without a big hassle. My dog caught a cold but they were quick to help me financially and my gals emotions. I just cant believe the service they gave us. Not only did I make my fiancé happy but they made everything right. We love going into their store and we especially love the fact they take good care of their animals. I strongly recommend them to all my friends. They even save animals from locals. These people really love what they do. I give them five thumbs up. Keep up the good job Villaggio. We appreciate you!
Walked into this pet mill front store only because I recognized the sound of a Macaw, curious to see the condition of the bird and hoping to be pleasantly surprised. Sadly the beautiful bird on the outside was in turmoil inside, pacing back and forth, visibly stressed with all the traffic of children walking by him to the puppies room. The Macaw is perched, not caged, right near the central passageway with a sign saying Do Not go Near with your Hand or Food...meaning the poor neurotic bird would defend himself and get a skin if you did. I questioned the 20 yr old running the cash register about what was necessary to buy a dog...no home checks, no screening, this place is a sad joke, its all about the $$$. These places should be shut down. The Macaw is an accident waiting to happen, he is under so much stress and the bird will unfortunately pay the price. Boycott this inhumane place and tell your friends why.
I’m Kelly Shahan I’ve been working at Villaggio Family Pets as a Groomer for almost 4 months now. I love the staff on how they let me know which puppy needs a bath to make their appearance better. I also Groom Customers dogs as well. Everyone is so nice to me there especially Mike he reminds me how good of a job I do.
We are so happy with Villaggio Family Pets!! They are so patient and kind to our dog. I would love to recommend them to my friends and relatives.
Good store conveniently located. Easy parking and helpful friendly staff. Prices are always good.
Place is a joke and will screw you over. We went in to look at a puppy we saw online, ( Boston terrier) which pure bloods retail 1,00-1,200 right from breeder. Well they wanted to charge $2,400 minus there sale price so $2,100 for a Boston that was 1) a rescue and 2) clearly not full blood Boston 3) could not provide ANY paper work on where it came from, heath papers nothing. Be careful because these people don’t care about the dogs just the money. All there dogs dont look very healthy so fare warning to those looking.
Place was horrible, sold us a sick puppy which died less than 24 hours after we brought him home. Numerous people have complained its only a matter of time before they are shut down. Selling from fake puppy rescues, and selling sick animals...
We got our new puppy here and they were amazing.
Absolutely disgusted. The quality of life in there for the rodents “feeders” is appalling. They are stacked on top of one another in plastic bins with small holes poked randomly on the lids. As a pet shop, you would expect that the treatment and respect in there for the creatures would be equal, it is far less than that. Wish I could of put 0 stars.
We bought our new Teddy Bear puppy there and had a great experience. My parents also got their Maltese puppy there and had a good experience as well. The staff has always been very kind and thorough with answers to questions. The check out process was very comprehensive and the paperwork on the dog was incredibly detailed. They showed the puppies lineage, their warranty, helpful tips and full veterinary report including any illnesses the puppy had (I am more concerned with them being honest than being worried about not making a sale because they were truthful that the dog had a slight cold etc.) The selection of everything you need to get started is great and they have even now expanded to offer grooming services. Thanks Villagio!
This place is no good....all of my family has got pets from REAL rescues....me sister and mother both ran their own rescues....just like another person posted they are getting their puppies from a mill.....avoid this place...save your money and go to a rescue or the pound you will find a pet that needs your love and care...purebred animals are in rescues..do not waist your time at this dump
What spectacular services !! Can’t really believe that how good you are and how absolutely uncomplicated the process was and how well arranged you are. Wonderful! Thanks.
The staff isn’t the best, more on the rude side if I’m being honest. I understand it’s directly across from the mall but customer service should always be number one. Just my experience with this establishment, the most that the employees have done is greet us at the door and that would be about it. On top of that every time my fiancé and I have been in, only a few people were there so it wasn’t like they were extremely busy. The reason why I say that the customer service is lacking is because every time we’ve asked questions regarding the puppies, payments, shots, or even seeing the dogs they give us side eyes, sighs of annoyance, and they impatiently wait until we are done seeing puppies. Getting a dog is a huge responsibility, the employees should be the first to admit that, so taking time to see which dog would be the best fit for us so we can provide it the best life is extremely important. Regarding whether or not this place is a rescue is debatable. I personally cannot decipher if this place is a rescue or not. More or less I’m leaning towards it not being a rescue (mainly because of how many purebreds there are) but that’s just out of assumption and speculation, definitely will be gaining more entail about that in the up coming visits to this establishment. The second star is honestly just for how cute the puppies are, but I hope that the manager takes this comment more as constructive criticism rather then a “hate comment”. Customer service is a huge thing for my fiancé and I, it’s what really makes it or breaks it if we adopt from any type of establishment.
I was there yesterday,They just got a little bulldog that looked like the runt of the litter,it was just 4 weeks old and had just arrived a few hours ago,you would think that these people would put this puppy in a quite area,so it can rest and get use to its environment,no they didnt,it was being handed from person to person, just for the sale,it looked tired and confused, then they had another dog, I think it was a Austrian cattle dog, well let me tell you, this puppy was out on the floor in a exercise wire gated area, this dog had two deformed front legs, all of there dogs come fro back east puppy mills, with some of the steps with the worse reputation for the worse breeding conditions or from local backyard breeders, but they sure get top $$$$$ for there dogs, some of there dogs come from kennels and have kennel cough, which is an upper respiratory infection in the lungs and some I have seen have discharges from there eyes,This place sell expensive Sick puppies......Go to the Animal Shelter and adopt a sweet dog that needs a loving home and put this puppy mill retail store out of business....
Store is clean and well layed out. They had lots of sale items too. Staff was nice...
When I went there, I first noticed how organized the store was. They had everything in order and I could find stuff very easily. I love how their mascot was being free and he wasnt caged up. However, some constructive criticism would be to replace the floors in the playroom as when I was playing with the Bichon Frise, he kept on trying to bite the little nails on the ground. Also for larger dogs, I recommend giving them more room or add a bigger enclosure to the area where the cages are. For the cats, I believe they should have a larger cage and have their littler cleaned out more often. I would recommend this place to others!
Sorry, Villaggio Family Pets... even if you faumithfully respond to each of your customer ratings one by one, it does Not hide the vast number of horrible, obviously truthful, one-star ratings you have received. To prospective Customers, it also should be noted that the Better Business Bureau gave you Villagio Family Pets an F - the Lowest rating possible! I am looking to adopt a homeless kitty, and so of course did my due diligence this afternoon. After reading through every single one of your ratings, I can absolutely say that I will never set foot in your Puppy Mill-driven House of Horrors for Any reason, and that when the state forces you out of business, my heart will rest easier. Would-be customers beware!! NO LEGITIMATE BREEDER WILL EVER - EVER! - SELL THEIR PUPPIES THROUGH A PET STORE!! Boycott these criminals!!
The staff were very friendly and helpful. The selection of pets is small, mostly puppies, reptiles, and even some chickens.
This place is disgusting and should be shut down. Don’t buy your dogs or any animal for that fact from here. It was so heartbreaking to see all the puppies locked away in small containers with nothing but news paper. Many of the dogs looked very sad and depressed and some were very frustrated and were trying to break out of the containers. One dog was laying in its own poop yet no staff member did anything about that. I’m reporting this place and I hope whatever lisence they have to sell animals is revoked. What they are doing those poor animals is criminal.
Great customer service and best price on crickets to fed my lizards.
I fell in love with my new adopted puppy from these guys. The store was clean and the staff was very knowledgeable. Thank You for making my family happy.
Thanks, Villaggio Family Pets for taking care of my pet in all aspects. I would highly recommend this place of business.
3ed dog ive got from them couldnt be happier. Fast and friendly customer service throw with all contracts really enjoyed my experience there
This place is horrible. I bought a dog here and before we could take her home they said their vet would check to make sure she is clear to go home with us and is healthy. Well we took her home and within around a day she started having diarrhea so we took her to our local vet and he tested her blood and stool, she came back positive for Gardia a parasite. Also her blood work showed she was anemic. The total costs for the blood work and stool sample and medications was around 500$ and when we had originally bought the dog the guy that was there that day told us that if anything were to come up that this place would cover it as long as we claim it at a certain time. Well he lied because when we tried to call and file a claim they told us that we could only be issued store credit... of 500$! Don’t buy here they don’t care about the dogs or your business, they only care about the money.
Lets start with the employees I have gone in here 3 times only to be treated terribly. The lady with brown hair is extremely rude wouldnt even acknowledge that my fiancé and I were standing there trying to see and find out the price on the puppy. She replied in a very rude manner I dont know. If I am paying $2000 cash for a dog you shouldnt be treating a customer like crap. Absolutely unacceptable, not to mention that their dogs have poop and look drugged up. I wen to play with a dog in the play cage and he wouldnt even move because he was so doped up with what ever they give them. THEY SHOULD BE SHUT DOWN DO NOT GO HERE !!!
I just want to say thank you to everyone at Villagio Family Pets, It is always a pleasure to go in and see everyone. I have 3 dogs, 2 cats, and breed chameleons so Im in there constantly. I always receive the best customer service and am always picked for my knowledge to help them gain more knowledge on reptiles. Its nice to see a store try to improve in every which way. I highly recommend Villagio Family Pets, believe me my animals are my family. I would never recommend a facility if I didnt have confidence they love animals like my fiance and I do.
This place is a puppy mill
Rocky is the best! I wanted to take him home. 😍😍
Friend got her dog today. They were super knowledgeable and kind.
Their pets are not rescue animals, this place can get some serious fines from the state
Super friendly service and great selection of dog food and treats!!
Puppies were cute, probably from a mill though
Great place, especially for feeder mice, but it can get busy at times.
Nice sekection of products and cute animals
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT GET A DOG FROM HERE!!! Me and my boyfriend are new to the area and we were just walking around and came across this place with no intent to get a dog. Well... we go to the back room to see this poor little golden retriever lying there basically lifeless so of course I wanted to see him. I ended falling in love with him but it baffled me a bit how an 8 week old puppy isnt even acting like a normal puppy should. Since he counted as a rescued dog that they apparently saved, which is horse s**t, we still paid almost $600 for him and a day later we took him to the vet and found out he had kennel cough. So this poor 8 week old dogs has been hacking his lungs out for the past 3 days even with meds in his body. I could care less about the financial aspect of it but the cruelty is sick! This place needs to be shut down IMMEDIATELY!!!! For the damn sake of these poor dogs. Please read before you adopt an animal and do research on the place like I wish I did. Im just glad this little guy is far away from that hell hole.UPDATE: our dogs is now almost a year old and a day after I posted this, we took him to our trusted vet, not the one they request you to go to who also is the doctor who signs off that your dog is healthy to be adopted. Bulls**t. Anyway, we were naïve and took him to there vet and they said he has a “slight” case of kennel cough and should be fine... fast forward to talking him to our trusted vet who discovered he actually had pneumonia and had to fightfor his life for the next week. With all this going on we had a customer service rep call us from the store seeing how we are enjoying our puppy And we explained to her the entire situation going on and asked how they could let this happen to an eight week old puppy who apparently was “surrendered”. Also to keep in fact there was no paperwork on where he came from or anything about him and all she, with her very sassy attitude, could say was he’s from California. We continued to question where and more information on him and she had nothing. I still stand with my review that this place is cruel and inhumane and needs to go! We still never regret walking in because our dog is the greatest and luckily he overcame pneumonia and has had no other health issues.
Adopted two dogs that became Ill the day after they came home. $2000 in vet bills and months of medical issues. Both dogs had worms, Giardia, kennel cough that lead to pneumonia. Do not buy a dog from these people.
This place had such an easy adoption procedure, we love our Beagle 💜
I purchased Pomeranian four years ago, i am returning i decided to purchase a second pomeranian, i have confidence in bellaggio their employees are courteous and always willing to help
Worst customer service I have ever experienced! Both employees were so rude and the animals were not in great conditions.
I love animals with my whole heart, so I have gone into the store about three times and every time Ive gone in I could see multiple puppies were sick. My friend recently bought a husky from here and he had a really bad sickness and was not able to be taken home for three weeks. I went in my last time when I fell in love with a frenchie but it was $4,200?!? Im sorry but if he came with a car as well then of course. But this place has overpriced sick puppies that dont seem to be taken care of.
Best Advice ever..Great and knowledgeable Staff.
They let you pet any puppies you wanted! The staff was nice and friendly as well
Cute puppies awesome bird!!! Check it out.
We love our new family member!!! He is the cutest little guy!!! Staff are very nice and help with everything!!! Welcome home Tucker!!!
I purchased a boxer puppy from Villagio just shy of four years ago. The day I took her home I stopped by my vet and after a check up found she was sick with kennel cough, had a UTI and an ear infection along with a heart murmur which they declared to be genetic. She came with a seven year health guarantee where they claimed that any money spend on genetic or hereditary illnesses would be refunded. Never saw a dime. In fact I was hung up on several times when calling about the process for said refunds. I eventually gave up and just did what I could to keep her happy and treat the issues as they arose. Fast forward four years and thousands of dollars later in vet bills for random infections and chronic sickness due to severe allergies. (We had a allergy panel done on her and the list of items in the red numbered over 50 including pet dander and human dander) She was sitting outside to this afternoon as she always did in the evenings with my family and she just seized up and collapsed. She was gone within minutes from sudden cardiac arrest...at 3.5 years old.. I am so upset at the loss of her but I am so incredibly angry at this puppy mill shop. How can the breeders live with themselves and how can this so called pet store live with the fact that they sell such poorly bred and sickly animals? I dont take back buying her. I was able to provide her with the care she needed in her very short life and she was amazing. I just want to strongly urge anyone reading this who is considering buying a pet from Villagio to strongly reconsider.Update: I also find it funny that most every other review has been replied to except mine. My opinion still stands, there are numerous shelters, rescues and reputable breeders that have puppies and dogs who need homes. Villagio is not one of those places.
The puppies were very mean!! Also the employees let the puppy to completely attack me! Im very disappointed in this place. The puppy I was playing with had a cold and seemed to be wheezing as well.
I recommend anyone not to buy a puppy here, Im sorry that I did! First of all they lie to all their customers saying that their dogs are from breeders..wrong! I did some research and found out that my little Siberian Husky came from a puppy mill in Missouri, couldnt even find his parents online..red flag! Also, when I brought him home he had severe diarrhea, vomiting, and was dehydrated. Two days later he was showing signs of being sick, green nasal discharge, and coughing. Took him to the vet and he was diagnosed with a respiratory infection and is now on Amoxicillin and Metronidazole..almost $300 later on the first vet visit! Im afraid to find out what other medical issues he has, please stay away from this place! All of their puppies are sick and malnourished, eating their own feces is a sign! Helping spread the word so this pet store goes out of business!
Where to begin? Lets start with.. DO NOT PURCHASE A PUPPY FROM HERE!! I purchased an Australian Shepherd with a health guarantee for 15 days from the purchase date...took it home..guess what? It had diarrhea..no big deal, right? WRONG! They advised me to take it to their Vet, who did a standard fecal test on it..informed me that there was nothing wrong with my pet. My instincts told me to get a second opinion..and I am so glad I did..Our dog had Giardia that doesnt show up on standard fecal tests. Very sneaky Villaggio Pets..that health guarantee and vet reimbustment costs...well the first $500 is store credit.. Please, do not purchase a pet from here!! Spread the word..!! I know that I will be telling anyone I can to not buy from here.! Thanks Villaggio pets for the sick dog that is on its second round of medication for Giardia, thanks for the financial strain and heartbreak of my children who cant interact with their puppy because I wont chance them getting Giardia, google it..see how horrible it is and how ridiculous it is that a pet store would sell a dog with that existing condition!
This outfit is selling puppy mill dogs from MO, uhhh, Missouri, which is the puppy mill central where the mother dogs are kept in kennels their whole lives with litter after litter and there is no concern for their health and well being or socialization..oh they will lie and tell you they inspect the breeder and check and all is approved and the dogs will have a warranty blah blah blah what a crock they buy fro Missouri because they get them cheap and charge you suckers a ton of money. It is bad enough what back yard breeders are doing on Craigslist and just go to the shelters and see the tons of dogs being killed due to lazy low lifes who want to make easy cash treating animals like garbage so you buy puppies...stay away from this scam hell hole. They sell pet rats as snake food and lie about it. I know of people who have had pet rats and they are amazing. For goodness sakes have respect for animals and do not support this awful place.
Good pet shop, great price on crickets
They have dogs. I love dogs.
Clean, friendly, and awesome animals.
The workers were so kind, all of the animals are all so cute
The gentleman would not let me take a picture of the dog I wanted he was rude
My experience has been identical to that of Ariels. This pet store has sold me a sick puppy. Sick puppy that has been documented sick by a reputable veterinarian, other than the veterinarian that the pet shop is in cahoots with. ALL CUSTOMERS BE WARNED NOT TO BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS PET STORE. THEY ARE LIARS. My puppy has been diagnosed with coccidia, kennel cough, a secondary respiratory infection, bronchitis, pnuemonia (which takes 2-3 weeks to develop), & 2 ear infections. My vetenarian has stated that this puppy was illegally sold and entirely too young to be at a pet shop. In addition, the required shots were given too quickly at untimely intervals to ensure a healthy puppy. It is obvious that this pet shop was trying to make a quick sale. Lastly, the most detrimental of all has been the tramatic process for my kids to see such a sick puppy literally lay lifeless at our home days after bringing him home from the pet shop. The pet shop manager ROBBIE is a complete waste of human life...you cannot trust his kind. Needless to say I have spent well over $4000 dollars for 8 days of puppy ownership, and I am now pursuing legal action. See you soon Robbie and Villagio Family Pets!
I had a terrible experience here. I came in an purchased a puppy there which seemed as if it were in good health. While i was purchasing the puppy i was told that he had a small hernia but it was no big deal. I continued to ask if this was going to be a problem later on and if it would need to be fixed. They told me its just an umbilical hernia and that it would go away on its own. I thought nothing of it. A few days later i come to find out that he will need surgery to get the hernia fixed and was quoted around 300 dollars. I also found out that he has an undescended testicle which was not marked on the exam given to us at the pet store. To get him fixed would be almost twice as much to get the other testicle. So total i was looking at 800 dollars right off the bat. So i emailed their claims department. The next day i find out he has Coccidia and is going to need antibiotics. The vet also recommended me to get antibiotics for my other two dogs because they could be infected as well. That is anther $60. Now i really loved this puppy and i wanted him to be happy and healthy. But i did not pay $1200 for a sick puppy. This was a lot of money and me and my boyfriend could barely afford it. We definitely were not expecting to pay over $2000 dollars for this puppy. Me and my boyfriend are both trying to finish school, and i just work a part time job at petsmart. The people at Villaggio Family Pets were very rude and kept saying to contact the claims department through fax or email. The claims department doesnt have a phone number so you cant actually talk to someone because apparently they dont want to be bombarded with upset people. At least thats what we were told. We googled their fax number and it came up as another pet stores fax number. We called the pet store and they just kept saying oh thats not our fax number (even though it was listed as their fax number on their website) they also kept saying they werent associated with Villaggio Family Pets. We did a little more research on where the puppy originally came from and found out he came from a puppy mill. The puppy mill he came from had about a dozen citations for things such as sanitary issues, and too many puppies in one cage. This puppy mill was on the ASPCAs top 100 list of terrible puppy mills. It was number 37. They are liars and they dont only get their puppies from trusted breeders that have been checked my all sorts of humane societies. I was devastated to find this out. We definitely didnt want our new puppy to be sick and infecting our other dogs and we couldnt take it anymore. We went into the store and tried to talk to the so called manager who was very rude about the situation. We kept asking who the owner was and if we could talk to them. He wouldnt give us the name of the owner. He pulled out his cell phone and went to the back of the store. When he came back out he practically grabbed the puppy out of my arms and said( by the way this is a direct quote) you no longer have a puppy anymore. Then he proceeded to the back of the store and put the puppy back in one of the displays. At this point i was in full fledged tears and had to walk out. My boyfriend had handled the rest, because i could barely speak. In the end we left without our puppy. Im still so upset over this situation. We never got reimbursed for the $50 we spent on antibiotics for this puppy, but at this point i dont care i just want that poor little italian greyhound puppy to find a good home with someone who can afford to take care of like he deserves. He was a great puppy he was fun to play with and was practically already potty trained. He was such a fast learner! Gosh i miss him so much! i just really hope he finds the right family for him. Id love to here from the person that does buy him!
I witnessed the worker throw the dog in the cage
Came in and asked for to look at a dog with my three friends, they said okay we will put you on the list an hour went by and people that walked in after us already saw a dog, whenever we tried to ask a worker, they would turn there back to us and ignore us. Terrible. never got to see a dog
Great service!! Very helpful
This place is closed.
Prices are very high they took so long I looked at everything in the store still waiting for the guy to come and answer my one question
Pretty cool place with very friendly staff.
Terrible place! Noticed that all the puppies were from the puppy mill areas in Missouri, Oklahoma, etc. and saw that the pups were way too young to be separated from litters. Looked at Yelp reviews and there were too may complaints of sickness and even death of pups which cost owner thousands of dollars. Need to close this place. Now.
Great pet shop, cheapest feeders in town
This place is awesome :-$
Good variety of dogs. Very friendly.
Do not go here for grooming services our dogs got kennel cough from here!
Came to see a dog with my son and they exposed us to a dog with kennel cough. They then took the dog away and refused to place it near other dogs after we played with it for 20 minutes
My friend and I were waiting for 1 hour to pet a dog and the workers placed at least 3 groups a had of us and said they where here before you and it wasnt true at all
Stay clear of this pet store! Sound a sick puppy...Horrible horrible place!!
Love our fur baby
They have live feeder mice for my ball python!
I will never ever purchase a pet from this place again.
Like the all your can eat option!!
