Coming from Orange County, Asian markets in the Inland are not as exciting. Much smaller, however, to my surprise, this one seems to be packed and very convenient. My moms cooking is still very traditional, and she has no problems getting everything she needs here.
Best place to find authentic international spices, fruits, exotic meats and veggies. There are a whole host of products that cannot be found in your typical grocery store. Its definitely an adventure trip.
I refuse to ever shop at this store again. They lost a customer for life. First issue was some “fresh” noodles. You know, not the dry noodles but the ones that should be refrigerated but they don’t. They have them in random places of the store on end caps and wooden shelves. Got a couple moldy packs. No big deal. It was my fault for not checking especially with clear packaging so I let it go. Second issue, a few weeks later, was a huge bag of sweet rice I bought. Didn’t open it for a couple weeks but when I did there were worms in it. The little white silk worms that look almost identical to the rice (until they start moving you can tell by the brown spots as the head too). Anyways, there’s no way for me to check on the freshness of that. So I brought it back to the store, just wanted a replacement not even a refund. Owner refused. Said because of Covid he said people have been hoarding rice and storing improperly for months in their garage and stuff so they get worms and try to return it. I told him it hasn’t even been a couple weeks. He gave me his number. Told me to bring receipt. I don’t keep receipt for rice so I brought the CC statement of when purchase was made. He never got back to me.Lost a customer for life over a $35 of rice. Also the business of my in-laws and her siblings too. Guess it doesn’t matter though. He makes it up with the higher prices.
I bought a whole red snapper from here and it was amazing! When it comes to meats and seafoods there are tons of options to choose from, particularly large cuts of meat, whole fish and other things like squid and octopus that you cant normally get at other grocery stores. The staff were very nice, attentive and helpful and I was helped as soon as I got to the meat counter. Ill definitely be going here for my seafood from now on.
Wide variety of all your Asian and exotic food needs. Plus theres a couple of inside restaurants with good options to eat. Staff is generally pretty friendly and helpful and plentiful. So, any questions you might have, theres almost always someone right there to ask. Fair pricing and good quality products.
I gotta say, I do not frequent asian markets often, but ive been a fan of asian culture for a long time, and this market delivers. I found all my childhood favorites, the guy at the deli counter was very informative and even gave me some great behind the scenes info on hard to find items, honestly, the store is a treasure trove of new experiences, seafood looks great, got me a proper cleaver, ive gone twice now and theres so many things I wanna try for the first time. Prices do not appear inflated either, just got beef for a dollar less per pound than albertsons, and on top of everything, 90% of the stuff there, you wont find at a regular grocery store anyway. Green tea kit kats for example! Wow. Love it. Online research also indicates they are larger than most of the asian markets in the area, so the selection is the best. No complaints at all. Found everything I needed and im still discovering new items with every visit. They even have pork buns. If thats not authentic, I dont know what is. Cant wait to come back and discover another treat.
They have many items I cannot get anywhere else in town. Good produce. Unusual tropical fruit. Eastern and Middle eastern supplies
Great grocery store for Asian food. Fresh meat and fish. Employees are helpful and kind.
They have all types of fresh coco here from young to aged coconuts. They are kept in a fridge, i am impressed. Normally other Asian grocery stores leave them out at room temp. They do get spoiled especially when its hot.
Only thing I don’t like about this place is the little skinny Mexican dude at the fish section. Mijo if you don’t like your job, quit. Don’t get mad at the customers. I’ll give this store 5 stars when he’s gone or fixes his attitude.
We got all the miso soup ingredients here, i love the fresh pompano. Choice of rice is fascinating, you can find purple, black, orange, yellow rice in there.
I love Asian markets and shopping centers. My previous excursions take me to places like H Mart, etc.. I love learning and appreciating new foods, products, and items all within discovering new culture. The variety of stock was plentiful, produce was beautiful and fresh, meat and fish was diverse. I came away with what I was out to purchase as well as a few new things to try, and even those Youtube Famous items my nephew was excited to try. Staff was friendly and so helpful!
If youre into Asian cooking, this is a place for you. All the ingredients you need to make your favorite Asian cuisine. I found all the ingredients I need to make pad Thai. All kinds of different types of noodles are here. I found some of my favorite soy sauces too. This time, I was able to get all the ingredients I need to make chicken curry.
Great place for many cultural items. Great prices. The bakery and restaurant are very good
Have been going more recently since I work in this area, and Ive got to say, this store really has it all. If I am in the mood for something weird, or something familiar, I know I can find it, the isles havent changed so every time I come back, I know exactly where to go. Staff is nice, but mostly shy, so Im not held up at the cash register. Go here if youre looking to try something new or something different.
This is my familys go to Asian market--we live in Lake Elsinore and will drive to 88 Ranch when we need to stock up on ingredients. Parking is a breeze with the big lot, the employees are friendly and know where things are inside the store (you know how sometimes employees dont know when you ask them where you can find something), and theres a yummy bakery. We cook a lot of Filipino, Thai, and started cooking some Chinese dishes and are grateful for this market. Highly recommended!
Clean store snd staffs are helpful. They have good stock up on groceries, vegetables may lack on your specific choice. The seafood counter is good, they will clean snd cut your fish and if you want they will fry it free, that amazing if you have rush and no time to do your own.
I love this place i hope they add more items.
Nice shopping place. I have always found what i needed.
All kinds of unique Asian items love my jackfruit but dont be in a hurry
I’m giving this place five stars for their enormous variety of hard to find one of kind food items and groceries. They offer Asian themed foods, spices, sauces, produce, specialty fresh meat, and a unique variety of iced fresh seafood and bulk quantities of every type of rice and noodle you can imagine. They also have limited American foods to complete your visit as well. If I had grown up in an Asian country and missed that on special food item from my home country well this is the best place to find it. It’s a cultural experience just to go thru it and you won’t be disappointed as there is something for everyone. Try their in house food kitchen for delicious Vietnamese fresh hot food as well.
88 Ranch was a good experience. Is my first time there and I was able to find a couple of things that I had trouble finding and other Asian markets. One of the items I was looking for, Ive been searching for months and was able to find it there.
Good market, had a wide variety of products. A great selection of ramen. There were large pots/woks, along with many other utensils. It was a mostly East Asian market, with a small selection for South Asian flavors. Some things were a little pricey. We walked away with a lot of tofu, for a great price.
We get what we can from here. Nice that it isnt to far away. Vegetables are usually really good! They dont carry everything we need. I liked the meat when they had opened up but not now. We get fish sometimes and they clean it!
Usually has what I need... Unless theres a pandemic lol. The music is sometimes loud but all good it has me moon walking their isles lol
This grocery store is so clean and offers so a wide variety of asian products you cant find elsewhere! I wish they were closer to my home!
This place is great to shop for stuff that you wouldnt find at other places
They have really nice and diffrent kinds of food that you wouldnt find in a regular store
This place has a lovely new grocery feel & look compared to other Asian grocery stores. Their selection is skewed more on Asian regions outside of China (Indonesia, Philippines, India, Thailand, Malaysia, Vietnam, etc) so the product mix is very different that what you might expect of say Ranch 99. As someone who is Thai, this makes the store a pleasant alternative as it makes me want to go back in a heartbeat and try new products I have never seen/tried before! Kudos to the owner for choosing to accept EBT (as Ive discovered some Asian food stores dont!)
Only place in the area that can slice meat thin enough to make beef jerky.
Id your looking for Asian ingredients. This is the place go. They have everything you need.
Seriously the best place!! I love the kitchen they have inside. They have the best food. Their prices are affordable and they are Lays nicely stocked. Employees are always really friendly as well
I love this store! It has a good mix of items for a wide variety of Asian cultures. The staff are friendly and it wasnt overly crowded in the store. I like to go aisle by aisle and see all of the different things they offer. They even distribute samples at times. The plaza itself needs some major road work as it has fairly sizable potholes which Im sure had nothing to do with the market but it really needs to be addressed.
Im glad they have an Asian market around the area. They are always well stocked and produce are fresh!
Smaller than 99 Ranch, but has most everything. Good selection of fish, shellfish and fresh produce.
So glad I found this store. I love my Thai meals and always find exactly what I need to create them.
I go here for almost all the groceries I need since it is close to home. Price is higher compared to most Asian markets that I know of. There are not enough selection of produce and Asian food products. Overall, it is still a good place to buy Asian groceries.
The bakery was a great place to visit....😃👍
Nice store, I like it.Good selection of Asian foods and kitchen items.
Everything expensive. Seeing the internet advertising, I thought they have reasonable prices. Where is the problem?
Enjoyed shopping here. The staff was very helpful.
This man name Hemet gave me exceptional service and hes such a nice smile to see every time I come.
Place is always clean and workers are extremely nice and helpful.
Very clean market & the seafood selection…wouza! 👍💎✨
Great selection! I need this place in my city. It would blow the competitors away.
The place is nice so are the staff. The owner is a bit indifferent. He was nice to a white guy but to a fellow asian guy, he has this certain look.
GREAT market. Im from Hawaii and I find things I miss from the islands. 🤙🏾👌🏾
A wealth of Asian cuisine-ingredients, kitchenware, snacks, frozen treats, and free-to-fry fresh flash-frozen fish. They also sell dungeness crabs and lobsters.
I thought they improved, but I guess they should know what the expiration date and production date are and clean up the inventory. So terribly, I just bought this today, and they are all molded. They are the frozen rice balls which might not be the most popular goods, but I won’t know I am buying molded food since it’s on the shelf. Or.. whatever reason. My suggestion will be buy the ones you can see... you should be fine.....
So much good menu at the food court.
Would surely recommend trying this spot. Exceptional ambience, delightful dishes, good customer service. 5 stars.
Selection of different products and produce .
Too little not enough space. Been to the 88 ranch mart in Corona, much bigger, proper meat depth. More like a mini version.
Good place for anyone that loves fresh seafood, asian cuisines that can be made at home. Price are not too bad as well. Different varieties of rice, sauces, noodles, etc....!
Great selection of food, however, the cashiers are terrible at customer service. They have their AirPods in while at the register. The one girl who was scanning my items was yelling across the register at the other cashier. Moreover, she was texting on her phone before she started scanning my items even though the line was long. These cashiers need to be trained on how to interact with customers because they are unfriendly and unhelpful.
Great place to shop. Huge variety.
They have lots of the Asian ingredients I look for but just like everywhere else prices are going up.
Best Lumpinas in Cali
There is no better Asian market within a 1 hour drive in any direction. Trust me I know. The fish is incredibly fresh, you can find almost anything Asian here.
They have a good variety of asian products. They have a 1 star because the clerk was rude. I am a no fuss kinda shopper. I am in and out of a store. I grab what i need pay for my goods and go. I grabbed a hot pot. The price says 19.99. I took it to the clerk to pay for it. So it rang up at 40 dollars. So I politely said the shelf tag says it was 19.99. She left the register, walk to the shelf and pulled out the price tag on the shelf. Then she looked at me with indignation and said, there. So I politely said no thanks. I dont want that item and paid for the produce I need.
Recommend trying this spot. good customer service. 5 stars.
Need to have more space for people to walk an the bread need to be place in small bags just like Cardenas, so we can grab it ourselves!
Really great selection, clean store, friendly staff and good prices.
Picks up some nice vegetables. Green Papaya, Daikon, Yuca( casaba), Taro roots, Malanga(yautia) and others.
As I am improving my diet I thought I would check out 88 ranch. What a pleasant surprise! The selection of products was superb.
The seafood area is sub par. The guy behind the counter acted annoyed that I was there. Smelled bad as well. This is no 99 Ranch Market, thats for sure. Kitchen gadgets, etc., are a good deal there though.
Meat and produce is fresh and theres always some sales going on every week
Love this place, Asian food market. Need more staff at the registers.
Great selection and priced just right.
They always have different fruits to try and fruits Ive found while living overseas. I love this place.
Very good food to go. Lots of selections of oriental dishes
Good employees,clean store
My grocery favorite store. Family owned and operated its clean a well stocked with hard to source items and competively priced.
Wide variety of food.. lots of meat and seafood selection.. saju.. and two dif restaurants to eat at.. 👌
They have almost everything you need to make any kind of asain food. And the workers are friendly and available to answer any questions.
A great example of an Asian supermarket.
Its okay. The lines can get long at times.
They have great catfish, 👍 perfect for my fish soup.
They have a great selection of products you womt find in any other store in temecula. They have a great produce section and deli. Definitely worth shopping here!
Bought fresh taro leaves here, it was extremely fresh and very high quality. I just admit I was surprised as my expectations of obtaining high quality taro anywhere in the region were low.
To be honest I like ranch 99 better. This place has most Asian items. Its ok. Nothing wrong with this. Just prefer 99 or 88 lol
Pretty decent selection of all types of Asian foods and ingredients.
They have everything youll need for some Asian groceries!
I absolutely love this store we are addicted to Korean coffee.
Found live blue crabs and good price!
Great variety.
Very good variety 👍
