This place is awesome. Probably one of the best sandwiches I have honestly ever had in my life. The Fat Ham & Cheese is amazing! Inside is also very cool and relaxing environment. Plenty of different coffees and beers on hand, and very cool modern decor. Staff is also very friendly and accommodating. One of my favorite places in Lake County, hands down. Keep up the great work guys! :)

Service was great, quick and friendly. Coffee tasted perfect and the prices were fair. The overall appearance of the restaurant/cafe/ bar was nice as well. If I’m ever passing through this town again I’d definitely stop by! Also, would recommend El Diablo.

How have I not been here before??My wife brought home half a sandwich (Italian sub) from here a while back. I took a bite and fell in love!Yesterday, I took my wife there for a lunch date. It was even better than I could have imagined!There’s seating inside and out. The staff are insanely polite and the food…the food is amazing!After ordering my Italian sub, I watch as countless other menu items emerge from the kitchen. They all looked so good it made me 2nd guess my order. Until my sub came out and I took a bite. Then I remembered why I fell in love with it!So, my plan is to try as many items on the menu as possible. It’ll take some time but I’m up for the challenge.They also have some great coffee made fresh. Next time I’m here, I’m getting myself an adult beverage. I’m a Stout/Porter fan and it looked like they had a few to choose from.I know I already mentioned how great the staff are but it’s worth repeating. They are full of smiles and very helpful.

This place is a hidden gem!! Great food, spectacular service, and the atmosphere is on point. We came here for lunch and all the staff were so friendly and made us feel right at home. If you like a Cuban sandwich you gotta try the Llama Cuban! Definitely coming back!

This is a great little place to grab a delicious lunch. The staff is super friendly and the food is fresh and amazing. I have wanted to eat here since you opened.. and can never make it in. You close early and arent open on Sundays? Or some holidays like Valentines Day? I, like SO many people I have talked to have tried to come eat here with the same problem. I cant wait till I can get there when your OPEN to change the review. My husband and I have eaten here a few times and have never had a bad experience. The restaurant is clean, the staff is accommodating, and there is not one bad item on the menu! Definitely a favorite spot and a go-to without hesitation!!

The sandwiches were absolutely amazingly great. I would definately recommend this place. This used to be a gas station with llama in its name. It took the name llama and decorated it wonderfully with lots of llama references. The staff was beyond nice. Multible types of bottled beer and other drinks to chose from. They have cheese and wine tasting some evenings and other specials not on the menu. Will definately be back

I always try to eat where the locals eat. After all, if the restaurant is flagged for health code violations, or serves terrible food, it will not be around for long! If the employees of the businesses surrounding the Deli Llama give this happening spot their business, then that is a huge indicator to me of the quality of the food, not to mention the quantity ( huge)! This adorable little gas station turned into a Retro Deli ( named the Deli Llama...how cute is that?) has indoor and outdoor seating, as well as a full service bar. Sit at the custom made counter, or in the secluded table for two by the window, but get there early to avoid the Courthouse crowd. The menu items are just as good as the vibe of the place. We tried Goats on a Date for an appetizer. Its a sweet date covered with goat cheese, balsamic dressing...so good! Then we.picked our sandwiches...so far weve had a Hot Mess, the Italian, the Cuban, and the King of Kings. Each sandwich is flavorful, stacked high with all the goodies, with some amazing pickles on the side( made by a local -The Proper Pickle of Orlando). They have specialty coffees, canned drinks, and a bag of chips for sides. Call for times, but they close at 5! The Deli Llama is quickly becoming one of my favorite places to eat at. Its always yummy! Enjoy!

Tasty food. Friendly folks. The staff recommended I try the Cuban and it was really good. Lots of delicious meat, a subtle sauce, topped with cheese. I honestly could have done without the extra side of chips as it was quite a large sandwich. Also plenty of drink options with coolers looking the wall for you to select from and coffees as well.

Great munchies with an eclectic vibe. Had the hot mess and a cuban. A oui bit pricey but really good. When in town will be back to try something else. Didnt have any of the coffees but enticing.....would have been an easy 5 star had staff been wearing masks

I tried the SoFlo bagel and avocado toast. The bagel was fantastic! Top notch. Loved it. The avocado toast was so much bigger than expected. It is not a dainty toast: I should have gotten the half order, LOL. That said, it was very yummy as well. Coffee was just the way I like it: hot, fresh, and strong.The inside seating is very small, but there is some patio seating available for nice days. The staff were friendly and funny. The dining area was very clean, especially since its counter service only. All in all, I will be back for that bagel 🥯

Very friendly place with a hipster vibe. Great selections of beer, wine and soft drinks (ala carte). Sandwiches are made to order and the taste is great. Love the pressed paninis (bread has a nice crispy bite)! We had the King of Kings and the Baked Brie panini. Definitely recommend hitting this place up!

Edit - over a year later:Still a fantastic place to grab some delicious food and chill! I changed it up and had the King’s King sandwich and my husband got the Turkey A and just - WOW! So good! Finished it off with some Llama Bomb coffee and enjoyed the music while we waited out the rain. Food was excellent, decor and atmosphere was chill and warming (yes, both at the same time), and service was fantastic. Sandwiches were great but not all topping items were on the list online. I would have omitted the olives if i knew they were on there. Very large sandwich. Good deal. You get your own drinks from the fridge. Not an issue but i ordered a chouce and paid that later i couldnt find. Staff were nice and also masked. Plexi shields hanging at counter. Most customers were NOT masked. I was and one other, but 4 were not. Its an old gas station that needs updates both in and out. Kitchen looks like a home kitchen instead of restaurant style which concerned me. All in all, dont expect ambiance. Go for the food or carry out. Better than the big box style sandwich shops.

Awesome is not a strong enough word to describe how impressed I am. I have not been this impressed in a long time. I was WOWED from the quality of the food, large portions, customer service from everyone, especially Kat. They now have a customer for life!Thank you Deli Llama!!

Food was uniquely delicious, however customized orders are discouraged if not flat out denied. The menu options were enticing and wonderfully endulgent. Veggie options available. The decor and outside seating felt deliberately cool and offbeat, but casually gormet. Environmental and pandemic conscious supplies.Service is timely, friendly and accommodating. They made us a chocolate milk, not on the menu, for my 8yr old. Thou would not recommend bringing younger children... The orders are big and most things are as is. The busy road and the difficult parking lot are kinda annoying too. Strong and sweet Cold Coffee, yum. Bagel had a bunch of cream cheese, drool. Toasted hogie roll crunch, perfect. Fresh avacado spread, heavenly.

I didnt care for it. I had a salad that was small and made up of arugula with a small scoop of curried turkey. My friends had sandwiches that were large and looked good. Place is very small with some outdoor seating. Would go back to try a sandwich

I found this place online and it’s my new favorite place! I LOVE it! I got an iced mocha with oat milk and the avocado toast. It was AMAZING. Definitely a hidden treasure in Tavares.

Where to begin..food was amazing, fresh and tasty. Coffe was really good and its a great retro atmosphere feeling. The concept its wonderful and they have a good selection of beers as well. For whatever mood you are its perfect. Relax get a coffe and chill or beer and food or all of it!!! Definitely will be back.

Very disappointed. I placed a curbside order online @ 12:03. My confirmation email said 20 - 30 minutes. I called when I got there at 12:19 p.m. told the lady I was already outside. She said she would see if my order was ready and bring it out. I called back at 12:37 p.m. and was told that I still needed to pay and they were to busy to deal with curbside. I had paid for my order online. She then asked me about the wrong order. She finally brought me my food at 12:43 (which would have been fine) & told me that if Id noticed online it says a 30 minute wait. While I was trying to speak she interrupted me & started walking off. I said excuse me I was speaking & started to ask for her manager when she interrupted me again to tell me that I was rude. I said dont worry about it & that I was never going to come back.

Have driven by a couple times and finally went for lunch with co-workers. The spot is an old corner gas station and they use the gas station beverage coolers to hold a variety of drinks (sodas, teas, beers). The place has a kinda retro feel, ample inside seating a small lounge area, and a couple tables/counters outside. Staff is super friendly. They make coffees and sandwiches, and a variety of other other things. Sandwiches are big and delicious. Between my group we had As turkey, Hot Mess, the Cuban, and a humus plate. Everything was delicious. The sandwiches are a bit on the expensive side (~$9), but you wont leave leave hungry. They have some old school games (rock em sockem robot and more) to play which, and have art fairs and lounge nights. Definitely a cool place to check out in you are in the area.

This place is AWESOME. Meat and cheese board was hands down the best ever. Great beer selection. Chef came over to our table to discuss the selection of cheese and meat. It is great when people have a passion for what they do. Just a great place!

Excellent sandwiches and offerings that are outside of the box of anything you can find around here. All this inside a cozy atmosphere reminiscent of coffee shops and hangouts we all remember. If you desire that one thing you cannot find anywhere else I suggest you pay a visit here. Quality homemade ingredients make for a culinary experience rivaled by none in this area. Excellent selection of beer too 🍻

Stopped by for the first time today. Well go again. I had the Llama Cuban, made with their house made pulled pork. It was pretty amazing. Cool atmosphere, good food, a huge selection of drinks, including beer and wine, and awesome service with a smile! Check them out!

Had the MOST AMAZING sandwiches ever. We had the Llama Cuban and the As Turkey. Michelle and ALL the staff were great. The IPAs on tap were delicious, heady with grapefruit undertones. For dessert the Llama Bomb with a double shot bc Michelle Morin-Williams knows I roll that way. Lol.If you are in Tavares or just visiting do NOT miss this quaint and gastronomic delight.

This is my third time coming here since my wife discovered it. I love it. The owners are very friendly and welcoming and their food is delicious. I actually bought 2 sandwhices back to back cause they are so good. Their coffee was great too. They do trivia nights too and those are a lot of fun!Great atmosphere and very unique!

I just tried this exquisite restaurant for the first time today and had a wonderful time, the Deli Llama has an amazing choice of beers brewed here in Florida as well as the well portioned meats and cheeses in their sandwiches, the staff was very friendly and professional, Michelle has truly outdone herself in this superb restaurant, Ill be sure to recommend my friends and family as well as I would anyone else, I cant wait to come back!

Wow! It is better than we anticipated. We could not wait to try this place. The hummus appetizers was so good with pita, celery and carrots. I had the Italian panini and it was so good i forgot to get a pic.

I took my girlfriend and mother here for lunch. Wonderful staff and great food. We all had different paninis and we loved all of them. They also have a beer and wine selection that is accommodating.
