Okay, so weve all had our challenges with car/van service centers, so I went into this place a little on guard.WOW! From the first hello, can we help you to thank you for coming in we appreciate your business the experience was a pleasure.The work was completed ahead of time and the vehicle return clean.Surprisingly the bill was MUCH lower than expected.A total positive experience all around.

I was charged $350 for work they never did on a Ball joint, Tie rod and axle seal job. They did not do the axle seals and yet they charged me for that part of the job. If I had not inspected their work and gone back and demanded explanation and a refund. I simply would have overpaid by $350. They did make this right and refunded me for the work and parts not done. However the failure of the mechanic to tell the office that he did not do all the work on the bill, them charging me for the full work order and for parts and labor not done is one step from stealing from me. I will not go back to them for mechanical work at this point.

Wow, We can’t speak highly enough about this business. Picked up a nail on our way out of town and they got us in immediately, helped us get our rig in position, had 4 tires for our rig in stock (for a very reasonable price), AND had us back on the road in less than an hour. Most friendly employees and staff. Thank y’all for keeping us safe!

Got there at a good time. First come first serve. No one ahead of me. In and out in less than an hour with four new tires. Nice people working there. Seven cars arrived while I was there. People just getting off work. I was lucky.

Please do your self a favor and buy your tires from either Garcia Tire or Silva’s if you are buying tires in Taos.The General Manager at the Point S location in Taos is unable to organize his orders and staff for the day so his appointments and customer service are lack luster at best.Upon entering his office and facility you see dingy uniforms and piles of junk everywhere which is the first red flag for any mechanics shop.Due to his disorganized facility his staff is unable to work efficiently and provide quality customer service to his clients.When he is alerted to the lack of customer care regarding scheduled appointments he will hold your purchase hostage when you decide to take your business elsewhere.The general manager here does not deserve your hard earned money and neither does Point S.Local tire shops like Garcia Tire and Silva’s bend over backwards for your business and deserve to be our first choice here in Taos and Northern New Mexico.

These folks took care of me on Friday the 13th. Brought my overheated car in at 8am and they had me on the road by 4pm. Much gratitude to the mechanics who gave me options and came through with the work. Arrived safely back in Texas 12 hours later!

Amazing service. We had a squeal in our front wheel on a road trip, and they got us in immediately without notice to check things out. They did not charge us either. Very friendly and very capable. Highly recommend.

Would give it 5 stars but I asked for a quote on tires. When I was told they were in stock, I decided to go the next day and gave them installed. When I got to store, I was told my tires werent at store yet. I ended up going with a different brand of tire. Shouldnt tell customers that a certain brand of tire is in stock and then not be any there when the customer shows up. Other than that, the young lady that helped me was very nice.

The folks at Point S tires are the best! They diagnosed and fixed a problem with my Honda Fit that other mechanics weren’t able to resolve. And when the alternator went out on my Ford F-150, they fixed it in only 2 hours! I was stranded and didn’t have an appointment, and they got me on my way in no time. They explain everything they are doing, and they do great work.

Quick oil change, with a busy Monday this took 40 minutes, not bad considering the amount of people they were dealing with. Crystal, my service adviser, was calm and smooth.

Avoid this shop. I took a van in for rear brake pads. Without asking they replaced both rotors and charged me over $630. They will make you wait weeks to get in for repairs, not communicate, and overcharge.

Had a brake malfunction that caused my E-brake light to go off. I had them do my rear brakes 2 months prior so I called them up and took my truck in 10 minutes later. Turns out a piece of equipment had failed (no fault on their behalf) and had destroyed the brake shoe and some other hardware for that wheel. They were able to get it fixed in a couple of hours, despite being Very busy with other appointments for the day and only charged me for the replacement parts and not the labor to do the repair. Absolutely pleased by this customer service, specifically Jared.

Ive been going here since it was Big-O and Taos Tire Factory, same owners since back then. Ive bought a lot of tires here, and they have a good selection at reasonable prices, with knowledgeable, long-term staff. This past time I went with a strange problem and my own parts - and they dont usually install owner-supplied parts. But they did this time, and when it failed again in two days they fixed it again without charge. Overall a great place to have work done, with a grocery store next door so you can eat while you wait.

They do more than tires. Fixed a bunch of little things at a fair price and quickly. Great customer service, especially James.

This shop is run by a father and son. Dad will sell you tires while his son fixes your car at a good price with duct tape and spit...until you come back. They will convince you to spend more money on anything they can get from you you... snake oil salesmen. buyer beware of this store...

Came in to rotate tires. Only did what I asked & did not try to sell me anything else. I was in & out in 15 minutes. Checked the pressure in my tires & reset vehicle pressure guage. Charged me $15. Friendly staff. Very satisfied.

Professional and competent installs. Quickest service in the area. BUT...There are always hidden charges and extra costs. Ive bought a couple of sets of tires from these folks and each time the final charge comes in OVER $100 above the original quoted price.Watch them like a hawk.

Over the last 3-4 years, Ive been here on five occasions when my Subaru specialist was MIA....little things like oil changes, tire issues, air conditioner recharging.Each and every time they were fast, efficient and reasonably priced.If you are Covid conscious, they let you drive into the bay yourself.I honestly cant think off anything negative to say.Its been all good.A special shout out to the manager that seems to keep it all together, both with customers and staff.Top notch.Im sorry to say I forgot his name, but hes been there every time Ive entered... caucasian, shaved head. He deserves his name being remembered.My bad.

Check-Engine light came on during a weekend visit. The Service Manager checked it out, told me he couldnt fix it immediately, but gave me expert advice on the problem and what it meant for getting back home. And he didnt charge me for the diagnostic. That allowed me to get back home and not be stranded in Taos, so these guys helped me when there didnt seem to be help anywhere.

The mechanics that serviced the leak and patch on my tire were great. However the guys inside just dont seem to care. I was told the service would be 30-45 min which I was happy to wait for. Coming up on an hour and a half I went to ask the person at the front desk for a new estimate. I assume he was the manager based on his clothes being different than everyone else. I told him Can I get a new time estimate because Ill need to let my job know I might be a bit late. Without looking up from his cell phone he told me oh its probably done. We went outside and the wheel/tire did not have the work order ticket that was filled out when I dropped it off and I had to point it out. He had me roll it inside to pay for it and then to my vehicle. This was a tire I took off another vehicle and brought in in a different one, so the offer to install it back on wasnt helpful in this situation. I would have appreciated a sorry for not telling me when it was done or a hand moving it to my car, oh well. The price was $20 which is a very fair price for the work though.

Unfortunately, it’s another Taos business that offers hours that do not serve the community. 8-5 M-F only and they don’t take appointments for any tire work.

Had my tires rotated here and had one with a slow leak repaired. Staff not overly friendly, but polite. Got the job done quickly. Tire repair is on a first- come, first-serve basis ( no appointments available), so I arrived early in the morning before things got too busy.

Fantastic staff and service. Got a phone quote and came in for 4 new tires. Was in & out in less than an hour....and old Star Trek was playing in the lobby! Fair prices too! Highly recommended!!

Great set of falken at3s........ Rad. Retract that statement. I took my Xterra in for a tune up where they broke my windshield and knocked loose my tcm cord which melted and ruined it. They replaced the windshield and I am going to eat the damaged tcm cord. Long story short when I took her back to have them rebuild my front end and they said that they will longer work on my vehicle. Horrible ethics and lack of responsibility. I highly recommend Taos Off Road Performance!

This corporate tire shop doesnt belong in Taos. Every time Ive gone here as opposed to the local tire shops they have tried to tell me I need to replace the most expensive components of my suspension system and upon getting a second opinion have been wrong. They are not only rude, but treat the employees bad and another time I went put wrong size tires on. New comers and tourists please dont be afraid of our local independently owned tire shops-- Silvas and Garcia tire do an excellent job each time!

They are always so patient with me when I dont have enough money to fix things with my car.I was almost 30 minutes late to my appointment because my car wouldnt turn on and they still accepted me no problem! They call you before they do something you havent agreed on, which is AMAZING since Ive had problems in the past with mechanics doing things without my permission.They always explain everything they do and how my car works with great detail and it helps out a lot as Im only an 19 year old student. SUPER friendly, I will only take my car here from now on! Ive tried three other mechanics here in Taos, and none if them matched how good Point S is!!

Needed a patch in a tire and it was the fastest service I have received. They got me back on the road in a pinch. Helpful staff made it easy. Reasonable prices as well.

We as a family use them for all of our tire needs. They have always gone out of their way to accommodate us. They’re honest, reliable, and everyone we’ve worked with has been so kind and helpful! Ken and Jose especially.

Great price on my Continental tires! For comparison I checked Tire Rack and Point S was the same if you factor in shipping. Wouldnt consider Tire Rack anyway since I prefer to support local businesses, but great to know the pricing matches. Great service, friendly and knowledgeable staff. Thanks to everyone at Taos Point S Tire and Auto! I picked up a nail while camping. I drove in and they got the tire patched right away! Everyone was so very professional and nice.

We are from out of town and had a flat while sightseeing on a nearby mountain. When we got to their shop, there was less than 2 hours until closing and their shop was crowded. They repaired our tire before closing. They were very helpful and did an excellent job. We highly recommend this business.

Great service! These guys went above and beyond to make sure our truck was road ready. They went out of their way for us while getting oil changed, yet they apologized 3 times for the wait. And it wasn’t even that long of a wait!

So far the service is good... But the customer service in the front as horrible! How about this for a mishap; I paid for my tires the person that wrote the receipt of placed a different name at the top that did not match my debit card on the bottom on the same page and they forgot to order my tires I had to call a week later and remind them. After I had been through all this, I was still courteous and respectful when asking what was going on.... all I got back was sarcasm on the phone and attitude even when I showed up..... Dont know why businesses dont know how to talk to people... its crazy... Actually found out dude was just having a badd day wasnt as serious as I initially imagined and they made up for the past and fixed my tire later for free I was also told I have a warranty with them and can get it fixed for free for pretty much ever...lol..Will be going back here, their pricing is very fair and they do a good job!!

DECEPTIVE ADVERTISING, BEWARE!!! I asked them how much their oil change was and they said $39.99 so I said go ahead. They don’t mention that they add “labor” for $15. Final bill: $56. I will NEVER go to them for ANYTHING!!! They are cheats!!

I have spent money here buying tires. I came to get a flat fixed and when I returned home I found a new dent in my door and a huge grease stain in my carpet. Desrepectful I will never come back to these people!

Dont waste your time at this shop. I ordered tires and was told theyd be in the next morning. They were the wrong ones and no one bothered to check them before calling to let me know theyd arrived. I was told the right ones would be in the following morning. I waited for hours and no one called to say that they sent the wrong ones AGAIN. I said I would take the tires they had in stock at the price I was quoted and was told ok over the phone. When I arrived I was denied. No apology or compensation of any kind was offered for the complete waste of 2 days of my time. I went to Silvas and was out the door in half an hour.

Friendly, great service. They also do walk-in oil changes, as well as tire services. If you buy your tires from them, they balance them and service them for free.

I purchased my tires several months ago. Today I brought one in with a puncture. I was astonished when I was told, No charge. Service is outstanding.

This place was a godsend on our recent trip to Taos. They helped us with a horrible screeching noise our car was making in the middle of a road trip. We had a major blowout in our AWD Subi Outback on our way into Taos through the mountain route. After getting the spare on we headed here to see what they could do for us. They could have easily sold us an entire set of tires but instead told us they had a used tire, same brand and wear, as the other three. We were out of the shop and back to our vacation within an hour and only out $50. I was very impressed with their honesty and sevices. Thanks Taos Tire Factory!
