Asked to transfer an existing order from another Walgreens and was told it would take 3 or 4 days before I could pick it up. I have actually sat at a Walgreens to do the exact transfer which took minutes. Hold times for the Taos Walgreens is averaging 15 minutes regardless of time of day.Either severely under staffed or under managed.

Only giving vaccines for 4 hrs a day. Not all of us have plenty of time to be somewhere at a certain time. For those who do, you MUST be there between 11am and 1pm or 3pm to 5pm. Must be nice to work 4 hrs a day with a two hour break.

Friendly employees who are always willing to help customers find things or answer their questions. They also have a fairly good selection of many items and they carry not only medicines and healthcare products but everything from pet food, dog and cat, to stationary, writing paper, pens, markers, push pins, scotch tape, and more. They even sell some clothing items, like t-shirts for men and women, socks, sweaters, gloves; Very nice personal care section with shampoos, including the more expensive brands and the discount priced brands also. The Walgreens has a decent selection of body wash brands, toothbrushes and dental care, for the ladies out there This Walgreens carries what seems to be an above average selection of make-up, nail polish, lipsticks and this store also has a separate area for perfumes, colognes and such. The Walgreens in Taos also features a photo center to develop film and at the photo center customers can order special items such as big posters, calenders etc. Also, the Walgreens here has a liquor section and greeting card sections. All around its a nice and convenient store, they keep it clean and prices are reasonable, although only slightly higher than the bigger stores however you can shop and less waifing in line to pay. This being A Walgreens Drug Store they do have a full service Professional Pharmacy for locals and tourists who might need an emergency refill because they might have lost their prescription for example or run out of their medicines.

Ok had what I needed

Go here for my prescriptions, because they Do have a drive through.There is always a line at pharmacy drive through & 4-5 employees behind counter.I went inside today due to car line.No customers in line but me, went to express pick up window.Every employee looked at me with out greeting me, two employees walked by window w/o greeting than the 3rd employee asked me if I needed help as he started to walk by..I felt Lost!!.🤯 I had to check sign on window to make sure I was waiting at express pick up!Customer service needs some serious help

Pharmacy is slower than any other pharmacy Ive ever been too. We waited a hour and a half in the drive through line.There was constantly a line as long as the area could fit and at least 10 cars left their place in line. The lady in front of us spent as much time as we did waiting in line and when she got to the window she waited for at least 15 minutes just to leave without dropping anything off or picking anything up. My girlfriend went inside to see what the hold up was and they had a line of 3 people. All of which they helped before even looking at the drive through window. Being that we are in the middle of a world wide pandemic drive through should be their priority. They shouldput care into having a speedy process.

The pharmacy is wildly slow. The drive-thru pharmacy is somehow even slower. I’ve been waiting at the drive-thru pharmacy for forty minutes now on a Tuesday afternoon. The line is not moving. This is some nonsense.

Wouldnt it be great if Walgreens actually put proper staffing in their pharmacy? The pharmacy carries the store, but you leave it understaffed. When you actually get a pharmacist its like talking to a robot. I miss the days of the small pharmacy and someone that actually cares.

I have always used Walgreens for purchases in-store and online. I recently ordered 50 photo books that I was assured would be done in three to five days. I called over and over and the photo manager stated that it takes about 2 hours per book to make, plus page printing time. I was willing to wait, but calling to check up on the order every other day, hoping to at least receive half of it, I was told that the photo manager wanted to call me to make sure it was a legitimate order. This was four days after I made the initial order. Two days later, I went into the store to check up on the order, and not a single book could be found. Loose pages were the only items that were found. My supervisor went into the store the next morning to check on the order, not knowing I had already visited the store. He called me stating that they again were wanting to call me to find out if the order was legitimate. Again, the photo dept could not locate any completed books, just the photos. This was a $1200.00 order that was stopped and cancelled immediately after a two week hassle.I was able to order the books in a different Walgreens, all 50 of them completed within four days.

Theres like five workers in the floor. No regesters open except in liquor department. Why? Lots of times liquor department not even open.

Not crowded,friendly staff

While this Walgreens has had it rough in years past, I have seen a huge change over the last few months.There is a new store manager, a new pharmacy manager, and all new staff in the front end and in the pharmacy.Wait times in the pharmacy are virtually nothing compared to what they used to be. They answer phones right away now, they are friendly and helpful in all the right ways.Truly a 180 degree turnaround for this store, and I’m happy to be able to enjoy going here once again!

Perfect place to get your last minute Ski essentials! They have a FULL Liquor Store, and your typical Walgreens selection of snacks. Quick and convenient and so much cheaper than buying at the hotel or ski hill.

Ive always found the pharmacy staff in Taos to be very pleasant. Sometimes there can be a longer wait than usual, but that can be true of any pharmacy. After all, patience, builds character.

Probably has almost everything that you need and dont need.

Abigail was very kind and sympathetic. Dropping off and picking up took less than 30 minutes during very busy holiday season. I was very pleased for their service.

Would give them a zero if that were an option. Prescriptions not ready when promised and have to wait for 30 minutes minimum to find that out. Forget calling, they never answer. Ive seen seven people in the pharmacy area with only 2 helping customers as line gets longer and longer. Will definitely find another option.

Their manners have not been lacking on my visits. I had also requested that they keep my brand name medicine on hand and so far they are managing to keep it reliably in stock far better than the Walgreens in my former large metropolitan area did.If it werent for their mistakes in filling prescriptions, they would be a four or five star group. But they have made some errors and recently refilled an antibiotic prescription without available refills or even a request to do so - not sure how that happened. They straightened it out when I showed up for another prescription (always look at what they are about to sell you before they ring it up!). So due to their errors it sometimes takes more time than I would prefer before I can head out the door with what I stopped for. If they want to improve, fewer errors in reading the patient scrip records and in filling the prescriptions would be whats needed.Their hold times when I call are pretty long; I would agree they are short staffed.But in my experience the pharmacy staff is always very polite, and they do make every effort to straighten things out right away. The line is often long, but since they have three service windows going at a time (when I am there), the line tends to move pretty quickly. I appreciate their warm courtesy very much; it is one of those lovely Taoseno qualities you might not appreciate unless you have lived elsewhere.

If I could I would give this place 0 stars. This Walgreens is the shame of all Walgreens because the employees here are very incompetent. I have always chose to go to a Walgreens over any other Pharmacy all my life until I moved to this town. And to top it off, theyre the only Walgreens here considering that is a small town. I have decided to take my business to the next best thing which is the Smiths pharmacy where they provide a great service each time even though I have to get out of my car, I rather do that than deal with this Walgreens.

Its a convenient store that always seems to have what Im looking for. Ive seen good prices on the liquor side as well.

Ive always recieved friendly and helpful service. Today Im utilizing the Photo and Tech department and Marcos was professional and friendly.

You are kept waiting FOREVER!!!! Song will put you to sleep. Finally after the long wait!! Was told Id get a call the next day for my sons needed vaccination. Never got a call I had to call them, then was told They didnt have it. Granted this is extremely important! My son could get very sick without it, but thats not their concern. Its not like they are in the business selling medications! Oh wait! Its a pharmacy!! (Sarcasm)

Always got wat I need

Having faced difficulties with another pharmacy in Taos, we transferred our prescriptions to Walgreens. We could not be more pleased.The customer service surpassed that of the former pharmacy and we didnt have to feel as though the pharmacist was doing us a favor by filling our prescriptions.Customer was outstanding and our prescriptions were ready in an hour. There was no line, no waits and everything ran like clockwork. Walgreens in Taos is now our pharmacy of choice.

Slow, uncaring, rude pharmacy staff and the medications tend to be higher priced than other pharmacies in town. Wanted $186 for a script I can get for $46 elsewhere.

Employees are very helpful. Kudos to them. But, they are short staffed all the time, it seems, especially in Pharmacy. They provide a lot of services from filling prescriptions to sorting out and counseling patients on every type of issues that can come up with the medications to insurance coverage problems. PLEASE HIRE MORE PEOPLE!

Echoing the same message as previous reviewers... slow, incompetent, poor communication, etc. Prescription wasnt ready, said we will have it in 15 min. Over an hour passed and still not ready. Im writing this review as I continue to wait. I work in the Operations Management profession and the way this store is run is pathetic. The general manager should be fired immediately. They just dont care... simple as that. How Walgreens corporate can continue to let this store operate in its present state is beyond me... it just continues to drag their otherwise good name/brand through the mud.

Horrible service. Crew has NO TRAINING surprised they could count back change. Managers and crew hide from customers, no hi, no smile, no politeness, prescriptions are never ready, unorganized staff. Needs new GM!!! NOW! WE AS CUSTOMERS DEMAND IT!!

DO NOT use their Fedex Drop off. Package went missing after I dropped it off there. Now a lost/stolen package case will have to be opened because of their poor Fedex location.

The worst service ever.. no care.. no kindness. They make you wait forever. One time I was having an asthmatic reaction. I literally could not breathe and they would not give me the medication-- that I had to wait even though the other person in line said I could go ahead - thankfully a friend had something that helped me so I could breathe... Slow and I wish that the old Taos Pharmacy was still open..

Do not use their pharmacy! They dont answer the phone and when they do, they hang up without saying anything. I got hung up on 4x today trying to get a prescription issue resolved over the course of an hour!

Unbelievably bad service. No one has their act together here. I always have to wait for someone to actually do their job no matter if its getting a prescription, photos, or simply tending to the register.

Very understaffed. Called an order in for a client. Was on hold a total of 9 minutes and 5 different people picked up. Client called a couple of days later and said they had no record of us calling in prescription. No sense of urgency or customer care.

The pharmacy is horrible!! Its not because employees dont try; I believe that it is not managed well and they are short staffed. The wait to get your medications is really ridiculous. When I finally do get my medications, they are correct, but the wait is really too much; and forget trying to get anyone on the phone; the hold times are another story.

Horrible service and low competency to fill a simple generic. Send prescriptions to Walmart Pharmacy down the road instead. Avoid this place.

Okay for one they never Answer the phone. Takes at least 2 hours if not more to fill your prescriptions. If you dont mind waiting ok. But if you are driving or from out of town go to Albertsons. Slowest pharmacy I have been to. Staff can be rude and ignore you. I waited at the drive thru window for exactly 20 minutes before the girl came over. Rude!

An example of a failing business. I really do not recommend this pharmacy. Their staff is so incompetent and slow.I was visiting for the weekend in Taos and I needed some meds. They said to come back at 4 pm. When we went back, we found out that the medication will not be ready till Monday.I wasted time dropping off and waiting for an answer. the lines are very long in side the store and in the drive through.Please have all your meds ready prior to your trip to Taos.

7 years been experiencing Taos NM Walgreens & things havent changed. If u put a prescription order with the Wallgreen app, it acknowledges the script & pick up time but youll never get the typical ready notification when filled & it might not ever get filled because most of the time they force you to be there (Im 1 hr away) & then wait for them to fill the prescription because theyre never timely on refills unlike many other Walgreens pharmacies. All one has to do is review many other reviews & you can see the majority is complaints of poor service. Evidently Corporate Walgreens doesnt really care how their individual stores are operating as long as they occupy Toas real estate space. Only other competition is Walmart. The Walgreens store manager encouraged me to call him if issues ....so after todays refill designated time of 2pm (its now 6:35p) no notice recieved, tried calling pharmacy.... indefinite hold.... then decided to call again & ask the store Mgr Rick.... lady answered & said Rick should be in & put me on hold ..... then a while later my call musta stirred up ringing & a young baby just old enough to talk answered my holding call .... fascinating talking to the baby girl who said she was in the photo dept, I asked if anyone else (parent) was there & she said yes .... put me on hold then tried answering again like a grown up wanting to play business for Walgreens. I guess its nice Walgreens management allows children to accompany their parents to work in Taos NM... but Im pretty sure Management is not hoping to remedy their 7 year lacking administration by allowing underage children ....not having to pay them for trying to help. You know it must be bad when Taos Walgreens uses their employees children to answer the stores phones. Called Corp to advise status. Corp staff doesnt care either.... mentioned to the nice gentleman that if he ever gets a chance to read Toas NM customers reviews, hell know what most customers feel of Taos pharmacy services. I mentioned its been obvious Walgreens Corp doesnt care because its been consistently poor as long as Ive been in NM for 7 years. Get this... I asked the Corp rep if he uses Walgreens pharmacy important being familiar with Walgreens routine & the man said he uses Walmart. Guess I should take the hint? The only people that really care are the customers who need to utilize Walgreens having primary residence in another state with BEST pharmacy service, just not Toas, NM. Truly inept pharmacy staff. Just moved here and used walgreens because I was already in the system.Near impossible to reach by phone, always on hold at least 30 minutes and often they hang up without warning.The email and texting refill services have never worked (funny cause they work at every other walgreens).In person it seems like there are lots of unexplained delays. After driving up to the window, giving my info, the woman gets my rx, has it in her hand. Asks my address, I tell her, she confirms its right, then says hold on and walks away for ten minutes. Comes back days hold on then hands me the package. This is a prescription I get every month, no delays anywhere else but here its commonplace.Another time I had to get an antibiotic filled, i called and they told me itd be ready in an hour. I go to pick it up and they say they couldnt fill the prescription because the system wasnt working. They couldnt give me a time estimate for when itd be working again or when I should come back. I call my Dr to ask whats going on, if theres an issue with the rx. She calls and then calls me back saying they told her my insurance wasnt going through- for a 12 dollar generic. Not the story they told me. They just daid they couldnt fill it without any explanation. Ridiculous considering I was sick with an infection that was getting worse the longer I waited to treat it. And if its a matter of $12 versus my copay, yes please just give me a choice to pay cash rather than keep me waiting indefinitely. Especially when I drive myself out there and Im sick with a fever.Next prescription I get Ill be going somewhere else.
