Please read lowest reviews they are from real people and not a paid reviews service!Even the responses from the owner Robert are bogus, so if you see a reply to this review its bogus(paid for).Robert scams small companys so he doesnt have to deal with small claims court. Avoid this rental company.Find a more reputable company with integrity. I will post on all social media outlets to save heartache and money.

I’m a fleet manager of a large landscaping company locally and we do all repairs in house. We have several lifts in our inventory. Nifty has been a pain in my side. Without Rentalex and Randy in the service and parts department I would be in deep s**t. Every time parts are accurate and on time. You can’t ask for better service. When needing equipment solutions Rentalex is the answer.

If you enjoy the equipment you rent not working or being ready on time for pick up than this place is for you! I will say after the many issues we had renting a stump grinder, we were able to return the next day to pick up a different machine at no additional fee. Not the optimal solution but an effort was made.

I spoke to a nice guy Mason, while a bit in a frantic, and he was both kind and patient. We were in a bind and I needed a 12 wood chipper fast. They had one available, but my crew leader called while on the phone to say.............. it was just too late in the day. (with it getting dark so early, it really limits us to working later this time of the year.)We will definitely keep them in mind for future projects. Thanks, Mason!

Last weekend I rented a Husqvarna PG-280 from these guys to strip paint off a garage floor. The machine did not work at all. First, I had to pass over each area of the garage floor a minimum of 4 times, and even after doing so, the results were very poor. At most, 50% of the surface area was stripped. See pictures - the lighter areas are where the paint was stripped off and the darker areas are the gray paint which was left behind by the machine. Keep in mind, were talking about paint here - not deeply embedded grease, not epoxy...just paint. Yet, the machine, even after 4 passes over the same area, produce very spotty results. Additionally, the vacuum port on the machine does not work at all. I used a 20 gal commercial shop vac with great suction and attached it to the vacuum port on the machine, but the same amount of dust was generated whether I had the shop vac attached or not. This particular problem seems to be a product design flaw. My very small garage, which was supposed to take 1 to 1-1/2 hours to do took almost 5 hours, the amount of dust generated was incredible, and the results were terrible. To add insult to injury, the customer service at Rentalex was very poor and the staff showed no interest in making the situation right. Both of the guys I spoke with were very nice and polite, but neither one was willing to refund any of the $250 (yes, you read that right) that they charged me for a machine that didnt do anything it was supposed to do. I would never rent another piece of Husqvarna floor equipment again, and unfortunately, despite the fact that they are conveniently located for me, I would think long and hard before I rent from Rentalex again. Overall, a very frustrating and disappointing experience!

Rented a Scissor Lift for exterior painting. Was able to determine which product I needed on website, called and spoke with Anthony who was both knowledgeable and helpful. Lift was delivered on time and driver ensured we knew how to use and provided some helpful tips before leaving. Lift met our needs and was picked up shortly after we called letting them know we were done.Will definitely call Anthony at Rentalex next time we need one of their many available products.

Tried to rent a tandem wheel hydraulic lift trailer.Rear set of wheels had been seriously overloaded, and the rear axle was visibly bent.Trailer was not even close to being safe to operate with the rated load.Switched to a tandem tilt trailer.Left fender top was missing. License plate light missing wires (night operation).Employee could not get hitch coupler to function, Unable to hook up trailer.ALL the Rentalex trailers in the yard were unmaintained junk.Left Rentalex, and went to Sunbelt Equipment Rentals.

Very Kool people over there. With great prices. Took care of what I needed efficiently and also hooked me up because it was my birthday. Customer Service was on point. Plus they got good candy in the waiting room. Will definitely​ be using their business in the future and will recommend for others.

I had a sheet rock issue, over my pool that is indoors, went to rentalex to rent a scaffold to reach the ceiling to repair it, explained my issues in detail, he rented me around 200.00 in scaffold, couldnt use any of it because if wouldnt reach across the pool,plus didnt receive everything to put the scaffold together, sended him pictures of the application, and he even replied YES that wont work, took it back the next day, and he Still charged me the full price, knowing that I couldnt use what he HE PICKED AND SAID I NEEDED, for the repair. NOT A GOOD SALESMAN.

I came to Tampa from Indiana to help my Daughter and son-in-law do some work on their newly purchased home in Carrollwood this past week. The entire staff at rentalex was really great to work with over the next few days with a high lift and trailer. I had an issue with a piece of wood doing a 3 pt landing and eventually hitting the lift hood causing some damage, obviously I felt really bad. Bob the owner was very understanding and has bent over backwards and gone above and beyond to help us through the process. I would also like to say that Sandy is a fantastic guy and does an awesome job from the clients standpoint being very helpful, kind and good at explaining the operation of the equipment. Funny thing is I have rented light duty and heavy duty equipment over the years up to and including 70,000 lb excavators from multiple locations over the years and Rentalex of Tampa is one of the best Rental groups I have used and one I would highly recommend.Sincerely, Phil Tom (Sept 2019)

Scammers. Told them equipment broke down and they said, OK bring it in tomorrow morning because we have no mechanics right now, and when I brought it in they acted like that never happened and they didnt give me any type of refund at all. They guys working there even said when they were taking it off the Trailor that their tired of working on this piece of *crap*, and it breaks every time they send it out. We literally had to push their nifty50 on the Trailor with four guys, including the guy in the bucket, and it barely made it on. They stole my $525.

The owner of this place is rude and needs to Learn customer service and run and operation there is always problems with this place. Equipment brakes and always the run around when it comes to making it right then tells me how to run my loads and what my truck can pull. You can pull this with that truck oh really becuase I have rented the Equioment before and Ran it with the same truck and trailer. After having me drive all the way from Saint Pete in bumper to bumper traffic And now on the way back....
