When done, I hooked everything up and discovered a great sounding system. All the problems had been resolved. I would like to thank Dan the technician, Steve, the manager and especially Mike the owner who went over and beyond to make this old man a satisfied customer and at a reasonable price as well. I brought my Marshall TSL 100 in for repair to be retubed and biased on 2/25/2021. I was warned that they were pretty backed up and it could be at least 30 days before someone could even look at it. I agreed to leave it and pay the $60 deposit toward diagnosing and repair. I let 43 days go by before calling to check on the status. I spoke with one of the techs who told me it had not been looked at yet, but that he would try to get it on the bench by that weekend and he would call to let me know the status.I let another month go by with no word from them and I called again on 5/13/2021. I spoke with the guy at the front desk. He stated that it did not look like anyone had touched it yet. He admitted that this was unacceptable, and he’d make sure someone got on it and that someone would contact me soon.Well, no one had contacted me by 6/7/2021, so I called back. I spoke with a technician who stated he would get it on the bench and get me an estimate that afternoon. He ended up calling back with the estimate, but he discovered during the diagnosis that the effects loop jacks were damaged. So if I wanted him to replace those when he did the retubing they would need to order the parts. Ok fine, they’d already had my amp for 3 months at this point. What’s another week or so to wait for the parts to come in?So on 6/18/2021, when I hadn’t heard anything I called and spoke with the guy at the front desk. He stated that the parts had not come in yet. I asked that someone contact me to let me know when the parts arrive.I waited 3 more weeks without hearing anything before I called again last Friday (7/9/2021) and spoke with a technician who stated the jacks had come in (someone was supposed to call when the part arrived), and now he just needed to devote the time to install them. He said he would try to get to it that afternoon or maybe even then next day, Saturday. Unsurprisingly, I never heard back.Today is 7/16/2021. I called again at noon and spoke to the guy at the front desk. He stated that he needed to speak to the service manager before he could advise me, but that he believed they were on the verge of completing the repair. However, the service manager was busy at the moment. So I asked to have him contact me before the end of the day. Lo and behold, 5:00 came and went and I never heard a word.I am beyond frustrated. I feel like I am either being lied to every time I call, or at least not getting the whole story. Did something go wrong with the repair and now they are stalling me to cover their behinds? Why would it take this long?! And why do I have to be the one to keep initiating contact? Shouldn’t they be keeping me advised on the status of my repair? I have been extremely patient, but this is ridiculous. I have another guitar amp that needs repair, but I will consider driving to Orlando before taking it here even though I live minutes away.

This is the only place to consider when you have failed electronics...period. I took my Yamaha DX7 for repairs and although I knew from the start it was un repairable Mike (the owner) and his tech were able to give me options. Mike was incredibly professional and obviously very enthusiastic (and knowledgeable) about electronics. Mike went out of his way to treat me and advice me like I was more than a customer. I had a long conversation with Mike about synthesizers (my favorite subject) and I was very impressed with his knowledge of such. Mike is definitely not about making money but about treating customer’s need. As far as I am concerned he has a customer for Life...😃

If you have vintage audio gear, this place is probably the best in Central Florida. I drive here from Orlando to bring my 1970s vintage Marantz components for service. They pride themselves on ensuring your equipment is as it should be. If its not right, they will make it right. It is getting harder to find folks with the knowledge to keep old gear sounding good in this day of disposable electronics. Upon entering the shop, youll see a multitude of brands and types of vintage gear. They are an authorized repair center for McIntosh, and their knowledge reflects it. I will definitely come back as the needs arise.

I chose to drive more than an hour each way to have my equipment serviced by ProAudio, based on their reputation. Im glad I did. While I tend to look local/independent first, my priorities ultimately have to be on expertise and result. This independent shop in Tampa lived up to all the talk about them. I went in with two highly unusual vintage/tube units from decades ago, along with a more recent CD/tuner system. While in the store I could see the variety and breadth of other systems they were working on, and I appreciated that they were willing to diagnose and process everything in a straightforward way. The owner assured me, with a handshake and in writing, that their work is guaranteed. I found them to be friendly and responsible people. Lots of expertise here.
