Just picked up some accessories to freshen up my roller skates and Amber was fun,helpful and patient with me on what color combo I wanted to do with the laces, bolts and nuts. I talked her ear off and she didn’t seem to mind it at all. She was really helpful in the lace lengths as well! Love those gals! 🛼❤️

Great service. Super helpful. Selection is limited, but its not the shops fault. Its the suppliers. They are very open and honest. I will definitely drive back to shop there and its over a hour away.

We bought our skates here several weeks ago. That experience alone is worth 5 stars but when i came in to upgrade my bearings Marybeth and Amber provided another wonderful experience. Their knowledge is exceptional and one of the reasons i wont shop anywhere else. Take my advice and keep your skate shopping and accessories local. You just wont beat Skaters Choice for the value you receive.

Mary Beth may be the most helpful person when it comes to skates in the whole dang state. She showed me some great plates (I couldnt get them mounted since I was only in town for a few days) and was pretty stocked on everything youd need. I got Atom Pulse Wheels with bearings and a bag. If youre remotely near Tampa, you need to go to this shop.

They have some really good quality skates, I recommend calling ahead or ordering online to make sure they have your size but they have great quality skate products for a very decent price! And the woman that helped me find my skates today was so kind and made sure I found the right skates.Oh and just a tip, the skate shop is inside the roller skating rink but you can go right in and you shouldn’t have trouble finding it if you ask someone who works there.

First time peeking in. Had a great experience with all the people that work there. So kind and chill. Especially CHRISTINA in the skate shop!!! Shout out to HER!!! She was so amazingly helpful and SO patient with me and my little 3y/o monster son while we discussed all the different types of skates, prices, and safety gear! She really made me feel welcomed! The shop is small, but has a good variety of skates, and ACCESSORIES!

This is where I buy my skates. I have been purchasing skates from this shop since 2015 - for roller derby, inline, and custom skate builds. I intend on picking up a pair of park skates soon, I highly recommend this shop for all of your quad needs - and decent inline selection as well! Theyre also fully equipped to handle JB and Jam skater needs, Im just not a good rhythm skater.. so I cant speak to that too much. Support your local Tampa skate shop, please.

Not only did i drive 55 mins away to a skate shop. The owner, the associate at the counter and the owners daughter were super helpful. Not only did they go above and beyond but they aren’t out to Just take your money, she educated me on the differences in the wheels, skates and accessories. The best $420 I spent in a while. The associate also wrote some tips down for me on a notepad.EXCEPTIONAL SERVICE!!

Stopped by the pro-shop for new bearings. The ladies in the store was awesome and very engaging, we touched on several subjects and they have talked me into coming out to adult skate, one Thursday night in the near future. I will definitely be using them for all future skate needs.

Abhorrent place, skates are always out of stock, overpriced skates, $220 for a pair of simple quad skates, ridiculous. Place hasnt been updated since 1985

Well lets just say i had Found the perfect skates, the ladies got me the right size quickly and i was out by 10 mins!!!! Went to the shop May 17th of 2020 during COVID-19. I needed some cushions for my old roller skates, but ended walking out with a new pair of skates! Mikey and Christina were very helpful and patient with all of my questions and went above and beyond, they made sure I felt confident about my purchase and even explained on how to maintain and do my own fixes and replacements. Friendly staff and adhering to safety guidelines during the pandemic. Lots of options to choose from, will definitely come back for accessories and wheels !!

Awesome, knowledgeable staff! We especially loved Christine (I believe thats her name). She is very passionate about skating and taught us a lot and was a joy to talk to.My recommendation is to go during slow time. When the store is busy, itll be hard to get that quality attention.

This shop is fantastic! I toyed around with the idea of getting some roller derby gear online; however, I was concerned about getting the accurate size equipment and luckily a skate shop was within a reasonable distance. Soooo glad I went down! Christina, who works in the shop was so cool. She let me try on a variety of skates and equipment and was incredibly helpful and knowledgeable about everything skate related. I have never skated before, and went in to Skaters Choice completely uneducated and looking to by a pair of roller skates. The customer service was impeccable - the women working were extremely kind and knowledgeable, and my friend and I were fitted with two perfect pairs of skates.

I stopped in May 27th in search of some better wheels for my sure grip fame skates. Right now during covid it’s impossible to find skates or anything skate related. I walked in and spotted the new Jackson vistas and ended up buying a pair and also got the radar energy wheels and a few other small things. First of all, the building itself screams pure nostalgia. It felt so good to walk thru and “smell” my childhood! Even tho the place was empty with everything going on, it just made me feel good! Customer service was impeccable! She really let me take my time and look around and just be happy to be in public surrounded by so many dope skates! She also skates in the pineapple moxi Lollys so she’s already my bff 😂 I cant remember her name but she was so super helpful to me even while taking a million phone calls from people just like me on a hunt for skates! I can tell she’s very knowledgeable and so friendly! Thanks again, girl! The Jackson vistas are hella comfy!

Dont bother shopping for roller skating gear online if youre anywhere near Tampa. Skaters Choice really has just about everything youd need for skating, including things you may never have thought of (a leather carrying case for my VNLAs?). The staff are experienced skaters who knew all the places in the area where I could try out my new outdoor wheels, and I spent a sublime afternoon rolling in the sunshine.
