Awesome course!! The staff was great. Bill (Ranger) was really nice and helpful. He gave us some really good pointers. Bill (clubhouse) was also super friendly. Truly sad to hear this place is closing. Visit before they do!
Do not recommend... In fact I would recommend not going here. The tee boxes were the worst I have ever seen and the greens were terrible. Most of the time the fairways felt like I was playing from a sand trap. The maintenance staff we incredibly rude as well, starting up loud equipment 20 feet from our tee box as we began our shot on multiple holes. The price was fine for 18 holes and a cart but the reason we came was because of an “award winning” rating somewhere and this was far from even a tolerable course.
Had a good round. Recent rain has helped the fairways grow more grass. The tees need some help. The greens were rolling good. There was some slow play on the last few holes caused by a walker in the foursome in front of the group in front of me.
This was an absolute disgrace of a course. We played the whole front 9 without any pins in the greens. We had to use a stick and drive up to the green before we played the whole. The course was empty of course so we didn’t have to worry about anyone being infront of us. Fairways were dry and the greens were thick and slow. And then you have no pin to hit at? You tell me when the last time you paid for 18 holes and it didn’t come with flags? Also it says award winning golf course. Yes it is for the worst kept mismanaged golf course in Florida. They are closing at the end of july and didn’t feel the need to warn anyone that they weren’t keeping up with it and simply letting it go. Instead they were stuffing there pockets while they still could. Wouldn’t go back if it was open or free!
My son and I just played at Pebble today and some greens and tee boxes were in terrible shape. More disappointing is that my son beat me on the 18th and was so excited he left behind his 2019 pm grinder ( valued at 200 new.) I returned to the course within the hour to discover no one returned the club! I cant wait to see what type of karma is heading the way of the degenerate thief! Pebble Creek wont even email these a**holes on my behalf... Sucks, Pebble used to be my happy place, guess ill find a new course.
Played this golf course last year & enjoyed it. It was in pretty good shape. Not so this year. Most tee boxes were dirt, fairways were brown. Not much grass in fairways & around the greens. We wont be back, too bad ☹️
The course layout was about the best Ive seen since I moved down here about 5 months ago. I settled with 4 stars but would have given the layout 5, the 1 staff member that I met a 5, and the condition of the course maybe a 3-3.5. Most of the tee boxes were pretty good, the fairways were average, there was a lack of any rough (either fairway or woods with nothing in between), and the greens were below average. You could see 20 old pin placements on every hole and there were too many bald spots. Also found it odd that a couple bunkers that I hit had about 1/4 inch of sand with plastic sheeting beneath. How do you play a proper bunker shot with 1/4 inch of sand? Overall, a pretty good experience. The price was right, it is really close to where I live, and I will most definitely be back.
Man its hard to go by these reviews. 5 stars is crazy. I dont think its 1 either. Its def in not so good shape. Probably priced about right. Tee boxes are pretty rough but its a tee box. Greens are hit and miss. Fairways have some green stuff for the most part. Its ok for the money.
Im new to the area and was eager to check out the local golf courses. I really like Pebble Creek. The entire staff is extremely friendly from management to Crista in the beverage cart. Ive read previous complaints about the maintenance and noticed they have done a lot of repairs on the course especially the tee boxes. Its a challenging course, the energy is laid back and Im thinking of becoming a member.
Great layout could be in better shape but price was great 18 with cart $40
I cannot believe this place is closing. What a terrible move by ownership!
Considering all the rain we got the course was in good condition. Friendly staff.
First time playing here a couple days ago. I enjoyed myself playing as a single. Got a great price on GolfNow. The course is not as pristine as others in the area obviously but for the price point, I can’t complain. The gentleman working in the pro shop was very pleasant and accommodating about answering my questions. The course could use some work on the fairways in certain spots and tee boxes but didn’t affect playability in my opinion. I thought the greens rolled rather well. I enjoyed the lay out, certainly some challenging spots to navigate and then some opportunities to capitalize and score well.
The only award this course should win is for slowest pace of play in the country. Took 5 hours and 45 minutes to play 18 holes. At one point we had five groups, yes FIVE, stacked up on the same tee box. Thats unacceptable. The course has a nice layout but its in bad condition. If youre looking for a cheap course to hack the ball around and be away from home as long as possible, then this course will do you just fine. Otherwise, I wouldnt recommend this course.
Stopped by Mulligans with friends. Great service, as always!
This place may have once been good but it is absolutely terrible now. Tee boxes were just dirt on multiple holes. The rough was not cut at all and just left to run rampant. We started our tee time 35 minutes late. There was no starter grouping pairs together so we just sat and waited where two twosomes played in front of us and behind another foursome. On top of that the cart girl got angry when we decided to buy beer on the turn from the clubhouse instead of from her. Completely unprofessional. I would not recommend this course to anyone. Stay away.
Christa on the cart is absolutely snagging. Best cart girl ever, by far! We saw her at least 6 times during or round and each time was better than the last. She definitely kept us hydrated, and the round was very affordable. Course was in great shape. 5 stars
Played recently and disappointing. Have not played the course in a couple of years and had much better memories of golf course condition than I experienced. I know we have had rain but that no excuse. Hope it’s gets better soon. It was a great neighborhood course at on time. BTW the tee box on the island hole has broken railroad ties on the steps going to the tee box. Not safe at all..
Horribly maintained. Way overbooked. Starter is clueless.
By far the worst condition I’ve seen on a course in years. Tee boxes are sand traps and greens are bad. No starter. Supposedly switched to new dietary and had about 15 people booked for the same morning tee time.Never coming here again.Have one star because you have to.
Course is consistently in below average condition. Public course with little to no maintenance or effort put into it. Sandy tee boxes, patchy greens and rough is not maintained or planned, fairways are cow pasture and sand in a lot of areas. 6400 yards is not appealing to anyone who has played real golf at actual top courses in the area. Staff is friendly. Anyone considering paying $15 here needs to drive 10 minutes away to Heritage Isles and pay $30 for very decent conditions all year round and a fun challenging 7000 yard layout.
Great coarse. Had a wonderful time. Christy the beverage server on the coarse was awesome. very friendly and attentive. Mulligans had great food and drinks. Will definitely be going back
Tee boxes are horrible as well as the greens. Wait a couple of months to play. Mulligans clubhouse bar 5 stars
I went to the Pebble Creek pub to meet a date and the leather booth seats were torn and scratched my legs. Perhaps if this weren’t Florida I would not have been wearing shorts and wouldn’t have been injured. Place looked in disrepair. Food was mediocre. Recently I decided to learn to play golf and I couldn’t get anyone to answer the phone or return my voice mail about lessons. There are many other golf courses to choose from who want to sell me a membership, lessons, golf clubs, tee time, and lunch. Update: Still ugh! What a dirty place in disrepair. A ghost town trying to return equipment after renting.
Very bad attitude from the bar tender, I walked in on 6/5/2020 at 12 pm to pick up a take out order, the bar tender lady behind the counter, gave me the dirties look as if I just walked into her bedroom without permission, and asked me what can I do for you? told her I was picking up an online order and the rudely replied oh it’s gonna take a minute, I’ve been here several times to pick up orders, the other lady who I usually see is such a sweetheart, was so welcoming, not this lady
The food is good I especially love their nachos. The golf course is in really good shape, I go there a lot and is very satisifed with the service and the place overall.
You’re absolutely right !!! Christa on the Cart is very efficient Courteous and takes very good care of the customers she’s constantly driving by and taking care of us .I’ve seen her six times and she always make sure we have plenty of drinks she loads are ice up without even asking. . Just want to thank you Christa for all your hard work..
Went Sunday and it’s the first course I’ve played since moving down here. This is the best course I’ve played on and was super happy with the people working in the club house. The fairways and greens are well taken care of! This will be my go to course and can’t wait to go back!
Nice course...fun layout, friendly staff, and a good price. Heres the rub. Some of the tee boxes were mostly sand (blue tees). There are a few of greens that look like theyre recovering from disease. Something I didnt understand, it may be because the greens are small, when the hole was moved it was only moved a foot. There were a number a greens with old holes (in one case 5) within 2 feet of the current hole. And my pet peeve, on 4 holes there were over hanging trees limiting your shot. But this all being said, I will definitely give Peeble Creek another play.
Love this course and Christy is a good at finding you and keeping up with drinks and ice.
WATER PLEASE! GRASS SEED PLEASE
Course was in pretty good shape. Staff very friendly. Hamburger and French fries well over done. They use to have great burgers??????
Great course great staff all around the greens are have been great it has been my favorite place to play.
We recently had a very elegant Quinceañero at Pebble Creek. The staff were all very sweet and accommodating with everything. Very prompt with email replies and needs. I took away two stars. 1 because we paid for 120 people and ran out of pork and rice because although 22% service charge was paid for service the guests had to serve themselves at the buffet and the food did not suffice. When we asked if more food was coming they said they have run into this problem before and offered to make a replacement protein which was nice. The 2nd star was taken off for the same we paid service charge but we had to cut and serve our own cake. The staff cut the first layer of cake then I noticed one of my guests cutting the rest and had to step into do it myself. The place itself was beautiful and we had a wonderful event there but would have liked for those two things to have been taken care of.
Price is pretty good, course is great, and cart girl is not to far away.
Played here for the first time. Beautiful well kept course. If I had the option Id give it 4.5 Stars and will certainly be back here again soon. Challenging course with lots of variations from hole to hole. well placed natural obstacles with enough water to make you think but not eat all your balls. Fairways are generally wide and firm well kept greens. Greens were a good medium speed with challenging breaks. Minor blemishes on greens and Tee boxs but nothing to really be concerned with. Awesome course, extremely friendly staff. Highly recommend Pebble Creek
My favorite course in this price-range!
My local course. Friendly and Fun Course
Well maintained meeting spot, good service and prepared. Well stocked and manned bar. Great parking and easy to get in and out.
Sandy fairways sandy tee boxes bumpy greens
Great as always. Great Pro Shop Manager
Real nice course. Cant wait till the weather cools off Ill be here every weekend
I absolutely Loved thd Irish Pub it was the best I had the most nicest and skilled bartender her name was Lexi Forkas she should get a raise she was the best Im looking forward to going there again when I travel back to tampa
Extremely slow play. We were a foursome behind a threesome with open holes for them. We waited every hole. NEVER saw a ranger or a beverage cart. Manager didn’t seen to care.Tee boxes bare. Went in at the turn for beverages, couldn’t get waited on. May not play there for a long time.
Putting greens were doing aerated so they sucked
Greens in rough shape, but it’s not a huge deal. Went on a weeknight and they started us on the back because a scramble was happening later in the day and they didn’t want us getting caught behind them. We assumed the scramble was starting on 10 so when we made the turn there was an army of golfers ahead of us on 1. The back was also clogged up so we left. Fairways were great and I love the layout of the course. 18 is one of the most difficult holes I’ve ever played.
Awesome! Played for $26 (with cart), got paired up with 2 good players, and played at lightning speed at lunch time on a Wednesday. Good layout, interesting holes, and the greens were pretty solid. One of the best courses for money I have ever played.
This has been one of our favorite hide aways. The new outside patio has made it even better wit a beautiful view of the greens. Music venue is live and should probably be kept to strictly acoustic inside the bar, in my opinion. We like it best after work on a week day.
Fairways need maintenance. Poor manager with rude attitude. Clubhouse is outdated.
I attended a banquet last night at this location. The facility and staff were perfect. Very accommodating, courteous, and helpful.I would highly recommend the Pebble Creek Golf Club. Their ballroom area is perfect for anyone looking for a location to hold an event.
Decent layout, some rough spots along the way, and lots of water. Greens are all small so that presents its own challenge to score well. There is a full service restaurant unlike a lot of courses, but don’t bother. Pleasantly surprised by the beer selection, but the food was not good, over cooked or greasy or both. Would play golf and score the card over a beer here again though.
Been playing this course for years...its the best public layout in the area because there are only 2-3 holes where you actually notice youre playing inside a subdivision. Too many courses in Tampa are just so artificial, but here you feel like the course was constructed for golf and not for homes, even though you may notice them from time to time.Conditions are great for the money, especially in winter. Several of the holes are distinct and memorable, and wind around lakes, trees, and streams, Almost all greens are raised and slope back-to-front. Only bad thing is fairways can get pretty waterlogged when a heavy rain comes through, though that is no surprise for a Florida course.Everyone here is friendly and the staff is very neighborly. Afternoon rates at $20 are an absolute steal. Highly recommended.
Very nice golf course. Great layout, mature course and in good shape when other courses in the area are suffering from drought. Staff helpful and friendly. Excellent value.
DO NOT PLAY HERE!!!!! This is one of the worst golf courses I have ever experienced. I drove over an hour to play this course because some jack leg gave it over a 4 star review. This place deserves a 0 star rating. The greens are so rough and there is very little grass in the fairways and the tee boxes. Mostly just sand and dirt. There are so many employees out driving around or just standing and visiting and not working. As bad as shape as this course is in they should let everybody play for free. These have to be the worst greens in the state of Florida. If you can play golf at all meaning a 10 handicap or less then you will be completely disappointed in your experience at Pebble Creek goat ranch.
The course is in great condition. Greens are very nice. Only issue we had was it took us 5 hrs to play 18 holes. No Ranger on the course to speed up play. Per previous reviews it sounds like this is an issue at this course.
This is a great neighborhood golf course. Well kept and challenging for both beginner and more advanced golfers. The clubhouse features a nice little Pub where you can celebrate the 19th hole and grab some grub.
My group loves this course! The challenge of water on almost every hole not only makes this a beautiful course but a shot shapers dream! The beer cart is always on point and has a great selection. You cat beat Mulligans after your round for excellent food and ice cold beverages!
Great course!
Place is a dump. Played on Saturday November 4th 2017 and will never come back for paying $37 on golf now. Greens are in terrible conditions, trees still down from hurricane, tee boxes are like hitting off dirt. Fairways are the only thing great about this course. Food is terrible as well. Ordered a chicken sandwich and it was all fat. Award winning lol.
Course is in good condition and plays well. Its pretty challenging and be sure to bring plenty of balls. Above average for the bay area
How should we start this...played this course only off of reviews and let tell ya that was a mistake. First they have no range and warm cages r shut down. Worst shape course by far have played in 10 years. Went out early and try to just get the round over with and a shotgun went out without any notice of booking tee time or arriving. Greens rolled about a 3 and would have rather putted on the fairways. After all this ended our round after 9 holes and the manager was very accommodating and gave us a free round even though will never play again!!! Hope this helps out golfers cuz I would have like to have know this before driving to this place and paying money to play there
Nice layout with a friendly staff and well eqipped pro shop. Green fees are competive with other courses in Tampa. I would have given it 4 stars but the greens were in poor shape, the staff did warn us about the greens before we paid. Fairways and tee boxes were in very good shape.
Fairways are open enough for my errant driver. water hazards aplenty. phenomenal 19th hole, which is worth the trip in itself. My favorite course in the area. only downside is they got rid of their driving range.
The greens were rough as hell, I somehow lost 2 balls in the fairway. But we still had fun. 11/13/16
I like this course . Offers a variety of shot opportunities. Hazards are well positioned.
Great for surviving the storm. Go MGA Tour on the 14th, Oct.
Awesome venue to have an event. Absolutely would recomnend!
It had been 5 days without rain and the course was still full of water. Greens were ridiculously slow. It was almost like putting on the fairway. Bunkers were so bad the plastic liner thats supposed to be well beneath de sand would interfere with your shot and there were weeds growing in each and every bunker
Awesome course
Nice layout, but course needs work, especially the greens.
Please have the company that solicits businesses in your area go through customer service training. They constantly call our business & then hang up on us.
Horrible the golfers were causing trouble and the manager was awful he was yelling at people and he just ruined everything
Fun and respectable staff
35 dollars
Nice layout as and in good shape
Great golf course
Nice, fun course
Elegant!!
