We are extremely pleased with our NewSouth Windows just installed a few weeks ago (18 windows total). The product is amazing; 60-70% reduction in noise and able to drop the thermostat 1 degree. AC unit runs a lot less. We went with non-impact windows, converted several regular windows to picture windows, opening up the view to the backyard. John Frayne was our Factory Representative and did an excellent job. He is a Tampa native and really knows his product. He listened to our wants, needs and concerns and helped us throughout the process. The installers worked hard for a two-man crew and took a little longer than planned. Mike did the caps and covers after install & inspection and the windows look great. John listens to customer feedback and works towards continuously improving post sale service, which is all you can ask for. I highly recommend John and NewSouth to anyone interested in upgrading their windows.
Impressive to the end ! John was the coolest sales guy. No pressure, no trashing the competition and answered every question given to him. The one thing he said, that stuck and was truly delivered, was your 100% satisfaction is all they need from you. Every appointment after the sale was met on time and professional. Time is everything to me and that is the one thing that was respected from my first call to NewSouth Window Tampa. The follow-up calls/emails kept you in the loop at all times. Then the installation date is when you saw this all come together. On time, professional, courteous and the place was left cleaner then when they got there. Dont be fooled by the competition that they have a product that is similar to NewSouth. They dont. If you can get someone to come to the house, they are late or are complete no shows in the first place. You deserve the best. Ask for John when it comes to time to make your selection. The rest of the team completes the satisfaction.
Disappointed with how the process was managed and the length of time. I ordered 5 windows and a new door in April 2021. The windows were installed in August. After finding the door was measured incorrectly I was told it would be a couple of weeks for them to come out with the right door. Ten weeks later, yes October 30, my new door was installed. This was not a good customer experience at all.
I ordered my windows in Nov 2020. New South started my window project in June 2021. The job was to be completed in 4 days. But it is now October 2021 and they are still not finished. Not all the windows were with the first June delivery. Then I waited for the missing windows. When the windows came in August 2021the front windows dont match and still waiting. One window has 8 panes the other window has 10. Obviously quality control is lacking. The staff has been slow to respond. I asked for compensation since a review said they had offered compensation to a customer. It was a $100 gift card which doesnt seem enough since I still have no drapes on my windows and my house has been torn up for months. Call Weather Tight Mike
The attention of personnel at NewSouth, particularly Julian, was simply superb! The presentation of proposal, installation team, and follow up, were all first class. We are now working on project #2 with NewSouth Windows. Grateful for the quality of windows and the attention to quality costumer service they provide. The windows are a game changer!
New South Windows has a superior product that is locally made. From the first contact with Julian all the way through installation everything has been great. If someone is looking for the highest quality product to make a major upgrade to your home, NSW is your best choice.
MY EXPERIENCE WENT LIKE THIS...If you dont mind waiting 13 to 20 weeks for the windows, three crews and two inspections that added to a total job completions of 25 weeks and then touching up the novice caulk work, plus accept cracks on the finishing because they dont bring extra product for mishaps. Even when you text them pictures to let them know that they should bring extra finishing products! At a $1,000 a pop per window.... go for it.Its your time and your money.THE WORST PART...New South Window Solutions biggest failure is the communication sync between the ones that are taking client calls and the workers that come to your front door. I received no follow up call during the 13 to 20 week wait or after the project was completed on the 25th week. (YEAH THAT HAPPENED) There was no walk through to demonstrate the work was done to the client satisfaction. There was no text or courtesy call the day before or the day of crew showing up to your door. (3 OUT OF 5 TIMES)THEN COMES DISAPPOINTMENT...The windows themselves are nice but the job was sloppy and unprofessional, not worth the time or money. New South Window Solutions is expensive and a long wait for a job unworthy the hype. I paid cash for this job but if youre going into HOCK for these windows, think AGAIN!
NewSouth team were very professional and kept me informed on my windows/door build. The products were completed and installed ahead of schedule. The installation team did a great install job and cleaned up everyday. Great company!
We signed a contract with New South Windows October 2020. Seven (7) months later, well after their agreed upon time frame of 14-26 weeks of completion, the windows and the slider doors first day of installation began. The installers were friendly yet did not 100% follow their own installation protocols. There was a thunderstorm the first two days of installation and only one window had a drop cloth. They left dirty shoe prints on new tile, new flooring, dirty walls from handling. Upon completion of the first day of installation, we first and foremost noticed the noise in addition to the mess left in the house. We inquired with the installer and he stated that he did still hear noise as well and was not sure why. We contacted the New South Windows office and spoke with Anthony, a part of the production team, and he said as well that we should not hear noise. We also alerted Julian, the salesperson that we heard noise. Julian also reiterated that we should not hear noise and that he would be upset and would want this corrected to 100% satisfaction. The installers returned the following day and at least mostly wore shoe covers and put down two drop cloths. With the remainder of the windows and the two slider doors installed, there was more damage to the house–new drywall broken, window frames broken, new bathroom tile broken, broken glass on new window, two broken screens, and an inferior slider door with additional drilled holes, as well as additional muddy shoe prints and dirty walls. There was also still noise to be clearly heard from all windows and slider doors. There was also shoddy workmanship of the product itself with multiple excessive caulking and mess with the windows and doors. The installer again stated that he did not understand why he could still hear noise and could not clean all the mess off because it was too much. They used Great Stuff sealant, a cheap product around the windows and slider doors. We alerted New South Windows again that same day we were still not satisfied with their products and materials. The company sent Cody from the production team two weeks after installation to discuss issues and after an inspection, acknowledged all the issues and just asked for payment. He said that the job was finished, and that payment was needed. The job is not finished and there are still all the issues first brought to New South Windows attention at inception. Cody said that he would speak with his boss and get back to us the next day. Cody stated that customers have held $500 and $10k from a job until completed to their satisfaction yet was not willing to take half payment from us until completed to our 100% satisfaction. Under duress, we wrote a check because Cody promised he would be in touch the next day and we would move forward. After a week, we had not heard anything, and we put a stop payment on the forced check due to non-existent communication and shoddy product. Cody only called after the check was stopped and did not relay any information as to what was being done to correct the issues and move the job along. Cody just said that he would put the job on hold instead of even trying to get answers and work on correcting all the issues. That was a month ago as of this review. New South Windows stated that they had a superior product and that is not what was received. They decided to just drop the ball and not handle their responsibility to their customers nor back their own products and complete a job to 100% satisfaction.
Showed up as scheduled, performed installation and completed the same day. The stucco was chipped during removal of some of the windows, the chipped were repaired/painted before the left. Approximately two weeks later, they came back to put the caps in.
We had new windows put in. Very excellent windows. Only complaint I have is supposedly the installers said they could not put our shutters back up due to not being able to put on the windows. Neither of us remembered them saying anything to us. It was in our contract they would be put back up by the sales rep. Otherwise we most likely would not have had the windows installed. Took many calls and weeks later checking when they will come to put up our awnings, finally they informed me it could not be done. As it would void the warranty. So guess I will have to hire someone to see if they could put them up without putting the brackets on the window themselves, as we are not able to do it ourselves. Very disappointed.
Our windows and door were installed. All of the crew sent to my home no one could speak English. Had to communicate via cell phone to a supervisor. I dont think this is good business practice. While I have no problem with any one working in my home I would think there would be at least one person who could speak English and be able to communicate and answer questions without having to contact a supervisor to communicate. The window in my door was crooked and all the caulking was visible. This should have never left the factory that way. Phone calls and pictures sent regarding door. Spoke to Gerard our sales person and expressed our unhappiness with this. Call back stating he was sending some one out to look at it. No representative came. Only someone to FIX the door. We did not pay for a new door for it to be fixed. We paid for a door to be right the first time around. We are supposedly getting the new door. I am not very happy with all of this. While the windows are beautiful, more care needs to be taken with communication. Both my husband and I told Gerard that the door was unacceptable and we wanted a new door. Yet some one was sent to FIX it. All I can say is when you choose this company they are good but make sure you are able to communicate with the people who install and that what you want you get. We will see how the next door looks. We also were told they were not to caulk the windows on the inside until windows were inspected. They caulked them anyway. I hope the inspection can happen the right way and I hope this doesnt turn into a big mess.
Had seven new windows installed great quality and the installer where professional. they look great and block outside noise and heat amazing.
After getting several quotes and inspecting the quality of each product, I selected New South Windows because of their great reputation and even higher quality windows (and installation). Im happy I went with them and they even called me about 3 months after the installation to make sure everything was still going alright!
Excellent product and very professional salesperson with extensive knowledge and information. If you are putting windows in a home you will be in for many years, this is the company to use. Thank you to Brian for all the professionalism and knowledge.
Our salesman was awful, he never returned calls and left out doors on the original quote. If I wanted to add the door I had to pay for it in full, they wouldn’t add it to the end price. I was told I would have a November install as I gave my deposit in June, windows were finally installed in March and I revived no updates over this 4 month wait. I was told at the sale point that I would pay a down payment and then one payment when the work started and another when the work was complete and then finance the balance, I’ll come back to this. The installation was actually really good, great crew and the product itself is good quality. Post installation, they told me that the entire balance was being financed and that I didn’t need to make any payments at that time. Well a few weeks went by and I was never contacted for an inspection so I called and they said I had no inspection scheduled because I hadn’t paid my part. After paying them I got the inspection and then another two weeks went buy before I called them to ask when I would get the trim crew and punch list done, they have now told me it will be another month before final trim. That puts the trim and punch list two months after install, if I hadn’t called to ask when they would be coming back, I’m not sure they ever would have. They have told me that I have been listed as a difficult customer yet I have never raised my voice or talked nasty to anyone at their company at any point. I suppose wanting the work you have paid for up front makes you a difficult customer. They have had me over a barrel since the day I gave them a deposit and I regret ever getting involved with New South. I just want the work completed and never have to deal with them again. Worst part is is that I’ve been in the construction industry my entire adult life and know how this process is supposed to work. I feel sorry for people who don’t know what to do or ask and are left waiting months and months for service.
Signed contract in March, the windows weren’t ready until July 1. 14 windows to be replaced, yet they made 15, and the installer brought all of them. The installer admitted he had never replaced windows on a mobile home. They then proceeded to rip, yes rip the existing windows out of my home, breaking and expelling glass into my yard, I have pets, I’m still picking up glass. Incorrectly installed the new windows, had to come back out, broke a window trying to fix his mistakes. Called sales rep, he had quit two weeks prior to work starting, started dealing with the production manager, he comes out, sees the mistakes, says he’s going to put me on the schedule. A month and half later and three phone calls, he sends out the technician, he fix’s most of the issues. Has to order a new window, due to poor manufacturing, waves in the frame. Clips that hold the sash in the frame not locked all the way in place on three of fourteen windows. Called the production manager, only to find out he quit. I haven’t heard from the office, three windows still not fixed, no idea what’s going on. County inspection still not done, stickers still on the windows, sealant still on the windows. What hurts the most is how much I’m having to pay for such poor quality and service. Will be contacting a lawyer.
Install team spent whatever time necessary to get the perfect fit and functionality. They were very professional and “picky” adjusting and readjusting until it was perfect. Thanks to Adonis and his team. The product is the product, but the consumer experience is made by the Customer Service Team and the Installation Team. Kudos to both!
Our First experience installing new windows since our house was built in 1997. The Staff at New South is of the Very Best, the installation was amazing, our windows are energy effificient/hurricane, Staff cleaned up after installation . We Highly recommend New South !! The Best Crew!!!Thank you so very much,Michael & Rose FavioNew Port Richey, Florida 34654
I am so happy I went with New South Windows and Doors They did everything they promised, showed up on time each and every time and kept in constant contact to keep me apprised of the timeline for my windows and doors. Great company, exceptional service, wonderdul follow-up.
Wait time of four (4) months from time of order to install was way to long to wait. Need to make efficiencies to shorten this time. Sales process reminded me of buying a car, but I felt like we received a good price. We only needed to order two large windows, and companies did not seem interested in such a small order. New South came through, and the quality of the windows and installation are outstanding. My recommendation for future customers is to understand they may have to spend a little more time in the sales process before making a decision. Bottom line - Yes, we are very happy with fit & finish of the windows and installation.
Our condo in Redington Shores had the original single-pane aluminum frame windows and sliding doors from the 80s when it was built. We were referred to NewSouth from another owner that had great results. From the initial contact, sales meeting with John Frayne, tour of their manufacturing and distribution facility, including meeting the CEO of the company, to the installation, was just a phenomenal experience, not to mention the quality, fit and finish of the product. The NewSouth team drove all of the pre-installation busy work with the township for permits, and once our new windows and sliders were custom manufactured and ready for installation, the installation contractors did a fantastic job removing, installing, and cleaning things up in a timely, efficient and professional manner. We cannot convey how happy we are with the overall process from start to finish- no sales pressure, no nonsense, and the windows and doors are amazing. We noticed the day after the installation that the air conditioner was running about half as much as it normally did, and the condo is unbelievably quiet. Thanks to John and the installation team, great work, great product, and an even better experience. Wish there were more than 5 stars.
The purchasing experience was very good, John Frayne was the salesman we had the good fortune of meeting and agreeing to purchase. The installation took place on 7 Nov. 2018 and all 11 windows were installed the same day. We received a follow-up visit for installation of risers on the front horizontal opening windows on 18 Nov 2108. A couple of the windows to include the front windows had the completion trim pieces installed on the same date. An additional follow-up visit to install the balance of the trim pieces was completed the week of 17 December. We are very happy with the New South Windows.
This is part of a letter we sent to the management team at New South Windows: We just wanted to let someone know how extremely pleased we are with our New South windows and your installation crews. We installed windows in 2019 in the front of the house and installed the rear of the house about 10 days ago. This current installation included 6 more windows and a slider, and we know your guys had a real challenge in getting the old slider out. Your team started around 8:30 in the morning and worked until 8:30 that evening, with very little break for lunch. One of the gentlemen was moving to a new home the very next morning and we told him they could come back to finish. He said,”No ma’am. You were told it would be finished in one day and we will stay until it is finished properly!” He was a young man (I believe his name was Breno) and both he and his partner were extremely professional, cleaned up after the installation, and had quite a work ethic! On another note, the inspector from Dunedin said he has been inspecting New South windows for quite sometime and has NEVER had an issue. His comment to me was (verbatim) “Honestly, Mrs. Campbell, the fact that the city even send me out to inspect New South is crazy. They are the best…”We thank you for providing a quality product, an outstanding, conscientious crew, and for going the extra mile to finish up the project.
Buyer Beware!! This was a nightmare experience that went on for 7 moths.Very poor quality of product workmanship, installation and repair. Starting with a mis measured window finally admitted to.They delivered and installed a window leaking gas, 3 door panels with scratches, damaged door frames both dented and scraped. They broke 1 window during installation as well as unreported broken marble window sills, also removed tile. Their installers and stucco Cos. are indendent contractors, not employees. Their repair crews continued to cause more damage during repair attempts. 2 sliding door frames were replaced since the doors would not slide beyond the walls past the opening. This required new stucco curbs to be created under the door frames. All this was after waiting 7 months to begin installation. They also failed their 1st County Inspection. These are just a few photos of the damages and less than professional workmanship in all areas of the project.
New South has been great! From the initial consultation to the estimate to over delivering on the timeline by a mile! Were told mid summer for install and we had a call in early April and install scheduled. Highly recommend!
I am delighted to say that I had my new south windows put in today and the crew was awesome! Perfect job, fast, efficient, professional, and superb work. I would like to personally thank Jimmy, Andre, and Renel for the excellent job they did. My name is Yvonne Osmond, I’m using my daughter’s phone because I don’t have a google account, so that’s why the number doesn’t match. I just couldn’t wait to give this review!! New South is the only way to go, these guys deserve a raise!!!
For a place that advertises CONSTANTLY, You would think theyd be a little bit more receptive to new business calling on the phone there wasnt a bit of pleasantries whatsoever just what floor are you on No nothing Ive called a couple other places and everybody seemed pleased to have somebody calling their phone so maybe they shouldnt advertise if theyre not looking for a new business
Great service, great tinted, hurricane windows & a large slider.
Very clean, polite and efficient. Will definitely use next time.
The whole experience, from ordering the windows from Chad, to the 3 gentlemen that installed the windows was a great experience. I applied for a rebate with Tampa Electric after my windows passed inspection and Olivia, the TECO person who came out to verify my new windows, called me and told me that whoever I contracted with for the new windows did an outstanding job!!
I recently contracted with New South Windows to remove my old 70’s picture window and install three hurricane windows. I am so happy with the outcome. The windows are beautiful, solid and so easy to slide up and down. They also tilt in for cleaning. Every part of the process was professional from sales to final inspection. Great job NSW and thanks.
Not sure I will ever refer anyone to New South. Contract stated 14-18 weeks. And the salesman Brian did a great job selling New South. Also recieved a letter stating at week 10 I would be getting updates from NS every 2 weeks. I have had to do all the communication, calling emailing etc to find out the progress. Now 21 weeks into this, no windows or doors and communication still lacks. The most recent email now says 1-2 more weeks. Looking at 23-25 weeks now on what was supposed to be 14-18. These windows and doors better be gold. Not happy at all.
New South Windows installed 3 sliding glass doors for us. Jitler and his crew did an excellent job installing and cleaning up the work area. New South also did all of our windows. Were very pleased with the company and the service.
After multiple quotes from different companies I chose to order my windows and front entry door through New South Window Solutions. Back in July 2020 we met with the salesman who was an absolute professional with tons of knowledge. Due to Covid we were a bit delayed with the delivery/ install of the windows but New South took the time to give me updates every 2 weeks. It is now Jan 2021 and New South has installed our windows and front entry door. I do own an older custom built home and all windows had to be removed and installed through the interior. With that said, the install crew was nothing short of amazing. the crew lead took the time to go over everything before his guys took the first tool off the truck. He also explained what I should expect during the install. I was amazed how fast these guys were with removal and installation of the windows. They finished with the frond door removal/ install. There was a bit of a speed bump with the threshold of the old door and it didnt slow these guys down at all. they adjusted, made an unplanned repair and moved forward. All of this was accomplished in 1 day. The crew took extra care to clean up and when I did a final walk through with the crew leader he noticed some dirty prints and had them taken care of even after I said it was no big deal. As far as future business goes I can say with assured confidence that I will be a New South customer for life.
Excellent customer service. We were updated as production benchmarks were hit. Installation went very well and Regis ensured that quality was top notch. Very pleased with the end result and feel that we received value for the investment in this product.
Their quotes are way over the average price per sqft. Their advertisements said 40% off but they give you a 90k price to then charge you 50k… their average price per sqft is over 200… average price for same type of windows from competitors like PGT with middle man is 45-90 per sqft… and that is with no discounts at all and installed… my advise to buyers is to do a research of prices before buying here… if u want to waste the money go ahead… on the phone they also mention they have additional discounts which is a lie for you to have someone over… also they pressure you saying to take the price now because it will be gone after.
We are so pleased with our choice to have New South take care of our windows and 2 sliders. From start to finish they were very professional. I would like to send out a very special thank you to everyone involved. The difference is so unbelievable. We are sooooo happy!!!
We ordered seven windows and two were defective. One of our other windows was 2 1/2 inches short and they used foam to substitute the space that was vacant. We spent $14,000 on windows and the customer service that we received on a scale of 1 to 10 was a -3. No one was responsive, I had to make the calls to address certain issues and that was very upsetting. We purchased the windows in April and they came in July to install and at that time we realized the defects and saw the short window as they installed it. They finally addressed the issue of the defects and came back in September with the wrong products to correct the problem. I again addressed the short window and waited another three months for them to come back in December to replace the windows that were defective. At each and every turn I had to initiate the inquiries about the status of my windows and what was happening with them. Although I do feel the windows are a somewhat decent product, as far as Customer Service and empathy and integrity told the customer they rate of zero. I will not recommend them nor will I ever use them again. Do not use this company, you will be sorry. They advertise as factory direct which would imply quick service but they are incompetent in every aspect as far as that is concerned. Obviously the batting average is terrible.
Our sales guy John was fantastic and every thing was on point and went well.... We had a great experience with New South Windows and we would use them again in the future!
I purchased front doors for my home from NewSouth Window solutions a little more than 3 months ago. Company owner said that doors would be completed and ready to be installed in 6-8 weeks. After waiting almost 3 months, we were notified that doors were completed, but company had no one to deliver doors for 7-10days. We were finally given time and day for doors to be delivered. Three hours after the doors were scheduled to be delivered, workers from NewSouth Window Solutions came to my home and told me they were there to deliver windows. I told workers that I ordered doors, not windows. The workers appeared to be confused. They went back to their truck, looked as though they made numerous calls and then drove off without speaking to us. We called company several times after workers left our home and explained the problem and no one cared. We could get no one to say that company would deliver doors again until they were threatened that we would cancel doors and get our money back. The next day, two workers from NewSouth Window Solutions came to my home and after 4 hours of work, finally placed the front doors. Two minutes after the workers left my home, the door handle fell off my new door. Our home decorator also said that the doors are not properly placed. To this very minute, we are still getting the run around from this company. They will not fix door handle nor will they properly place door. Best solution is probably to call Help Me Howard and put this on tv and contact an attorney
Customer service is poor and slow to respond or no response at all. I received incorrect information and its been three weeks now and still waiting for correct information to be sent to me. Spent over 20,000 on hurricane windows and cant get anyone to call me back.
Wonderful product and installation. Went exactly as they had promised.
The workers came they removed the old windows and installed the new windows. They were polite, professional people. The windows look great. The workers left everything nice and clean. So far I am super happy with this work.
We put a deposit on new sliding glass doors in July 2020. We are STILL waiting for our doors to be installed. All we get is the run around that they are still in production. This is January 2021. Quite ridiculous. Wish we had not put a deposit down as I would most certainly cancel and find a company that will actually get the work completed in a timely manner.
The window technicians arrived when stated. They were very knowledgeable of their job, extremely courteous and polite. They seemed to take pride in their job. Their teamwork was impressive, and was obvious that they liked working together. The windows are definitely high quality professionally installed. I would highly recommend this company to anyone.
The service from New South Window Solutions was very professional and courteous from the first appointment to the completion of the project.
I purchased hurricane impact windows from NSW. The salesman, Mike, was excellent. He explained the whole process, all the options and aspects, and the installation of the windows through final inspection. The installers, better known as The Family were excellent. They are well oiled machine, each team member has his job and performed it well in concert with the other team members. Today, Reggie, the inspection tech guy, came and prepared everything for the inspector. Then he walked the inspector through the house and I got approved. And Reggie is now putting the finishing touches and cleanup on the windows. Let me not forget the office staff and foreman, all of whom were polite and professional and pleasant.I highly recommend New South Windows.
It took 19 weeks to get the doors installed and now 4 weeks later job not complete. No one calls back. At this point i dont know how many times Ive called. Wish never used New South Window and Doors, very angry.Job finally done after a total of 25 weeks and a few calls to the corporate office. Would neve recommend or use them again.
Love their product. The communication in house is a lot to be desired though. They really need to have their departments working closer with each other to avoid confusion and frustration. Granted COVID makes this year a cumbersome year for anything, however the communication has made this experience a poor one. When we finally had installation, I was told that we would hear from someone about scheduling the county. After 2 and half weeks I finally called and the first question asked was Has the stucco work been completed, that was 10 days before. I told them yes and was told do you want tomorrow or the next day. Up till that point I was of the understanding that the County was the issue. The inspector came out as planned. Now it will be another 20 days of living in a fish bowl waiting for your company to complete the job. I love your product but your internal communication has a lot to be desired.
After consulting with John Frayne, we replaced all of our aluminum windows with Low-E impact resistant vinyl windows from NewSouth. The crew was courteous and professional and the work was excellent. There was no damage to the house after removing the old windows, which worried me. The installation was completed in a day and a half and the trimming and fit and finish was superb. We had a great experience with NewSouth.
**I will update pending the outcome** I had a sales person meet me at my house in March 2019 where he measured all my windows that were to give me a quote on the windows to be replaced. There was limited time between communication and I was told the windows would be made in June since they were back logged due to the 2018 storms for a July installation. The windows were not installed until August 9, 2019. Prior to New South making the windows, I received a phone call advising me that the new receptionist had made a mistake and told my salesman the wrong information. My quote, that I agreed to and signed, was for standard windows and not impact resistant to meet the code of my area. I had a manager call me after asking me to pay the difference in which I refused as this was not my mistake. (If I had made the mistake they would have expected me to pay for the whole thing.) Needless to say, they ordered and installed impact resistant windows or so I thought. The main front window, after the old one was tore out had a nice crack in it. Did it come out of the factory like this? If so where was the QC check, did it get damaged en route to the job site? The master window had something stuck between the glass and also needs to be replaced. I received a phone call at the beginning of October telling me all my windows will have to be replaced as someone else had made an error, and these windows that were installed were not impact resistant. So if there had been no damage to the windows that were installed, I never would have known they were the wrong type for my area. I received another phone call on October 4, 2019 telling me they were a week out, and today is November 11th and no windows or communication. I should have just gone with another company, but now i am stuck in limbo.
From sales team to service New South did a great job. The quality is above most companies we got estimates from and we liked that they are manufactured here in FL. It was a long wait, but we were told up front so we planned accordingly and they came in under estimated time. The quality is worth the money. We are very happy and looking forward to more efficient cooling and heating of our house. We had a ledge that needed repair, that was another deciding factor since the crew on the site that was able to fix with no 3rd party contractor needed. The installation team was fast and efficient, amazed they were able to do 10 windows in one day! There was one lock mechanism issue that we missed at final walk through, but the team was back out in 30m and fixed same day. So glad we chose NSW for this important home choice.
Workers showed up ahead of time and worked hard throughout the day. The installer took the time to show me how the windows were installed. Very happy with the finished product.
This has been never ending odyssey of carelessness, broken promises, phone calls, emails, failed inspections and as we sit 10 months later, we have stickers on windows, never fixed stucco repairs, uninstalled molding and bills. Here is the is timeline of events, regretfully there is a character limit so I cant go into greater detail.4/25/18 - Deposit made for Windows Told 6 Weeks and then they would schedule installation.9/1/18 - 5 Months later, a few phone calls and story about China and something at the new Tampa Warehouse we got a gift basket and a apology letter. Which was thoughtful and we did enjoy it but did little for the window problem.10/09/18 - Windows came and this was our installation day, a great victory was upon us! Ok so we missed Hurricane Season (which is why we purchased the windows in the first place) but well get these in today and be all ready for the 2019 Hurricane season. Installation was ok, there were some minor stucco damages (see photos) but the crew was generally pretty good. All we needed to do now is pass inspection, do the repairs, affix the molding and its a done deal - days away from final completion.10/15/18 - Hillsborough County Inspection - Failed. Miserably. Not even close - the inspector didnt even look at the last two rooms because we had no chance of passing he said. The reason the windows failed is because in Florida, particular Hillsborough county - you have to special etchings on each piece of glass - which prove it is impact resistant.WE ARE MISSING REQUIRED ETCHING ON 5 OF 11 WINDOWS INSTALLED.We had no idea about the etching - which were are not professional window people - I was however pretty surprised that New South really seemed to have no idea about this - we had to keep calling them, explaining the problem, all they kept saying was that they (building Inspector) hasnt always looked for it and that usually the sticker on the window is good enough.10/15-12/31- Three or more different New South People came by periodically to not really understand the problem - they talked about letters from engineers, they had people come to our house to try to etch the window while it is installed - which of course failed spectacularly at which point they finally said they are going to have re-order, and replace the non etched glass with etched glass. (which you know if you are like in the impact window business would probably be a good idea to check before you install them homes or hope the inspector isnt really checking or paying attention) Replacing the glass is a big inconvenience for us, I have long ago re-installed all the alarm sensors for example and we have already done the all-day install once. But hey if gets us our windows. They said for sure, it would be about 4-6 weeks - mid January or so.2/5/19 - No calls, no emails, no follow up, for sure no replacement windows, stucco repairs or anything else. Was Told that we were in luck the windows would be here on 2/11 and someone would be calling with an update if some reason the replacement glass doesnt come in. I told them very clearly I was out of patience - that this must be resolved.2/12/19 - Nothing except out of patience. See photos below of where we stand present day.I will say this, that everyone at the company is nice, our sales guy was super nice, the installers nice (messed some things up but nice), the GM/President again super nice but can not finish the job. Also on a side note - its pretty sporty to hang out with the stickers on your windows for 4 months but I would really like to get those off one day too.We do get the bills, they had a great offer on one year financing free of interest (read the fine print they charge you back interest if you dont pay in a year) Still, Not a bad deal if they ever finished the job. Will gladly update progress if we ever get to the next stepItems not completed: Failed Inspection, Stucco Repairs, Properly Etched Glass, Replacement Glass, Molding.Status: Left on a Island talking to a volleyball.
We purchased a piece of property that had a house that was built in 1986, and it essentially looked the same as the day it was built. As a result, we started a complete home renovation, which included replacing almost every window in the house. I had never been through a renovation of this size, so it was a bit of a learning process. I called out several companies for a to replace all of the old windows. After seeing their ad on TV and that they were local, I called New South Windows for a quote. The challenging part was that the price quotes varied widely, and everyone said their windows were the best or as good as everyone else. We took the time to go visit the New South Windows facility and actually see how the windows were made, and understand how they are constructed. Additionally, New South was the only solution that was able to accommodate some unique windows with arches and getting the look we wanted. New South Windows was not the cheapest quote we received, but do you really want the cheapest solution when you are talking about an investment like your house. The overall process was handled well, even with having to do minor adjustment to some large windows that we have in the front of our house. The installation went smoothly, the installers did a great job over two days completing 20 windows. Even the building inspector commented on how good the windows are and looked. We are very happy with the finished product and will use New South Windows again for windows in our guest house.
After Hurricane Irma in 2017 We made two big decisions, we would not go without power again and not go through the physical labor of boarding up our home. #1 we had a home generator system installed, #2 We decided to have Insulated Hurricane Windows installed. I had 4 estimates from different companies. Pricing was pretty close so was not a major factor in our choice. We chose New South Windows because they make their own windows and they install their own windows with their own employees and not contractors. Their window construction was of the highest ratings, quality was top notch, and reviews online were all positive by customers. This is a busy company, we signed ourContract in Early May, yesterday our windows were installed ( in fairness, none of the companies we got estimates from had less than a 4 month back log). All windows are custom Made to order. We received periodic updates by phone as to our order. Last week we were called that our windows were ready And scheduled their installation for yesterday. The crew showed up on time and went right to work. First, All furniture and flooring was covered, then It took them 10 hours to remove the old and installed the new. The crew worked hard all day with one 20 min lunch break; no slacking, no wasting time goofing offOr playing with their phones; just steady disciplined team work. The crew was friendly, competent, and professional. When finished, they cleaned up their mess inside and out and departed. The windows look great, function flawlessly, and provide a measure of protection and efficiency we didn’t have before. We will be getting a Energy rebate from the power company, a reduction in our Home Owners Policy, and possibly a tax break. We highly recommend New South Windows!
I ordered a new front door and new French doors for my house. The salesman was very professional and courteous. The process worked as explained to us. We got our doors sooner than anticipated. The day of installation was a breeze. The team was very respectful covered my furniture and did a great job at installion. I would highly recomm nd New South to anyone.
This Company was extremely courteous, timely, and understanding at a difficult time in my life. In addition to needing replacement windows, I was struggling with numerous health issues myself. They crew from the Bonita Springs location were just fantastic in helping me get the project completed. The windows are wonderful. I would highly recommend them to anyone.
The men did a great job, they even cleaned up. All the windows look great, they worked really hard for two days. My front door is beautiful. Im so glad we chose this company, I would recommend them to anyone they are professionals all the way. They were patient with me since we had family matters to attend to in New York.
I love my new hurricane windows! New south kept in touch with me throughout the window manufacturing Process and delivered the windows when they said they would. The installation team was knowledgeable and professional. I plan to get the rest of my windows replaced from New South Windows and highly recommend their product.
I was so pleased working with New South. They were informative as well as very professional. They did everything timely as well as neatly. They worked and cleaned up everything. It was like they were never there. Thank you for all your hard work. It was a pleasure working with you all.
Recently New South came out to replace several of our windows. We were very impressed with the professionalism from Cody and Bobby. I would definitely recommend New South to anyone.
Everyone at NewSouth Windows was friendly and professional. The new door is great and so was the installation. They were very responsive. Super job!
Jacob Dackman, arrived on time for our meeting and was able to wear his mask and retain social distancing. Jacob, spent time answering all my questions about the product and gave a great demonstrations of how the windows work to keep out the summer heat. I believe I received good value for the quality of windows. I am very pleased with the final installation and look forward to getting more windows from NewSouth Window Solutions. Beyond this, the staff at NewSouth Window Sol. are courteous, professional and always willing to help (with a smile in their voice). Means a lot in this stressful time.
The windows havent been in for long but they are keeping the house cooler and a whole lot quieter. I hear nothing from the sidewalk or street. The installers were quick and hard-working. They made a good team. They took a window out and replaced it, rather than taking out all the windows at once and leaving gaping holes to let the heat in. I must say I particularly liked the sales rep, Chad, because he was a no-pressure person. He showed me a sample window and told me the price but didnt push at all. I am very satisfied so far, but really hope I dont have to see how they hold up during a hurricane. . .
Windows looks great. But the finish work looks bad. Windows looks out of square sideing was not snaped back the way it should be. Gap around window the back board is visiable. Very bad finish!
The installers were the best. So fast and most importantly they were neat and professional. They also explained how to operate the windows and how to clean them. Will recommend to my neighbors and friends.
I had eleven windows installed from New South windows! I highly recommend them! My house is cooler and quieter! They left the inside and the outside of my house so clean! They were professional, courteous, polite and they took care of every detail! The installing crew were so amazing. What a pleasure it was to meet them and have these installers! There office staff was very helpful and a pleasure to work with! If I had a problem it was resolved! Thanks New South Windows!
I agree with other reviews on here, they are not to be trusted, poor quality, not responsive, and no after install support. Its a shame I spent so much money with them, never again. I would not recommend them, even if they were the cheapest and theyre not.
Just beware of what the sales person quotes from a lead time standpoint is not the actual lead time. We were told 8-10 weeks. I received a courtesy call about 8 weeks after we signed the contract and paid our deposit saying the order has been processed (whatever that means). I called for clarification and was told 14-16 weeks. Not that big of deal in my case but be aware the lead time quoted by the sales person is not actual. Id make sure you get that in writing if its important to you. Will update review after windows finally show up and get installed.
Overall timeline - weeks off schedule. Performs work without required permits. Uses COVID as an excuse for any promise that they cannot deliver on. Windows not ready - COVID. Doors not ready, which they dont even manufacture themselves - COVID. Permit(s) didnt get pulled 5 months ago when the contract was signed - COVID. I cant wait to see what else they blame on COVID.Properly overpriced to boot, but time will tell on the quality front; I will not be surprised when they cannot deliver on all the promises the salesperson made.
We were so pleased and the Windows made our home look like a new home. Electric bill has gone down and we are still waiting for a replacement they are calling and keeping us in loop. We will recommend this company to anyone who wants a quality product with a fair price this is the company to trust. Thank you Jane and Roy Carroll.
Great customer service all around. Install team very friendly, professional, clean and expedient. So happy I called New South Windows for my sliding glass door needs. Will DEFINITELY use them when Im ready to replace my windows. Dont turn to any other company. Worth the money!
Crew was very polite and courteous. They were very good working around our multiple pets, and quickly answered all our questions. Installed all our windows and doors quickly, but professionally.
I had every window in my home replaced and loved my new windows. The whole experience has been easy and stress free. The windows are very high quality, the installation crew is excellent and my salesman, John Frayne, is great to work with. I recommend New South Windows highly!
From sales to office staff to installers were great. Office staff, especially Sherry, went above and beyond. Everyone is responsive and answers all questions and concerns. I am thrilled with my windows and I have recommended NewSouth to my neighbors.
We placed our order on October 9th and the job still isnt finished. Weve heard one excuse after another. On top of that, the overall customer service is horrible and our sales person has never responded since he walked out the door with our deposit. We would caution anyone considering New South at this time. The claim to be shorthanded and say they are having difficulty getting items like door handles. I would go to Lowes and get them myself but Ive already paid New South in full for a job that should have been done weeks ago. Very disappointed!
I would definitely recommend New South. They are very professional and did a great job!
Eduardo and his crew were great. I could not be happier with my new windows and sliding glass door from New South! Their attention to detail the the workmanship was outstanding! Thank YOU.
Our experience with New South Windows was, from start to finish, curtious and professional. We were kept up to date on a regular basis. The installers did an excellent job.We highly recomment New South Windows.
NewSouth Windows recently installed my three fabulous custom-made hurricane code windows with efficiency, good workmanship and attention to detail by two friendly installers. The presentation of the product prior to purchase and installation was thorough and informative. These windows not only fulfill Florida hurricane code but also contain UV protection. My new west-facing windows have markedly changed the temperature inside my condominium for the better. Kudos to the great service this business provides to us Floridians!
The crew were very professional and polite. They worn their masks the entire time. They showed up at the stated time and worked to get the windows all installed that day. They did an excellent job. Everything was explained to us. And the person who will be doing the plaster repair work has already contacted us and is set to come tomorrow. Thank you so much for such an awesome experience. We have already passed your information to someone who has recently bought a new home.
I was pleased that the installers arrived before the scheduled time. They were professional, polite and courteous. Elvis and Luis were very thorough; they took the time to cover my furniture, TV and the area where they would be working at. What I was most impressed with was their work ethic. They did not waste any time and got to work right away after providing me with the paperwork/packet. There is a small latch/lock for my MB window, but I was assured it will be replaced once final inspection is done. I am very pleased with my windows, and with the service from the installers.
Recently we were forced to replace the glass sliding door in our master suite, and after some research we decided to call New South Windows out for an estimate. We appreciated the low-pressure sales presentation and technical outlay on the quality of New South’s products and signed up.The door was custom made to our requirements and specifications and we are happy with the finished product. Our installers represented New South well by their knowledge and professionalism. We highly recommend you consider New South for any of your window and door needs.Joe Villeneuve, Tampa
Our NewSouth windows look fantastic and the work done to get them installed was completed in a very timely manner within two days despite having nearly 20 windows and two sliding glass doors to be installed. Also, despite delays caused by Covid we were well-informed of progress and the company proactively reached out to us often to ensure they were doing their very best to get us installed.
Excellent customer service from Angel Vieties, he was very detailed in explaining the window installation.
From start to finish this is a top notch company. Jacob the salesman that came to give his presentation was amazing. He knew everything about the windows and answered all of our questions. I really wasn’t planning on buying that day but he sold me on the spot. 5 stars for Jacob for sure. During the building process I was updated on the progress. When my windows were ready an appointment was made in a timely and convenient manner. Ron and his awesome crew arrived on time and professionally installed 7 windows and 2 sliders in 5 hours and they worked clean and neat and were very polite. 5 stars for them also. New South is a great product and a customer oriented company. I truly believe I bought the best windows on the market. Thank You to Jacob and Ron, ask for both of them when inquiring and buying.
Nice product, quickly installed however over 3 months after the date set. Said it was because of Covid.
Very nice show room. Great experience if you want to learn about the different type of windows they make.
For the most part everyone did their job very well. The windows look good, the sunblock works very well. The installation crew did a great job, and cleaned up after themselves, you could hardly tell they been here and did all the work.My only issue is the delay in the final company inspection and putting on the side screw covers. It is comforting now not to have to worry about my large bay window in the front of the house when we have wind storms and hurricanes.
Great experience throughout the process. Installation was fast and clean. Everything looks great! And of course....Amazing windows! The improvement in noise, sun, and heat insulation is even better than we anticipated!!
I just had my trim finished and I cant fully describe how nice and professional the technician Rick was . He left everything cleaned up and did a beautiful job. We are thrilled with our new windows and sliders. The installation was incredible as well.
We had the windows at the front of our home replaced by New South Windows. Love John, our Sales Person! He was very informative and took his time to make sure we understood the process. Our Installers were very nice and finished in a day. They were very careful about the mess and even cleaned up after themselves. Our Windows are beautiful!! Our Home is cool and so quiet its kind of weird, but in a good way. We highly recommend New South Windows! You will not be disappointed!!
This is my second review, as I did not finish the first one as it applies. I am very happy with my windows and admire them when I am outside for the improvement on my home. The same for the inside. If there had been 10 stars, I would have checked them all. The service was great and the installing team were very polite and helpful, for a wonderful job done.
THey were very courteous and did a great job installing my windows also did a good job cleaning up. They took the time to show me how the windows work and explained to me what steps would be taken for the inspection all of which new south handled.I would recommend this company and liked that they were local so if an issue does arise it would be taken care of sooner than later
So I purchased a condominium and wanted new windows installed. My wife called 3 different places for a quote so we could compare prices and quality. We had no problem getting 2 of them but New South Windows refused to come out unless I was home with her. My wife is perfectly capable of handling this and it is a shame in this day and time that a company would still think that a woman is not. Needless to say we did not get the quote and would never use this company based on their gender bias. Total shame !!!
NewSouth Windows are spectacular. From the initial phone call, to the sales process, and final installation and all the coordination in-between, the company has been a pleasure and hassle free experience. Its rare to find a contractor with this level of professionalism. Typically I am calling, emailing, and trying to get a response, not with these guys! They took care of every detail and kept me up-to date and apprised of the status and next steps the whole way through. I highly recommend them, not only for customer service, but their product is bar-none in the hot Florida climate!
Window looks great! Just had my replacement window installed and everything went smoothly the entire process. Never felt pressured and they called regularly during the manufacturing process to give me updates and let me know my install was still on track. Install was professional and they cleaned up everything just as it was before. Highly recommended!
