This place is the definition of quaint. Small yet friendly staff. Very quiet atmosphere. Perhaps a bit too quiet for some people. The music was hardly noticeable.That being said the atmosphere feels like your great grandmothers kitchen. Welcoming and soft.The desserts were great. A bit on the over indulgent side but everyone’s tolerance for sweets is different I suppose.It’s not somewhere I would go out of my way for but if you are in the neighborhood I would definitely give this quick dessert shop a try.

Best dessert place in Tampa by far! Actually probably the best in Florida. All custom made by a master baker, the cakes, macarons, ice cream, pies, etc are all amazing. Also great coffee and tea. Guaranteed you will love it!

Cute little sweets and coffee place that has amazing macaroons, cakes, ice cream and lattes. I’m so glad they opened up again because their glitter lattes were very unique! We had an assortment of macarons but sadly they didn’t have any coffee when we visited.It’s a very quiet place and would be good to work or study from but bring your devices charged since I didn’t notice any outlets. The staff is very friendly and even gave us free water bottles since they didn’t have coffee when we visited. I highly recommend if you want a unique sweet experience.

What a quaint place! Parking lot with ample spaces. When you enter, youll notice the charm - desserts displayed on different color and height cake stands, items are presented on all different dishes, soft lighting, old doors hanging from the ceiling. Several tables available if youd like to sit and enjoy your sweets. It was about a half hour before closing when we arrived so Im sure their inventory was much greater earlier in the day but we were still impressed with the options. They offer cake and pie by the slice, macarons, ice cream, specialty coffees. The 4 of us shared a slice of coconut cake, salted caramel cake, a macaron, and a slice of brownie pie. All were incredible. The owner stopped at our table to greet us and was very friendly. We will definitely return! This would be a great place to go for date night dessert 😊

Absolutely incredible and so glad we found Dessert Pi! There’s nothing else like it in Tampa. All the cakes and desserts we have tried taste so fresh and real (not synthetic or fake frosting like a lot of other places have). The owner Kim and her team are very friendly too.

The prices can be a bit startling,but if the two macaroons I had are any indication, then the more expensive desserts will be worth it. I’m not a big macaron fan, but really enjoyed the vanilla and blackberry ones I had. If only getting one, I’d suggest one of the fruity flavors as they have a center filling that goes above and beyond the plain vanilla. I look forward to returning to try other desserts.

The desserts are a bit expensive but they are really good, especially, the raspberry chocolate pie.The charcoal coffee is worth trying.

Love to support local businesses and have been a Seminole Heights resident for 35+ years. I made a special trip to get a unique dessert for my 39th wedding anniversary. Purchased two different large pieces of cake for a total of $16. Very disappointing in addition to expensive. The cake frosting was dry and inedible. Age was definitely a factor in the quality but for the prices charged the trip was not worth it.

The latte flavors are unlike anything youll find elsewhere in Tampa Bay. Theyre not too sweet either. The Salted Caramel Rose Latte is unreal: nuanced flavors, nothing overpowering, but you do taste the floral, salty and sweet notes.

This place packs a lot of quality into a small space. There is outdoor seating as well. Awesome cakes and baked goods, but what really blew my mind was the ice cream. It whats just amazing. They make their own ice cream and it really show. Great flavor and very smooth and creamy. Next level.

Unique coffee/dessert shop right next to the Epicurean hotel. They serve hand crafted coffee as well as many desert options. My favorite thing to have here is the Black Suede with edible glitter. It is a very unique coffee drink and unlike anything Ive ever had.Parking can be a bit tough but there is a small reserved parking lot on the bottom floor of the garage. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone going to the South Tampa area.

First time visiting but I have been seeing these amazing iced latte drinks on social media and decided I had to try one. The Neapolitan tasted as good as it looked. Also tried a delicious chocolate mousse tart. They have a nice selection of deserts on display. My wife said I have to go back so we can try something else!

Excellent. Great place to stop on the weekend for a treat. Have gone a few times and some things stand out.The cakes are tip top. The raspberry cream and the guava were both excellent. I cant say enough about them. Thankfully we only bought a slice of each. The peanut butter and chocolate tart was also delicious and I will get that again.On the cake front, Im going to keep trying them all because there is always a new flavor that looks interesting.Decor is cool inside and the parking is nice and easy. I havent tried their coffee yet but they have lots of coffee and espresso options.

Called and ordered a cake for my wifes 50th (dont worry, she is not shy about it). I checked with the restaurant to make sure we could bring and we could. When I came to pick it up, it was beautiful! My wife (and our friends) loved it. Even had someone in the restaurant ask what it was called on the menu. I explained we go it from Chocolate Pi. Thanks for helping make her birthday special.

I used to not like macarons until I had the macarons at Chocolate Pi. The strawberries & champagne cake and the brown sugar pie are also to die for. Service is always great and the place is super cute and charming.

I Have been wanting to try this place for a while,I should have left it at that, well I went yesterday to get a few desserts for a friends dinner party.Upon entering the smell,the sad display cases And no presence of an employee,my first inclination was to leave,but alas an unenthusiastic employee appereared. i approched the counter to my 3 cake choices,i chose a slice of a peach cake a blueberry cake and a banana handpie type delite .well dessert time came and the cakes were dry dry dry oh did i mention they were dry,and tasteless,the icing was bleh, sweetened crisco would have been more enjoyable.while the banana thing had an enjoyable cream the pastry was that of a crust of shortening and flour that was tasteless beyond belief.all these rave reviews leads me to believe they were paid actors or friends and relatives of owner.or at one time this place was edible.for now i reccommend Walmart bakery or a tastykake from Wawa would be a much better choice.as the three of us all had a small taste and the three desserts? went in the garbage.WHAT A WASTE OF $23.00 besides having no sweets after our amazing chinese food.

Very cute shop with homemade ice cream and sodas, tons of flavors of macaroons, and espresso drinks! They even give you a choice for which espresso bean you want. Definitely should visit sometime.

Has a very cute set up. They’re locally owned so the coffee and sweets are very fresh and yummy. The lattes have very sophisticated relaxing flavors. I had the salted rose latte, it was very pretty and had a more bitter taste, which i liked, i would recommend getting it if you aren’t a fan of more sweet coffees. I also had the raspberry rose macaroon which was also very good, it tasted kinda like fruit loops but better, it was also very pretty it had some rose petals on it. The workers where also very nice and friendly, the lady who helped me was very patient and sweet she was actually the one who recommended the salted rose latte was to me. Overall, it was a very nice and calming experience i will for sure be coming back here and introduce this place to more people.

This past week chocolate pi made the most beautiful birthday cake for my birthday. They took the time to go above and beyond after a small misunderstanding. They communicated promptly and well with me and my husband. This small business is all about the little things and attention to detail. It is apparent that they love what they do and are about creating more than desserts, they create magic. I’ve been coming to chocolate pi since they opened initially in SoHo, and they are the only small patisserie shop that I will ever go to. It’s more than sugar and flour. There is love and joy in every bite. ✨💗

I’ve wanted to try this place since it was located on Howard, but was never open. Then today 8/22/2020, I was in Seminole Heights and found the new location. The lady (employee 1) that was making coffee was very kind and helpful. Her co-worker (employee #2) no so, she never acknowledged me. There were customers (large group) ahead of me, she finished up with them. I waited at the register for her to return, nothing. Another customer walked in and #2 started helping them right away. Not until #1 said something to #2, I was finally acknowledged. I was so displeased I left without service. I was looking forward to delicious treats and coffee, maybe it’s not meant for me to experience.

Really wanted to support this small business....I went in just before Valentines Day to get some items for my mother . I found these items extremely overpriced and there was very little to choose from. The customer service was extremely inefficient at helping customers. I waited 10 minutes or more for 1 person in front of me. I would not go back.

OMG I am so happy that this place reopened. I fell in love with Chocolate Pi awhile back when my husbands father had a birthday cake made for me. This is one of the best dessert spots in Tampa. It’s a MUST!!! I love that they can make custom cake flavors to my liking. Everyone go here!

Update: I understand that things happen and Chocolate Pi was very responsive and had a legit reason for the delay so I respect this and change my review. Customer service is very responsive and like I said the macaroons are delicious will give it another shot!I showed up at 12pm and saw a blonde lady enter store so I waited a few minutes then tried the door but the door was locked. I sat in my car for another five minutes and tried again but still locked and she saw me there LOL so I went to spaddys across the street for my coffee instead since chocolate pi wasnt in a rush for my business. I later called around 12:15 to see if they were open and the lady who answered said yes theyve been open since 12 😑 so I drove across the street to grab some macaroons (since I was already there, I drove from trinity) and they were very good.

We ordered our wedding cake from Chocolate Pi. The price (about $320) was just about the same as Publix, however the quality of the cake was way beyond what Publix offered or could deliver. We were given a tasting of 4 cake flavors before we ordered. (Chosen from a list of about 15 flavors.) We picked champagne flavor. Many of the wedding guests told us our wedding was wonderful, and then said the cake was the best they ever tasted. One guest from Atlanta ordered one for his wifes birthday. My wife took it by plane to the birthday party (since she was going up there to visit and to the party). Note: the flowers on our cake came from Bay Bouquet on Platt Street, another fantastic business!

2nd time in. Cake was dry, ice cream texture/flavor was not great and while the build out is cute it looks dirty especially where food is displayed. We were excited for the opening but the price point seems crazy for Seminole Heights. $7 for a slice of cake, $12 for a small tart and $7 for two scoops of ice cream. Both times we spend over $25. Hopefully they can make some changes now that they are no longer in Hyde Park .

Full disclosure, this review is based on service, not quality of their product.We are in the middle of a pandemic and businesses have to change their operational best practices, schedules, etc. I get it, everything is messed up right now.They have published in Google their hours are 12-7, I drove there and arrived at 12:10, they had a signed posted that their hours are 12 - 7 Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays. Today is Thursday.The doors were locked but I could clearly see a woman tyiding up. I waited at least 5 min at the door, called their number twice, and knocked on the door. No acknowledgement of me being at the door.If you post at your door and on Google you open at 12, then the expectation from your customers is that you are open at 12:10. I waited until at least 12:20 before driving away.As I said before, we are on difficult times, I get it, but you lose business by breaking commitments to your customers

Good addition to Seminole Heights. Desserts, ice cream, and coffees. Odd they arent open on Sunday. Hope they make it go. Good place. Good desserts. Would recommend.

Beautiful and delicious! Everything is made from scratch, extremely intentional, and sooooo yummm! We tried the double chocolate cake, the raspberry cake, and the salted caramel cake - as well as an assortment of macaroons. Every bite was amazing! We cant wait to go back for some delicious coffee and to try the homemade ice cream! Kim and her staff have knocked it out of the park! We are so thankful they have reopened here in Seminole Heights!

Took my mom here after her birthday dinner for dessert and coffee. My parents enjoyed it so much. My dad insisted he got a standard americano and ended up sipping at my moms lavender lemon latte the entire time. The champagne macaroon is amazing! My parents loved the raspberry macaroon with fresh raspberries and lemon tart in the center. My boyfriend loved the blue lady slice of cake. You can request edible glitter for your coffee. It adds wow factor.

Amazing! Cute pink decorated place. Delicious guava cake and the icing was not too sweet, which I find typically happens if I dont make it from scratch at home. Tea and coffee brewed with a handcrafted flair. The peppermint ice cream is also fresh and homemade tasting. Well presented, delightful place for a sweet snack with free parking until 5pm, after that $5 valet.

I would have easily given this place a 5 star if it was not for the rude lady who assisted us with our order. Seemed like she didnt want to be at work that day, but everything we purchased was amazing. If one understands coffee, you know how distinct coffee can taste from one place to another. And they have the best distinct coffee I have ever had. Great cakes.

Their hours blow. Situated around restaurants,but not open for dessert/coffee after dinner on a Friday night. Unless of course, you have dinner while the sun is still shining. They close promptly at 8pm. Fairly useless, like a coffee shop that opens at 10am would be. Too bad, it had promise, but inaccessible for ppl with day jobs. This must be a side hobby for a house wife that doesnt need the money.

Simply divine! This shop is pure bliss. The commitment to excellence is evident in every corner, from the decor to their customer service to their scrumptious desserts. We tried several items from the menu: The vanilla caramel cupcake❤️The graham cracker ice cream❤️Pistachio macaroon❤️Champagne macaroon❤️ and regular coffee❤️. Chocolate Pi is a must visit!P.S. Loved it. Nice boutique cafe with very good treats. Prices are a bit on the high side, but the location demands that. Right across from one of the most expensive steak restaurants in town makes prices high.Still worth every penny. More of the once in a blue moon for me, but I recommend nonetheless.

I was looking for a place close by to grab a slice of cake and was pulled in by the beautiful and not so typical variety of cakes and coffee flavors. I can’t remember the exact name but I had the salted rose water cappuccino...I added in some sugar and wow! I had a bite of the vanilla cake with raspberry jam and oh my god...I’ve never tasted something so good. My sister who came with me (and happens to know a thing or too about quality cakes) got the salted caramel chocolate cake and again wow! She was blown away herself. We will definitely be returning!!

I stumbled on this little gem while looking for a nice coffee and dessert after dinner. As soon as you walk in the delicious smell is like a welcoming hug. Everything is beautifully displayed and the staff is as sweet as the treats. I ordered a mocha latte, a slice of dark chocolate cake and one of every chocolate they had. I talked my partner in crime into getting glitter yes I said glitter on her latte. The menu is larger than just coffe and cake so I will definitely be back to try more treats.

First of all. The people working there were awesome and so helpful. It was our first time and they were super helpful and patient with me. There is so much to choose from and it can literally paralyze you. But they had great recommendations and genuinely seemed excited and proud of their product..I tried a couple of the mason jar desserts and some of the cake. It was absolutely amazing. Im not even big on desserts and usually find then to be overrated and overpriced but these are worth every cent. Definitely recommend giving them a try! I cannot wait to go back for more

I contacted them about making a small baby shower cake because I had had one of their cakes at a relatives event. I finally received an email response back from someone after several days asking a few questions about the date of my event and what I needed, etc. I responded back (immediately) and sent a picture of the simple cake design I wanted. After the passing of ANOTHER week and hearing nothing, I sent a follow up email asking if they were available to make the cake....its been over a month and still zero response. I would have completely understood the bakery not having time to make my cake, but a simple response back is a common courtesy. Theyre extremely unprofessional and obviously, not reliable!

Coffee tastes nice but the customer service is HORRIBLE! I ordered a black suede iced to go and was argued with about the fact that it being iced wouldnt work. My sister ordered a black suede for here and they brought it out in a to go cup. When we asked them to fix it the girl refused. We had to ask the second associate to remake her cup. Probably wont come back.

After years of buying from this household/store front bakery I’m now a bit disappointed. The store front is less than impressive when it comes to a variety of desserts. I’ve visited several times in the new location and heard many people in line ask for cupcakes which can only be order ahead, like 24 hours ahead and they’re attached to a hotel. Employees not very personable and their not paying attention to details when it comes to cleanliness. Need to see more ownership in this once great little local bakery spot.

Heaven on Earth if you love macaroons or healthier ingredient cakes! May be a little pricey, but I only go once a month or so. I had a delightful pistachio macaroon- theirs are larger than average- and a chai tea latte. My daughter tried one of their specialty drinks called strawberry shortcake I believe, which was incredible! Parking is free as youre pulling into hotel nextdoor- the valet will direct you- no need to stress finding street parking. 😁

Great shop with a shabby chic atmosphere! I personally love the cupcakes but the macarons are also divine! The homemade sodas are great and refreshing and the service matches the atmosphere, relaxed and personable.
