I took my laptop in to have it fixed by Landshark IT in February and have still not received it back, it is now August 6th. It has been six months with little to no communication from Landshark. I have called their phone number many times to either have no answer, confusing communication such as “uh let me call you back” and never get a call back, or to be put on hold and then hung up on. Their communication needs to be improved.Due to COVID, I understand that computer parts are not easy to get and I will say whoever I spoke to on the phone who tried to fix my MacBook tried many times to find a working part for my laptop but he could not get it to work. Rather than calling me and updating me on the progress of the laptop, I was never called and made aware of what was going on. I had to call them in order to find out that there was absolutely no progress made after about five months of them having it.I was also promised that I would hear word if there were any updates yet for months I was never called. This worried me so I called them back, left voicemails, and left my phone number. Only to find out they could not fix it after finally getting ahold of someone on the phone. It was unprofessional of them to tell me I would hear back and then never be called back for months on end.A little over two weeks ago I asked for Landshark to ship my laptop to me because due to COVID, I had to move out of the state. I was told it would take 4-5 days. I have not seen my laptop in six months, I am not sure where it is, I don’t know if it is even in the mail as I was told, and I’m unsure if I’ll see it again.Due to their failure to communicate, I had to buy another laptop in order to have a working one for college. If I was communicated with from the start, I believe I would have been able to send it elsewhere, have it fixed, and have it ready to use by the time I started back in school. I don’t think they considered this, even knowing I was a college student whose courses were obviously moved all online due to the pandemic.Landshark, if you’re reading this, please send me my laptop.
