This is my 3 rd time going there and I absolutely love it. Great place to hang out over the weekends or sit quietly on comfy couches and read. The barista Wes and the other girl I forgot her name they both are super friendly and creative. If you like customized coffee they will try their best to create it, just ask for it. The ambience feels really homey and relaxing. And please dont forget to play the African safari themed chess.

Came here for the first time a couple of weeks ago to meet up with a friend. The mocha latte I had was delicious and tasted great!! Also, I enjoyed the ambiance and loved the nice chairs. I have never been to a coffee shop that had an actual bar. Im definitely coming back here again.

The drinks and the staff are awesome! I love to write here, and the music is just loud enough that it helps me concentrate. Lots of milk options too. And the staff knows a lot about their drinks and are happy to talk to people about them. Definitely drop by if youve never tried Kava, but youre into the idea. 10/10.

I love this place I always come here to study and do homework and the people there are so friendly. The baristas there always try to get to know you and always try to make your experience great. The atmosphere truly makes this place 10 times better than any other coffee shop or kava bar around here

Bula!! I was craving a late night oat milk latte and a nice place to focus on work. This place is it. The atmosphere is laidback and casual. Perfect place to study or work and enjoy their kava or coffee.

I love this place so much, Im pretty much a regular at this point. If you want to unwind after a long day at work, or bring some friends to hang out. This is the spot to be. All the bartenders are awesome.

Been going there for a few weeks now. Very good coffee, Very good lattes. The Bulletproof coffee is very good too. Nice atmosphere.But parking is almost non-existent. Several times i went there only to turn around because there is just no parking.I found this place to get away from Starbucks terrible parking, and now it seems this one is the same way.

Something familiar something nice. Small and welcoming. I was very happy when i heard that Bula was opening a tampa location. As a guy who visits Bula Kafe and Bula on the beach this is a welcome change. The kava and kratom are still on point. The staff just as friendly.

After taking my dog here for months on Fridays without issue, I went on a Saturday evening. After spending $50 at the bar, I was informed by a bus boy that my dog wasnt welcome. I dont mind if a business isnt dog-friendly, but be consistent. And, have the bartender tell me before you take my order instead of the bus boy informing after Ive spent my money. I wont be back.

I started drinking kava/kratom a few years ago so Ive been kava bar hopping for awhile. I stumbled across Bula a few months ago, and THIS place. All of the staff are so so welcoming and friendly.The one person who specifically made this place special for me and my friends, is Jason. He carries the best energy every time hes working. He is so educated on all the drinks and can provide you with any questions you have if you are new to the kava scene. Hands down one of the best kava-tenders Ive ever met and hes become a great friend. Thanks Bula and thank you Jason!!

My local friends favorite Kava place, and my first kava I ever had. Which gave me an Interesting tingly feeling in my mouth. Cant recall what we ordered but it was amazing, coconut something with a espresso shoot. Anyway the store looks beautiful, there was a fun crowd inside and the kavarista was very friendly and quick.Only note for first timers you have to dig a bit deeper for such kavafantastic drink.Think of a long drink price range.

This is not a positive review. Kava bars are a place for people to go to relax, socialize, meet people, get work done, have a sense of community, and much more. I started drinking kava in Hawaii and it was the only hang out thing for me to do. When I found out St. Pete has kava bars, I was so happy. One of the owners was rude. No customer service. It’s interesting these people claim they do Ayahuasca but I find the way they act is more absent from the ways that the sacred plant medicine teaches.I hope one day you embody what it means to drink kava to create a community and bring people together.Namaste 🕉

What a wonderful find! Bula Kavanada came up on a Google search and it is a definite winner! Super cute, comfy welcoming atmosphere, friendly helpful barrista, and great kava, tea and coffee selections. I had a delish Matcha Frappe and I will be back to try out more of the tea choices.

As a trained herbalist with over 20 years experience in my field, 25 years of drinking kava in the US and Fiji, and traveling to over 27 different countries studying and working with plant medicines I believe I know good kava and a good kava bar when i am in one.While it is not a traditional kava bar atmosphere, Bula kava bar and coffee house in Tampa is a cozy place with wonderfully friendly staff and fellow customers. The kava and kombucha are simply wonderful and the nitro coffee is spectacular. The conversations I had with a fellow customers and the extremely friendly staff members Wes and Zoey on my last 3 visits was wonderfully engaging. It is quite clear how much they love their jobs. Bringing community together is exactly what kava is all about, and Bula Kava Bar and coffee house has done the wonderful service to the Tampa area. .

This place has poor service. I ordered 2 kratom teas with peach flavoring via Uber eats. The tea arrived tasting like they put maybe half a squirt of the sweetener if any at all. That would be fine if they didn’t charge to add it to the drink, also they put no filter on the tea. It legit looked as if someone who had diarrhea filled the cup. I will never purchase from them again and I suggest you don’t either.

My first kava experience was magical! This spot is light and airy with great staff and an awesome menu (teas, specialty drinks and coffee). Spent the afternoon studying and trying different concoctions. Will definitely be back!

As soon as I walked in I was greeted with a smile and such a warm hello from the woman behind the bar. She introduced herself as Ashley and asked had I ever been there. I had not and Ashley took the time to explain the breakdown of Kava and Kratom, the effects on the body and mood, and gave her own suggestions based on my responses. I NEVER had someone in a coffee shop do that! I was so blown away by her customer service and extensive knowledge. She absolutely represented the brand. The atmosphere is so chill and welcoming. The vibes are great here too. I have found my new favorite spot in Tampa!!

The kava latte was one of the best kava drinks I’ve ever had, but not a single person (not even the people WORKING THERE) were wearing masks. As Florida continues to see 4,000 new covid cases per day, this was very uncomfortable and I won’t be returning. Not until the pandemic is over at least.

I always enjoy drinking coffee here. It is honestly almost better than Starbucks. I always do my work here sometimes . Very relaxing and cozy.

I love this place so much. Its so cozy and friendly and everyone is ready to relax. The kavatenders always know exactly what I need. Today I walked in amd just said give me something that will stop a panic attack and I dont know what it was but it made me feel so much better. Jason even asked if Id like the music softer if I was upset! Amazing. Jason was so nice and attentive even though the bar was packed and he had so much to juggle hes a true master at his craft. Got a Kava latte with 1/2 regular milk 1/2 oat chocolate milk and it was amazing! Kiera was super knowledgeable and I really enjoyed my first Kava bar experience.

The place sparkles with contemporary artwork and is always spotless when it comes to cleanliness. Gabi is a sheer joy to be around and her kavatending is spectacular. While visiting my old home of Tampa Bay, we decided to drop into this Fijian kava bar and cafe! We were so presently surprised to step into our nostalgia from our Fijian honeymoon in 2018!Wes, was the barista and he made the day! He served us a little kava ceremony, made me a bomb cortado and had great conversations!The ambience was very Fijian and authentic and brought us back to the Fijian islands! Awesome lounge couches, great books to read, essential oils flowing and so much more!We love this place and will tell everyone about it! Cannot wait to visit here from Atlanta again soon and hopefully move back one day soon!

No one is wearing masks. Not even the people who work there. There are covid signs up too talking about wearing masks and staying six feet apart but that all goes out the window when you walk in. Even walking in with a mask as a worker youd think to respect that viewpoint and mental safety of your customers and pop one on yourself but no. Unfortunately I was so excited to try a new coffee joint that I failed to realize this point until after I had ordered my coffee and didnt even end up drinking it because of the lack of masks and sanitation. In a world like today where covid is at an all time high I think the safety of your guests should be put first.

Bula Kava & Coffee is a welcome addition to the neighborhood! The staff is friendly and the selection they had for the soft opening (kava and kratom) was really nice. Newcomers to kava and kratom will be in good hands here.Theyve done a great job with this decor of this spot, and a nonalcoholic night hangout spot is really needed in the Heights. Parking is tight, so walking or biking would be an option for those nearby.

I regularly work out, have dinner come here drink the Konbucha and then inevitably asleep on the couch for a few minutes like Im at home! They serve something called kava here too Ive heard but its a good place to chill with good coffee.

My first time staying in Tampa from NYC I was in search of great coffee. Upon visiting many locations in the area I stumbled upon Bula. I came in for Coffee but left with so much more. It was a morning routine to get coffee and start my day however the atmosphere, staff, and positivity that floods the room kept me coming back for more. I was introduced to Kava with a plethora of information from the staff. Kava was an amazing Fitness recovery from my half marathon. I highly recommend this location, it’s a great place to relax, socialize, and unwind from morning to night. You may come in for the drinks but you return for the outstanding experience!!

So this was my first time coming here. Brought my wife and we had a really good time. Emily our bartender, was really cool and down to earth. She explained everything to us. Really cool place. The first time I came in I immediately knew this was a place I would return to regularly. The space is beautifully set up with some really great comfy seating but also a solid work space area, depending on what you need for the day.
