“I can say, I have never had such horrible customer service, ever in my life, as I experienced in this location. As I walked in, no one greeted me because they were too occupied looking at their cell phones. They were playing inappropriate music as well. As I came in to upgrade my phone, I was talked out of upgrading my phone, and told to go to the Apple store to make a purchase. Not only were the employees rude and unprofessional, but they made me feel as if I knew nothing about cell phones at all. I can only assume because it was close to closing, that they didn’t want to be bothered by any customers, so they would be able to leave on time. Not only will I be closing my Verizon account, but I will be taking my business to T-Mobile. The customer service at this location was nonexistent. It makes me wonder, how anyone of this poor caliber would be allowed to work in the customer service field. If I could give this location zero stars I would. My advice is, if you plan on purchasing a new phone go to T-Mobile don’t waste your time with Verizon.

My husband’s phone died a sad death by cooler immersion….we live in Virginia in Virginia and were visiting my parents. He was able to grab one of their old iPhone 4’s so we brought it in - on a Sunday at 1pm! Prime time! It was packed. After waiting for 30 minutes we were still way down the list. The nicest gentleman working the front door took matters in his own hands and offered to help us out. After multiple attempts to get this phone turned on using IT (30 minutes on the phone) we had no luck. So he said he had one more trick and attempted to do a reset on his own and voila, the phone turned on. Thanks so much to the wonderful man who worked Sunday afternoon 6/27! He didn’t have to help us but went out of his way.

Not sure what is going on with management at this location. Made an appointment on Oct 1 for 10 am on Saturday, Oct 2. Showed up at 9:57 am ready for my appointment and all the window coverings were closed. Walked up to the door and there is a letter printed on a piece of paper stating they can’t open Oct 2 due to staffing shortage. Management at this location seem to have a lack of foresight where they can’t figure out how to send out cancel notifications before the day of appointment or make it to where you can’t get an appointment the day before they would not be open. The lack of foresight is pretty bad. I got a cancel notification for a 10am appointment at 11:48 am.

Worst experience ever at a Verizon. I went to get a new iPhone 12 max pro and an ipad. I wasted 2 hours in there and left with no phone after paying about $850.00 and after them trying to charge me an another $130.00 because they claimed to not know that I was charged the full $850.00. I had them return my money and I left. Make sure to get someone that knows what theyre doing there. If not, you are in trouble. The manager was no help either. They dont even know the promotions Verizon advertise or dont say because theyd prefer us to pay full price. Such a complete waste of my time. I still need a new phone.

The general manager did a fantastic job. I just wish I could remember his name. I wish my manager was this attentive to the customers and doing whatever they could to keep the store running smoothly. I wish I could give more stars because this was the best Verizon experience Ive ever had, best cell phone store experience Ive ever had. 500,00/5 stars. Maybe more. Gus helped us out tremendously and my husband and I bought phones and a Verizon credit card because he was just such a great salesman. Kudos to all who work here.

After I ordered my new phone online, I went to the store for pickup. Had some issues that the store manager helped me through. Finally got my phone and out the door right before closing. But I realized that I had no service. So I went back in and the store manager stayed with me almost an hour after closing until we had an answer as to what was wrong. Great store! Great people!

My new phone stopped making or receiving calls. So I drove into the Verizon owned company store on Dale Mabry. They took less than half an hour to figure out my vpn had caused a glitch and reset the phone. Great job guys!

I went there without an appointment due to the emergency nature of my phone. The manager Anthony, was very calm and reassuring that I would not leave unless I was completely satisfied; he was true to his word. My phone issue was taken care of at the store. Everyone there including the customers, practiced being safe while maintaining social distancing. Thank you Anthony!

My experience at this store wasn’t all so bad until I realized they sold me something without disclosing that there is a return period of 14 days. Now I’m stuck with a brand new iPhone 12 that has terrible service and unable to return it because that information was never disclosed to me. That’s taking advantage of a client by not letting me know my options.

I had a great experience inside this Verizon store recently. Very knowledgable staff who were able to diagnose my issue and resolve it. I dont remember many names, but the manager, Gary, was extremely pleasant and helped ease my frustration with my phone when I arrived. I went to the store at 1000 on Thursday 2-25-21 to purchase a Samsung Galaxy S21ultra. My salesman was REP:kelldo3-E0EQP.. I purchased the phone and before leaving asked Kelldo3 if I needed anything else to which he stated no. I get home to activate the phone and there is a cable but no plug in the box so I have a phone that I cannot charge and therefore is totally useless. I find out from the 800 number that the plug is not included and must be purchased separately which brings me to the point of if he is a Verizon sales rep and it is his job to sell me a phone how can he not know that a plug is not included with the phone. He must have called out sick on the plug not included with Samsung Ultra plug not included day. Total disappointment dealing with someone that does not know their job.

I did not have a desirable experience at this location. I went into upgrade my phone, and my sales representative seemed distracted by his own personal phone, and not very engaged in our conversation. He would answer some questions and then go back to his own phone.It turns out they were out of stock on the new iphones so an order was placed online to have a phone shipped to me. At no time did the sales representative mention a $40 upgrade fee, or the fact that if I did it myself it would be half that price ($20, which i later found out online) I swiped my credit card assuming it was probably just the taxes but even that wasn’t explained. When I got home I saw the digital receipt that was sent to a different email in which I didn’t have access to at the time, and that it included a $40 upgrade fee, I was upset. I called CS and they told me that I should go in and talk to the GM.I went in the following day and spoke with Gary, the GM who was not friendly at all, and did not seem to believe me when I told him of the experience I had with the sales rep the previous day. Overall he seemed rude and I was very upset by the whole situation. I asked him if he could atleast return $20 of the fee because the fee to order the phone online is only $20, and all I did was order it online. He said no because I was in the store he would charge me the whole amount. My account is over 16 years old with 6+ lines and I was at ready to just cancel the entire order and fight the restock fee, after how my conversation went. His attitude and lack of desire to help me left me feeling like Verizon did not care about me as a customer and I don’t think that’s how customers should be treated.I followed up with CS, who was more than happy to rectify the situation.I would not recommend this particular Verizon to people, there are plenty of others nearby.

The dont understand what was wrong in my phone.The told me that, the phone I want to activate is no longer recognized by the Verizon company update software, and the told me its unfaction anymore,it is the oldest products:the phone has been brought recently and it was the new phone, However, now the phone is work by using WiFi,and their telling me that,the phone is older products,and instead of helping me to find out from Verizon company, what is wrong with this phone since their dealers, But, their busy to selling me other phone and charging me extra$20 for setting the phone out of the activition and out of bill of the new phone. The needs to be more helpful to the customer, rather then looking the money and to find out the real reason.

I had a terrible experience at this location. I went in because my screen started glitching but didnt have any visible cracks. The guy told me I needed to file an insurance claim but I couldnt since I had no phone. He called saurian for me and lied that my screen was cracked and encouraged me to physically damage my screen before I went into the repair place (which could have internally damaged my phone)... so turns out it was a faulty screen when I had it replaced the last time and was no fault on my end. How unprofessional. The other staff people were acting unprofessional as well, only one guy was normal and nice. They also lied about me being able to trade in my phone and apply the difference to the payoff amount and said I couldnt do that which I found out later I could. BS.

I had a bad experience here. I brought in my iPhone SE to talk about replacing the battery, and the guy insisted that there was no way to do it. He had me ready to buy a $450 phone replacement. I love my SE because its small. He said there was no way out. I got home and looked online and called fixmastermobile, which has tons of five-star reviews. Took it in and they replaced the battery for 50 bucks. Its working great, and they stand by their work. Besides, the guy that I worked with was extremely unprofessional. Seems like it was his first job ever. When I asked second person if the battery could never be replaced, he confirmed also. Ill never come here again, Ill go to fix master mobile

Jerry, the general manager is terrible to deal with. My daughter is alone and stuck in Tampa with a broken phone and had no way to contact anyone. After spending the entire day on the phone with Verizon customer service, I was finally able to order and pay for a new phone so all she had to do was pick it up. The manager refused to give her the phone. So here I am on online with customer service again....we are now almost 24 hours into this ordeal of trying to get her a phone. He could have just done the right thing but the guy is just rude and should not be managing anything.

Changing review from 4 stars to 1 star. After first visit and good experience I went back to finally get the service. Got two new phones, switched 3 lines from ATT to Verizon. When I walked out of the store I realized I havent been given any receipt or paperwork that would show monthly payments. I walked back in and requested for monthly bill and break down. I noticed my number was incorrect hence wrong number was being ported.After waiting over 1 hr issue was fixed. Verizon staff asked me to call Verizon support and cancel incorrect line even though it wasnt my mistake. When I got home my wifes number wasnt able to make or receive calls. I had to get online support to activate the number.When I talked to the manager about my experience she said mistakes happen. I wasnt compensated for inconvenience and waste of time in anyway...I wouldnt go back to this location again

I went in to purchase the new iPhone 11 and trade in my iPhone 8, they came from the back room after I swiped my credit card for the purchase with my new iPhone 11 still sealed in the box. They didnt offer set up or to even open the phone box I had to go home and take it out of its original packaging. I received a bubble envelope and a box to send my old phone in and was told to have a great weekend. This was the weirdest transaction Ive ever had in a Verizon.

As a business customer I am HIGHLY frustrated with this company. Received a promotion about 4 months ago for BOGO phones, then was offered a free iPhone 7 for signing up onto a business account. Well here we are month four, still being charged for our “free” phone.. have paid about $1600 in bills thus far INCLUDING STORE CREDITS AND DEALS, AND have been Into the location THREE-FIVE times to fix this issue with reassurance it would be fixed, then getting the same charges come are next bill. Business account manager here does not know what he is doing, and as a result we will be going to the Gandy location tomorrow in hopes someone can actually HELP us and solve the problem, in other words... do there job. Business owners I do not recommend you come here.Also, after trying to call both the associate to help us and the Business manger, we have been forwarded to voicemail each time. To make it even worse, the original business manager who signed us onto this originally “is no longer working at that store.” Frustration is an understatement at this point.

I went on Black Friday, and despite being very busy, my father and I were seen relatively quickly and easily. New plan was explained in a very confusing manner and didnt match up with what was in the advertising. What was explained was much better, but it was very confusing to have to be explained a half dozen times and it not match what was in print. Took pretty much 90 minutes to buy a new phone and get it transferred over to my account. Friendly, helpful staff.

Unless your phone is unusable, never opt for the Replacement Program. My device was having issues charging so I got a Factory Replacement which was even worse than my current phone that just took 10 hours to fully charge. The new phones headset speaker was broken. So after spending 2 hours transferring everything over to the new phone and putting on a new screen protector, all Verizon could tell me is better luck on the next replacement phone they would send you next day. Dont waste your time with insurance either, because it gets you the same worthless replacement, but you have to pay $150.

***Be aware of sleazy sales tactics***Visited the store today 6/7/16 for a iPhone upgrade. Unfortunately, I walked out of the store feeling like I was just at a buy here pay here used car lot. The salesman I had was very energetic and made himself to be an honest guy but I must have caught him in a handful of lies.I simply wanted to walk in, get a new iPhone and walk out within 30 minutes top. I ended up being there for over an hour due to all of the miscommunication caused from the lies the salesman was trying to give me. At one point a manager intervened on our conversation because he overheard me calling the sales guy out on a few lies and the manager tried to smooth it over but was too late.The sales reps will say anything to increase their sale . They make nothing off of a device sale so they push accessories like a phone case, charger, etc. In my case, it was a phone charger and when I told the sales rep that I did not want it, his attitude towards me changed.I know sales is a extremely tough job, but I do not believe anyone should have been treated the way I was today.LONG STORY SHORT:If you decide to visit this Verizon store, keep in mind the sales reps make most of their commission off of accessory sales (35% to be exact). Dont fall for their sneaky tactics to buy any, if even a small part of you thinks that you dont need it. Remember, there is always Amazon that will give you way more options for much less money.

It is most generally a waste of my time and staff are typically very unhelpful referring me to someone or somewhere else or to the vast internet without any real assistance given. This is a true Verizon store, a corporate store I think they call them. Not just a retail re-seller. These guys help me out of some of the quirkiest jams with me electronics and always manage to turn my aggravation around to something positive, usually with some cool new device that will keep me occupied for weeks to come. Not very good customer service. Went in trying to get an upgrade, had a scanned copy of my passport, my job ID with my picture on it, my online account with my stats, and was even recognized as having been a previous customer by an employee that was present, but because none of those things were hard copies of a government issued ID nothing could be done. Well they dont have to worry about recognizing me again, because I ont be going back there for my Verizon needs.

Our day began with complete frustration at the Northdale Verizon Wireless store. I should have known better, as they have almost always had an attitude of NO-CAN-DO. They literally told us that they couldnt help us.And - its not that they say no - they say it with arrogance and attitude, as if we are really stupid. (Hint: my wife earned her college degree AND masters degree at age 18)The Maya Angelou quote about how people NEVER FORGET how you make them feel is so true...So we went (out of our way) to the South Tampa location and requested the same assistance. They greeted us with a big smile and hello the moment we walked in, and EVERYTHING we asked for assistance with was completed within 5 minutes.Big thank-yous to Kristin and Joel and Tiffany. You are the best!(add-on) 2 days later, my wife was having a difficult time transferring data from her old phone to her new phone. As I was visiting I needed a new phone charger. When I went inside to simply purchase one, I was told I needed to wait to be helped which would be at least 30 minutes and he asked for my phone number for my account. I told them my situation and that I was in a hurry for a meeting and just needed a charger. The man then said to me Then I guess we cant help you. Incredibly rude. My 1.5 month-old iPhone was having issues, so I took it in and told the lady at the front that I was there to run a diagnostics test. I know that AT&T does it, because they have done that for me in the past, so I asssumed Verizon did too. She put me on the waiting list I sat in the corner and waited for about 30-35 minutes. Nobody came to check on me, and several other people had been helped, so I finally went up to the front. They had no idea that I was there waiting for somebody to help me the whole time, despite me even relieving a text confirmation for my wait time. Then they proceeded to tell me they don’t run diagnostic tests and to take it into the Apple Store. Had they told me this from the start, I would’nt have waisted my time, not to mention it’s a 20 minute drive from my house. I wasted over an hour of my time on a busy day, and my situation was handled very unprofessionally.

I went to the Verizon Wireless store on South Dale Mabry on Friday to purchase a new iPhone. I was greeted promptly by Nancy and taken to the iPhone display. After deciding on the Xs Max, Nancy returned with the phone and accessories. After I declined the insurance, the service went down from there. I was left with my new iPhone and no instructions on how to activate it, transfer pictures, contacts, etc. After approaching Nancy again and asking more questions, she gave me two handouts with instructions on activating the phone. She also informed me that Verizon no longer transferred pics, contacts, etc. because the store WiFi wasn’t strong enough to support this service for customers. Nancy explained that since I declined the insurance, she could not assist me with the set up. I remained in the store and activated the phone myself. I’ve been to this store many times over the years and purchased many phones, iPads, etc. i’ve never experienced this level of bad service over declining insurance.

The worst customer service Ive ever experienced. They messed up everything and we had to go in 3 times. We left with a phone that didnt even work after they assured us it would work after a couple hours. We returned phone cases and he didnt do the return until after we left for 6 hours because he forgot so my husband went in there for the 4th time to make sure it got returned. Ridiculous

Long waits, procedures to follow instead of simply helping/answering questions. The usual Verizon experience. Then, when it didnt work, told to call for service. Verizon service is closed at 11pm - so when you leave the Verizon store at 9pm and head home to try out things you were told would work - and they dont - well, youre not activating your phone at night. Most expensive network, not 24 your service.

Last night I was told by Alicia at *611 Verizon customer service that my old device was worth $30 but I would have to go into the Verizon store so they could process the $30 trade in and at the same time disconnect the service. She wrote this in the notesWhen I arrived at the Verizon store, I waited for the greeter to finish his texting and he then acknowledged me.I told him what Verizon Customer support told me. He said that my device had $0 trade in value and they cant disconnect service at the store. I asked to speak with someone else and he said theyre just going to tell me the same thing. I insisted and he told me to have a aeat.He spoke to Dave briefly and then had me talk to Dave. Dave read me the customer notes that Alicia left pretty much verbatim and said Alicia was wrong on both counts. I then asked him to contact someone.Dave couldnt reach Alicia or Alicias supervisor so he called customer support himself. He was on hold for what seemed to me to be a long time. Dave walked away and had a teammate monitor the hold and answer when they picked up. Casandra finally picked up. Dave told Casandra about the situation and listened to her speak for anwhile then said here, Casandra, please talk to the customer. Apparently Casandra refused because he had to asked her repeatedly to speak with me. Finally Casandra agreed to speak with me. She said the notes didnt say what Dave just read to me. I insisted that they did. She said she is not allowed to read the notes aloud to the customer. Casandra noticed that I have been a customer of Verizon Wireless for 15 years and that she would take care of it. She disconnected the service on the device and gave me the credit finally after being in the store for about 30 minutes or more. I told her thats all I wantes since I walked in the store.Summary: Verizon Wireless in general, the Verizon Store employees and, on a side note, Verizon Tech Coaches, are worthless. Verizon Wireless is becoming just like Verizon FiOS who I dropped many years ago for the same reason. I may be shopping for a new carrier if this keeps up.If you have a choice, dont choose Verizon Wireless.
