Wanted to give a review on this birthday cake I ordered for my mom. It was absolutely AMAZING!! The best birthday cake Ive ever had from a publix. They added natilla with freshly sliced strawberries into the center. Props to whoever made this one!!!

The food here is amazing! Whether its fried chicken, sub sandwiches, popcorn shrimp, it has all been great. My go to is the buffalo chicken tender sub! As far as groceries, the shopping experience is better than most. Prices can be a little higher than other stores, but the experience makes up for it.

Whats not to like at Publix theyre always clean their well stock they have amazing food and the staff is friendly

I was in Publixs picking up a few things right before a sinner party. Asking the Deli Manager a few questions regarding the difference in prosciuttos.  Next thing I know is Im waking up in the middle stall floor of the bathroom, side bandage up and missing a kidney. I will say Publixs has the cleanest public Bathrooms Ive ever seen and has great deli meats!

Ive written an earlier review at the time of this stores grand opening.. I shop at all of our Publix locations south of i275. I have everything memorized as far as: product locations, pricing and the store employees! I always try to help customers when I see them looking for something.. This location layout was completely different than the other Publixs in town but after shopping here many times over - youll grow accustomed to it!!!! Every Publix has its own personable touch!

Always pleased with my experience at the Gandy location. I love the fact that they carry specialty items that cant be found elsewhere. The associates are always helpful.

I generally enjoy shopping @ publix. Some employees here are great, but I had one bad run in with a customer service employee and he actually ended up walking away instead of just handling the issue. Granted I in a very polite tone of voice said F- you after he made a mistake, I work in customer service myself and I would definitely never walk away from an upset customer. Regardless of what theyre saying, hell even if theyre kicking and screaming Ill help. I now do all my shopping at the target next door. They understand me.

Clean, great product accessibility, fresh produce, polite courteous employees, Im satisfied when I spend my money at Publix.

There is this cashier, older lady gray hair. think her name is vivien. terrible attitude. tried to repeatedly tell me and my sister that we shouldn’t bag our instacart orders in paper bags even if requested by the customer. today when my sister asked for her bagger not to bag the cold with room temperature food she started going off talking about well we aren’t mind readers say something next time. anyone with common sense knows how to properly bag. she felt the need to express her feelings even after we told her no one asked. she kept going off and we had to call a manager. will not be coming here anymore if she is still employed there. thank you to the assistant manager julia for helping us with this situation.

I just want to share a fantastic Publix experience. My wife and I searched all over South Tampa for beef short ribs. This publix only had a portion of what we needed. I confirmed with the Sébastien that was all they had. We took what we thought was going to be a small birthday dinner for my wife. This gentleman not only rechecked their stock but actually found more than we needed. Then he walked the entire store to find us bringing what he found. This is why we will always be a Publix family. Publix employees go over and above every time. Thank you for being our hometown grocery!

This Publix has been here since I was a little girl and holds so many memories, good memories. It will forever be my go-to location simply for the nostalgia.

Great sushi! And wine selection is strong

Cashier clerks are fast and friendly. The fruit and vegetables are very fresh. They have a good assortment of foods from other countries.

I always have a great experience here. Sometimes the pharmacy doesn’t have my meds and sends me down Dale mabry, other than that it’s a nice clean grocery store.

My favorite Publix in the area. Easy to navigate and people are always friendly.

This review is strictly for the deli, as every other employee has always been friendly and helpful...i was the second person in line, but after the guy helped the lady in front of me, he went to the back of the store and started sweeping...completely ignored me...5 minutes later, I finally stared down a second employee to disturb him with my business...he grudgingly helped me, and I told him I had ordered a sub online..He went to MAKE it for me (so much for ordering online 30 minutes ahead of time to avoid that), and another 5 to 10 minutes later I was on my way..This particular deli is ALWAYS a long wait...should seek advice from the efficient deli in Britton Plaza

Dont like this place no meat counter I feel that this has lost the plot. Rather go to another publix store

I have shopped at this Publix for 15 years and have always been met with pleasantness helpfulness and nothing but the best of people. Except for just now, at the self-serve kiosk. The male employee who is working there at this time, basically called me stupid for not knowing that their register and the pay pad are not synced together. I have never experienced such rudeness from a Publix employee ever!

Went in too get the family some sandwiches. People Im telling you if you want a fresh sandwich here where it is at hot food as well. The staff is very helpful and them sandwiches was made with love alot of it!!💯💯

Just stop for some macaroni and cheese all richeese already cooked at or near the deli.

I have grown up going to this location and even worked here plus growing up my mom worked here for 12-15 yrs (dont remember).... They have always had amazing customer service, produce and a great selection of everything..... Even though I live closer to the one on Manhattan and Gandy I will always go to the one on himes and gandy..... If you are truly from this area (SOG) then you know this location is a historic landmark LMMFAO 🤣😂🤣😂.... Just wish they would put the original look at letters back, it looked better that way

This people work with music too loud. Also are ran out of everything. Manager and owners attention please.

Had a situation come up where I needed cupcakes asap, William from the Bakery was amazing, not only did he accommodate my needs but he was friendly and polite the whole time. I could not ask for a better Publix.

This is a good store, product is typically out, most likely a covington issue or trade issue not the stores fault. They are friendly.

The ordering on line is on point.sometimes they dont have what you want but if the shopper is a good one they will ask if you wanna change it for something else.. I like that...

Publix as always high expectations on service and quality. Bought sushi sad they didnt make the bowl sushi at this location but the regular sushi was so fresh and delicious I couldnt believe it!!

Very well run store. Friendly staff, clean and healthy stock levels. My only criticism with Publix is that their fresh garlic is awful-very old and never potent, often times on the verge of sprouting.please consider a new vendor. This is the only item I have to outsource.

Publix is a good grocery store. The old Gandy location is certainly due for a remodel.

I have always been happy with Publix but this Publix tends to fall short in freshness. I shop every couple days for produce to ensure its freshness and find that I will buy something here and by the next day it is already going rotten. I know Publix has great policy on returns but I dont want to have to bring food back that I am looking to eat

I noticed that none of the customers were wearing masks and the employees were wearing their masks below their nose. I won’t be going in there again.

Water is more present to buy than the machine at Gandy Commons.

Great staff, fully stocked, my only issue would be that the produce needs to be cleared more often I always manage to find a rotten tomato, pepper,or cucumber.

Honestly the worst Publix in Tampa. Isles are small and no one follows directional signs, not even employees. Staff are not helpful or friendly. Today at checkout the cashier accidentally opened a pre-made meal and her finger touched the food. She wiped her finger off and continued to bag the item. I asked for a return and she told me she couldn’t do that. Another staff member went to get a new one, but I just left after standing there waiting for 10 minutes. Deserves zero stars. If you think this is a great Publix, you obviously lack experiences with other local stores. I won’t be returning.

Great publix, most are. Can get busy when everyone gets off work and on the weekends but thats due to the location. They just added a Starbucks inside which is nice.

I gave the 5 stars out of courtesy because I would never rate a Publix anything less than that. But please please please, for the love of everything that is holy, limit the number of Pub Subs you can order to 2 per person. I was behind two people ordering at the glass yesterday, one was making 3 subs and the other was making 4.

This bakery is incredible!!!! I asked them for a design from a flat sheet cake to be incorporated on a two tier and they did NOT disappoint! Even left a sweet message on the receipt! It was better than I imagined it would be! Thank you Publix 💕
