Excellent selection of every major beer style and some cool unique styles. Their stock pilsner is a tasty, hoppier than usual drink, but still crisp German style. The triple hazy IPA is fruity and sweet, with a boat load of aromatic hops. Good stout and stand pale ale too. Staff is friendly and attentive. Great place overall!
Probably my favorite brewery in Tampa. The location is good (the outskirts of Ybor), the industrial atmosphere is awesome and of course Coppertail brews are great. If you like IPAs, their Free Dive is a must. Unholy is a trippel and also very good. My girlfriend enjoys sours and really likes their Sunken Grove. Besides that, this is a large brewery with ample seating inside and a patio with several tables outside. They have a pretty good menu compared to other breweries as well (I like their flatbread). If you enjoy visiting local breweries, Coppertail should be at the top of your list for Tampa.
Stopped for a bite on a weekend afternoon. Very good grouper tacos, but the sausage platter items were slightly overcooked. Good sauces with the sausage platter. Beers were excellent. Tried some non-standard ones that they had on tap and only a couple or to my liking. Highly recommend the Dunk beer.
Food was fantastic, the whole experience would have been 5 stars, but my only complaint is the two bartenders were very much going back and fourth, and the one bartender with the name “Emma?” with tattoos, was truly unpleasant and disregarded the question when I asked how was the “Rum Honey Grapefruit”. As a beer that was advertised, I would expect the beer-tender to give me some type of feedback, but all I got was entitlement, snarky comments, then followed with tension between the bartenders, with “Emma” being very hostile, it made the experience truly unbearable, will order takeout in the future and maybe grab some brews from the coolers
Great beer selection. Try the flights! The food is all quality and a good price. Wonderful place place to hang out with friends. Very casual, fast service.
The brews are excellent. Something for everyone. The Brews Banner IPA is a must try. The alcohol content mellows the bitterness typical of IPA’s.The food menu is no longer Stein n Vine, but it’s still a good menu.If you’ve never had jackfruit then I recommend trying the jackfruit sliders which were smoked n tender - very flavorful.A yummy and decadent pizza that pairs well with the Brews Banner is the white pizza - mushrooms, truffle oil, caramelized onions - yummy ness.
I’m writing this as I’m currently still sitting on the premises of the brewery because I’m pretty dumbfounded at the lack of communication they have to their consumers. We were greeting with a simple hi what can I get you. It was our first time here there was no guidance not an offer of help from the lady behind the counter. Our dessert was drop off first which was fine yet in doing that our number was taken from us which caused our food to be passed around through multiple servers before finally getting to us. In getting to us my mothers hoagie was cold and her bun was beyond crunchy she can’t even finish it. All in all not a very pleasant experience and will not be returning to the brewery.
Great atmosphere and staff. I’m not a big beer drinker but my husband loves you guys so you must be okay. I know we’ll be back!
Great selection of beers. (((>Coppertail, can you please can or bottle the Reverse Engineered? I wanna buy this at Publix on a Saturday night to Netflix and chill.
Great beers and food. Gumbo special was outstanding.
Really good beer selection. Interesting sours and friendly and knowledgeable staff. Nice atmosphere too.
The brewery itself is beautiful, kind of a copper steam punk style with a nice big open window behind the bar that lets you take a peak into the brewery. Beer is always good, nice selection of different styles of beers, and even 3 or 4 sours which my wife adores. Foods a bit below average but what do you expect from a brewery, id say parking is actually the worst part about going here if its actually busy I had to park a block away in the rain a couple times but otherwise a great fare and I hope it never leaves the area.
Awesome Brewery. First time going here. Me my husband have been to over 400 hundred breweries. Have to say this is one of our favorite. Just happen to be there anniversary and had a new beer out and it was really good. Love the design of your Brewery. The Staff was super knowledgeable about the beer and super nice to us. We ate here to and was really good...
Great selection if beer. Get the sausage sampler, do it. And fantastic staff. Laid back environment. Enjoy
One of the best breweries in Tampa St Pete area. Well designed and brewed beers. Wide selection of all your favorites. Food is pretty good, as well. Bar food with a cuisine twist. Great atmosphere, and plenty of seating. Great outdoor area with views of downtown from a patio or balcony. Great place!
Not sure why my actual review never saved so here we go again. Love this spot. Great food and great beers. This particular trip we grabbed some tacos. I had the grouper tacos and while good, I would have preferred less breading. The buffalo cauliflower is always amazing. I had an IPA to drink and would have had a second, but our server was lackluster. She started out great, but a bit pushy with some sides and then for us to order a second beer. She then disappeared for the remainder of the meal when we asked for a moment while we looked at the list.
On a busy Saturday evening, the service was still fast for both food and drink. Employees were super pleasant, attentive, and helpful with drink selections. We had 5 separate plates ordered and everybody was thrilled with what they had. Cant wait to go back.
One of my favorite breweries in Florida. Great beer and great food
Awesome beer variety. Not the usual bar food...great choices. Dog friendly outdoors.
Not a ton of vegan options (plenty for vegetarians though), but what they have is tasty + I think any restaurant deserves an extra star for house made pickles. The pickled vegetables are delicious, plus they come in a generous serving. The vegan burger is basic, but exactly what I look for when glancing over the menu; I detest making fussy modifications. The focal point of this establishment is their beer, of course, and it was a pleasant experience to try favorites Ive purchased at the store and brewery exclusive offerings. My server was attentive and made great suggestions to appease my palate. This is an excellent place for an afternoon lunch or a wind down evening with brews in an industrial, yet comfortable lounge or patio area.
Feeling thirsty? Tummy is a growling cause its running on empty. Get yourself over to Coppertail, great local brewed beer, knowledgeable staff to navigate flavor profiles of the brews, and delicious food at reasonable prices. Dont just see Tampa taste it too at Coopertail Brewing Company .
Great tasting beers and wonderful atmosphere! Was very pleased to visit the place, as Ive been wanted to go for a while. Friendly staff and very good food. Very clean place with a rustic feel, very nice artwork throughout the building, too. It quickly became one of my favorites. Second floor and outside seating available. Highly recommend for a quick bite and for really, really good beers.
The food was incredibly sub-par. My pastrami was really dry and flavorless. The tacos had the same issue, but with an undesirable aftertaste. Chicken sliders were pretty mid as well. Fries were good though.
This brewery is beautiful and skillfully crafted. All of the beers are amazing! The food is house made, including stuffed cheese burgers, drunken shrimp, and beer cheese dip with a pretzel. Our service was outstanding and everyone was great to chat with. I would like to suggest vegetarian options, a local fish, instead of catfish, and green ware. Not a fan of styrofoam..
Amazing! Service was great, food was delicious and the atmosphere was nostalgic. Family friendly too.
It was a great experience!! The only thing is that if you visit for the first time theres no host to tell you that you order your meal and beverages at the counter. It was packed and we waited awhile. Theyre were so many people leaving because other people were cutting in and standing in the way for others to place their orders for beverages and food from the bar. Needs a little bit more organized way to service the customers. Other than that the food and drinks were great!! We had a great time!!
Great beer. Food overpriced. Came on a Monday and knew the kitchen closes at 6pm and bar closes at 7pm. We came at 5:15pm and the hostess said itll be a 20 min wait and kitchen stops taking orders at 5:30. She got us at 5:35 and said if we are just drinking we can sit now but if we are eating itll be a long wait. We say well just drink and get seated and then the waitress asks for our food order so obviously the hostess was not giving the correct info and for some reason didnt want us to eat. At 6:35 the music turned off and everyone looked around because it seemed they were kicking us out. At 6:59 they started stacking tables with the chairs. We left and stood outside chatting in the parking lot and then someone who worked there came out and asked us if we need a ride home even though we were standing in front of our car. Overall we felt very rushed out the door from the moment we got there so we will not be back.
Amazing place if you love craft beers. UnHoly was one of the best beer there and everyone should try. Awesome tater tots and spicy jalapenos was perfect with beer.As I was new to this place, went with beer flights. If beer flights are the way you like to familiarize yourself with a brewery and figure out which beers of theirs you like best, then don’t let anyone stop you. Go for it and am glad they offer flights here.Love the Decor and vibe.
Service was pretty good. Everything was busy downstairs, so we sat upstairs. It was nice to be able to enjoy the place without being shoulder to shoulder. Their pimento dip is amazing. Burgers are pretty good. Not as big of a selection of beer upstairs. Hindsight, we would have gotten our beer downstairs and brought it upstairs, but everything we had was good.
Absolutely sets the bar for a brewery experience in Tampa. Some of the best beer in town, with great IPA’s and a large selection of small batch brews. Food is top notch and you can’t go wrong with one of the daily specials. This is one of my favorite breweries and I always bring guests when they visit from out of town.
Loved it here!!! The beer selection was outstanding and the food was impressive. Little lost at first, you seat yourself and then order at the bar. Everyone was friendly and helpful so its not a big deal. Enjoyable vibe and atmosphere. Parking was decent and we found a table right away. The night market is unique! Great variety of vendors to browse through while enjoying a brewery beverage. Cant wait to visit again!
I had one of the most sour beers I have ever tasted here. It was surprising and delicious. The seating is first come first serve and when the outside seating is in direct sunlight in the evening it can become a problem.
Went here for the first time yesterday and I was amazed. Great service, chill atmosphere, great food and beer selections. Definitely one of my favorite breweries in Tampa. Highly recommended!
Dont know much about the breweries location but I recently had one of there free dive IPAs and it was abysmal. The aftertaste was that of a dirty sponge. The actual beer taste was water down and overall absent. Very disappointing. Micro breweries really need to take up the slack and make up for the damage the commercial brewers have done to good beer.I added a photo of the can code. Dont know if that helps.
Menu has changed, kitchen has changed… I use to love the cole slaw which is no longer on the menu! The beer is awesome still!
I had the smoked turkey sandwich, the bread was hard as a rock. My boyfriend had a burger and he said it was horrible. He didnt get any silverware for his corn salad.
Loved the wings fries and ceased shrimp salad waiters were awesome Great for Lunch dates
Fun, tasty beer, and really awesome tacos and Cole slaw. Inexpensive and delicious... And right by Ikea!We got a sample to try multiple beers, a fish taco plate, and a fried fish with tater tots and slaw. All of it was good, but the tacos really made me smile. Perfect food with good beer, in particular the several IPAs on tap.
The worst service ever. Went to have lunch. You have to go to the bar to place your order. When food came was on 2 out of 4 delivered. No silverware or napkins. Still waiting for the other 2 to be delivered. . Stood at the bar to ask for silverware and napkins and 5 workers walked past me and totally ignored me until I said out loud what the F___. Am I invisible. Will never go back.
Loved this brewery and the awesome bar tenders! You can’t go wrong with any of their beers, especially if you get the flight of beers and try them all! I loved the decor inside, it stands out and makes this place a fun one to visit. I do wish they had more games available, however the card games and retro Pac-Man were fun as well. note to manager; PLEASE GET CARDS AGAINST HUMANITY!
BOOM!!! The best brewery around bar none. Traveled from Va Beach just to experience Free Dive IPA fresh from the tap. You can’t go wrong with their beers and their food. Service is quick and on point. James pours the finest pint in Tampa. They offer a myriad of beers and a few guest taps too. All are note worthy and guaranteed to satisfy. If you are visiting Tampa Bay do yourself a favor and head on over to Coppertail Brewing, you can thank me later.
Loved that the food is delicious. The flight of beer is the way to go for a first timer like me. The atmosphere is pleasant and the noise level not as high as I thought it would be.This place is a great brewery with a family vibe, they even have board games that you can enjoy while having a few beers. I will definitely be back to enjoy more.
We arrived at early Saturday afternoon before it was busy. However, we werent approached by a waiter for 15 min. We decided to go up to the bar to order and they told us that they typically come to the table. They clearly had forgotten about our table and we asked for a waiter for our table. The waiter didnt provide an apology or an explanation on the wait. It wasnt busy, the are just unorganized and dont know which tables are theirs. The drinks are fine, not that great.
Really bad service!! I came from Texas to visit my family and the service was the WORST!
The Mrs and I found at least 2 beers we would consume happily and sat on the upstairs balcony with a subtle breeze coming from the South while somehow listening to tropical birds all around.... we could not have asked for a more magical oasis type of visit!! all while in the midst, no, right slap in the middle of an industrial area called Barely Ybor giggle
Awesome service excellent beer fantastic food
Super chill. good brews and food.
Asked for the Monday night football game and the answer we got was since its not too busy they refused to put on a nationally televised game. Makes complete sense. Bad management. Cashed out after 1 beer and left. Now you have even fewer people.
Best brewery I have been to. I highly suggest you grab a bite to eat too. The cook is amazing.
Cool looking brewery. Great beer. Food was average, albeit expensive. Staff was friendly but not attentive.
The beer and food were great. Service left a little bit to be desired.
Great brewery w/ great food. Very clean!
As of now, one of the best asian food restaurants that Ive had the pleasure of visiting. Its been two years since Ive last visited so I dont particularly recall the specific dish that I ordered, but I can recall how the beef broth tasted and it was impeccable. This eatery is a traditional, no-fuss eatery that does away with the small, high priced bowls of pho that some of its contemporaries offer. When busy, the place is cramped and the service is curt, which is find endearing and honest about what the restaurant offers. Its about the food and, even two years since Ive had a bowl, its one that till never forget.
Excellent staff, beer and food. Cant go wrong with Coppertail!
Always a tasty brew or two on tap here. They lean a bit more toward hoppy beers, sours and ciders. Mom had a rose that she enjoyed. Didnt have a bite this time but easy to find something yummy on the menu.
Nice beers, lacklustre server. Beers were really good and the decor is really interesting, creating a really good ambience. We took two beer flights and our server under poured by an ounce in some of the drinks (4 oz glasses--see photo) and mixed up all the beers so it took some detective work to figure out which was which, a real shame.
Fantastic time at the brewery! Service couldnt have been better. There was a minor error with the food but it was corrected immediately.I really look forward to visiting it again next time Im on that side of town!
An enjoyable evening celebrating nephews engagement party upstairs in a private setting. Wonderful place for venues.
Really cool decor, some tasty beers, and surprisingly good loaded waffle fries.
This place is great! Morgan is the best.
Love Coppertail beers. Thankful they made it thru the pandemic and after serving up tasty beverages and awesome foods.
My personal favorite brewery in the bay area, and there are a lot of them. I also highly recommend doing a tour if you can.
Wherever I go I always try to find a cool place to have a local brew. Coppertail was that place for me in Tampa. My wife and I were visiting from Nashville and had a day in Tampa to try some local flavor. The atmosphere was awesome, and it had a nice mix of people (it wasnt too posh or too hipster). The staff was friendly and the beer selection was great. The food was also very good! I recommend the Bake Pub Pretzel and Cheese!
Best brewery in the tampa bay area. The food here at the brewery is AMAZING as well. Cant go wrong with whatever you decide to get! The white pizza with a Free Dive will make your day.
