What a beautiful little restaurant. The food was great and the atmosphere was spectacular. Very Mediterranean in their menu and aesthetic. Their staff was friendly and their food portion is generous. While we were unable to get indoor full service seating we were prompted to sit out front where we would need to order our food inside however it would be served to us in our outdoor seating area. I was really impressed by this place. I would recommend to come for a good time!
DELICIOUS!! So happy I found this cute place during my visit! Their brunch options are bursting with fresh flavor! The staff is very kind and friendly, and their patio seating is absolutely beautiful! Prices are very decent, unlike most cafes like this, so this place is a gem! Can’t wait to come back for more!
I have not come across a better Greek restaurant in the 8 years I’ve lived in the US (and I’ve been to a lot of Greek restaurants lol) The atmosphere is phenomenal and so is their food. I also lived in Greece for 10 years and they have really nailed the flavors of Greek cuisine. I’ll be coming here very often for sure!
We made reservations, arrived a little early and got taken cared of right away. Reservation is key. Aside from the service being good, the food was amazing. Aside from the food pictured, we had the meatballs as appetizers and we also had a chicken salad. Plates can be sharable but we like to share so we each got ordered a plate. The sandwich bread had the perfect amount of thin outer crunch and softest flavourful inner baked bread. The octopus was tender and it sliced- I prefer to have the tentacle served whole as they have served in the past. The french toast was light in flavor and texture with the right amount of vanilla custard- loved it. The frappé was had by my sister and she enjoyed it very much- milk based and served cold. I had the pomegranate fresh juice. Pairs well with the food well.Im returning. Hopefully one day soon.
The serves are really nice and informative. It’s a good brunch spot but be careful as it does get very busy! I came here on a Sunday for a table for two and got seated promptly because we chose outside seating. Indoors may take a little longer. It’s a authentic spot with multiple options! I always come back here.
My daughter picked this place out for breakfast. It is in what seems to be a residential area in a repurposed house but that certainly doesnt detract from the experience. The front door is under a nice patio where you can sit and enjoy your food if it isnt too hot outside. The servers were very prompt and polite. The coffee and food was delicious with excellent healthy options. I had the bagel special on an everything bagel which was scrumptious. My daughter had the med morning yogurt bowl which was also delightful and not too heavy.
We absolutely loved this place. I’ve been wanting to go there for a while but it’s 30 min drive from us so it took us a while to come here but we loved every dish that we ordered for our Father’s Day breakfast! And my husband wants to go back here soon;) The atmosphere is lovely, an “inside garden “ feel that you have while sitting outside near the mandarin and other trees, the inside of the Psomi is modern and lovely! Highly recommend for breakfast or brunch❤️
I highly recommend Psomi! First of all, the mimosa is literally a glass of champagne with basically a shot of orange juice on the side. That’s my kind of mimosa! Second, the food is unreal. The tzatziki was seriously so delicious and flavorful, but somehow the melitzanosalata was even better. Not to mention the yogurt bowl that was huge, was ALSO amazing. This place is a must-try and I will definitely be back!
Arni was delicious,Greek salad really nice loved the tomatoes I would preferred the capers raw not fried, bugatsa was fantastic, loved the fresh squeezed grapefruit and pomegranateThe raw salmon was old and smelledIt is noisy maybe that could be fixed olso the service very slow but that can be fixed tooWe will be back for the pastries
First time at Psomi. Went for the weekend brunch. Spencer opened the door for us as we arrived, and happened to be our server once we were seated. He was courteous, attentive, and did a great job. We arrived as they were opening for brunch service so there was no wait. Great ambiance, very comfortable inside and out. If you get cold easily, sit outside it’s very nice. I had the Bacon Bloody and the Strapatsada with smoked salmon. Delicious! My wife had the Greek Dip, and was only able to eat half. The portion was huge. The bread is all made in house, so it is very fresh and delicious. I recommend Psomi to anyone in the Tampa area.
What a gem! When I put the tzadziki on the homemade pita bread in my mouth it tasted like Greece!!! As if I were sitting on the edge of the Agean dining in a Greek taverna! Fresh and delicious with a great balance of dill, cucumber, and garlic. So delicious! The tyropita tasted like my ex boyfriend’s sisters homemade version- the phyllo dough was light and crisp definitely not frozen. My friend had the fancy bagel and said it was amazing. The cava was tasty too. My only complaint is I had so many choices I couldn’t decide what to eat!! Definitely a trip back is in order!!
Really delicious food with a lovely Greek atmosphere! Their bread really lives up to their namesake — “psomi”. They nailed the texture and flavors of all the bread we had. I’m really looking forward to trying their French toast and other bakery items. We went for Brunch on Valentine’s, and it was quite busy! Needless to say, they were out of the French toast by the time we got there, so definitely try to get their earlier to avail all of their menu. On another note, they gave out roses for all the ladies on Valentine’s, which I thought was very sweet.Update:Finally tried their French toast and it was so delicious!!!! Also, we ordered an iced latte with whole milk. It was too milky for my taste and the black female barista who helped me was so gracious about replacing my drink. Everything about this place is so well executed! From the food to the aesthetic and service, this is definitely a MUST visit restaurant in tampa!
An excellent Greek restaurant located off of Howard Ave. Open for breakfast and lunch with an excellent weekend brunch. Many brunch food and drinks to choose from. The place also contains a bakery with many baked goods to choose from. The bacon Bloody Mary was great, with fresh made gazpacho. The staff is friendly and very knowledgeable of the menu and makes great recommendations. The seating is outdoor, Cafe style. Excellent experience.
Psomi is phenomenal. It looks and feels like Greece. The food is fresh and savory. Their bread...Oh my goodness their bread. ORDER BREAD. Olive Feta bread, cranberry crevice, crostini, and my absolute favorite, seeded oregano. order it all. The octopus cevice, hummus, dolmades, Greek donuts, chicken souvlaki, ..try it all. Our server, Clayton, was super nice and attentive. All of the staff were so happy and helpful. We had a great time for our best friend brunch. ❤ will definitely be back for more!
This place has amazing food and bakery items. Highly recommend.
We’ll definitely come back, but we will book an earlier reservation so we can try some things they ran out of. This was our first time, so we didn’t realize they run out of a lot of stuff towards the end of brunch.Service was great and our server was very personable. We appreciated that they made up for being out of some of the items we wanted to try with a complimentary dish. All the food we had was very good. The french toast was out of this world.
THIS PLACE IS AMAZING!!!! I couldn’t decide on an app so I ordered all three and each of the appetizers were delicious!! I have been DREAMING of the octopus app since I went, I will be back weekly to get that specific item! The restaurant itself is so beautiful, bright and clean! The service was great, and we were there as they were closing so they gave us some extra spanakopita to take home (also phenomenal). I will definitely be back and probably become a regular, because WOW!
The octopus ceviche was a revelation! The pita was delightful and the salads were very big and filling! I wouldnt get the cappuccino again as the coffee was a little to acidic for me. But everything else was very classy and lovely. Beautiful aesthetic.
Everything about this place was fantastic! From the second I walked in the doors I was greeted with such a wonderful energy. If they werent wearing masks I swear youd see gleaming smiles on everyones faces..... or everyone here has mastered the mask smile whatever It is, its working for them. The inside of this place is absolutely lovely. Nice and elegant but not overly done. Simple and tasteful. A nice place to come to when you want more of an upscale breakfast or lunch without needing to break the bank for it. We brought in our 4 month old in his stroller since we had to park in their overflow parking down the street, they moved around a few tables and boom they were able to fit us in there perfectly, if you can do this.... in my eyes youre exceeding my expectations. Our waiter was informative and was very attentive, I tried to make a point to remember his name but it was unique and well.. I have mom brain! They were sold out of the curred salmon when I ordered my eggs benedict, everyone must have been thinking the same thing cause it sounded delicious! My waiter suggested grilled salmon which was absolutely delicious. Now my favorite part...the coffee, see Ive been to dozens of fantastic restaurants with absolutely delicious coffee but this might just now be my very favorite. My shaky holding a baby photo of it does it no justice because its absolutely perfect in every single way. I ordered a cortado, oak milk with a shot of baklava syrup. I took one sip and instantly envisioned myself sitting at this restaurant many times in the future because this coffee MUST be a regular thing in my life and I promise Ill get a better picture of it next time. Overall my experience was great, I will be back again in the future but next time Ill remember to bring a jacket because they love their AC!
One of the best bakeries Ive had the pleasure of visiting. Highly recommend if in the area.
My food was absolutely delicious. If I could change anything about the restaurant was add sound attenuation in the interior space. It was incredibly loud and hard to hear to person sitting next to me. Its uncomfortably loud. Excellent food.
The food and service were fantastic. Cant wait to go back and try more!
Good food, service and décor. Our large party ordered breakfast foods. It would seem due to the location, parking was not good at all when we went there for a 2pm brunch.
Instant favorite restaurant in Tampa. Unbelievably delicious food. The best Benedict Ive ever eaten, a delicious bacon bloody Mary, and everything was out within 10 minutes. The service was a little lacking but it was mothers day so i give that a pass because of how amazing the rest of the experience was. And unfortunately their bakery products are so popular that there was an hour wait to get them, so we are going to have to come back to try them!
Lovely for a brunch with the family. Food was nice, great service. However The noise levels were a bit overwhelming, making most of the time spent shouting.
Good vibes and fresh food with a lot of vegetarian options. I recommend the weekend brunch and patio seating.
Amazing food with many vegetarian options. High quality service. Atmosphere is absolutely beautiful.
Very good experience at this Greek restaurant. I highly recommend it. The bagel was so incredibly delicious. I had to use a fork and knife to eat it because it kept falling apart but besides that everything was great. Friendly staff and amazing food. Was not expecting this type of food and was blown away in a positive way. I can say that everyone should try this restaurant. You will not be disappointed.
Great food. The tzatziki dip was amazing!!! Must try if you go here.
Nice food. Just to let you know; Baklava has cinamon
Lovely place for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. I love the atmosphere and the greek-themed decor. Its one of my favorite breakfast places. They have traditional Greek specialties that are all yummy!! Coffee is great! The staff is also very nice and helpful. I will definitely be coming back to visit for breakfast!!
Usually the food is better, this time just OK. The level of noise inside was a little too much.
Pretty disappointing trip to a previously favorite restaurant. The Frappe coffee was not what it should be, the foam itself should contain coffee. Theirs is all milk. Then we ordered the pork gyro and were given the deconstructed option but werent informed about the $3 extra charge. Then we ordered their avocado bagel w the salmon and they brought it out without the salmon.EDIT IN RESPONSE TO OWNERS REPLY: As someone who was born and raised in Athens, Greece for 20 years I can assure you that whipped milk is not traditional Frappe. I stated to the waitress that I was having difficulty finding if a deconstructed pork gyro was even an option on the menu so it should had been assumed that I also was unaware of the additional charge.
The perfect brunch spot on a sunny day! This place is super cute and the food/drinks are amazing. The servers all work together and help each other out so you’re never waiting too long. Definitely will be coming back frequently.
A really beautiful restaurant with really great food! Im really happy I stopped by I will definitely come back :))
I ordered Greek Chick Salad, Mamas Baklavas, and cortado. There are cinnamon and clover inside the ingredients of Mamas Baklavas. It is the biggest difference from other baklava recipies 🙂 I love it. All of them are so delicious, and waitresses are polite and attentive. Atmosphere of this place is really greate. Restrooms are very clean.
Great food but I would only recommend going for brunch. They have the best french toast 😍!
The food was great what we tried which at the table we had a hummus/pita sampler, we had the pork gyro, chicken souvlaki, and a few others .... no one had complaints, the drinks were basic but unique. The sangria was the highlight of the drinks for us. Overall great food and drink but not mind blowing. Pricing was slightly elevated above what it should be but for the area not overpriced. This is why it’s 4 stars.
10/10 food and drinks and great ambiance. They get busy on the weekend, so make a reservation!
Amazing food, staff and experience presented by a female entrepreneur ❤️
Was referred by a friend after seeing her go multiple times and wanted to try it out. The food was amazing and LOVED the atmosphere. The weather was perfect so it made it that much better, our server Chris was great and very kind. We got the Benedict and souvlaki. The chicken was amazingly tender and the biscuit it for the Benedict was so moist and not dry at all. My favorite item that I feel every Greek restaurant should have is the tapenade/olive aioli that came with the fries. You’d think that it would be something common because it’s so simple and made the meal that much more authentic. Will definitely be going back to try more items next time.
We got a table quicker than expected. I had French toast and my husband had Benedict. We both enjoyed them. My husband really liked the thick cut bacon. The French toast was made very well, not mushy but not too crispy, and they didnt skimp on the cream filling. The syrup was so good! Only reason it lost a star was:1) the acoustics were awful. They gave up sound control for the look of the room, but it was so loud my husband couldnt hear me from across our small 2 person table. If you are looking for quiet intimate meal, this is not the place.2) our server wasnt very good. You could hear the other servers around us welcoming people, asking if it was first visit, making suggestions...our server barely said hello and just seemed like he didnt want to be there. Even with masks, you can usually tell when someone smiles or has some cheer to their voice...he did neither. This was not the restaurants fault, just a server issue. We would go back, but maybe try to sit outside where it wouldnt be so loud so we can talk to each other.
I hate to do this, but PSOMI was a TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE! We brunch every weekend in the SoHo/Seminole Heights area. Psomi has been on our list, but it was by far the worst and only bad brunch experience to date. Delays, Unattentive Staff, Poor/Slow Service, etc...We made a reservation last week, for 10 ppl for my sisters bday for 1pm Saturday. We arrived 25 mins before our reservation to check in, w/a final total of 7 ppl, due to last minute cancellations. We went to the bar to order some drinks while we waited. There was a small line. When we got to the counter, It took at least 5 mins before any of the staff even acknowledged us. While she spoke with us, she kept being interrupted, and responding to, customers and other staff. I ordered a drink that rang up as $6, it was $12 on the menu. I spoke up about it, as I wanted to make sure I had ordered correctly. Someone came to correct it and I was charged $12. I feel like they shouldve honored that price due to their system error and my honesty to fix it for the future purchases, but they laughed when I made reference to it. But its $6, no big deal. We sat and waited for our drinks and table to be ready. We were not seated at our table until nearly 1:15 pm. We had never been to Psomi before and did not know there was indoor & outdoor seating. We were never given an option of which we preferred, which they definitely should have due to the weather. It was overcast, cold 63° and breezy. This is something they do even at far less classy places. They seated us outside. There was a heat lamp at one end of the table which warmed the person closest to it, when there was no breeze. We asked if we could change to an inside table since some of our group was not dressed for the weather and we didnt plan to be outside. We pointed to a large table which had just cleared inside. Instead the server offered to bring a 2nd heat lamp to sit at the opposite end of the table. Which he did, but again not helpful in the breeze and only warmed the 1 person sitting on that end.Our server took our drink order and left. He brought the drinks back at 1:27 pm, 12 mins after we ordered, and minus 1 tea a friend had ordered. He left again. A couple was then seated next to our table. He came and took their orders prompt;y. One of our group flagged him down to ask if we could order too, we had been seated for over 15 mins now. We ordered. He told my friend he would return with his tea. He came back with the couples drinks. 10 mins later, he gave my friend his tea. It took 40+ mins post order for that tea to hit our table - 1:55pm!!! The couple next to us was served. If youre following, they were seated after us, ordered before us, and received their food and drinks all before the 40 mins it took just for our friend to get his tea, and we still had no food! The server finally returned with our food at 1:59 pm!!! I have exact times because as a Google contributor I take photos, with time and date stamps, of the drinks/food.Because it was so cold and the wait so long, 2 of our group refused to order food, just to speed the process and leave. So they just had a couple drinks. While we were eating, one friend ordered a 2nd beer, an IPA. We saw the bartender come out and say something to our server a few moments post drink order. 12 mins after she ordered it, the bartender himself came to our table and told her they were out of all IPAs and offered her alternatives. Which she accepted. We wondered if he had relayed that message to our server who didnt find it important enough to share.... It was so cold and breezy that the food cooled very quickly. I was so cold and aggravated that I only took a few bites and we asked for boxes.2 of our group were long time servers and mentioned that our service was probably not as important to our server because he was already guaranteed gratuity due to the size of our party. I really hope that was not the case. Regardless of his timing he did seem nice, he was never rude, just unattentive, careless and slow.
Seriously so good!! wish they hadn’t sold out of spanakopita though
Overall my experience was great, I will be back again in the future but next time Ill remember to make a reservation. We went there for family breakfast Everything about this place was fantastic! Food, place OMG the place has a such good vibe. We were greeted with such a wonderful energy. If they werent wearing masks I swear youd see gleaming smiles on everyones faces. About the food I ordered the strapadsada with salmon 💯 recommended, my husband ordered the Benedict. We cant wait to go back to taste more and enjoy this place one more time. And of course we got MIMOSAS🤪🥰
The food is very good and the atmosphere is great. I love that they use fresh and local ingredients whenever possible and indicates where everything comes from on the menu. Speaking of the menu... even that is decorated gorgeously. The menu, staff uniforms and even the napkins are so beautiful! This restaurant is definitely both a pleasure to be in AND eat at.The only negative is that it is a fairly limited menu and a little overpriced for what is given but this restaurant definitely delivers on experience.
This is probably the best restaurant/cafe in Tampa. period. brunch was exceptional...the Greek omelette, veggies, pita, and hummus, all delicious. even the coffee was amazing, likely craft. they had plenty of outdoor seating and were quick with service. atmosphere was very relaxed and fun, and overall I highly highly recommend this place. honestly can’t wait to go back, Ive been begging my boyfriend for weeks!
Beautiful atmosphere but lots of hit/miss. Loud and overpriced for the portions I received. Definitely not a daily lunch spot. Psomi doesnt have typical gyro lamb, but their stacked pork gyro tastes amazing. French fries were extremely overdone - no resemblance of potato inside them. I couldnt break them with a fork lol. Calamata aioli is incredible. Bakery had 4 people working, no line, and still took a minute for people to acknowledge me.I would go again for the rare business lunch, or to try their bagels.
Love this high class restaurant!!All fresh, they pay attention to a little details and what makes this place a A+++++ restaurant.Try everything in the menu and you wont regret 😄💙
Everything was delicious! My only critique is how loud it is inside when parties are present for brunch-- they should really invest in some sound dampening.
Excellent atmosphere with equally good brunch food with Mediterranean flair. Prices are a bit steep but quality is there, bakery on site
The best quality! Everything is so fresh- love it!
The server from Albania is awesome and food is top notch
Excellent service. Food made with care.
Ive drove 20 mins three days the last two weeks to eat here. Food & drinks are amazing you can tell the owners care about the environment, clients and food
Amazing restaurant! My husband is Greek and he loves it. Best gyro I have ever had. The chef put some thought into dishes, combining French toast with Greek cuisine. $5 mimosa on weekends. Love it. Cannot wait to come back again!
Great neighborhood find. Beautiful ambience, great food, friendly staff. So many vegan and GF options. Feels like you’re in Greece, which is a nice getaway while travel is restricted. Highly recommend.
Their food is so fresh and tastes delicious. The waiting staff is very nice. I don’t mind that you have to go up to the kitchen area to order and pick up your entrees. The place is very small so it gets busy quick.
Beautiful restaurant. Try to make a reservation its busy. Delicious greek salad.May have to park in the street.
All three stars are for the very friendly staff. The food is grossly overpriced and it does not taste authentic.
The first time I ate at psomi the scrambled eggs brought me to tears. I was nervous about ordering scrambled eggs since I make them at home all the time however these are a necessary try. The heirloom tomatoes are so fresh and juicy and the use of onions bring an explosion of flavor into every bite. Every morsel of food I’ve eaten here is literally incredible. The spanikopita is a winner. The coffee is delicious. The vanilla Carmel cake which was on special is up there on one of my favorite desserts I’ve ever put in my mouth. Service is always good. The atmosphere is so relaxing, I truly love being at psomi.
I just love this place! The servers are so nice and extremely attentive. The owner is so friendly and wants to ensure that your experience is fabulous. Delicious cocktails, super fresh food, and incredible baked goods! Love the atmosphere too. I sometimes stop by in the mornings just to get a coffee and bagel... just 10/10 overall.
There’s a new Greek bakery and restaurant in town. They’re dishing out some seriously delicious breakfast, lunch, and weekend brunch items. You can also swing by their takeout counter to bring pastries home for later.Spanakopita: spinach, feta mixture wrapped in pastry.Bougatsa: greek custard layered in pastry, dusted with powdered sugar.
We ate here when we came to look at UT. Everything was incredible. And so happy our daughter is coming here in the Fall so we can frequent Psomi more often!
Nice brunch menu. We tried their version of hummus which was delicious served with warm pita wedges and cut vegetables. Then had the avocado toast with whipped feta, etc with salmon added, chicken souvlaki, and chicken orzo soup which were all very flavorful. Iced tea was very bland but the baklava latte was nice :)
Incredible food complimented by a friendly and upbeat atmosphere.
Great food and big portions. Nice staff as well.
