Do not use for any auto body work. I was enticed no with a great quote to have my bumper replaced (the plastic bit that connects the bumper to the car was damaged so the bumper hung out slightly).1. My car was sent off to another location 2. I was told my car would be ready next day. Well I dropped off on Thursday 1 July and could not pick it up until ens of day on 7 July because it rained a lot.3. When I picked it up the quality was not as promised. My right headlight did not fit correctly with the bumper they installed. 4. Apparently they replaced the bumper and repainted it, yet it had scratch marks5. I bought a headlight bulb that I wanted to hace installed after the bumper was repaired. Left it on the passenger seat. Picked the car up & it was gone.The biggest problem is over promising. A business should always set reasonable expectations and be honest with customers, otherwise they will be disappointed. I had to call almost everyday and several times a day to get updates. They failed to simply inform me of what was going on with my car, they failed to call me back each day they said they would. And I was told my car will be ready tomorrow about 4 times with no updates from the business each day they failed to deliver.

The owner and mechanics at this shop are some of the best people I have done business with in the auto care industry since Ive moved to tampa!

It was great they repaired my car

I went to Hillsborough Auto Repair September 16th, 2020 for an simple oil change. I drove yo work that night to my car only driving up to 45 mph. I checked the oil is was very very low. Check engine light came on and now Im hoping my engine isnt damaged due to not putting oil back on the car...smh..thats totally unacceptable. I had to walk five miles to get engine treatment at 4 am in St. Pete. Will never retiren for such SIMPLE service. Never!

My Son is attending school in Tampa and we were in need of an emergency alternator and battery replacement. Obviously living out of State makes finding a reputable and reliable auto service a bit challenging but we were extremely fortunate to have been recommended Hillsborough Auto Repair by the good folks over at AAA we will not have our car maintained anywhere else!

They were to change a belt that cost $100 FOR LABOR AND WE BOUGHT THE PART and the mechanic that worked on my vehicle put the WRONG SCREWS BACK IN FACT THEY WERE LONGER SCREWS AND TORE THE TIMING BELT. I called spoke to the manager and he acted as if he doesnt care. DO NOT TAKE YOUR VEHICLE HERE THEY WILL NOT FIX IT AND MAKE A BIGGER ISSUE. AND THEY WILL ACT LIKE THEY DIDNT DO ANYTHING! THEY ARE SCAM THIS IS NOT THE FIRST VEHICLE THEY HAVE MESSED UP! I WILL BE GETTING A LAWYER BC ITS THE PRINCIPAL AND NOW WE ARE OUT OF A VEHICLE THAT WE JUST BOUGHT & THE FACT THAT THEY DID NOT CARE POOR PEOPLE ARE OUT HERE STRUGGLING AND THEY DO THIS TO HARD WORKING PEOPLE! THANK GOD WE HAVE A LAWYER IN THE FAMILY SEE YOU IN COURT AND I RECORDED THE CONVERSATION! ANYONE ELSE THAT HAD ISSUES WITH THIS COMPANY PLEASE GET IN CONTACT WITH US! SO WE CAN FILE SUIT AGAINST THEM SINCE THEY DONT CARE. ZERO STARS FROM ME!

I was going to write a great review, friendly people just to get one over you, my car was shaking and had to pull up to check my car, they told me i had a bad coil and charged me $90 bucks to fix it l! I didnt know the prices on coils but I learned when i got home that you can buy a pack of 4 coils for $100, i told them just to fix 3 coils with labor i ended up paying $420 instead of paying $150 for labor and $100 for coils total being $250 instead of getting over charged for $420, then after i left the shop my car breaks down two lights away, they forgot to put some piece back in my car leaving me stuck until they arrived to fix there error, worst service i had ever received and worse because i got scammed and robbed.

Smh... First and last experience there.

These guys are great. They try their best to get you in and out if possible. Great/fair prices and knowledgeable crew of guys. Omar answers every call that comes in, if he misses you, he calls back asap. Some new upgrades happening to the shop for the new year, including new lift. Go to Ammar - hands down best customer service in town. This guy is a true and proven professional. He does what I dream other car shops would do - not overcharge and go beyond by helping client save money. The work is great, and his response/support is even better. Honest, good mechanics that are reasonably priced are few and far between so I must share this place... I had them replace the motor in my car, and I couldnt be happier. I will tell everyone I know to try them out, almost thought that they (honest mechanics) were a dying breed but the are alive and thriving on Hillsborough Ave. You can ask for Amar but dont have to because the office receptionist is care of is wonderful. I had to get my Engine and Cam Sensors replaced in my car. I brought my car here and they took care of me on the spot. Amir explained everything to me step by step. Saved money as the shop down the street tried to charge me double what I paid with Hillsborough Auto. Front desk lady is a winner too!

I took my 2007 Chrysler Aspen to them for a transmission change. The transmission going in was used which i understand it may not work. After maybe two days of the transmission not working i looked under the car and noticed i had disconnected sensors. THE manager Danny installed my transmission and left two of my 02 sensors disconnected and a connector from the transmission passenger side was left disconnected and burned on the exhaust pipes. When i explained this to ALI he offered to repair it but i had already given up on them. When the manager is messing up cars there is a problem. I will never take car to them again. 0 stars.In the end i ended up doing all of my work on my own. Now my car runs great. Thank you YOUTUBE.

One of the best places to go to. Love their work. They fixed my old car that had been driving me nuts and it feels brand new. I was fixing it every week! And now its been about a month or so and it hasnt caused any problems since I took it to this shop. It drives so great now. I dont stress out about it anymore. Horrible service.. warning DO NOT go there. Bought brakes pad from them under lifetime warranty, find out the pad was defective. Came back to change it, they charge 80 plus dollars for labor. They didnt tell me they would charge until after the service. RIDICULOUS.. run, dont waste your money. They lost a customer and everyone I know.

Needed U-Joints and Swaybar Links replaced due to an awful vibration encountered on a recent road trip. I stopped by and saw Omar on a Sunday morning.
