Took my 2005 Monte Carlo with 230,000 miles on it to get restore… I was told to bring it in the am and leave it over night to get an diagnosis. The very next day they called back and told me to come pick up my car, an that it was not worth fixing and it had high miles. The car was a gift from a family member and who was he to tell me what my car is worth to me. I felt his job was to do what I asked and I assume all the risk knowing the condition of my own car. I would have even signed a waiver if offered. Not sure if it was because he didn’t want to do service with a black man or he thought my car was beneath his shop, but I would never recommend this place to anyone. An he should be mindful how he speaks on orher ppls possessions. Never know how they got it and what it means to the person! Ruined my day completely… actually two days!!

My experience is nothing less than disappointing. I will make it simple and to the point. Paint quote for what was being done and scheduled appointment were not the same story when we met again for the scheduled paint job. They were not interested in doing business with me due to the Price that was quoted to me at the time. I feel that they down played there ability to do the job so they could get out of it. If they do this to you it’s best to walk. Just a heads up. I never once gave the impression that I was expecting a Candy Apple finish but I was expecting a paint job for the price you had quoted me. We went from dropping bumpers and doing it right to Tape it all up and don’t expect much in return. You never even scheduled me for the drop off date. I have no problems with finding a place that can do it better especially after your comment that you have insurance claims and classic car paint jobs and then there is mine, which you do not need the frustration. Good business tactic. Good luck with that customer service approach.

Running great is the best repair and body paint shop in tampa florida. My car is always running great and I had some damage to the front of my truck and it looks brand new. Awesome place! They are busy and its because they do an awesome job! Had our 68 rag top Baracuda repainted and it is beautiful! They took painstaking care to strip her down, ensure any rust was eradicated, and repainted with perfection.

Facing a two-day drive from Tampa to Chicago, we needed new tires. My son had recommended this place, so we ordered the set on Monday morning, brought the car in on Tuesday afternoon, and drove away happy an hour and a half later. They also checked the fluids, added a quart of oil, and warned us that the brake pads were getting pretty thin. Our handler, John, was courteous, helpful, and an all around nice guy. Top notch service!

My husband and I found this company by accident looking for another business, and I am very happy we did! They have done body work and mechanical work on my (non collectible) car and both times have been excellent work reasonable / very affordable in time and money. We have 5 cars that seem to need something done every month and we will bring them here for service. I didn’t read the reviews until after my own experience so I just wanted to add my 2 cents for other review readers to know this is a company you can trust!

A few days ago I scuffed the front of my exotic car on a curb. I was just sick about it. I took it to Glen at Running Great. He said bring it in tomorrow morning and we’ll make it like it never happened. You can have it back the same day. The next morning Miguel fastidiously devoted himself to it, treated it like it was his very own and fixed it like brand new. It was complete by mid afternoon and I could not be more thrilled with the results. All at an extremely fair price. The technicians working there are first rate and you can quickly tell Glen respects and treats them well. These are serious “car people.” It tells you everything when you see happy, smiling employees, doesn’t it? Thank you again Glen and your team!

The job came in at just under $1000, a full $1500 less than the most expensive estimate and $300 less than the next lowest estimate. I spent a lot of money here and not happy at all I ship them a rebuilt motor the reinstalled it back in my jeep a week later it Blu up and the only reason it could have done that is the the brand new cam wasnt broke in and it cost me another $1800 dam dollars so long story but short do not use them for an engine brake it

This is a great group of car guys who always shoot straight and dont try to take advantage of customers. I keep going back because of this. Their prices are very reasonable, and the waiting area is pretty decent too.

Took my sons car in for an oil leak and a power steering leak. Running Great first said there was 3 leaks(valve cover gasket, power steering pump and oil pan). When my son got home and looked under the car it was still leaking. Took the car back; amazing new leaks now(oil pump seal, timing belt kit, and water pump coolant along with the pulley and tensioner. Guess what son got home and the car is still has a leak. SO after spending $2000 to fix leaks the car still is leaking and now being told its the rear main seal that they want to charge another $700. Dont think so Running Great. We will take it to someone that know how to fix a leak. What a waste of time and money dealing with your business.

Accidentally ran over a tree stump while visiting a friend’s new property in Lutz. My 2013 Nissan Sentra immediately started to make creaking noises at low speeds and during quick accelerations. I noticed that something looked like it had been knocked loose on the undercarriage, and I mentioned this when bringing my car to Courtesy Nissan for an oil change. They said my splash guard was missing clips and that was causing the problem, so they added new clips. This didn’t fix the problem at all. I returned to Courtesy Nissan a second time two days later to get a full diagnostic ($130). They said my floor panel had been bent causing the exhaust system to become loose in places. They said this would have to be sent to their body shop for a quote but to expect thousands of dollars. The car was driving fine, just making noises, so I knew there had to be a better solution. Today, I stopped by Running Great. Chris took a look at my car, and he was able to figure out what was wrong in minutes. Nissan has completely ignored the piece that has been knocked loose on the undercarriage and was making all the noise, despite looking at it twice. Running Great is the best, they saved me from making a thousand dollar mistake.

Probably the most fair repair shop Ive ever been to. Ive been to Running Great several times over the last 10 years. Recently they did body work and paint on a car i needed to sell. Their work helped me get way more than i thought i could for the car. This week I went in with a noise coming from my wheel well. Conveniently i dropped it off Sunday and left the key in the drop box. By 9am it was diagnosed and I picked it up before 5:30. Work was excellent. highly highly recommend for repairs and body work/painting.

I cant believe how bad this was. I dont know if the good reviews are coming from family friends or something but do yourself a favor and avoid this place. This morning I went in for an alignment. I was informed needed some extra work and a tire rod which I was happy to pay for. However, when I left, I took exactly 3 turns (the U turn in Nebraska, the left in Fowler and a right on 30th) for me to realize that my turning signals were down.Now, I am trying to be as fair as I can here by saying the work that was done in my car and the turn signal switch are unrelated. Nevertheless, the fact remains that this never-EVER happened before until the car went in their shop. The gentleman at the front desk was quite uninterested of my concerns when I called him about it and when I went back to the shop. He was very quick to remind me that my car is old and that I already had some electrical issues with the A/C fan and the window wipers, the latter being a common problem with my type of car. I do not deny my car is old but the man proceeded to say it was a coincidence. Which I am not sorry to find as an unsatisfactory answer. Furthermore, and I am NOT saying this was their intention, but that very suggestion and lack of interest and/or customer service made me feel as if I was being perceived as somebody who just wanted to get their service for free or something of the like. Which is why I did not ask for a refund or any further help and decided to leave after he gave me an estimate of how much it would be to fix this new issue.

UPDATE: The owner, Mr. Glen, has reached out to me. He was very kind and he addressed the matter.I came here twice seeking to get my antenna and headlights fixed. Both times the elderly man at the desk said, seemingly annoyed and without even looking up from his computer, were busy, come another time. I got the impression he was hoping I dont come back. Hopefully this was an isolated incident and this particular employee doesnt treat all all customers with this level of rudeness.

I shouldn’t even rate this shop with one star. It doesn’t deserve any rating at all. My husband is in the military and my father in law brought in my husbands truck which is a 1994 7.3 to have it painted. It’s been there for about 3 months and they messed up on the paint, the doors and the truck wouldn’t start at one point. My father in law has been updating us on the progress and it’s still there and I just think it’s sad. What happened to honest work now a days?

I have been going to Running Great since the early 1990s. They have taken great care of every car Ive ever owned: 1981 Ford Mustang, 1992 Mercury Cougar, 2000 Ford Taurus, 2006 Saturn Vue. I tend to keep my cars a long time and Running Great is the only place I trust to perform quality maintenance and repairs at prices I can afford. The staff and mechanics are all great. Ive been going to Running Great for almost five years with several cars. The staff there are always friendly and give you an honest assessment of your car before performing services. They tell you what should be fixed now versus what can be put off until later. They are top notch all around, if I had to give one complaint it would only be they need minor improvements in their Saturday hours as 1pm is a little early to close and turn over time as sometimes your car could take all day to fix if the queue is long. Overall they are committed to making customers for life and not trying to push a quick buck. I will continue to take my cars there for years to come.

I used to come here quite frequently as my Nissan Altima was 14 years old, and it often got something wrong. The place is locally owned and independently run by people who have known his job for three decades or so. I must say, these guys here are genuinely honest. Sometimes if my car did not need to install new expensive parts to be fixed, they would tell me how to deal with it to avoid further problem carefully. Plus, the price here is pretty fair. Keep this in mind, they charge $50 for a Check Engine Light Diagnosis. Personally, I found out this is the best mechanic shop in ten-mile radius area.
