This company would not allow access to a vehicle. They advised that they were going to be closed for holidays but would still charge for storage.

Very very very shady company. They have a travel agency, Western Union, phone cards and towing all in one very dirty and dingy little hell hole. The workers seem like straight up con assists. After an accident they were called by the city to take one of our cars. We got no choice in the matter. We never received any information as to where the car was and how to get it back. Finally we found out from the dmv. When we were finally able to contact them they had sold the car and filed a lean against us for over 400$. They refused to clear the lean unless we paid cash. Very very shady. Then it turns out their paperwork was over 6 years old and no longer accepted by the state of Florida. When we returned they were incredibly rude. When i suggested that they be nicer as they were waisting a tremendous amount of our time in addition to stealing our vehicle and shaking us down for cash. They threw me out of the building and refused to fill out the state mandatory paperwork until i wait outside. Everything about this company says wannabe Mafia. Sad little parasites.

If i could give this place less stars i would. These people gave my sister the hardest time getting her personal belongings ot of her wrecked car after showing proper documents. We had to call the police department because the owner flipped out for no apparent reason and locked me and my sister inside the gate on his property. The police obviously did nothing but they did mention that they have to visit this location multiple times a week. Im sure its a rasist issue. I would never deal with them directly again!

A coworker got into a vehicle accident nearby and Tampa PD called National Towing who was on their rotation list. The officer said the vehicle was not driveable and my coworker agreed to have the company sent out. When National arrived, the operator was able to drive the vehicle onto a flatbed with no issues. When seeing this, my coworker said if the vehicle could be driven onto the truck then it can be driven back to our office without a tow. He asked the operator to drop the vehicle and the operator refused. He failed to disclose that towing operators must drop vehicles for half of the towing rate at the drivers request while still on scene. When the vehicle arrived at their tow yard nearby, the operator said even with full payment, he would not release the vehicle back to my coworker as he was not the registered owner. The owner of the vehicle is of course the CEO of our company and National insisted that he and only he must come to pick the vehicle up. A logistical nightmare. We called TPD as the situation was getting heated. TPD could not force National to do anything as it was a civil matter, but they did scoff at their policies. After speaking to the rude owner of the towing company over the phone, he said they would release the vehicle back to my coworker the following conditions: (1) A hold harmless agreement from the CEO (2) his signature witnessed and notarized and (3) cash payment by 5pm (2 hours away). They inferred that we could not pick up the vehicle after 5pm despite the fact that tow yards must release vehicles day or night with one hour notice. Luckily, we were able to get everything together and get our vehicle off their lot in time. No overnight storage fee for you! Im thankful my coworker spoke Spanish because the operator did not speak any English. I can see this being a problem for people who are dazed in confused from a crash and cannot properly communicate with the person whos taking their vehicle. Not to mention, this shack of an office on the yard was probably the dumpiest thing Ive ever seen. Probably lots of code and OSHA violations and Im surprised this lot is zoned for commercial use. I will be notifying the Tampa/Hillsborough PTC who supposedly watches these towing companies. Word of advice: If you ever get into a crash and a law enforcement agency calls a tow for you, ask them not to send National Towing and have them call the next company on their rotation list. I assure you not all wrecker operators are shady... but this company is a prime example why the stereotype is out there.
