From my first contact with Gene Perez Body Shop - Louise was professional, and sympathetic to help answer my questions and schedule my appointment. Once I went there for my estimate I worked with Shawn. He and his team was excellent throughout the process from dropping off my car for repairs to picking up the finished product! Shawn kept me updated during the process, and ensured work done at other locations was completed with the highest level of quality thus he would have it completed to meet my satisfaction.If you need a body repair shop due to an accident, you will be pleased with the level of service at Gene Perez Body Repair.

He stayed three steps ahead but kept me aware of each step and reminded me that it was his job not mine to work with the insurance adjuster. He was amazing! I may just call to say hello! This is the second time Gene Perez fixed my Audi after a car accident. And just like the first time, Jeff Beavers and his team did a phenomenal job! You can’t even tell the car had any damages! They’re expert insurance negotiators as the cost of repairs ended up being almost 3 times the insurance estimate. Jeff was honest, personable, professional, and very responsive throughout the whole process and had my best interest in mind. The quality control was outstanding! Had collision with my front end. Extensive damage incurred. Gene Perez Body Repairs was able to repair/replace all damaged parts and it looks like the original vehicle before the accident. Working with Jeff Beavers was a real pleasure. He took care of me all the way to the finish line. Super work. During this COVID pandemic parts had to be ordered and had to wait much longer than it would have been if the pandemic had not occurred. But the job done by Gene Perez Body Repairs is fantastic. Will go there again if the need arises.

I would have rated this 5 stars, but it took this one incident of what happen that I want others to be aware. They did a 5 star wonderful job of repairing my BMW and so far nothing to complain about. I took the car in during the virus outbreak and remove articles that I needed. I forgot to remove my change from the center console. At no time did I see a sign posted on the wall or anywhere else, I might of overlooked the sign that said they are not responsible for loss of item as I was told by Sean. Who by the way was very informative as to the status of the car. I forgot when I left the car, that my emergency change I kept in the center console, about $30-$35, was missing when I got home after I picked up the car. I informed Sean about it and he checked around to see if it was removed for safe keeping. The last 2 times when I had work done by them, I left change in the car and it was not bother. I didnt think they would have any reason to go in the center console. Sean called the next day and said he got with the owner and that they have a sign that they are not responsible for lost items in viechles.It is hard to determine who took the money, their staff or when the car was taken to the BMW dealer to fix a problem. If it was at the dealership, Gene Perez auto should have been more responsible to insure that their customer car is secure and safe at the dealership for their customer.After fixing my car for $6500, and using the sign that they are not responsible for loss as a bailout and not knowing who took it, you would think they would have a better customer relationship.

This body shop is the most wonderful place I have ever been! They are extremely knowledgeable, personable and do an excellent job. It seems that they treat your car like their own. I would have never known about them if it wasnt for a local dealership who brings all their cars there! Come to find out, a lot of the dealerships use their services as well. They fixed my rear view mirror and made it look like new! Also, keep in mind, their prices are reasonable, and just because they work with the dealerships, doesnt mean they charge the same prices, theyre extremely reasonable! I went there a few times to have them put touchup paint on the door and they even used solvent to take the transfer paint off! These people are wonderful. Even the receptionist is helpful, shes personable and gets you to the proper people in no time. They even have their own painless dent person who Ill be utilizing soon! These people are great and if you need any collision work done, go here, you will not be disappointed! 👍 🚗

Very satisfied with the good folks at Gene Perez Body Repairs. Between myself and family members (all Tampa natives), weve had 4 different cars repaired here over the years and it has always been a pleasurable experience. Most recently this year, my 2013 Audi was struck on the front passenger side door. Without hesitation, I designated Gene Perez as the shop to handle this repair. Not only had they done pristine work for me previously, but the Audi Tampa dealership I purchased my vehicle from always suggests Gene Perez as their official go-to shop to handle any certified body work. The door was replaced with a brand new factory piece ordered from Germany and the remaining exterior damage on the car was beautifully restored. You can tell much care went into properly matching/blending the new paint. When it was time to pick up my car, I was happy to see it back to its original condition. They did a great detail/wash on the car and my service rep who happened to be the general manager, John Grotto, gave me no hassles when I wanted to bring the car back in for minor detail issues. John made sure I was 100% satisfied with their work and that kind of customer service goes a long way. Once insurance/payment details are sorted out, turnaround time is good here considering that it can take weeks for parts to be shipped/delivered from the overseas manufacturers. I felt that they wasted no time on repairs once the parts came in and I could always easily get an update by giving John a call. If youre a foreign car owner and want to entrust a local body shop to repair any damage to your vehicle, this would be the place to go.

Within the past 2 years, I’ve had 2 cars with minor (under $1500) aesthetic damages repaired here. Both times the quality of the repair was excellent. The thing that stood out to me the most about the quality of their finished repairs is their ability to color match three-stage pearlescent paints very well and lack of any residual repair markings. The finish is nearly perfect - truly a step above the work from other shops, especially the dreaded chain body shops. The service from Sean, Jeff, and Louise was great, too.My only complaint about the more recent finished job is that the car left with significantly more light swirl marks than it entered with, especially on the hood and front fenders, areas that were not repaired during this job. So, I advise you decline all unnecessary exterior detailing if you actively paint correct your car, which is something this shop will let you do.Overall, I highly recommend Gene Perez Body Repairs for their truly outstanding quality of finished repairs and solid service. The slight premium you might pay for work at this shop is easily worth it, as quality automotive body work is hard to find around the Tampa area.

I am so happy with the care and service I received at Gene Perez Body Repairs. Jeff B. was my service adviser and he was great about keeping me updated. Because of Jeffs attention to my vehicle the process was smooth and my car looks great!

First off, I was referred by my BMW dealership to get repairs done here. That recommendation carried a great deal of weight and I hoped that Gene Perez was going to deliver. I walked in and was pleasantly greeted by the receptionist. I was immediately assigned to Jeff Beavers. He was extremely professional and straight forward with the quote. My M235i had a significant dent on the rear quarter panel and I expressed my concerns with the lines of the car being kept in tact post repair. Jeff assured me that they could get the car back to original condition. I had to postpone my repairs twice due to the other guys insurance dragging their feet. The staff was extremely accommodating to these delays. Once I received payment I took the car in and they got to work. They finished the repairs ahead of schedule and communicated very well throughout the process. When I went to pick it up I was blown away by how clean the repair was. I stared for several minutes at just about every angle. In summary, Im extremely impressed with their work and their service. I will continue to utilize their services and recommend them to anyone that values superior service and results.

I just wanted to let everyone know that I took my 2008 M3 convertible to Gene Perez Body Repairs, after it was smashed all the way down the entire car. I have little faith in body shops and I explained to them up front that if it was not perfect they would be redoing the work.I am pleased to say that they exceeded my expectations. I have never had a more pleasurable experience, and my car was absolutely perfect. If you ever need anyone to work on your car take it to Gene Perez, there is no one better!!!

Mere days before shipping my car out for an overseas career move, I had incurred a rear end collision while sitting at a light. I take great care and pride in my car, and I want only the best hands touching it, so I chose Gene Perez to do my body work on my 2011 335is BMW. I would like to point out that Jeff had handled my car for the duration of its repairs. Jeff had shown me a great deal of superior professionalism, and has been MORE than accommodating and understanding of my situation being overseas, and his willingness to work with me. Jeff assured me my Audi would look brand new, and he definitely came through. They updated me on every aspect of my cars repair, as well as communicated directly with my insurance company. Gene Perez has worked on several of my cars over the last 10 years and the quality of their work is nothing short of excellent. As for timing on my most recent incident - longer than I would have liked however, I have to take into consideration the shop having to request supplements from the insurance company along with parts availability and delivery times for parts. My point of contact in the office was efficient and if unavailable, followed up quickly. So far, all of my incidences were covered under insurance. If, like me, you have to step outside of your / an insurance companys preferred provider, by all means do so. Insurance is chasing the gwad almighty dollar, not quality. And in spite of what an insurance company may advise, Gene Perez will guarantee their repairs. Oh, and insurance will inconvenience you in your desire to deal with Gene Perez .... still worth it by far. I have no complaints what so ever and highly recommend their services.

Must not need my business asked for EST to fix my truck got a lot of mouth and said he will email my EST. That was 10 days ago so I wont go there, they dont keep there word.

This review is for Dave Perez....if I could give you 0 stars, I would have. In the past, when my vehicles needed work, I would bring my business here. Back on 08/07, I brought my truck in for repairs. It was jack knifed and the bed, fender, axel, etc. were damaged. I have have been getting the runaround from them and have not yet to get my truck back as I type this review today on 09/28. The last update I received was last week stating that all that needed to be done was install an aftermarket muffler and alignment. I advised them of the 2 locations where the aftermarket parts were purchased. 1. Amazon 2. Twisted Metal Off-Road. This should not be difficult to locate since the part numbers were supplied to them. During this process, the delay, they stated the incorrect part was sent to them. This is because they did not order the parts from what was given to them. For an alignment and muffler does not take more than a day. I’m sorry but I was the one took my vehicle to have installed and I know it does not take this long. Also, they advised that the individual that was working on my truck decided to work on “small bumper jobs” instead of mine so they can get them completed and out. I advised them I should get the priority because it’s been there for so long. It’s ridiculous.....I’ve contacted my insurance company, Geico and found out that Gene Perez was already paid on the job. GO FIGURE....this is why they are taking so long because they already got paid on the job. Now, they are telling me the Line-X bedliner still has to be sprayed. It’s a new issue each day with them. Asked to speak to the manager and for some reason, he is never available. In the future, I am no longer taking my business to Gene Perez. In addition, I will never refer them to anyone unless you want them to keep your vehicle 2+ months. Instead of responding to this review, it would be greatly appreciated if I was directly contacted and this issue is addressed.

I was referred to this collision shop by Land Rover which carried a great deal of expectations. From the first time I contacted them the general manager was rude, not customer friendly discounted my concerns and refused to investigate frame damage saying it was cosmetic. In my book the customer is always right so if this is your expectation do not use this shop. I was rearended at 30mph and after taking my vehicle else where I am glad I did because it was far more than cosmetic. I didnt have any work done because of the level of customer service I received when dropping my vehicle off. They need to work on customer service! John the general manager needs a customer service class!

On August 29 i had a fender bender in my 2016 BMW 740i, i asked how long would it take to finish my car the answer was September 18th, multiple times they said they need to order more parts, time goes by and on September 27 they called me and my car is finally ready for pickup, when i arrived I found multiple scratches, I waited couple of hours and they fixed the scratches on my car, i started my car and the AC is not working at all, the Ac was working fine before the accident, i had to wait till October 6 to get my AC fixed, it took them 36 days to fix a fender bender and it cost me over a thousand dollars in car rental.I wouldnt recommend this place even if they do it for free.

My new Subaru that I had only had for a few weeks was extensively damaged by someone who ran a red light. I had it towed to Reeses Subaru and they recommended Gene Perez Body Shop. I am so pleased with the work they did. You cant even tell that there was ever any damage done to it. It is perfect. And when I had problems with the headliner afterwards, Jeff. the manager working with me, said it was a Subaru Warranty problem. I believe he could have told me to go to Reese but he didnt, he worked it out with Reese first for me. If the need arises again I wont take my Subaru anywhere else. I would recommend them to everyone needing work.

There was no doubt that the quality of work was excellent. However customer service part was absolutely horrible. It took 39 WORKING days to complete my repairs on my Acura. After my car was there for 2 weeks I started checking in once a week on the progress. For three weeks in a row I was told we finally have all the parts in now and it will be ready at the end of the week. Unless I called there was zero communication.My service rep. showed very little concern and just kept making excuses. Due to the length of time it took to finish this car I thought he may have offered some type of adjustment on my deductible and I was disappointed again.Chuck Cotten

Jeff Beavers and the rest of the staff at Gene Perez exceeded my expectations when I had them (as suggested by Reeves VW) repair my 2012 GTI after another driver turned into the passenger side of my car. Not only did they do a flawless job on the repairs, they fought with the insurance agency on my behalf to ensure that they paid for the repairs to be done properly, not at the cut rate levels the insurance estimator originally proposed. I would recommend Gene Perez and would not hesitate to use them again in the future.
