Stopped by this cute General Store. Staff was super friendly. The goods sold here were just adorable. Had the Hampton Hample....what a delicious combo of flavors. Definitely will be back!!!

My husband took me here the other day for the first time. This is a frequent stop for him on the way to work and he raves about it often. The food today wasnt as great as he says it usually is, late Sunday evening staff. My husband says they usually add more meat to their sandwiches and they were also out if the gator chicken salad. Overall it was still a wonderful experience, the little shop is lovely! I will definitely be back again.

I pass this place all the time and finally decided to stop. Its a quaint Mom and Pop shop with local treats and beer. You can find local pasta sauces, pasta, wine,beer, honey and chocolate!!!! I tried the Figgy Piggy sandwich today. It was a good, light breakfast under ten bucks. My only complaint was the Applewood bacon consisted of only 2 slices at most spread across a generous sized sandwich.

I ordered the Hampton Hample on Marble Rye bread. This sandwich is delicious. The staff here are very friendly and the prices are great. This place has been on my Want To Go list for awhile now, and Im glad I finally decided to come! Theres also indoor and outdoor seating (with fans) which is a plus! I will be back!

Such a delicious breakfast! I had the figgy piggy and it was such a treat. I was hesitant at first, but the combo of savory and sweet is perfectly balanced. Also they have a great variety of local goods in the store, I picked up some raw honey that was so tasty. Definitely worth a stop in if you havent been there before!

Passed by one day and knowing my sister likes antique things decided to stop by with her for lunch. I got the Hampton Gamble & she got a Cuban. Excellent sandwiches, nice old-timey decor, & pleasant staff. When you go try the Greek potato salad. Well be back to try a couple of the other sandwich choices.We also picked up some blue crab salsa & sweet potato chips. Grab some of those on the way out.

I had the American on Marble Rye. Roast beef with Turkey slices....Great Sandwich! The smells coming from the little gem of a place will make draw you in. Homemade lemonade and Tea make an amazing Arnie Palmer. Sorry the pic could be better. Go there!

I paid $19 and waited 23 minutes for two sandwiches (both not made to order). it is disappointing to wait that amount of time for a veggie sandwich and an all American sandwich. Especially when there was only one ticket ahead (with only two sandwiches on it). The Cheese was left off on both sandwiches and the All American was very light on the meat. I weighed it in fact…. .12lbsThe prepackaged cold cut sandwich at the Circle K across the street was probably a better option for time, cost, and taste.

What wonderful accident. We stumbled across a delightfully curated general store. True to it’s namesake it offers sandwiches, soups, salads and an assortment of items for sale. Pure ingredients, generous portions take it to go or sit outside on the porch. This is a great place to relax with the Beatles.

Stopped in around 330 on a Wednesday. Staff was super courteous and fast! Chicken salad sandwich made really well. Comfortable environment didnt hurt. I got lucky choosing the place on a whim. Highly recommend!!

Had been talked out of trying this place due to a rumor of bad faith and false innuendos. So glad i was asked to a meeting there. Most excellent experience. Delicious Cuban. Reasonable fare. But test came when i asked about the rumor directly. The reply was most satisfactory. Do not believe everything you hear. There is much more than simple black or white. I will be back. Very sorry i allowed myself to be influenced without proof and the entire story. Also being a history major i understand mask wearing. These people look very happy smiling away. I felt quite comfortable with outside setting and huge inside space!

I live in Seminole Heights and try to leave positive reviews for all spots in my neighborhood. However I would not recommend ever coming again. Ordered one Cuban sandwich to-go around lunch time. Sandwich took 30 minutes to prepare. No hand hygiene was performed by any staff members throughout the entire process. They forgot to include the chips that we paid for in the to-go bag. Just skip the General Store and go elsewhere.

The ambiance has me sold! I feel like I am in the country side when I am here. I had a turkey sandwich on wheat with provolone cheese. It comes with tomatoes, lettuce, mayo, mustard, onions and pickles. With a side of potato salad or coleslaw. The sandwich comes piled high with meat and cheese and vegetables believe me they dont skimp ingredients here. I actually split my sandwich with my mom. The employees are friendly and helpful. You order at the counter and they bring the order to the table of your choosing. Fresh ingredients and great tasting sandwich for $5.00 you cant beat it.

Cute atmosphere. They had quite a collection of off brand sodas and other drinks. They had some amazingly scented handmade soaps and an assortment of condiments, snack foods and wines. The sandwiches were pretty good as well.

Wait to be served, some one was behind the counter guy had a beard no beard guard or hair nets, against heath regulations. Than,some regular customers comes in and is given coffee immediately yet Im still waiting. When I saw no mask I was like Im out of here. So much supporting local business.NO THANKS

I love their gator chicken salad sandwich and salad. Today I decided to finally try their breakfast. I chose a 3 egg white omelet that listed swiss cheese, avocado, tomatoes and wheat toast (was given what appeared to be white bread)with a bowl of fresh fruit on the side. Much to my dismay, when I got to work and sat down to eat, my omelet was loaded with crunchy bits of onions and bell peppers. Had these items been listed in description, I would have kindly asked to omit them. I did eat my breakfast, trying to pick out as many crunchy veggies from the egg whites as possible. I would have enjoyed it much more as described though.

I am always having my order messed up always have to wait 25 min for two sandwiches. Never an apology out of these people. The worst service. Do not come here.

A hidden gem! Old time General store with small selection of eclectic goodies for sale along with IMO delicious sandwiches. I had a Cuban with potato salad and my son had the Chicken salad.

I ordered Cuban sandwich and it was quite good! I love the ambience of the place - it is like a remote roadside restaurant only it is in the heart of the city! Take out the noise from Hillsborough Ave and the place is perfect!

A little disappointing today. They were completely out of ice cream, so we ended up getting candy for our granddaughters. I dont understand the direction the owners are heading, but Im not in a hurry to visit them again.

The inside was cute, we had to sit at a shared table which was a little dirty. We got there and it took forever for someone to actually take our order, its was actually a little awkward that even though we were standing at the counter, we werent really acknowledged, it was kinda busy so I let it go. Once we placed the order it took almost 30 mins for a Cuban sandwich. The sandwich was okay, but if we go back again, Id rather call it in for pickup instead.

With venues like this I am seeing the attraction of Seminole Height Florida Nebraska area. The food itself was ok. Fresh enough. Sandwiches were primarily salads(tuna, egg, chicken) and you choose your bread and condiments. I liked the overall experience alot. Very tasteful hipster I guess? The interior is an exposed aluminum frame covered in shiny vinyl sheeting. Walls of clean utilitarian wood shelves selling interesting looking niche products like sauces and jarred peaches. Modestly priced food. 70s pop music.

OMG! The Hampple, their in house, employee created, dream of a sammich, is so ufckin yum that Im willing to bet that when you leave, the drool of enjoyment will cover your shirt. Hooked on this place! The food is delicious, service was great! The decor is awesome, it has a small town country feel in the middle of busy Tampa. I love it! The sweet tea was perfect plus they have a craft beer section too! Very cool! Will definitely be back! Thanks guys 😊

Seminole Heights General Store is a 10/10. They have been a long time destination for lunch but recently have gone above and beyond during the pandemic. As always the store was clean and very well displayed. They followed social distancing guidelines and safety protocols. I ordered their Cuban sandwich and it was one of the best I have tried yet. Their salads are always fresh and you cant go wrong with any of the other sandwiches they offer either. If you want friendly service and great food this is a must stop in Tampa.

I ordered a turkey and cheddar cheese sandwich with Southern potato salad. The bread was stale and there was hardly any mustard or mayonnaise on it so I had to add my own once I got home. The bigger problem was that while I waited for my sandwich to be made another customer came in, stood about two feet from me and did not have a mask on! Neither employee asked him if he had one or to leave the store until he came back in wearing one. I cant believe after 9 months of the Pandemic that businesses still allow customers inside without adhering to the mask mandate. I wont be back.

Amazing! I stumbled in by accident from a referral from a old Tampa establishment and they were right. From Tampa to Miami, Im always hunting for a great Cuban sandwich and these folks have a great one. A healthy 8 hot and crispy delicacy. Fresh pork, a good portion of ham and down it went. I even forgot to take good Pic to show it off. The cookies and pastries are delicious as well. They are all hand made and take time, and the staff is working is personable and helpful. Relax and enjoy, youll be pleased. Thanks

Absolutely a must try! Outstanding food with a warm welcome! My daughters and I pass many eateries between Citrus park and Seminole Heights just to enjoy the food and service. Grab a sandwich, treat and something for the pantry if you are in the area. And dont forget the glass bottles! The bottle caps are just perfect.

Great salads! We work in the area and just discovered this place. If you need a healthy quick option for a quick bite, this is the place. I dont understand why people choose fast food over local, fresh, healthy options like this gem. The atmosphere is authentic and so are the people who work there!!

I am all about supporting local businesses but not when they show a lack of support for their very own employees, especially ones that worked hard to build the business up. Moral code comes a long way. You will fail in the long run if you dont practice it.

I give this place 3 stars. While interesting theres room for improvement. I visited here during lunch with a party of 7. Everyone, except for 2 people, were more than pleased with their meals. The Cuban sandwich was an authentic, legit Cuban and it was scrumptious! The only complaints about food were that the lettuce in the salad was old and browning and that the southern style potato salad lacked any real flavor and the potatoes were barely cooked. As far as the store itself goes, its cute. Theres lots of old, antique stuff around. Theres wine, soda, chips, snacks, candles and other trinkets and things for sale. As far as customer service goes, I dont know if the day we went was a one off but the employees seemed to be wrapped up in their personal conversation instead of getting customers orders right. One person in our party got a simple sandwich and they messed it up. By the time she got the correct sandwich she originally ordered, the rest of us were more than halfway through our meals. Not to mention another lady in our group got a salad, and as I mentioned before the lettuce was browning so she passed on the salad and shared a sandwich with one of our other guests. Other than that, portion sizes are great and the sandwiches are delicious! Havent been for breakfast but Ive heard good things.

The place itself is really cute, one of the reasons why we stopped in. However, the food isnt great....my friend got a spicy chicken salad sandwich that had no flavor whatsoever. I got a pulled pork sandwich which was super greasy but barley warm for some reason. The only thing we really enjoyed was the peanut butter pie, and in not even sure if its actually made at this location. Definitely not a place Ill be eating at again.

I ordered a tiramisu for my fiancé’s birthday, and on the day of, the baker called and left me a very nice message telling me it was ready, then life got hectic and I needed it delivered so they helped me figure out how to have Uber Eats deliver it! The excellent service I received was second only to how delicious the tiramisu was. Not the place I would’ve expected to get authentic tiramisu but so glad I did!!! Thank you all!

I was pleasantly surprised by this place. Love the old world charm of it all.The lunch was flavourful, filling and reasonably priced.The staff was warm and friendly and answered all of my questions.

This quaint little shop, makes the best sandwiches. We purchased a Cuban, which was so tasty and the Hampton hampel, which was absolutely bursting with flavor. They carry products made locally in Seminole Heights areas. My favorite is the apple butter with pecans . We highly recommend this little store on the corner of Florida Avenue and Hillsborough Avenue.

I literally popped in about 45mins ago on my way home from work. The bus was delayed and I really didn’t feel like cooking dinner. I ordered a Cuban for my husband and a gator chicken salad sandwich on marbled rye for myself. Both employees were friendly and polite. Even though they were ready to close up I didn’t feel rushed. They have an assortment of handmade soaps, local treats, local wines and huge home made cookies. Anyhow the sandwiches. My husband said his Cuban was really good and well made. Exactly the way he likes them. My gator chicken salad sandwich was AMAZING. It’s got the right amount of kick to it and the pickles and tomatoes balance it out so well. The marbled rye was also a nice flavor profile instead of traditional white bread. We will definitely order from here again. It may just become our new favorite local place.

We saw your general store with Charlie on channel 13. We decided to go since he said everything was homemade. We had the Cuban sandwich and homemade chicken pot pie soup. The Cuban was good. But we were very disappointed with the soup. First of all it was cold and watery. Worst of all it was either canned mix vegetables or frozen. $5 for small cup we expected homemade and something delicious.
