Work done to preserve a rocker well over 120 years old made a family heirloom beautiful and useful again!

I recently had several items of furniture repaired. The repairs included an antique hutch with sagging drawers, a cherry wood dining table and chairs that needed to be refinished, surfaces that had chips in them from an old antique set, and scratched end table with inlaids. I dealt with Leon, who was highly professional, punctual, and knowledgeable. All the repairs were done with great skill. I couldnt be more pleased. I had put off these repairs for years, but now feel it was so worth it. It all looks better than when I first bought the items. I can highly recommend Southern Transit, without reservation.

Southern Transit Repair is a fantastic company to work with. My Sleeper Sofa’s frame broke recently, a little over a year after it was purchased. This couch had been lightly used, and I don’t have children or large animals to jump on it. Luckily, I had paid with my American Express credit card, which extended the manufacturer’s warranty.Southern Transit Repair was great about working with Amex, providing a repair estimate through their form using photos I took of the couch and damage. Their staff were courteous, responsive and helpful through the process. As soon as I received approval from American Express to get the repair done, I made an appointment with them.The gentlemen who came to fix the couch were very courteous and knowledgeable. Examining the couch, they confirmed what I already suspected – the sofa sleeper had a manufacturing defect, which was why it broke so easily. He explained how that type of mistake generally happens in a factory. They not only fixed the damage, but also replaced the defective wood and reinforced it so this wouldn’t happen again. The upholstery was re-attached and you’d never know that anything happened at all.Even if my sofa was not covered under the extended warranty, I would have them again. Their pricing seems very fair for the work done, their staff are friendly and experienced, and my sleeper sofa is fully functional again. I couldn’t ask for more, and I highly recommend them.

If I ever need furniture repair again, I will definitely be calling you guys again.. I worked with Mr Lon and he was very punctual and efficient!...My recliner had a huge tare in it and wouldnt recline anymore, but now it seems brand new again thanks you guys...Thank you again!

This company tried to charge me $500+ for two minor dents on furniture. They knew we were a business that wasnt located in Florida and tried to take advantage of us by trying to overcharge us big time. The job should have been around $200. They also wanted to charge us sales tax on every single task (i.e. paint match, repair of each piece, etc.) something no business does when exchanging in commerce with an out of state business. Be careful doing business with them. You will pay the absolute highest cost with this company especially if you have no understanding of the costs in this particular field of business. Theyre not interested in whats fair, but rather raking in a ton of money off your inconvenience. Id recommend finding another company.
