The staff was extremely helpful and kind. We had just started pulling our own deck boards when it started pouring. Not only did they move the boards to a covered area, they helped us get the boards we wanted, talked us through it, and helped load the trailer.

I love the crew sad to see my buddy is no longer there anymore. Highly recommended

Excellent building supply store. New location near TCC is much bigger and nicer than the old location. Only local building materials store that delivers for free (far as I know)..

My one-stop shop for building needs!

Sand bags filled and empty.Until summer, this is apparently the only source of sandbags in the Tallahassee area. Our road was threatened by runoff overtopping it. We needed two hundred filled sand bags. Gadsden county emergency management had no empty bags and a small reserve--of 140 filled sand bags--which they could only release during a declared emergency. Ah, but they referred us to J H Dowling. thankyouService.Tim in sales helped me understand that a concrete riprap wall length in feet by height in feet X 1.5 was the number of 80 pound bags of dry rip rap needed. the yard man, Michael, loading the sandbags with a forklift, was every bit as nice and helpful. Knowledgeable and helpful and nice even though our order was small.Product..we bought all the filled bags and one hundred empty bags at prices comparable to the big box stores, who only had fifty pound bags of construction sand--which is maybe cleaner--in less durable clear plastic bags for higher prices. The big box stores did not have any empty sand bags at all.thankyou JH Dowling, Gadsden County Emergency Managment, and the NW Florida Water Management districts, Mike Rundell for pointing us in the right direction to begin with.
