So grateful that my Jamaican coworker introduced me to this place. Dont let the small amount of storefront glass fool you. This market is large and very well stocked. I love the variety of fresh vegetables and I purchased the best tasting Curry powder I have ever had; and it is proudly made in Jamaica.Such an amazing array of meats and animal products. Im a fiend for some oxtail and the cooler case had a mountain of them.Sorry to say I cannot find the photographs I took while shopping there.

I love this place! This is my second time visiting this market, and I love it. I found some Ginger Extract here and I love it too. I purchased two bottles of it and I am going back to get me four more.I saw some other things I want to try and I am going to get them too id they have any. I am going to try some ox tails. I never had them, but I hear a lot of people talk about them. They sell cooked foods also, so I tried their Jamaican Beef patties, and I was impressed with the quality of the crust. They were not hard, dry, or crumbling. They also sell music CDs, jewelry, soaps, fresh fruits, and lots of juices and drinks. Its not a large market, so there is not a lot of walking to do your shopping. They take cash, credit cards, and SNAP!

All tasty things Caribbean! If youre from any of the islands and you love the cuisine, snacks, drinks then you will love this place. Theres also a kitchen where you can buy oxtails, curry chicken, saltfish ( many more cooked dishes) ready to eat. Theres no dine-in so youll have to take it to go (I actually never make it out of the parking lot without eating something.)

Super Awesome Bakery!!!!!! I greatly appreciate the ladies in the bakery, very nice and professional. Miss. Cherri( not sure if I spelled her name correctly) is Beyond Awesome!!!!! I send a pic of what I want my cake to look like and she works her magic and gets it done. The cupcake cakes were delicious, moist and beautiful. My kids were so surprised and happy with their birthday cakes. Thank you Miss. Cherri 🙂

Its way too expensive. Especially the cook food. Why is 1 basketball by itself $4.50 then you have to buy the salt fish separately, whos is $12 or $13 a lb. I didnt about $12 for one bake and salt fish. That is ridiculous. Ox tail is $12 a lb... why? I go to savanna which is an African grocery store in gaithersburg where you can get the same meat for half the price.

I had the worst service here today. The cashier, Shemar was horrible. She just threw my groceries into the bag. She then proceeded to try to fill all the items in one bag, crushing everything in there. We used 5 bags and she charged us for 20 bags. I’m not complaining about $0.75, but have people who are kind and want to work at your facility. People like this makes you not want to come back to shop here. People come here to purchase items they can’t get at their regular grocery stores and the same way you would want anyone else to handle your items with care and show respect and kindness, the same should be applied to your facility.

This is one of the best Caribbean stores in MD. I’ve lived in both Montgomery and PG County my entire life and I have yet to find one better. Everything you could need (Caribbean items, that is) is here. The selection of products it’s awesome. I only wish the produce (fruits/veggies) was a little more extensive. The take away food they’re preparing in the kitchen the pastries they’re baking are also very good.

AWFUL..Rude Staff. Over priced items in the store, and rotten produces.I drove from Germantown in order to purchase fresh Callolloo and Salt Fish (Cod fish). $17.00 FOR the fish 7.85 for Calloloo. In addition, I bought red bell pepper and 2 tomatoes( spoiling, must use the next day ..28.78for my order..THE people that work there are rude, the cashier and the lady behind the hot food counter....I will not be returning. I rather drive to Baltimore for authentic Jamaican groceries.

Prepare to spend some money for a few things. Usually I go to carribean markets for things related to cooking so it will last a good while for me. The service there was neutral not the best but also not bad on my visit. The bora and few other veggies should be pre wrapped or wrapped up to sell. Was a bit uncomfortable with cashier touching the bora to try to ring up/scan with the same gloves handling money.

This is basically the only Caribbean supermarket you can find yes they have what you want BUT its over price to the highest level back in the days like 10 years ago the FOOD was great with taste you could have actually taste the seasoning in the FOOD and reasonable price, Now the Food is by weight? Thats high way robbery no taste whatsoever they need to do better. Overall I give a star.

I guess I chose a bad day to go. Normally, I shop here on the weekends (Saturdays to be exact). However, theyre calling for heavy rain this weekend so I decided to go today (Wednesday) after work.
