It was a little confusing shopping during the Covid. Call the number on the door, pull into the yard & park in a parking stall, get 8n line with your paperwork - 6 apart. Theyll bring your purchase to your vehicle. Super helpful & friendly staff!

Not the usual place I go to as a contractor, usually Auburn or Bellevue, so made the trip down here because of the stock issue. Was paid and out by my truck first, waiting for him to finish his last order. Ive been to mutual a few hundred times now but very few in Parkland. He ended up helping a group of men that came out last.Loader seems to like to play favoritism I guess... Another customer even said he was here first and he had the nerve to start laughing and then drives up to me and says looks like you didnt wake up early enough and drove away. The same customer who pointed out I was first said to him why dont you help him(me) out for a second, I only had one item on my order and he said, I have my own process... Seriously, what a dick.First come first obviously does not apply here. I know I am young and of different ethnicity but there is no reason to have me wait over 40 minutes on the clock now like I have all the time to spare time in the world. Older gentleman loader. Office is real nice though.

Im just a guy who works for a local school and not some high spending landscaper. I was building a 400+ stone block retaining wall this past summer while work was slow. MM had a batch of COLOR DEFECT retaining wall blocks on sale. This fit my budget and I was able to help out a local business. I ordered 9 pallets.200 blocks into the wall I could not figure out why I was having so much trouble stacking the blocks. Nothing was coming out even. I had to grind or shim numerous block. It was taking hours to set a full course. Chalk it up to inexperience but I finally measured the blocks I was sold. More than half what I had left were between 1/4 and 1/8 short of being 6 inches tall. Stacking blocks that are 1/8 short on top of each other results in a 1/4 deficit....then 3/8...then 1/2...you get the picture. The end result is a wall that is not level and very dangerous.I show up in person to the Parkland office and plead my case. They offered a few pallets of replacement blocks (also color defect which really meant shape defect). It was a Friday and deliveries already went out. I had to have these blocks during the weekend as I had a tight timeline to stick to. I had to rent a truck and trailer on my own dime to get the new blocks on Saturday ($$) and hire some students to help me finish ($$) because the mishaped blocks crushed my timeline.MM sent a supervisor out to measure my blocks. He confirmed they were 1/8 short but that was within spec which is total BS. I called the Bellevue office and they assured me all those blocks are 6 inches high. Then he made it sound like MM did me a huge favor by letting me have two more pallets for free because the blocks I bought were sold as-is. Really!? I guess if they all showed up busted in half I would be out of luck too since they are sold as-is.When it was all over the faulty blocks cost me about $600 in what I had to pay for a rental truck/trailer and extra help to finish the wall. Not to mention I have three full pallets of off-spec blocks in my yard I am stuck with. Thank for nothing Mutual Materials. Next time Ill stick with the big box stores. I guess its my fault for trying to stay local. You really screwed a guy who tried to save some money by doing a project himself. Dont worry though...I will be sure to tell all my friends and colleagues about how well you stand behind your products.

I drove 35 mins to their Parkland, WA location on a Saturday only to find that they were closed…..Even though their website said they were open. I had even tried to call ahead, but rather than having their basic hours of operation info on their voicemail service, it just said We are either on another line or away from the desk. When I returned to try again a week later, they were open and the staff was perfectly helpful and nice. As a contractor, I have a busy schedule (like everybody else) and I have to use my time carefully and efficiently. Communication is key in my business. These guys need to mange their websites and phone systems better. My initial experience almost kept me from ever going back.

They have a lot of pavers which is nice, but I had a bad experience because I was given a price sheet for all the pavers they had. My husband and I spend about an hour walking around figuring out which ones we liked and how many we needed. I did all the math based on the price sheet the sales person gave me. We finally decided on the style and color that we wanted. The price list showed each paver costing $6.14 a piece totally $590 before tax, based on how many we needed. We go to the sales counter ready to pay and the guy behind the counter tells me they are $7.89 a piece. umm NO, I showed him the price sheet they just gave us and all he says is well we have to go off the computer not the price sheet. Why would you give me a price sheet that isnt accurate. Before tax with the price the computer was saying put the bricks $250-$300 more than what we expected based off our price sheet. The manager was not in, so they did not honor the price that was on the price list they gave us.. We left with nothing because I refused to pay almost $2.00 more per brick... I wanted to support local, but there is something shading go on there. I also wanted to buy their close out bricks as I heard they were a good deal. We were told they were $5.00 a brick, no returns, and you get what you get. Not a real bargain if you ask me... Sad we couldnt have supported this company, but oh well they lost out on $650 from us.

They carry good products but the customer service and business practices are behind the times. I have shop here before for other jobs and Ive never had to return something until today. It was a bottle of sealer. The bottle had to be placed back on the shelf 30 feet away and they wanted to charge me $15 to do so becaus behind the times. I have shop here before for other jobs and Ive never had to return something until today. It was a bottle of sealer. The bottle had to be placed back on the shelf 30 feet away and they wanted to charge me $15 to do so! They said its a 15% restocking fee, and I replied yeah thats 15 bucks on the hundred dollar purchase! I guess Ill be back to the box stores or Amazon prime in the future. I can understand a 15% restocking fee on a pallet of tile or brick when it takes a tremendous amount of time to put it back but on a stupid bottle of sealer that is ridiculous!
