I was greeted as soon as I entered the store. The clerk asked me if there was anything that they could help with? I told him what I needed and he gave me clear directions on where to find it. I was pleasantly surprised at the selection and prices. Great hardware store!

They have the most helpful staff. They have the hard to find, quality USA made items that the big box does not have. I love my neighborhood Ace.

This is a great neighborhood hardware store! You get MUCH better service than the Big Box stores. They have pretty good selection...and the staff actually know where stuff is! The prices are competitive, especially if you join Ace Rewards (which gives you monthly discounts for items you actually buy). Plus, its much easier to access from the street and parking is convenient. I usually try this store first, before going to HD. Finally, pick up their free calendar...it has a $5 off coupon every month!

I had an unusual situation in that I needed to hunt for an odd lightbulb for my housekeeper long distance. It was a Type T bulb that is DC but is marked 120V AC on the base. We needed it quickly because it was for my vacation rental. We had no numbers on the bulb other than the fixture saying use only Type T bulb 50 W or less. Nothing about AC/DC. I called our Westgate Ace Hardware. This place has always been reliable, handy and the people are always knowledgeable or know who to ask. Well they asked Andy! He was amazing. He really went the extra mile. With only a picture and no dimensions he figured out exactly what we needed and sent a photo for me to send my housekeeper. My paying guests will not be eating at a dining table in the dark thanks to my favorite hardware store! Thank you Andy!!

In my opinion: this is something you will probably only see at an Ace Hardware Store. Never have I seen before, what I saw an agent do at the Tacoma, Wa Store, N. Pearl Street. I believe her name was Marsha. And I just want to say that you won’t see her kind of customer service probably anywhere else.In the 7 minutes I was in the store, I watched around me as I usually do while waiting in line; In the forty years I have frequented Ace Hardware stores in our region, I have never had an untoward experience. But what Marsha did today tops most of my shopping experiences—anywhere in my memory.Most Ace Workers keep their eyes open for customers who look like they need help, but Marsha went a step beyond ‘the most’. I watched as she helped carry some of a customer’s heavy wares toward the counter. On the way, she noticed a ‘customer in need’ and asked him if he needed help. He said yes, and she promised to do two things: after carrying she promised to come back and help that customer, and if she couldn’t within so many minutes, she would get someone else to assist the person.That alone was good customer service, but what she did two minutes later, when she ended up assisting the checkout-customer’s heavy wares into his car, she contacted another worker via ‘Talkie’ and asked that someone to assist the needing customer. She even remembered exactly what aisle to direct her co-worker to.These series of acts, plus the follow-through showed that she really took the customer service phrase “Remember me I’m the customer” to heart. I’m glad Marsha works for Ace Hardware, and this day I was privileged to see her as a marvelous, outstanding addition to an already consistent and professional company. Again, I must say, you will probably only see this kind of agent at Ace Hardware Store.

Conveniently located neighborhood hardware store, with a far better selection of useful stuff than you would have expected. Save yourself a trip to the big box, and stop here for the small things.

These people have been wonderful to work with for years. Everyone I have ever been helped by here have always been kind, helpful and pleasant. Never too busy to be the helpful hardware man. I drive for miles to shop here even though there is an Ace right down the street!

So rude I asked if they had isolation vacuum bags and the first guy hung up on me than the second girl said yes so I asked her if she could just double check to be absolutely sure and she says (well we have contractors bags.) I said oh no not the same thanks anyway and in a really rude manner grunted and hung up on me! Very poor customer service

Do not shop here although the floir staff is friendly the mannager has no customer service skills at all i had a recite for an online pick up i went to go get it when i got the email they said they were out of stock. All the mannager said was i will get an email but i already had one for the. Item i said i either want my prod2 or a refund and i was tild no by the mannager and i would get an e mail. Is that what this company call customer service just no you can have your product or money but will give you an e mail?

They have really nice Hallmark cards and other items that you may need for building and gardens if youre trying to have a great garden but all means all your garden accessories you can find them at Ace have a great blessed day people.

I was in dire need of a new cart for groceries. I stopped at ACE and inquired if they had one. L.p. and behold they did. The drawback was it came unassembled. No problem...the sales associate shared they could assemble it. I shopped for an hour and came back. I was delighted it was finished and done with a smile. Great hardware store!Very organized and they have almost everything you need at a competitive price.The isles are tight as they added as many rows as possible to fit as much products they can given the size of place this one is which is not that large compared to others I have been in.The staff is friendly and helpful and that is a plus plus when you don’t know exactly what you need.Most of the time we need consulting on a project and places like Home Depot and Lowe’s May not be the best choice for all the info you need but ACE has always been helpful every time I have needed it.

Its a decent place - clean and easily accessible. The employees were courteous and tried to be helpful. But they didnt have the light bulb I needed for my under cabinet lighting. It wasnt a stretch. They just are not very well stocked.

I love the customer service for returns, especially for this store. Despite me using the a product over the return policy, Ace was still able to offer a return. I would totally recommend Ace over other hardware stores for this type of service.Also, when they didn’t have an item I wanted, they even told me a competitive store to get what I wanted that would have a cheeper price. And they were right, I went to other stores and couldn’t find a better price.Thank you for being an outstanding business.

Visit this location many times and ended up going down the street or to Home Depot.This time no hi, how are you just a simple smile to acknowledge that Im there. Nice and refreshing.Now maybe eliminate the paint or reduce selection to more basic items.Too much extra stuff in the store.

Turkey day savers at ace. Didnt notice a pinhole in my deep fryer until it was time to cook. Called around to find everyone closed including ace...but Manager picked up phone checked inventory and let me make a purchase. We are truly thankful for Ace saving the day!

This is really really a nice store. Not all are good. This one is. Clean, the staff are pleasant. Its cared for and about. You can see it and feel it. Lots of light coming in through the main front, friendly place. Its in a great shopping complex, next to large grocery store and a gas station and other neat stores of different types.

A great hometown hardware store. Has most of the things you need without having to deal with the bozos at the big box stores.

Ace the helpful place is extremely accurate with this particular location. I come in with an idea and a staff member will approach ask how to help and will tell you how to get the project done and will walk you to each section to make sure you have all the tools you need to get your home project or repair done correctly and not try to sell you extra get you to spend more than necessary. Also they have carpet cleaning machines that works way better than the rug doctor machines you rent at grocery stores.

Great store. Needed help in the garden section quick service knew about different plants so it was helpful professional. Clean full stock of plants garden supplies. Bought a weed whacker inexpensive compared to bigger stores.

Wow. I wouldnt expect to find so much stuff in such a small location, but Ace packs a ton. Getting through the line is more like a grocery store. Free soda and coffee! But theyre knowledge is as helpful as you can expect with a more commercial setting. Very helpful.

They had what I was looking for.

Answering the phone promptly in a busy retail setting is often difficult. When the associate has never heard of the item or company that makes it, usually they just say they dont have it. But the folks at Westgate tracked down the only one of that item left and reserved it even after a typing error caused their computer to claim they didnt carry the brand, when they knew we were driving from another city they insisted we not rush and drive safely - just call them if we were running a little behind. We made it before closing, we got the item (according to the manufacturer, only three were available in western Washington), our workplace will be safer with the broken one replaced, sooooo A BIG thank you to the Westgate Ace Hardware staff!!!
