Super impressed with the staff here. Came in on a holiday (Labor Day) mid morning and I must have been welcomed or told good morning 6 times. Its thr little things, thank you!Store was well organized and clean and we found all that we stopped in for.
Not sure if the baggers are trained properly at this location. The cashier was great cant remember his name but he was very friendly and greeted me with a smile. The assistant didnt look happy and I wasnt when I got home. I unload my groceries the way they should be bagged. Boxes and canned goods first then frozen, produce and bread stuff. When putting things away I found my buns were under the cans so several were squished. I had to shop at this Freddys because my home store was having refrigerator issues. Ill only shop here for bits and pieces not a weeks worth of groceries.
Amazing store. its too bad that their are homeless people who will steal your backpack when its locked around your bike in between 8 and 9pm. but they do have amazing deals. but wish the homeless people werent hangingout at the 3 entrances panhandling and stealing peoples stuff.
Cayla from Seafood is amazing. She needs a corporate traveling position as her display of the Seafood elements is FANTASTIC! BELOW are the recent Teddy bears with butter flowers and lemon decor. 🍋 Wishing you get a raise $$$ or a AMAZING OFFER! AS YOU well deserve it Cayla.AMAZING HAPPY FISH DECOR! AWESOME ARTISTRY! Made me 😊😊😊😊😊 Thank YOU!Fantastic VALENTINES day arrangements. Other stores should follow your example. Now PLEASE FIX THE floors.
Warning! This is not a a safe location for a ATM! Heavy homeless area. Do not go to the ATM! Had a young homeless man yell at me while putting cash into the machine. Really scary! Then a second homeless man was next to the atm at a garbage can. This is not a safe place to get cash or deposit.
Like the store I always go there but man get SOME TOILET PAPER THAT DOESNT RIP WHEN YOU GRAB IT LOL Im tired of pinching the toilet paper man
I love Fred Meyers!Great place for lots of nessisary daily items!
I’m very disappointed in this Fred Meyers. I shop Instacart daily and I can’t believe how much chaos this store is in. There’s empty shelves, on a Saturday afternoon there’s 3 checkout lines open, never sky carts and seems the employees just don’t care about service or their Jon really at all. Management is definitely needed. It’s too bad, Fred Meier is my favorite place to shop so I’ll just have to go to the University Place or James Center. I hope these issues are fixed!
They were absolutely no carts or baskets available and they were out of many products.
Very unprofessional establishment, i was followed around by a male worker named Ethan, he was staring at my body and making me feel uncomfortable. When i brought it up to management they did nothing about it. He has made me and many other girls feel uncomfortable and its a shame that Fred Meyers does nothing about it. I would highly recommend young girls to not come to this store!
The produce here expires within about 2-3 days after purchase, we spoke to an employee who said they actually freeze their fruits and vegetables through the winter and put them out year round after they’ve been frozen for months on end. Their food selection outside of produce is very vast though which is helpful.
Easiest curbside pick up experience and everyone is always so friendly while maintaining social distancing. Great substitutions when needed :)
Poor customer service. Memarie should probably find another career that doesnt involve people, not our fault youre unhappy with your life. Hope you have better days!
Despite their great variety of products, they constantly are out of their store brand “Comfort for baby” large-xl pull-ups. This is at least the 4th time I’ve needed this product for my child and they have not had it. This is unacceptable and doesn’t help when they move their products around.
Bananas and cheese… don’t order bananas or cheese for curbside pickup. The bananas are usually squished or rotten and they will substitute the wrong cheese EVERY time.Everyone is nice… but they’ve got some real issues with bananas and cheese.
The employees at the location are so rude. They will walk within a inch of you & not make eye contact, or even greet you when you get up to customer service desk. I dont know if it has something to do with me being a tall attractive woman, but I drive out of my way to avoid going there for that reason.
Used needles and caps all over the parking lot. Homeless guy looking in the windows of my car as I can out of the store. For some reason this store has hardly any clothing and basically no shoes. I called to inquire about an item I desperately was trying to find. Was told yes they had it. Fought rush hour traffic for an hour only to get there and find out that no they dont have it. They were sold out..
In and out pretty swiftly the st checkout was easy to use clean store also
My husband tried to used the bathroom and it was filthy. My daughter tried to get a winning lotto ticket cashed but, the customer service had 3 people. Working on one person . We decided that between the disgusting bathroom and lack of training at customer service, we decided to go elsewhere. Also if you had a baby, the changing tablet was disgusting
Since covid-19, our family has been using pick-up shopping and the service has been really fantastic. They are wearing masks, many have gloves, keep good distance, and they make sure you have all that you ordered or make sure the replacement items are okay with you.
Never any shopping carts available
Excellent service, excellent care
Had to wait 3 hrs for pick up order!! Yes they called to let me know, but I live on the other side of the bridge and usually stop here on the way home from work. Even after the revised estimated time they gave me, it still wasnt ready. 9 cars were waiting for pick up orders. This has actually happened to me 3 times. Three strikes and youre out. Never coming back here for pick up again.
Always clean and every employee Ive ever encountered has been kind.
I would give this store 5 stars but during the senior shopping they are always stocking shelves which would seem to contradict making it safer for seniors, and it’s hard to get thru; plus I always have to go back several times because stuff isn’t on the shelves when the store opens. The Starbucks and the people who work there are the best always friendly and best drinks. My last comment is that the lottery machine is never working, I was told that it was turned on at 8:00am but that is not true, I have been there at 9am and it was not on; it should be on when the store opens at 7am.
One of my favorite grocery and home goods stores to shop at...Although, I DO sliiightlyyyyy prefer the University Place location for its MUCH larger selection of clothing products.
I bought a bouquet of flowers and when I got home and started putting them in a vase I found several that had brown spots, mold or the petals were falling off. I never spend $30 for flowers but I was doing something special for myself and it was so disappointing and frustrating that I spent that much and had to throw so many away.
Please keep aware of your surroundings. I was picked pocket of over two hundred dollars, some were scratch tickets. I believe that is were it happened as I was walking out. I also wish they could figure out how to keep the pan handlers off the premises. I have had some harassment while waiting to exit the property.
5/5 The sushi is delicious and made by hand. The independently locally owned Sushi department is near the Starbucks inside on the right hand side. Quality sushi that comes with different sauces and soy sauce, garlic slices, and wasabi in each container. Variety of options as well. Such as poke bowls, vegan sushi, and a variety of sushi and other dishes as well.4/5 stars: The sushi is a bit expensive, but there is a $5 sushi day each week and posted deals on sushi at the establishment.
They were out of carts. When seeing people standing around and not bringing them into store for other customers makes me not to shop here again.
The lady at self checkout with the 80s white girl fro needs to chill. Never had any problems at this or any other fred meyer but of course on a busy day when lines are going down the aisle even though more than half the self checkout lanes are available she wants to be a jerk and tell me I cant do something Ive been doing for years.
Turned away for a COVID Vaccination for the 3rd time at Fred Meyers. Said they have it available but they are not using it till Friday. Today is Monday. Tried at another Fred Meyer as well and they turned me away saying they had it but they are not giving it.
I like the store and the products, most of the time they have what I need. But several times theres someone who brings their pet into the store, around the groceries, and its not even a service animal!People dont want animal hair in the food they bring home, its disgusting and should be stopped.
I like this Fred Myers alot. You will wait in line a bit though.
Its great place to shop
I love this store, especially the pharmacy. But I saw employees all over the store either not wearing a mask, having it dangle from their face, hanging like a chin strap or not even covering their nose. I am surprised Fred Meyer is not stressing the real danger but if so, allowing the their employees risk the health of the customers. Furthermore, they have not required guests thus far to wear masks. I’m so disappointed. Some other stores require it so what makes Fred Meyers better? They set up special sections for alcohol to prevent theft but don’t appear to protect their customers at the same length! Shame!!
Horrible. The last 4 times I did click list pick up half of my items were not included or of less quantity than I requested. Multiple times they have delayed my order and then told me d/t my pick up time they were out of items like eggs, potatoes etc despite requesting substitutions. I have literally never NOT had an issue. The only reason I continue to try is to limit my COVID exposure because my family is high risk-will figure something else out. I’m done.
The majority of their staff either have no mask or are using it in an ineffective way. If this sort of thing concerns you I would not recommend going here.
This Freddies is always a great place to shop. It has everything one would need in a one stop shop type of situation. If youre looking for hot case food then youre in luck. They have a normally array of fried foods add youd expect. Try the fried chicken. It is outstanding. I usually get the baked chicken for a quick grab after work when I dont want to cook. Theyre are plenty of salads in the cold case as well. Several super health one too. If youre looking for bakery goods then Freddies has a better selection than most. Pretty much anything you want. Their cakes are also outstanding. Get one made to order or pick from whats on hand. Anyways good luck.
I will NEVER EVER shop anywhere else AGAIN. From Jeremy and his AMAZING staff to Tracy and front of the house. The Four Seasons of shopping and staff. Congrats U GUYS.
My wife and I have shopped at this fred meyer for years but after today, it looks like that habit is coming to an end. We were in the store for about the average amount of time we normally spend grocery shopping, but throughout the experience we didnt see a single associate wearing their mask properly. Most wore theirs below their nose making the masks completely useless. Some even wore them like a chin strap, signaling they had no concern whatsoever for the people around them. It seems the potential of being a murderer is not concerning to Fred Meyer employees. I only saw one employee wearing their mask properly. Her name was Katherine and she was bagging my groceries. I thanked her for her expression of what should be the common courtesy of trying to not kill anybody. This place is a disgrace. Katherine should be paid more. Well be shopping elsewhere soon if the employees continue to put countless lives at risk just as the curve is going back up.
Jay was my cashier and he did a great job. The thing that surprised me was that there was one bagger but she was helping someone else which was great, the thing that got me was that I had a lot of groceries which is why I wasn’t at a self check-out. But behind the cash register standing along the wall were what looked like two managers in there red vests. And instead of helping the cashier bag my items, they just stood back having a good time talking and laughing while I helped the cashier bag my stuff. I feel bad for the employees if these are the type of managers that work there.
Absolutely LOVE shopping at Freddys! Never have I ever had a bad experience shopping here. My family & I frequent this store 10+ times a month to fulfill our grocery and household needs. I have been a customer at this location for 20+ years. Nothing beats their selection and high quality produce!
Trevor (a manager I think), Cecilia (door greeter), and Gina (self checkout) were all amazing. Another manager whose name I didn’t catch and Wendy in the booze section helped and were amazing as well. All friendly, super helpful, and downright surprising in their effort to assist. This must be a great place to work because these people seemed genuinely happy. I’ll be back anytime I’m near. Thx guys.
I shop at this store at least 3 times a week if not more. I constantly see employees with masks pulled down to their necks, not covering the nose. They probably need a break, i get it. They should be relieved every so often, and given a 5 min. or so, to breathe off the floor. I constantly see multiple people in the store with no mask. You need to do your job, and stop this behavior. Your store already has positive covid cases. I wont be back until i know the cases wont spike or havent already. Especially since you dont tell us where the positive cases are. Are they the stockers that touch everything. Or the cashiers that touch everything. Is it office people, or cart pushers, the door greater, or the produce, or deli, bakery people. It matters, we should be told what departments are getting sick.
Great for a quick shop around, but you might struggle to find all your needs. Guess thats why its called the marketplace! (Has ATM, lotto, redbox, coinstar, bathrooms, selfcheckout, pharmacy area) (Not a large selection of kitchen ware but has some, has most animal feed for indoor critter, bird seed available as well, but nothing laeger than 10lbs i believe, 15lbs bags can be found at other larger Fredmeyers)
Great place to shop. Produce generally of good quality and price. Variety of Clothing at reasonable prices. Online coupons and other bargains available. Rewards program gets you fuel at discount prices and a quarterly rebate. Use the Fred Meyer MasterCard and get even larger rewards. Weekly Free Friday item if selected online and many other Free items randomly. Overall a great place to shop for Groceries, Drug store items, Clothing, Housewares, Electronics, Hardware, Gardening, Auto Accessories, Toys, Furniture, and many more Departments.
I really enjoy their healthy selection and hope they continue to expand it.
I like their layout and that they have tons of vegan options. The customer service is also great at the register and locating items for you, but their money center is a mess. I’ve paid my rent here twice in cash through PayLease, yet the next couple of times, after waiting forever in a short line, they said they couldn’t find my account. So I went to Walmart instead and they had no problems. But this last experience was the worst as the associate was very unprofessional. She told me that I filled out my form wrong even when I said this is how my apartment told me to do it and how I’ve been doing it at this store. And then I was given more attitude, because she assumed I was paying with debit even though I had my cash laid out on the counter. She actually said “You should’ve told me that.”
Tried leaving with my 3 items. Was told at door I couldnt leave without a receipt. Or worker would take my items. I was forced to dig through a trash just to keep my items. Worker was extremely rude to me and had a total attitude. Ive always loved this store now Im just feeling unimpressed. Other people passed with no items in bags and she said nothing to them just to me.
Not my favorite Fred Meyer, but its the only one nearby that carries the brand of veggie burger I love. And Im definitely not a fan of their interspersing the health food section with everything else. It used to be a quick run-in/run-out if you were a vegetarian/vegan, etc; now it takes forever. Itll take some time to get used to, but now I have more reason to shop at the Chambers Creek Fred Meyer or the one by TCC.ETA: The male staff at the west doors (near the garden supplies) really need to be trained on basic customer service skills. They come across as very aggressive and rude to customers entering and leaving the store, not just with myself but with others as well.
Good food nice staff except for at the pharmacy the pharmacist was very rude and seemed like they didnt know what they were talking about not very professional and tried to scam me out of paying more than full price for medications my insurance covers tried to poket my money good retail store but avoid the pharmacy
Always a great place to shop. Love visiting their plant area. Wont buy shoes there because of price. Way to high. Good selection at the deli counter and vegetables and meat selection is always nice. Always a clean store and employees are usually helpful.
Bring back handles on your brown paper bags. That is some ridiculousness. Other than that Id give you all a 5 star but for now thats some major bull with your bags, if Im paying money for it you better make it convenient for me to use and carry.
Full grocery with good health food section near the produce. Prices are lower than other chains. Sign up for the rewards program and theyll send you cash back and coupons quarterly. You can also get points toward discounts on gas there and at Shell stations. In spring they have a good selection of plants including organic veggies. They also sell shoes, clothes for all ages, electronics, furniture, toys, housewares and jewelry. Lots of parking as well as Click It service.
A really nice Fred Meyer store. Although the FM gas station is a mile away, the store is a good one. Well stocked. Good deli section. This our go to FM to shop.
Great store. It is the up-scale 1 stop shop. There is pretty much everything you could want here, plus Starbucks and Chase bank. Employees are the best.
One of the best places around for quick grocery shopping.really nice atmosphere and huge selection!
Clean covid 19 protection in place
This location is awesome! My girlfriend and I stopped by today on a snow day and couldn’t break away from the excellent selection in almost every department we wandered into. The take away was my girlfriend buying a sad peace lily plant that needed a home!
Walked in to use the cash checking service at around 5 pm and they tell me they dont have any money, then just stared at me like its my problem. You close at 10 pm and your customer service doesnt have the proper til count for what you offer in service?? Will not be returning to this location!
I like the variety of selection of food some things or a great Buy. Employees seemed a little preoccupied one woman was on her phone while I was speaking to her and seem to be ignoring me, another woman in the Bakery seemed annoyed that I asked if they had a free cookie it was for my blood sugar she said no we dont and there was an empty carton there I mentioned perhaps they could open another one it was early in the afternoon she rolled her eyes at me and walked away.the woman in the meat department was very congenial and very considerate she was also very helpful also the gentleman in the produce department was very helpful help me find if the items that I was looking for and explain to me some various other information concerning their produce real helpful gentleman.I believe in great customer service in the situation I had some of both very poor and very excellent customer service. thanks
I really dont understand why this location will have tons of front checkout employees directing me to a free line especially when the lines are 5 people deep. My advice is for the manager to move the directing Danny or helpful Annie to open another register. Also, why close half of your self service registets at night and force the customers to stand in line, wasting time, when 6 self serve lines are closed. I see a lot of waste and front end supervisors doing more talking among themselves or their friends who are shopping.
Im not a big Fred Meyer fan in general so keep that in mind. This store has all the groceries you need, is decently organized, and is a one stop shop. I think their furniture is very low end though. I also feel like its hard to find someone to help you.
Love FM for all the quality items and affordable prices. Customer service is always great BUT whats with all the dogs in the carts? I put food for my family in those carts and dont appreciate the hair and you know what germs left from their sitting in the baskets. I asked an employee at customer service about it as these are clearly not service animals. She said they are not allowed to question anyone with animals in the store for fear of being sued!
I love this store but pharmacy tech today was really unfriendly toward me. No greeting, smile, no mention of the 10 min I waited in line all I needed was some cold medicine (like everyone right now) and I felt guilty for even considering asking her to buy medicine at their pharmacy. Glad it’s not my pharmacy.
Great customer service! With a memorial service earlier, I arrived late catching the tail end of the annual free potting event as they were cleaning up; I was still helped with soil for planting nine baskets of plants I purchased the day before. Great crew and well cared for plants.
I love this store and the employees. Its the only grocery store we shop at. The produce is always fresh and priced right.
The team at the pick up location are great, thank you!
I will NEVER EVER shop anywhere else AGAIN. From Jeremy and his AMAZING staff to Tracy and front of the house. The Four Seasons of shopping and staff. Congrats U GUYS.
Shop here weekly one of 3 grocers i use.... Can pick up hardware, auto things, large well stocked decent selection of reasonably priced food... I neither care for low quality over priced meat dept. or Deli / Prepared foods. Produce, dairy, groceries, natural foods worth trip.
Average selection. Nice staff.Unfortunately, Kroger has not gotten around to updating this Fred Meyer yet. The natural foods, ethnic foods and deli sections are much smaller than other area FMs. Also, the lighting is dim and the front of the store is poorly laid out. However, as said, the staff is good here and you can find all your basics.Looking forward to an update.
Great customer service from Gina and Jennifer! I try to always use the checkout they are at. There are some people working the checkouts that shouldnt be allowed to. The deli is always a little slow but great food. Very kind employees overall. Thank you!
I shop there so often I help other shoppers find things. Love my 19th and Stevens Fred Meyer. But very disappointed to find out they are going to drastically reduce their clothing and home departments. I think a majority of my and my families wardrobes are from there. ;(.
I just want to say thank you so much to Jeremy pem
I was a Kroger shopper in Durham NC, and was glad to know Fred Meyer has the same great store brands. I also like being able to pick up sundries like office supplies, candles, and gardening needs in one stop. However, Ive started alternating my weekly trips with another grocery store that doesnt force me to stand in a long bank line just to get a roll of quarters to do laundry. This hassle makes no sense to me in a store with otherwise good service, but Im sure Fred Meyer corporation can live without half my grocery money.
Most of the cashiers are cool enough. The produce guys and seafood counter are awesome. Reasonable prices, fresh produce, great selection. This store is no longer the closest to us, but its where we do our grocery shopping.
Love this store and 2 others within 8 mile radius. Have everything you need and then some. Nice, not fancy but very reasonable prices!
The staff are friendly lines were fast moving. Fun store. Keep up the great work
Been coming here for over 20yrs. Everything I need and more is here. Since the recent influx of homeless people moving in the area the lost prevention has increased dramatically with police patrols at the entrances. Nice!
I love this store and shop there at least 4 times a week. The workers in the meat department are the most friendly and helpful i always look forward to talking with them. Also they have the cheapest milk BY FAR, just wont buy it anywhere else.
Bakery department makes beautiful custom cakes. Felt confident that they would do great with my wedding cake. They definitely delivered better than I expected!
It seems like most times I go there they have at least 1 item on my list that they are out of. Not to mention they have a shortage of carts. Too many I have to go out in the parking lot to find a shopping cart.
This is a great store and has been part of the neighborhood for many, many years. The food is affordable, there’s a huge variety, including vegan and natural foods. Great beer selection, and the vegetable selection is out of this world.
Manager Trina made it impossible to share positive feedback regarding an employee who provided assistance when system rang up 2/$4 Starbucks bottles as $5.98. Thanks to employee on the floor, absolutely no thanks to store manager who seemed to run from customer in a wheelchair who gave her time and space to talk to 2 other employees as none of my business, but then scoots to the back? Was not sure 🤔 if she thought I was frustrated with an employee or what? As former Fred Meyer employee, I was offended by her actions and inability to say hello, thank you for shopping at Fred Meyers, how was your shopping experience.I need the name and telephone number of the District Manager for Fred Meyer stores included in Pierce County. Such actions or inactions turn a positive situation into a very negative experience. Is that your intention as a going concern. Don’t think l will ever return to that store unless it is for an official apology. Negative experiences are shared to 10 or more people positive experiences typically share with 3-4 others. Word of mouth is a powerful weapon when discussing actions or in actions of local Manager Trina.
I had 3 returns to bring back,I needed help to bring them in the store. The customer service sent a guy out to help.He was great, took my things inside and stayed with me until the customer service completed. The store needs more young men like him.Thank you
I shop here regularly they are so awesome theyre such friendly people at this location and it has easy access to the freeways. I did that test to see which would be less expensive to shop at Walmart or Fred Meyer and according to my calculations Fred Meyer was the cheapest place to shop for food. they always have everything I need.
This is regarding the Tacoma 19th & Stevens St. store...... Theyve literally DESSIMATED their clothing, shoe, and sock sections with their latest remodeling. As a 25-year customer, doubt Ill be shopping there much anymore. Horrible. And who thought only carrying their own line called DIP was a good idea!?!? (DIP??? Who the heck thought THAT was a good name!?!? They should be fired!) No longer a one stop shopping experience, thats for sure! And teach your staff to bag groceries properly!!
This is a great store especially on the grocery side. Has almost everything youd ever need. The organics and bulk section is one of the best in Tacoma. Highly recommend.
Parking can be a little rough some times but overall this is a clean well managed Fred Meyer location. Employees have always been helpful and courteous and their selection household goods and produce have made it an easy one stop shop location.
If u go early enough, its great as far as getting material or checked out at the end. I got a $100 gift card from my daughter for my bday as she knows this is where I go most. It is a fun place to go.
I always love shopping at Fred Meyer. The staff are great, prices are wonderful. 5 stars or 10 stars.
Always the best customer service hands down. And the best rewards system. I mean who gives you money to spend on liquor? Fred Meyer does
Im a lifelong Fred Meyer shopper. This location is pretty good with a lively mix of patrons. Their cashiers are painfully slow and easily distracted and I have to ask them to double bag everything because the bags they use are incredibly flimsy and break. Self checkout at this location if you can!
I recently moved to this end of town. Ive been shopping at Fred myers for years. I shop most times during the day. Other then the time my car window was smashed out, things where fine. After dark things get way worse. I think I will shop elsewhere after dark.
