Great installation, best price out of three bids. We got the door with windows for the price others wanted for a plain door. The team showed up on time and had completed the job in 3 hours. The guys were good natured and did a professional job. My husband is a retired union carpenter and he said the door opening is not square and not plumb. Because of that the job was challenging and he said they did a really good job. Kudos from my husband are earned and he is happy. Highly recommend

We used Independent garage doors a few years ago to replace a neighbor’s door that our friend accidentally drove into so we called him today when our own garage door wasn’t closing. Instead of us having to wait a few days until he could come out to our house, he talked my husband through on how to resolve the issue today since it sounded like a simple fix. After the door was fixed, my husband offered to send him money on Venmo, but he told my husband not to worry about it. John is highly professional and provided the best and prompt service for a very reasonable price. One of our garage doors broke and would not close with the garage door opener. I was worried that we may not find someone to take care of it for a long time as our experience has been no response (majority) to 2-12 weeks for any repair. I was pleasantly surprised when John answered the phone directly and set up an appointment for the same day to check the garage door! He gave a very honest assessment of the repair options and at no time tried to pressure us to choose an expensive option. Because our garage door needed a special strut he set up another appointment for the next day to comeback and finish the repairs. This is the 2nd door IGD (Independent Garage Doors) has installed for me. The 1st time it was a smaller door (7X9) for my shop. No opener. This time it was for my garage, i needed a new door & opener. Each time John came out & presented me with options & reasonable price point. The shop garage door was different than most as I wanted it to go up high along the wall before curving overhead. (Giving me more overhead space by the garage door opening.) This time around it was a simple insulated door & opener install for a two car garage. Each install went the same, everything as promised. He called, texted or emailed me with updates & reminders. He & his crew were organized & cleaned up after themselves. So far Im happy with the install. They explained everything & made suggestions for maintenance& upgrades. The LiftMaster chain opener is quiet enough, compared to older chain drive openers it is very quiet. John & Dan installed my 1st shop garage door. Dan& Ernesto installed the garage door & opener this time around. I watched Dan & Ernesto work together, they make a great team! Six Stars ******Dan and Ernesto did a fantastic above and beyond job installing the garage door and hooking up the existing garage door opener. IGD cleaned up behind themselves hooked up my garage door opener that was not set up. They set up my opener and even trained me how to use it and its functions. During the covid pandemic we had experienced terrible client service with so many contractor and IGD put our faith that some great contractors still exist and they are one of them. John was great, he came when he said he would and there was no pressure to buy. They installed it faster than expected. It was a great purchase.I was not really excited about spending the money, but now that it is installed along with new opener i am glad I pulled the trigger. He showed us all of the options, we chose a door with the windows. So glad we did. It lets in more light than I expected.My only critique is i would have liked a call the day before just to confirm that they would be there.

A friend of mine recommended Independent Garage Doors after they did his garage doors (two of them). I contacted them Monday afternoon and they came out Tuesday morning, offered me a solution to our broken garage door spring and a tuneup for half the cost of another local company. When our second garage door spring breaks we will be using them to repair that one. I highly recommend them!

I contacted Independent Garage Doors when my opener stopped functioning and was very impressed with the service. The service representative, John, arrived on time the next day and was friendly and knowledgeable. He quickly established I needed a new motor unit, which he replaced in about an hour at a reasonable cost. The installation was very neatly done, and he took the time afterward to go through all of the operational features and maintenance of the new unit. All in all this was a very good experience and I give them my highest recommendation.

Tech Called to let me know he was on his way. Upon arrival I showed him what was going on. he explained to me that he could repair the old garage door opener fairly easy. I chose to have it replaced. took about an hour to install.. Tech then went over operation of new opener. tech was very professional. He was very friendly and professional, and was able to come out the next day. He did a service on our garage door and we are very happy with the service. A replacement would have cost me $350 but the technician was able to fix mine by replacing a cog in the drive; it cost a fraction of the price for a new one.
