Cute concept, but not quite what we were expecting. My husband and I came here for a date.I love that they help cats get adopted, but you should be aware they only get new cats every two weeks. If youre hoping to get playtime with new kitties, definitely call in advance to be sure they have them there for you.A few other things to note:Pros:-Cute location-On-site parking-Cute resident cats. The two there were friendly and chill, and definitely seemed well cared-for and happy.Cons:-Coffee machine was out of service when we came (temporary problem, Im sure, but something to be aware of). We were still charged full price for our reservation.-Very strong cat odor in the cafe. Maybe I shouldnt have been surprised because obviously cats live there, lol, but its something to be aware of if youre sensitive to that kind of thing.-Tea wasnt brewed well. I ordered the chill cat tea and the lavender was too intense (and I like lavender tea!).Maybe our expectations were too high, or maybe we just werent the target audience, but it wasnt what we were hoping it would be for $30. Oh well.

I am absolutely OBSESSED with this! I had so much fun and I didnt want to leave! The customer service was great and there wasnt too many people together at once, which was pawsome! This was a great experience. Ive always wanted cats but my dog would attack them, going here really filled my heart with joy!

Cats are great. Coffee is great. Cats and coffee is super great. I was part of the first group there this morning and we had 8 excited energetic and friendly cats all over us for the whole hour. It was awesome. I think next time Ill go later in the day, see if I can get some cats to take a nap in my lap. 10/10 will do again.

This place is so cute. Reservations is a must. You get to play and pet the kittens and cats while there. There is a cute little store in the establishment. They sell alcoholic drinks as well, regular drinks and snacks. They also sell tshirts, socks etc. Very cute place. Kid and adult friendly. A great rainy day activity if you just need something to do. Some of the cats can be adopted to. Cute quaint place. Prices are reasonable. We spent like 35$ bucks for two people and our reservation came with two non alcoholic drinks. If you are not a fan of cats this is not the place for you.

We visited the other day as my 8 year old daughters belated birthday present. There were only 3 cats but that was because they JUST re-opened post COVID. Staff was very friendly and helpful, cafe was very clean, restroom was spacious and clean with an adorable cat mirror. Our drink order was taken immediately as we walked in. We were told to go on in to the cat room and our drinks were brought to us shortly thereafter. New employee, Brittany, was super friendly and fun to chat with. We had a great experience. Im glad we went to Tacoma for this. I havent been to a similar place in Seattle but afterwards we were glad we had a full hour visit and parking couldnt be simpler! We hope to come back in March when were told they will have 6 more cats!

Such a fun and relaxing experience! We loved spending time with all the kitties. Such a great concept to meet adoptable cats and kittens. You get a free drink with your reservation to spend time with the cats, and I recommend booking online.

I loved the option to reserve ahead online. My son and our friend had a fabulous time visiting the kitties. They were friendly and playful. North sat next to me and got lots of pets. Fantas fur feels like silk. A little kitten finally got tuckered out and crawled my lap for a snooze. My son loved his lemonade and my friend enjoyed her coffee. We also were excited to get cat ears and a shirt.

Catffeinated is a great place for you to unwind only if you love caffeine and cats. I already visited one of the cat cafes in Seattle when I used to live in Burien. With my recent move to further south, I decided to look around for another cat cafe, and I have found this cute cat cafe.The coffee barista is very friendly and professional. She explained the concept and what to expect during our visit, especially when we had our toddler with us. The least minimum age this cafe allows children to be in the cat lounge is 8 years old. There are Kids Days, which are events that allow children of all ages to visit as long as they are under parental supervision. Kids Days take place 2X per month on Sundays. Youd need to follow FB or IG for more details.Id definitely come back! Fanta, the resident ginger kitty, is the coolest and calmest cat ever!

Third time coming here. A really nice place to spend an hour with some lovely cats all except one are up for adoption to their forever homes. Come hang out with the cats and if you fall in love with one then why not take it home. Great place for coffee too and really nice staff. The manager might be working a little too hard since she is always there. Dont forget to tip :)

The cats are all lovely and well taken care of. Residents Fanta and North are total sweethearts. The cats and mats yoga sessions are very relaxing and beginner-friendly (no pressure to do poses perfectly, just enjoy your time there with the cats!). Also the strawberry lemonade is very good.

This is a great place to catch some snuggles on your lunch break! Schedule in advance online, and the experience will be punctual purrfection!I adopted Sprite! Prices are fair, and include a healthy pet with UTD shots, and all animals come spayed/neutered.Coffee was tasty!

My daughter enjoyed the cats, but the booking online made it sound like we would be the only ones in there for our time slot. Instead there were three other people in there and one of them was a child who kept grabbing and picking up the cats even after being told not to. My coffee was ok (nothing spectacular) and my daughters watermelon Italian soda was flavorless. Between the meh drinks and the cats being monopolized by the other people in the room, it was definitely not worth the $15. I am just glad the other things were had planned for her birthday werent disappointments like this was. The only reason I gave two stars instead of one is because the guy working there was nice enough top make my daughter a second Italian soda after the first one was so terrible (even if the second one was worse and she didnt end up drinking it).

Catffeinated is one of my favorite places in all of Tacoma! If you love cats/kittens and havent visited, you definitely need to check it out. Visits are $10 for an hour, and you can schedule that online. The cats are adoptable (from the shelter), and so many have found new homes after being at Catffeinated, which is so great. It also means that new cats/kittens come in regularly, so there are always new faces My only advice is that visiting during a busy time (when lots of other people are there) vs a slow time (like when it might be you, or you and maybe one other person), can be really different experiences. Either way, an awesome place to spend an hour of your time.

This is such a cute and amazing concept!! They help adopt cats from the humane society while giving you the experience to meet the cats/kittens, play with them, and sip on some delish coffee!! Love them and it’s so fun :) you’ll have to check it out!!

Delicious tea, cute environment, and they partnered with a local shelter so several of the cats are adoptable. Heck, the adoption fees are very affordable too. Neat place! Check it out!

Im allergic to cats and I wasnt affected at all by the dander or hair. Theres a breezeway to get in to the cat room and that prevents most of the allergens to get in the the eating area.Id recommend to anyone, allergic or not.

My friend and I came in for the first time late & exhausted after a long ride back from Seattle at the end of the work day. It was wonderful to pet the kitty/cats, sip on a drink and relax. It was the end of her day, too. We appreciate her kindness and the cats kindness sweet playfulness. Good coffee, salad & sandwich, too. Well be back again!

Lovely place, clean modern interior, delicious coffee. Most importantly, they put the cats first and make sure theyre happy and comfortable. You can pay to play with them in a designated space, or just drop in for coffee and watch them through a glass wall.

While I love the concept- my experiance was just okay. We booked ahead of time for an hour but only spent about 25 minutes before deciding to leave just because there was not that much to do for an hour. The cats were all asleep because it was around 3PM and they had been played with all day. Also we went at the end of the week so all cats had been adopted by then. They do have an option to only buy 30 minutes of time if you walk in but that is not advertised anywhere. I love cats and I love that this is an option to pet cats but to be honest I would have gotten more for my time if I got a coffee and brought it to the local shelter to pet their cats.

I was very excited to go to my 1st ever cat Cafe! I loved the experience 95%. The atmosphere feels almost ....overly clinical though. I truly understand that there has to be rules & supervision but I started to feel like I was being watched the entire time by staff and it was making me kind of anxious. It’s really hard to zone out and have fun playing with cute kitties when you can feel eyes on you.I do also wish the site was a bit more clear on how the situation goes. If I had known that I’d be essentially in an enclosure with strangers for an hour, I’m not sure I would have signed up. Maybe some chill background music could help ease the awkwardness of the situation, though?The good points are amazing coffee, friendly staff, clean and cute interior, and adorable cats that are definitely well cared for and loved.This place is brand new but I can see it becoming something awesome!
