HKS has everything you need for making Asian cuisine. The in-store deli also has Peking Duck, cooked whole fish, and to-go meals. Only gave 4-stars as the housewares section was sparse, sporadically priced, and some of the dishes covered with dust/dirt.

Very authentic... It is NOT clean... At all 😒 but authentic and alot of sea food .....fresh from the sea!!!!

Stay far away from this place. Very unique and wide range of products, so I was really let down when I experienced by far the nastiest business I have ever set foot in. Baked goods covered in mold, meat dishes sitting out on an open table, rotted produce covered in flies, and a huge RAT running between displays. Sadly had to put away a few things I was really looking forward to trying, because I could not trust anything in there.

Love this place! my absolutel favorite Asian grocery store in Tacoma. They seem to always have the best prices. And their deli section is delicious (has the best banh mis). Workers have always been nice to me. The aisles are a bit narrow, so it can be a little cumbersome to maneuver through the store, but its not a big deal.

Location Location Location! I found what I was looking for 😁 3 in 1 Instant Coffee! Cheaper than Walmart and closer than Safeway.

Love this spot. Got some amazing dungeness crabs for the weekend at a good price! Met the owner and he was very nice.

Had ran low on gas. Card got demagnetized. Some of the folks there showed us some love to get is back on the road. Big thank you to the folks on that area!

We just did an exploratory visit. The fish and meat markets have quite the offerings. The other areas could use a bit of tidying. But hey, it is canned goods. Prices seemed good meat wise. Live lobster at $20/lb was too rich for my tastes.

Cool place with some great food and tons of options for ingredients and snacks, if you go here for the right things you will not be disappointed.

I find a variety of products at a very good price compared to Latin markets

This is an updated Asian supermarket. It is clean and well stocked. They have a butcher and fish market, deli, produce section (that carries fresh herbs and vegetables). They also carry all the Asian dry goods...noodles, spices and sauces. You can find ingredients for spring rolls, pho, sushi...even Mexican food.

The meat/fish and veggie sections are what bring me here. Prices on things like flank and oxtails have gone up in Asian stores generally, but at least I can find certain cuts here.You will find the basic Asian ingredients you need, decent Asian veggies, a small deli. H Mart on South Tacoma Way and East Asia nearby have a little more variety. Also - the Hong Kong Mart in Browns Point is bigger with a parking lot.Parking is horrendous here. Horrendous. The area suffered one of Tacomas revisions in parking and I cant say it helped much. Our tax dollars not at work.

Went here with my husband to pick and at the smell is awful. Think of rodent revés and spoiling produce/fish. Anyways we went in anyways in the last aisle I was greeted with a rat the size of a cat as it runs from under neath the grocery’s to a freezer. I literally can’t imagine why a place like this is still open.

Love there fresh Taro bubble tea. The wait is a bit long though.

Neat, clean and nice. Selection of goods, both Asian and otherwise, is more than youd expect from a store of this size. Employees are very friendly and helpful. Bahn Mi sandwiches are very good & fairly priced. Parking is treacherous, park a half block away on a surface street and walk over, it will save you a fender-bender.

Its the best Asian supermarket in Tacoma. Great selection, fresh seafood, roast pig, banh mi or Vietnamese sandwich, and lots of variety. Customer service could use a smile once awhile, but Im there to shop...not make friend. The price on most items is cheaper than others Asian markets, but parking is pack on the weekend and some afternoon. One thing to remember, dont park the wrong way in the angle parking lot. You will get a parking ticket by the city. Its crazy, but I just saw it today. Other than that, check it out.

This place is great. Its a fairly new store. Its quite large. They have pretty much everything you could want from fresh meat, seafood, fresh vegetables and tons of Asian sauces, dry and canned goods. The prices are very reasonable. Most of their customers are Asian which means they too know where to go.

They have many cool things you cant get at the normal grocery store but see on cooking shows. Tons of fresh fish, duck and quail eggs, live lobster and crab and many more things. We will be returning very soon.

The experience was lackluster, the place was extremely dirty. The cashier guy tried to hide the fish I paid for under the counter, when I asked for it he pretended to not know till the customer waiting behind me pointed it out. I wouldnt recommend.

Good place to get Southeast Asian food. Its hard to find parking sometime.

NOT CLEAN.I just recently visited this store, when you first go in the doors there’s literally vegetable rubbish everywhere. Paper towels that have been on the floor for a long time due to refrigerator leaks. This place use to be so neat and clean before but I don’t know what’s going on now. While I was checking out, one person was packing bread from a paper bag to individual bags WITHOUT GLOVES, and at the till out of all places.I was so disgusted by it.

Very dirty... I am so disappointed.

Ive actually never been to this place but my husband made a stop here to grab some Banh Mi, BBQ pork, and roast duck. I wanted to get the ham Banh Mi, but he ordered the BBQ pork Banh Mi instead. I wasnt disappointed though. It was really delicious! I love the huge chunks of the BBQ pork and the roast duck was amazing. I wish this place was closer to us, but well be back for more!

Ask for a large lobsters and had to tell him to stop digging for the bottom lobsters which were closed to dead if not already. Then I ask for 3 small lobsters but he slipped in a dead one in, which I tore the bag and asked him for a different one and he just grabbed a new lobsters but secretly put the one I had removed back into my bag. Then he mumble Vietnamese trash talk to me( I am Vietnamese so I know what he said).

The Chinese barbecue has continuously gotten better over this last year, but still could use a little work. They do need to put systems in place to help employees keep up when its busy. But I could see their progressing in other areas. I will hold on to the 5th star for now.

Parking is terrible. When it first open it was clean and organized. Not so much now.

It has a certain demographic: old Vietnamese people, but its charming and nostalgic for me as a first gen Viet-American. They have a food court with traditional Viet dishes and different ingredients I cant find in most Asian markets, especially if youre a Viet mom making a dish for your family.

A plentiful diverse selection of Asian groceries foods and cuisines. A great selection of beers and spirits as well

This is one of my wifes two favorite markets in the area because she can find almost anything she needs to make her favorite dishes from Vietnam.The isles are narrow, parking in the lot can be troublesome, and they dont believe in turning on the heater. But, despite all that, we still come here because if we need it, chances are we can find it here.

Got some roast duck and roast pork,Duck was delicious but the roasted pork was so fatty and salty, disappointed and the cashier was profiling me by asking another person to follow me around,I guess when you are not dressed that is what they do.Thieves do not spend $78.00.Disgusted with the place and they were using dirty rags to wipe the counter .

Great place to get fresh seafood

Easy to find everything I needed and check out was fast. Gotta love getting in & out of store with no problems.

They have a wide variety of daily fresh vegetables to choose from and meats are daily fresh as well because of the high demands of customers that come in and buy alot! So it always a guarantee and most of all their amazing hot deli food and fun drinks!

Found spices and ingredients that I normally have shipped to me from home. Excellent selections of seafood for a reasonable price. I highly would recommend this place to others. The only thing is parking is hard to find.

Great variety & choices to choose from. Has pretty much all the asian spices and vegetables you need to make anything related to asian cuisine even seafood & meat selection. Pretty big place but tends to get crowded with small aisles.

An amazing offering of seafood and meats plus all the ingredients you can imagine. All displayed neatly, cleanly and found along long wide aisles. Very impressed!

This is a huge oriental store and they sell almost everything.

A bit dingy and very crowded. They had what I needed but Im not sure I would go back unless I really had to.

Great selection good fresh seafood but dont trust their frozen meat products. Many of them are expired and or freezer burnt.

Sandwiches, pre made dinners, spice, rice and all thing nice. Whole roasted chickens.

I come here once a week . Its pretty, have all things that you need, just watch out for the expire date

What a place..they have everything..I mean everything..fresh fish,nice meat Dept.. Asian and some American..deli with killer Vietnamese sandwiches..you can buy a whole fish and pay $1.00 more and the deli will prepare and cook it... again.. check out the meat department..you will find things youve never thought of.. picture is roast pork sandwich $4.50..chopped roast pork $10.00#..purchased 1/2#..OMG!!!!

My go to place for roast pork and duck!!! Many items I can find in Hawaii I can get here. Fresh seafood, produce and meat!!!

The variety of specialty cuts of meat, bone and innards in this place is incredible. The fresh and frozen seafood selection is unmatched anywhere. The fresh roast duck and fresh roasted pork I bought today are so moist and flavorful I can’t even describe them except to say that they are perfection. The prices at a Hong Kong Supermarket are really reasonable, a whole roast duck for $20? Wow. Delicious, moist roast pork with shatteringly crisp skin $11 a pound, hell ya. I bought way to much and can’t wait to go back, gunna hit up those fresh seafood tanks next time.

Tight space. Great prices, good product selection & wines/saki. Parking is limited but during this COVID-19 outbreak I have not had a hard time finding parking nearby.

Closest place to our home in Kitsap that has all the Vietnamese produce groceries we need. Dont expect this place to be a Fred Meyer or Albertsons.

Regardless of what Yelp might claim, Hong Kong Market has the best sandwiches in Tacoma...the #1 is incredible!!! They do a great job with the Asian roasted duck also.
