Called Perrone to have a potential leak checked behind the bathroom wall; Mark was very professional and thorough in checking it out for me. He even checked a couple of other things Id noticed around the house, and answered a few questions I had.It ended up not being a plumbing issue so no repair was involved

We had Potter come to our home to check our A/C unit because it was not working properly. They discovered a freon leak, so they did add 2 gallons? $500 later, they said, we needed to replace the unit, but they would credit the $500. toward the final bill. They NEVER called with the estimate. We called and requested it again- and were told they lost our paperwork but they would get it right over to us. Again- NEVER received it. Ended up going with another company.

We needed to have Merv 13 filters installed in our AC unit for our boutique fitness studio. From the first phone call we had to all the follow up and to everyone I spoke to in the company - everyone was so professional, positive and kind! One of the best experiences I have ever had with service to our studio! Highly recommend!!

Install new Main Line ValveSimple huh?, not as expected. Matt, the plumber was awesome, but the city employees could have been better. The most difficult part of this were the incompetent city employees who were extremely late, and had no clue where the valve-curve box for my home is located.UPDATE: January, 2021I had 2 indoor hose bibbs to replace, Potter showed up on time to estimate which parts will be needed. They replaced both bibbs with brass 1/4 turn (ball) hose bibbs, and the cost was very reasonable.

Called service number at 8:00 p.m. for a plumbing emergency and was told on call person would call me back-never received a call back!

Experience was very good. I was called ahead of time to let me know when to expect their arrival. Employee wore booties when in the house to protect our hardwoods. He was polite, professional, and informative throughout the process. This was work on a vintage toilet, and although parts had to be special ordered(which we expected), we were kept informed from the ordering, receipt, and the rescheduled visit. They arrived again and very efficiently completed the repair. This is the second time Ive used this company and I plan on utilizing them for years to come.

I came home to a 50 degree home on 32 degree day. Our boiler would not kick on. I called Potter Heating & Air. Within an hour Ryan was at our house. He got boiler running and informed me that we should do a little preventative maintenance on the unit. Quick, friendly, and informative technician. Just what we could hope for in a time of need.

No heat after a snow storm is never convenient, our inducer motor on furnace died during the night and we woke up to a cold house! I called first thing in the morning when their office opened at 7 am, they got someone out to the house to look at it by 9 am and it was fixed by 10! Even with the tech having to go out to get the replacement part. Id call that excellent service. The price we very reasonable, I would not hesitate to call them again if needed or refer them to someone else. Great job!

I contacted Potter Heating to schedule a boiler cleaning and possible part replacement service call and was pleasantly surprised to be offered an appointment in only 2 days. I decided to schedule the appointment for the next week due to my schedule but other companies were 2 or 3 weeks out.The day of the appointment the technician had an emergency call before our appointment so he was delayed by about 45 minutes. I did have to call to find out where he was but was provided an explanation and estimate on when he should arrive which was accurate.Chris, the technician, was very helpful throughout the cleaning and inspection. He answered all of my many questions on our new to us home heating system and ensured I knew how to monitor it in the future. The burners were cleaned and he addressed my few points of possible concern. No pushy sales or service plans just a great experience. Thank you Potter Heating and Chris.

Earl was very helpful and efficient! I had been waiting for over two hours from a call through a different company and decided to try something else.. Our house was down to 52 degrees. He was very understanding and made it a priority to immediately go to my house to see what the problem was with my furnace. He fixed it in a timely manner and the heat is running properly now!

Years ago I needed a whole new duct system installed in my office. I called Potter Heating and Air because of their great reputation in the area. Ever since they have come every year to check on the system and make sure it is running properly. I am very happy we went with Potter for our big project.

I had another company come check my air conditioner before the summer and they did not solve the issue. So instead of dealing with them again I went to Potter Heating and Air Conditioning. I asked the repairman to check what the other company had said they fixed and he was able to tell me what the issue was and the solution. He was able to fix the problem quickly with not much work. It was wonderful. I would work with them again because of the honesty and hard work they put into my unit.

My complaint is with their price, their communication and their general customer service.They will charge you $120 minimum, which they did not warn me about (I figured it would be $60-80, like most other places Ive dealt with). When I asked them to call me as I wanted to talk to them about this lack of communication and see about possibly getting a partial refund or credit, I got no reply. Maybe its my own damn fault, but I think they could have at least given me the courtesy of a call to tell me that.I Found another local company that came out within an hour and was upfront with their costs (which was about 25%-30% cheaper). Better bang for your buck elsewhere... nevermind that ignoring an upset customers is just rude.

They were very prompt in coming once I made the call. Evan was very polite and explained things well. Explained what to say to OCWA in regards to what I had to do to get the main water off. Once that was done it went very smoothly.

It was a pleasure meeting the technicians and doing business with them. The installation crew, James, Jimmy and Jason were great guys. They did a wonderful job. They were very neat and hard working as well as answering all of our questions.

We have used Potter Heating for many years at our own home and at all the rental properties we managed. Their prices were always fair and their service was consistently exceptional. I would advise all homeowners to look no further than Potter-Perrone for their plumbing and heating needs.

I was charged $122 for a 10 minute visit, in which no work was performed. I called for assistance with 2 leaky faucets. The tech took one look at them and told me that both needed to be replaced, repair was not an option without part #s. Thats fine but I did not expect to be charged for a whole hour plus a service fee for this information. I would have at least liked to have been informed of a this minimum fee ahead of time. I suppose it is my fault for not asking. Disappointed.

These people screwed me over. Do not hire!! Their tech left a bleed valve open on a radiator. It leaked for four days while I was out of town. I came back to find paint sloughing off the walls of the room under the leak, original 1918 woodwork warped, ceiling and walls wet and full of mold. I called the guy back from potter and he saw what had happened and said, did I leave that valve open? Im so sorry. We had a talk about how I hoped he wouldnt lose his job. My contactor and insurance adjuster agreed that the damage was $9500. My insurance covered all buy deductible, thanks travelers! But Im left 1k out of pocket. My insurance asked theirs to compensate and Potter said no, that we have no evidence it was their fault and that my conversation with the guy was only hearsay. They know what happened and they are in the wrong. All I can do is warn others about them and that a company having insurance doesnt mean they will use it fairly. I cant believe business owners could be so unethical. I still hope the worker did not lose his job.

Joel was very informative and professional. I received two other estimates that were lower, but Joel took his time putting the quote together in an organized manner. I chose Potter Heating and Air because of the professional manner that the quote was put together.

I was told by another company that my furnace was rusted and unable to be repaired. I didnt believe them 100% so I received a second opinion from Potter Heating and Air. You told me it was only a loose wire and and easy fix to get it up and running. Your technicians were honest and up front with me showing me everything that was wrong and how they were going to fix it! I will only use Potter from here on out for my heating and air conditioning repairs.

Technician crossed the wires on my furnace while I watched and fried the electric for the gas valve. Then he said he couldn’t find the parts for it anywhere but charged me for his service? I was forced into buying a new furnace. Wrote an email to owner and they never followed up. Not a good recommendation.

I returned home from work on a Friday night to find my furnace broken down, of course after having had a sizable snowstorm the night before and very frigid temperatures outside. I called Potter Perrone and the on-call technician, Kevin, called me back very promptly and was at my house probably within an hour. He identified the problem as a seized inducer motor. Being late on a Friday night, none of the parts suppliers were open to provide the new motor, although he did make several calls to attempt to locate a part that evening. He assured me that the part would be available in the morning and that he would be back after picking up it up. Saturday morning after picking up the part, my furnace was back up and running again with 15 minutes of arrival. I am very pleased with my overall experience. The technician was polite and got the job done in a very timely manner and at a reasonable rate, especially for an after hours call.

The owner Suzanne DeFuria is meticulous about keeping her trucks and equipment in good condition and up to date. Her staff has always been clean, efficient, and timely for me. I give them the highest recommendation for their service.

I recently had work done by Potter Heating &air conditioning - Perrone Plumbing. My sink was cloged and i could not get it uncloged it myself. They came the next day after i had called. The plumber was efficient, courteous and fast. He did a great job. I have had several jobs done by this company from electrical to heating and plumbing and have never been disappointed,

I have had this company come twice to fix my heater. The first was to clean and service my heater unit and make sure it was safe to run for the season. This happened mid September 2011. The second time was because the heat had never started working. In late October 2011 the service man came out again to fix the problem fixed a broken thermocoupler, (which was just replaced the year before) and left. Now in Dec 2011, the heat has stopped working again. The company charges at least an hour to come look at the problem, and seeing as it has just passed 30 days, again I must pay for the repairs again. When I called and asked about work warranty they said they only warranty 30 days and it must be another problem. They have looked at this furnace twice and have not found the problem that makes the heat repeatedly stop working. The person who takes the calls was extremely rude and hung up on me. They do terrible work and do not have any guarantee that their work will last for a season of heat, only for 31 days.

I have a very old house and my old furnace gave out this winter at the worst possible time. I was fortunate enough to call Potter Heating and Air and have them come to help fix it. As soon as your technician touched it the blower started to work again. I was very satisfied with the recommendations that he made as well.

At first everything seemed good--in late fall 2017 Potter replaced the heat exchanger which was still under warranty. Now a few months later the furnace wont come on and the temperature in the house is falling rapidly. Its Saturday, its snowing and its not just that Potter wants $200.00 to make a call, Potter also says they doubt they can fix it with whats on the truck. The serviceman seems unknowledgeable and poorly prepared. Also indifferent. Potter seems to think a furnace should only stop working M-F between 9 and 5.

The employee that came to fix my hose did a great job. He even spent some time trying to close the window in my basement that I couldnt get shut. He went out of his way to help me and I wish I could remember his name!

When I called to talk to a manager he stated you must be be one of those Hillary Clinton types who dont want to pay for anything.I would NEVER refer Potter/Perrone and urge you to share this so others dont have the same experience.

We had some duct work done and our system has been running better than ever. This winter has been a cold one and it is nice to know our system is in good shape.

Changed over 250 and did nothing said the system was old. Claims the high rate was after hours even tho we had an appointment at 5 and they were running 3 hours late. These scam artists shouldn’t be in business!

Talked to Mark. I had an active water leak in an apartment which I was told I needed a plumber to fix. Mark told me all the reasons he didnt want to come do the job including telling me he would charge $200 just to show up per hour. Clearly didnt want to work on a Saturday morning and was a jerk on the phone. I manage quite a few properties in Syracuse and will never call this company again.

My furnace blower needed a new belt so Mark came to do the job. While he was here, I learned some useful technical information, but even more, I was very impressed with the fact that he took such professional pride and personal satisfaction in doing his job very well. This seems to be a universal trait among the several service technicians who have come here from Potter Perrone over the years.

I had an issue with the HVAC unit when the heating was sweltering hot, and the fan to blow the air was not working. Gave Potter-Perrone a call and they scheduled their service that day. I was very satisfied.

Ive used Potter-Perrone so many times that Ive lost track. Over the years, they have consolidated and replaced my furnaces, replaced a water heater, and saved me with major water leaks. I could go on and on. I have been a longtime happy customer.

When my hot water tank was leaking all over the cellar, they responded in a friendly, courteous manner and came to thehouse in an hour. they replaced the tank, took out the old one and completed the work in a few hours at a reasonable price. cant ask for anything more.
