Phenomenal customer service. My family is going on a hiking trip this weekend so we were in the store buying hundreds of dollars of equipment. The service we received was nothing short of amazing. I wish I could call all 3 of them out by name but unfortunately I did not get their names. So to the 3 of you that were working on the night of Sept 1st, thank you so much and you guys are truly amazing. I wish everyone working in customer service had your values. Ill definitely be back especially if I get my first responder or nurse discount I got from Tempe. 😉P.S. we love our hiking boots!

Bought some new balance shoes from your store which I loved at first. Three months later I got my first hole in the toe. It’s been 6 months since I bought them and now they have 3 holes. This is unacceptable. I only use them for walking.

Went to find a blow up kiddie pool. Went all around and through the store 3 times before finding someone to help me. Finally found what I was after! Checkout was quick!

In store shopping is available and masks are required. Even with the pandemic, the associates are very helpful. I was greeted at the door, and by the time I made it to the back of the store, 3 different associates asked if they could help me, and not in an overbearing, prying way. The third associate helped me determine which item would suit me for my purpose, and provided product information. They do honor Military with a 10% discount off the total purchase. However, they had another promotion that I received via email giving me 15% off my purchase, both discounts could not be applied.

I just want to thank Randy and the staff at this Big 5 for going above and beyond when dealing with the ammunition sales. Every Wednesday and Thursday morning they are very informative about what they have available. Excellent customer service.

It was the worst customer service or lack thereof that Ive ever received in any store. I received no help from the clerk that I asked about a product. Then in another part of the store the clerk was playing with a yoyo and actually moved away from where I was looking at another item.The main cashier (manager?) couldnt be bothered to show another customer where the cargo shorts that were on sale (there were no other customers in the store at the time).

Poor service, Toni seemed more concerned with talking with other employees and not helping. Only one girl was actually working the others seemed to be avoiding customers at all cost. The person working the shoe area was unable to find another shoe that was not a returned and offered 10% off, which was fine, then at the register Toni doesn’t agree. Which made it awkward. I never asked for a discount just another shoe in same size and when one wasn’t found it was offered.

They saved me tonight. Leaving on vacation tomorrow and while packing realized my running shoes were trashed. They found my size quickly and had them waiting for me. Great friendly customer service.

There was only 1 person working when I went in and needed help, so it was hard to get help finding what I was looking for. Otherwise the inventory was good.

Ya mouth guards parents sports are a givin. And teeth oh are so important to protect!! Please remind em to floss. This store is organized priced friendly and i ve always been treated good there. The kids could get a gift card for doing something extra maybe. And they would like that. So get your big five on parents!

Big 5 is usually my go to sporting good store as it usually have a variety of items that Im looking for where no other sporting goods stores has. Their shoe selection is good and offers the best discounts, and they seem to really be appreciative of their customers. The one downside is it is pretty cramped in the store and I have yet to find a store that has a big enough footprint to be feel comfortable in. With that being said it is toy store for me

I was able to take back an item with my ID and receipt.

Based on today’s experience it should be 0 stars. I brought in a pickleball paddle that’s been in use about five or six weeks. It broke right at the base of the paddle/tip of handle. I didn’t even get the full explanation out and the guy at the counter start in with “oh yeah the Recruit 3.0’s are a cheap paddle and are made for intro level. They don’t have a long life expectancy.” I finally got to explain my whole scenario and was told there was nothing he/they could do. He would not consider credit towards an upgrade. Suggested I contact Onix to see what they might do.

This store specializes in Sporting goods, clothing, bikes, shoes, hand guns riffles . out doors tents, sleeping bags clothing camping equipmentand all affiliated equipment and lots of times their flyer shows specialsthat are unbeatable .. like I got a queen size bed that you plug in and it has a air pump built into it turn it on and it inflates to any comfort levelthat you prefer. was almost 1/2 the cost of Walmart unit. pricing is goodand service people are very knowledgeable and friendly..

Only place I could find a decent pair of high tops basketball shoes. Customer service sucked though, Maria disappeared into the back room looking for my size and returned 15 mins. later eating a sandwich and said she forgot? I apologized for bothering her and went back the next day and purchased what I wanted with the help of someone else.

Very nice polite courteous staff when in to get some weight lifting gloves they did not have my size. Lady suggested they could easily order me some in appreciate the good customer service store was very clean and neat

Love Big 5, the only small sporting goods store left. Great deals and staff! Even though its a small store they have more than you would think. All the normal sports stuff plus airsoft/BB guns, fishing, pickleball(if you dont know what that is check it out), skating, camping, knives, yard games, winter wear....etc.
