Great job on removing 6 trees. I can barely tell they were there in the first place. Did a great job on clean up also. Prices are reasonable. In the picture there used to be a 35 ft pine tree.

OUTSTANDING COMPANY!!! State Tree Services removed four pine trees and stumps and pruned a live oak tree. All cutting and removal was completed in one day, debris pick up happened on another day. They were on time, only stopped of a 30 or less lunch break. All of the gentlemen that was property was polite and respectful. After they completed the job you can not tell there was ever a tree there, except for a couple of roots slightly above the ground. This company delivered on everything they said in their walk-thru. I will use this company again and recommend to people I know.

Far too expensive for bush hog service. I was able to find the same service for $300 that State Tree wanted $2000 to do.

I should preface this review to say that I have used State Tree in the past, and have been happy with their work, but my recent experience has really upset me. I hired State Tree to remove some overgrown privet in my yard, as well as trim up several live oak trees. An estimator came out within 48 hours of my request and was very nice and accommodating. Within a week State was on site to do the work. A crew of four guys spent an afternoon performing the work. All of the crew were very nice and polite. It was once the work was finished that problems arose.I walked outside to my driveway to hand over a check. I was in shock. My driveway was covered in oil and machine grease. Their dozer track had leaked the whole time they were using it, but they did not cease their work. I promptly began putting a degreaser on every single streak and spot while the crew packed up their trucks. The foreman came over to me and expressed surprise at the amount of grease but seemed unconcerned. So, I too thought that the degreaser and a good rain would remove the grease. That has not been the case. I have already spent a whole day pressure washing and scrubbing the stains, and although 50 percent better, the stains are still there and more pronounced in some areas vs. others.I then noticed that I had a new driveway in my side yard from where they had run their dozer track back and forth through my yard leaving machine oil all over the grass as well. Let me be clear - these tracks are not the normal ruts that you would expect from using a bucket truck – I expect those. In this case, they used the dozer to haul all the debris back and forth to the street over and over, thus creating a new “vehicle track” in my side yard. This section of my yard is severely compacted and will require aerating, top soil and sod or seed to repair.I then see the damage to two of the oak trees in the yard…and this is what really upsets me the most. The crew, while using the dozer, ran so close to one oak that the grapple bucket sliced through the tree in several places - this was a tree that was not even being trimmed – it was just in their path. The second oak tree has two large wounds. As a result, the bark layer was removed and the cork cambium layer is exposed. In addition, several days later, two large Nellie Stevens holly shrubs in my flower bed had several dying branches. They had run the dozer into my flower bed to access a small tree they were removing! A sprinkler head in the flower bed had to be replaced as well since it was crushed in the process. As for the oak trees – I contacted our county extension agent and showed him photos of the damage and asked for his opinion. He was very surprised when I told him that a crew from State tree did the work.We called State to talk to management about our concerns, and the receptionist turned us over to the crew who did the damage in the first place! I did not want to talk to them about this – why would I want the same people, however polite and nice they were, to address the problems they have created?I quickly realized that no amount of refund will fix the damage to my beautiful oak trees. I have been advised by the county extension agent to take photos of the tree canopy and the damaged areas so that I can monitor their health and watch for browning of the canopy or oozing from the wounds on the tree.I decided to write this review to warn you as a homeowner. If you hire them, do not pay them immediately. Live with the work they did in your yard for a few days – take your time to check for damage to your trees, shrubs and lawn.I spend hours each week working in my yard trying to make it beautiful. I truly feel as though I paid for State Tree to come in and give me more money draining projects to repair.

The crew arrived on time and ready to work. They did a fantastic job of felling or trimming almost a dozen trees on my property, and were very careful not to cause unnecessary damage. As each tree was dropped, they immediately cleaned and raked the area, even blowing off the walkways to remove wood chips created by the stump grinding. The trunks and limbs were piled at the street for removal by another crew, and a walk around of our yard revealed no damage aside from the expected tire tracks from the boom truck and tractor (which we expected). I would highly recommend State Tree and plan on using them in the future for any tree removal work.

My neighbor had several trees removed near our property line, which produced a lot of debris in my driveway and property. State Tree did a great job at cleaning my driveway and property without even being asked. Professional company I would definitely use for tree removal/trimming. The kids loved watching the gentlemen remove the trees, especially when one guy climbed to the top of a 70’ pine and cut the top off, which caused the tree to sway violently. He held on like a cowboy on a bucking bull.

They were great. They came to give us a quote on the same day we called and removed the tree we needed down a week later. They are very reasonable in price and included a second smaller tree for free.

I cannot over state how awesome their crew was. From walking through the estimate, to the outstanding service, this is the best company I’ve had the pleasure of working with. After cleaning up -all of the branches from the trees they trimmed and cut down, they even picked up all of the debris I had in piles in my yard after Florence because they are just that helpful. I will definitely be calling them for the next round of trimmings, without a doubt. Highly, highly recommended!

We have used State Tree Service for some years. Sometimes it has been after a nasty storm when everyone is looking for help with trees, other times it has been when we needed heavy pruning work up high, or stumps ground down, etc. These guys always show up with a team, and they are all about getting the work done. They do high work with telescoping bucket trucks, low work with chippers and grinders, and everything in between with chain saws and small bucket tractors. They bring what they need for the job you asked them to do. They do excellent work for reasonable prices, and they clean up after themselves! Last big job they did for me was removing three trees that needed to go after Hurricane Matthew; 1 was about 60-70 tall, split at the base and was headed straight for my neighbors boat - but hung up in the crotch of another tree. They got that down without damaging anything (including the boat and fence). 2nd tree was lifting its root ball, and was headed for the power lines. They dropped all of that without ever even touching the power line. Third one was easy - nothing in the way and down it came. All cut up, swept up and taken away, and for about half of other bids I got for the work. Highly recommended!

They did an amazing service from their customer service to their feild agents. My wife and i could not have asked for a better service. I did not have to be at home for my estimate nor dod neither my wife or i have to take off work for the actual service. They were able to do everything quikly and seemlessly and left no mess. Thanks again for giving my wife and I peace of mind during the hurricane season.
